History:
Quintana street was named after the Quintana brothers who settled the area in the 1920?s, selling their farmland in the north and coming to “La Villa Royal” or the “Royal City” as Santa Fe was then called, to educate their families.
The house was built in the 1930?s by the oldest son, Juan, in the traditional adobe brick, southwestern style. In 1998, Michael Roybal, second cousin to Juan, bought and renovated the original house. This was our second stay. It is comfortable, the kitchen is large with good appliances. Covered parking. Great outdoor space. If you can’t be home this is a great substitute.

Outstanding experience! We’ve traveled all over the world and this is the nicest accommodation we’ve ever had. Beats a hotel any day!!
The hot tub, sitting under the fruiting apricot (?) tree in the mornings and evenings, the rustic furniture and decor, the upgraded appliances—everything was just right! If we’re ever here again, we’re staying at this casa again!!

This was a very comfortable and well-appointed place to spend a week in a quiet, safe neighborhood. It was very convenient to be able to walk to the center. When needs arose, the host was available and responsive. A warm, inviting space to return to after a day of exploring.

What a great Santa Fe vacation home! Beautiful decor and artwork. Every day we were finding different interesting pieces we hadn’t noticed yet! The home is spacious, comfortable, and so well supplied and appointed. We loved being able to walk to the Plaza, the Railyard, and to Canyon Road. We had our E- bikes with us and were able to hop on the River Trail right from the home, and then to transfer onto the Rail Trail and the Arroyo de los Chamisos for longer rides. The home is also very conveniently located for jaunts outside of the city (Bandelier, Taos, etc. ). Each day’s adventures were topped off with a soak in the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Quintana!

She was very interactive when she was waiting for final payment. After I booked I realized I added the trip protection. I immediately asked her to take off and also contacted Vrbo. They said she had to approve. I txt her while we were driving in to see if we could get in early. We were arriving 30 min before check in. No response. When we arrived the front door was not cooperating.again I txt her and no response. Never heard from her our entire stay. Her location is amazing I lm assuming thats why no one complains. The home is beautiful but if you have a problem you are on your on

Wonderful place to stay near the central plaza. Modern, clean, and very well-equipped while retaining traditional charm. It snowed most of the time I was there and walks and patio were shoveled thoroughly and on a very timely basis. This is definitely a “do again” place.

Had a great stay. Loved how the place was decorated, hot tub was fun during the snow, and kitchen was great and well stocked with a few things we forgot. A short walk to the square made it a fun weekend.

The property was as advertised, and was extremely comfortable, well equipped and nicely located in a quiet neighbourhood. We appreciated the off street parking and the proximity to the Plaza. The outside private space was lovely, and it was nice to enjoy breakfast and after dinner drinks on the patio with the large sun shade just outside the back door. We appreciated the art, decor and antiques in the house, as well as the availability of just about everything anyone could want or need to make their stay as comfortable as possible. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

We had a great week at the property. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked very well. We brought our pup and there was plenty of room in the back yard for her feel comfortable as well. The covered parking on a quiet street was great. We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the pricing stays the same.

The house is pleasant and comfortable including a lounger in the living room, a VRBO first for us. We loved having morning coffee and genuine French croissants (from nearby Mille) on the lovely shaded side porch beside the prolific apricot tree. 2 separate patios plus a comfortable front porch encourage outdoor living. Overall a great stay that ensures that we will return. Air conditioning was a real plus in the unusually hot weather

Comfy home with excellent air conditioning and clean hot tub. Kitchen well stocked including spices. Easy flat walk to Plaza and only a couple blocks walk to Dolina for the most delicious and light Chicken and Waffles ever. Was a great “home base” for our vacation week

We had a lovely stay! Everything of interest we wanted to check out was within an easy walk or drive. The house is cozy and clean. Brenda is a great and responsive host!

The king size bed is rock-hard. As a senior, every morning I felt like I'd been in a fist fight. I would give this a 5 star otherwise. The property and location were great. That bed is complete junk and should be ditched. Seriously. The other concern was only getting a single key. While normally that is fine, the front door always locks behind you when closed. It would be very easy to lock yourself out accidentally. We tracked that stupid key like a hawk to avoid that very event. The door needs a different lock.

We loved staying at this beautiful home and it was perfect for us! It has been tastefully, renovated and decorated. Having grown up in a historic home, I really appreciated the place. The location is convenient to so much that Santa Fe offers, we only used our car to go places out of town. The hot tub and beautiful gardens were a nice bonus. It is much nicer in person than the photos reflect. I felt at home here and would definitely rebook it for the next we are in Santa Fe!

Spotlessly clean, well furnished, quiet neighborhood, everything was in working order and best of all, allowed us to bring our well behaved dogs. One of the best neighborhoods being close to the Plaza, local attractions, museums, restaurants and the dog park. Hard to beat for a couple with dogs. Will be coming back to this rental.
