This place is perfect. It has perfect spaces for allowing time together and time to yourself. The screened in porch provides a wonderful spot for birdwatching and reflexing while taking in the fresh mountain air. The sunroom off the main bedroom allows one to relax among the trees. The kitchen island is the spot for cooking and dining as a family. The round dining table transforms beautifully into a space for playing games and creating great memories of laughter. Our family will definitely be coming back to this house again. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!

Beautiful house. Plenty of dishes and other house items. Plenty of parking. We really needed to be on other side of the lake because of the music week activities but we knew ahead of time that we would have to travel. The porches were wonderful for all ages

Cozy and feels like home, in a great area! Fantastic place to have family or a place to spend some alone time. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Very quiet and peaceful! Friendly people all around, nice neighbors! Close to lake, it offers everything you need, a home away from home.

This home is in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to Lake Junaluska. The kitchen was very nice. We spent most time in the sunroom off the side of the house looking out to the deck and covered porches. It was like being outside with a very comfy couch and an ample supply of birdseed. So even though it was a wet weekend it was very nice. Huge rhododendrons in front of the house and throughout the neighborhood were alone worth the drive.

My husband, I and little pup Charlie really enjoyed our time at this beautiful house. The house is located just about a block from the lake with gorgeous mountain views from just about every room. They have a bird feeder that attracts the most beautiful birds we've ever seen. The house had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed walking around the lake daily. You'll have to try the crepes at " Crepes & Custard right at the lake. While we usually stay in Maggie valley this time, we decided to do something a bit different We were so glad that we did. It was really nice to enjoy Lake Junalaska so close by. Alice, the host answered any questions we had and was very helpful and courteous. We would definitely recommend anyone staying there and look forward to visiting this gem again!

This is our second stay in Alice's home, and we'll be back! The house is perfectly suited for several couples with plenty of cozy spots to perch with a good book or conversation. We love Lake Junaluska, have been visiting the area for many years, but lucked out when we found this home that works for everyone. Just a terrific vacation for all of us!

Again we enjoyed our stay at a great, beautful location as was the weather, temps and home. Great for family gatherings younger than 80+. The lounge furniture is particularly elderly conducive but even so we enjoyed our stay immensely. The porch and watching the birds were delightful. Daily walking the streets/hills was enjoyable. The golf course is close by with good variety hole challenges and area views.

Excellently equipped, comfortable and livable space with all the amenities of home in a beautiful location with wonderful outdoor spaces. It's a bit like living in a tree house by a lake. It was our second stay--but it won't be our last.

Perfect is the best way to describe this getaway. The location is just back from the lake giving it a feeling of seclusion, but close enough for easy access to all the wonderful amenities of the lake. The place has a relaxing feel with every room having its own uniqueness. The outdoor rooms were a bonus! After several years of visiting the lake, this house is the BEST!

The property is wonderful as is the location. We spent about 10 days over the Christmas holiday with our two college aged children. Having previously stayed in the Maggie Valley area, the home is centrally located between all the attractions the Great Smokey Mountain area has to offer.
But one of the unique features to the area is the beautiful path looping around Lake Junaluska, it made for a great morning walk.
The home has everything you need whether you're just looking to relax by the one of the huge windows in the many different seating areas inside and out to cooking up a feast in the large kitchen.
Wonderful stay, Thanks Alice!

The VRBO listing was entirely accurate - this home is comfortable, welcoming, well-maintained, and the host has thought of everything you'd possibly need. We were a party of 6 - 3 sisters + husbands + dog. Everyone felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. Kitchen works well for multiple cooks, plenty of places to sit with others or alone. Walkable to lake front pathway, 1 mile from Stuart Auditorium (where we attended a music festival) We love Junaluska, Waynesville and the entire area. Just a wonderful time in a lovely home. Thank you Alice! We'll be back next year!

Our family came to the area for a family reunion. Alice’s home was the perfect place to stay! It’s clean, has all the amenities and beautiful views of the lake.
It’s easy to find, right off the highway and close to anything you may need. Our reunion was in Candler and we went with my daughter to house hunt in Asheville. Alice’s place was close enough to do all this and quiet enough to give us rest. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time staying here with our toddler and my parents. The kitchen is well appointed and we loved sitting in the screened porch. Our toddler especially loved hearing the clock chime softly and watching the birds at the feeders. We took walks around the lake and the house is perfectly situated in lake Junaluska with easy access to Waynesville, Maggie Valley and short drive into Asheville. The host is very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again! Thank you for sharing your vacation home with our family.

It had been 5 years since we had been together for a visit! Alice’s house was a wonderful home away, comfortable, super clean and well furnished, with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for gatherings and meals. And so convenient to walking path around the lake! And the birds that came to her feeders! And the comfy beds! And the air conditioning set to a perfect temperature! And on and on. We appreciated and enjoyed it all!
