Lovely private cabin on a picturesque lake! Exactly as advertised :) my now fiancé and I got engaged here and it could not have been more perfect!

We were looking for a quiet, affordable cabin with privacy as a place to write and relax. This cabin was perfect. It was close enough to run to town for an extra sweatshirt when it was cold a couple of days, but at the end of a dirt road for quiet when we wanted that.
The communication was good and Victor and Judy next door were very helpful. We used the kayaks and life vests, swam off the dock, and the sunfish were biting like crazy. A perfect place for me to teach my nephew to fish.
The sunrises were amazing. Definitely get up to see at least one while you're there. The stargazing was phenomenal, too. I saw a shooting star the second night we stayed.
A couple to things to know - there is a path from the parking area to the cabin. It is an easy trek, but for anyone with mobility issues, it could be a challenge. Additionally, the bathroom is in a separate building. It is plumbed and the shower is there and works great, but it is separate from the cabin if that is an issue. We didn't have any problems as the wooden walkway is easy to navigate and the lighting they have installed is amazing.
If seclusion is your thing, this is your place. The WiFi worked really well for us and we were grateful not to have a TV take up one of the walls of the cabin as so many do now. Our pup Lily LOVED everything about her stay - the sniffing, the swimming, and watching paddlers and boaters go by.
One last item... if you enjoy photography, this is a great place. The view is unbeatable.

Our 6th or 7 visit to this cabin and its always a great little getaway - rain or shine. Its clean and offers everything you need to have a nice relaxing stay. The water is beautiful - was 73 degrees! And Farmington is a great little town with local shops and restaurants.

We love hanging out at the camp in the fall. This is our special place. Victor is a great host. Full kitchen, wood burning stove, comfy bed, linens etc. Also very private and quiet. Had the SUP out and went for a dip in the pond. We always have a lovely time regardless of the weather. This time we visited Rangeley for the 1st time. So much to explore.

Just recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend with my family. The location on the lake is great, you can't be any closer to the water which is what we wanted. Kids enjoyed catching fish from the dock and the views from the porch cant be beat.

This rustic Maine cabin was everything we hoped it would be: in the woods, quiet, rustic, and on the water. No frills. If you are looking for modern amenities this is not your rental. If you are looking for the way life used to be and a peaceful retreat go no further. We can’t wait to return.

What a perfect spot to temporarily slip out of my daily life to reflect, recharge, and just sit watching the lake. This cabin combines the joys of camping with the convenience of of electricity and running water, and the wood stove made “camping” in October downright luxurious.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away and just relax. The place is exactly as advertised. Little cabin on the lake. We spent 8 days without any worries. The local town had some very good places to eat. Visited as few of the locals waterfalls and took in a movie at the local theater on the one rainy day.
Outstanding vacation.

Peace and solitude
This was our second visit to this small, rustic camp on the shore of the pond. There is no one around except an abundance of birds. I saw my first blackburnian warbler here, as well as a rainbow, eagle, and loons. The camp is old and close to nature, including being as close to the lake as you could possibly be. The dock is sturdy and new and functions as your front yard. Enjoy a swim in the cool water, and spend the evening warming up by the wood stove.

Second year in a row.
We stayed again for the second year in a row for my husband's birthday. It was rainier than what we expected but cozy with the wood stove and still plenty of time to fish and kayak.

Hidden Gem
We love how tucked away and private this little cabin is. It is the perfect place to unwind and de-stress. Beautiful lake views, stunning sunrises, coffee on the dock, fire on chilly nights and the best day bed for napping and reading. Can't wait till next time.

The ultimate in peace and quiet!
A beautiful location, like something from a century ago, the song of loons on the lake putting me to sleep at night! Owner described to location perfectly in his listing, and published a wonderful and complete user manual.
