Great house, lots of space, spiral staircase is a little tricky but managable

It was a great location and the home was in good shape. The majority of the bedrooms are up spiral staircases. It was great for us but could be a challenge for some. There was a problem with VRBO not including the check-in/checkout instructions on their website. The hosts sent us all of the instructions, but would be nice to include a hardcopy of those instructions in the house. Overall it was a very positive experience and I woudl recommend this place to anyone. Would be great for families with kids.

Wonderful stay in Colorado
This was a fun house to stay in. Large open area that was great for the kids, location to town was good and lots of options for dining and activities very close. Had one issue and management was very responsive and resolved the situation. The home could use a few little maintenance updates but overall is is a fantastic home, the layout is good, home is well stocked with all the things you need for cooking and having a wonderful trip. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice Home
Huge common space, beautiful big home for a large gathering. The hot tub water was greenish in color and smelled bad, on our last day a truck was blocking the driveway and there was someone working on the hot tub that wouldn't speak to us. He left and we didn't look at the hot tub again. Disappointed about the hot tub, but we loved the property and would stay again.

RENTERS BEWARE: FIVE KIDS CAME HOME WITH NASTY BUMPS AND WELTS DUE TO CARPET BEETLES
Rented this property to celebrate Christmas with extended family. Unfortunately 5 kids came home with NASTY RED BUMPS AND WELTS on various parts of their bodies. Kids are from two separate families and weren’t together before or after the trip so we knew it was from something in the cabin. I immediately took my kid with the more severe bumps and welts to the doctor and she thought they were bed bug bites.
We contacted the owner and he was responsive. He had two separate pest control companies come out to do inspections. The owner shared the inspection reports and while no bed bugs were found, CARPET BEETLES were. The owner seems to think CARPET BEETLES are no big deal because they don't bite.
While CARPET BEETLES don’t “bite” they can leave red welts/bumps and rashes due to an allergic reaction to hairs or bristles on the abdomen of carpet beetle larvae as well as to traces of the insect's blood. (GROSS!) These welts/bumps are easily confused with bed bug bites because they both often appear in a straight line or row.
I requested a partial refund given the time, worry and trouble the CARPET BEETLES caused - for two full days after our stay two mothers had to do research to try to figure out what caused the welts/bumps/rashes, carefully inspect and launder all clothes and luggage brought home from the property and incur costs taking one kid to the doctor to try to figure out what was going on. Not what you expect after returning from a stay at an “Upscale Retreat”.
I left the amount of the refund up to the owner but instead of refunding us for our time cleaning and researching, kid's discomfort and medical bill, he offered a free 4 night stay in the Spring or Summer. While he assured us he is steam cleaning the carpet, staying at the cabin again is not a risk I want to take. Not everyone is allergic to CARPET BEETLES but I know my kids are allergic so I said NO THANK YOU to his offer of a free stay.
RENTERS BEWARE - if you are allergic to CARPET BEETLES there is a good chance you will come home from this property with some nasty bumps and welts!!

Amazing stay at the top of the hill!
There were a few small issues with the house that were not addressed prior to our visit, but also did not effect our stay. Besides noting those, all was perfect -- to the HOT Hottub during our first night adventure in 4 degrees; to the amazing fireplace and the entire game/ grand room; to the space, top 3rd floor with all the bunk beds was perfect for all of our kiddos!
While cooking in the large kitchen hot meals, the kids played their hearts out with the games provided in the house up in the awesome loft! Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better place to accommodate such a wonderful birthday celebration with my Loves!
My personal favorite thing to do AFTER the hot tub; with ridiculous views!! Was to lay on one of the many couches in the grand room and just watch the fire burn and look up at the beautiful spiral stairs and details in that brick wall! :)
Thank you Chuck!

Lots of room, pets and location
If you need a lot of room a great location and have pets, this is the place for you. Not all beds are comfy and spiral staircase can be precarious for older people. However a crowd with kids and pets will do well

A magical vacation!
My family and extended family spent the most wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at this property! Cooking together was delightful in the wonderful, welcoming kitchen. My nephew entertained us during this time as he played on the piano and others played games while the fire was burning. The hot tub was a wonderful end of the night experience for some while others of us used it after an early morning walk.
The home was very clean and the customer service from the owners couldn't have been better. I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants to enjoy time with others and have the added benefit of space to spread out and be alone if they'd like.
