I stayed here with my wife, one year, old son, and our dog, for five nights. We have visited the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia in the past, but this was by far the best experience we have ever had, and this was by far the best property we’ve ever stayed in at the Blue Ridge Mountains. The host, Leanne, is more than accommodating and super reasonable. Also, the home has a really nice energy. We really didn’t have to leave the property most of our trip.

Leanne and her beautiful home is just amazing. It was everything we were looking for and more. Leanne had everything we needed. Only one trip to the Dollar General was needed (and that was for ice cream 😂). Leanne welcomed us on our 1st day and checked in on our last to make sure everything was okay during our stay. We will be back!! ❤️
On a side note if you like seafood check out The Cove in Morganton. It was very good and only a short drive from house.

We really enjoyed our stay. Property is remote and private. Leanne was great with communication. The dogs absolutely loved the property. Really great place to relax and unwind.

This is a very roomy log cabin with one easy step to the main porch. Plenty of comfy seating with a large TV and beautiful fireplace. An added bonus was a beautiful huge lit up tree in the great room and lit up smaller trees on the fireplace mantel. It just set the mood for a wonderful week. Lots of areas to explore on this property as well. We had a lovely time at the cabin.

We loved it- Just as described!
The property is just as described. Perfect retreat for the family who wants to get away from it all. Jacuzzi was hot and ready upon our arrival and cabin was clean. I would suggest arriving prior to sundown, it is deep in the mountains and a dirt road leading to cabin so was a bit hard to find at night as we arrived and GPS steered us slightly off. But once we knew where it was, no problems from there.
The beds were left unmade with clean sheets provided for us to make to ensure that they were washed. I didn’t mind this, but some people may, so decided to share.
Leanna was very communicative and responded timely when needed. Game room was perfect for kids and the adults. Pool table was slightly uneven but still very functional and we enjoyed it! The views every morning of the lake and nearby running creek was soothing, especially at night. Kids got to enjoy the fire pit and run freely all over the property and felt safe. The local neighbors were kind and greeted us as we drove by. Best part was the abundance of stars you see at night since the cabin is so deep in the mountains far from the city. With that said, it’s about a 20 min. Ride to get out to the Main road but the views along the way are stunning as well.
The only thing I can say negative is the garbage situation which is manageable but not ideal. Given that you are in the mountains there is no waste management out there. So we were notified after the booking that we were responsible for bringing the bags of trash out to be disposed, otherwise a $10 fee per bag that was left. We managed just fine and took the trash out daily with us as we went out for our excursions for the day. On the last day we just left cash with a couple bags that were left. The wifi/internet is also not the best given the location and was constantly buffering while watching movies, alternative was to watch DVD’s that were available at the cabin. So if your looking to do remote work, it was difficult with the lag in internet, but with all that is surrounding the cabin you shouldn’t be distracted with work and take it all in and truly enjoy the beauty around.
Overall the cabin was great and is exactly as described. The mornings were beautiful and so much to explore around the property. Our entire group really enjoyed it all and would definitely return again!!! Would highly suggest it if your looking for a quick get away from the world for some quality time with no interruptions.

WORTH THE TRIP
Went up there to get some down time with my business partner. Beautiful tucked away property and not far from the lake or river. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed.

Great Property!
Had a great time on this spacious property. The cabin was just as we had hoped and there was plenty of room for the dogs to run around. Also close to other activities like hiking trails and a winery.

Cozy Family Getaway
This cabin was so wonderful for our family getaway. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The property is very well maintained. I absolutely loved that she had a Christmas tree up (we went right before Christmas), it really gave the house a comfortable, homey feel! Blue Ridge is only about 20 mins away, so you get the peace and quite at the cabin, but are close enough to the city to grab what you need. The host Leanne was excellent, very quick to respond. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful cabin
Our stay was very pleasant. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. It was decorated very festive and bright! It is just what we hoped for to gather with family all over the country. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. I did find Leanne a bit difficult to communicate with and her tone is often times offensive. I was constantly reminded if the contract and and the tasks to leave the cabin loomed as I had anxiety about all of the details to remember-lest I be “charged” I can tell she is very thorough but we found it quite uncomfortable. Taking all of ones trash when leaving proved to be a real inconvenience and my brothers poor dog got very sick from getting into it on their drive home. All in all we had a nice stay.

Peaceful respite
My husband, our 2 dogs and I stayed a week at this peaceful property surrounded by beauty. We were lucky to have visited during peak leaf color season. We enjoyed hiking around the property and on some of the local hiking trails. The dogs loved to run and fetch on the grassy area of the property. Visited town of Blue Ridge several times and enjoyed the local winery, Serenberry, which has very tasty Port. Enjoyed a crackling fire several nights. We loved sitting on the front porch to just take in the beauty of the mountains and to listen to the creek. The hot tub was so nice after a day of exploring. We had no issue with entering the property and do not have a four wheel drive. The property had everything with exception of an iron. Enjoy your visit!

Peaceful beauty
What a great house. It’s so peaceful and you can sit on the back deck and listen to the creek. Very private and has everything you need for your stay. Convenient to blue ridge but far enough to enjoy the beauty of Georgia.

Beautiful cozy comfortable absolutely perfect
Our stay at this property was absolutely fantastic. The home & property far exceeded every aspect of the description on vrbo!! The property owner was in contact & accessible throughout our 9 day stay, while we did not have any issues or problems during our stay. The home cozy, comfortable & beautiful in every detail, the property secluded yet accessible & close enough to Blue Ridge for groceries & to many fantastic sightseeing must-dos in the area. Honestly the views & scenery the property offers made it hard to want to leave for any extra sightseeing. Even our dogs had an amazing time exploring the property, they loved visiting the creek every morning & late afternoon, the field between the small pond, house & creek was an perfect area to work with our dogs on off-leash recall and basic obedience skills or just enjoy long leash walks and hanging out on the deck at the end of the pond. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful peaceful retreat very soon.

If You Are looking To Get Lost For Awhile . . .
Wonderful place. We enjoyed our time and wish we could have done more while there. The deck is awesome, especially in the early morning or in the evening - cup of coffee or a beverage of your choice, some tunes (bring a wireless speaker), a good book, or just sitting to take it all in. For rainy days, there is a treasure trove of games, puzzles and books in the main bathroom closet - or bring your own! There's also plenty of room for families and friends. Be sure to spend some time in Blue Ridge to check out the many cool shops and restaurants and/or at the nearby Mercier Orchards with the kids. If you're into hiking or walking, the Benton MacKaye Trail is close by and the walk up to the top of the mountain road near the cabin is invigorating. But make sure to plan for some down time for a great recharge. Start a tradition here - it's worth it!

Labor Day Celebration
My adult children, their partners and I
Celebrated my Birthday. The cabin
Was very secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for.
We did have an issue with the previous renters leaving their trash, but Leanne handled that for us.
I would go back to the cabin again!

"perfect cabin in the mountains"
What a beautiful setting! The cabin is well maintained and the amenities where all awesome. Sitting on the porch was amazing, so relaxing to hear the creek watching the deer graze the field every afternoon. The owners communication throughout the process was great! Will definitely be back!!

Good get away from the world
My family and I had a pretty good time at the property. It was relaxing and almost reinvigorated the attitudes of all who went. When they say the cabin is in the woods, they are not kidding. The lack of cell service was only an issue once when my wife and I didn't come back when the children thought we should. We can't complain about that since we had at least one dinner without them, and we enjoyed the peace.

Fantastic use of space
We all had a grand time! With 8 adults, we did not feel like we were on top of each other. We had many games at the table and at the pool table. The hot tub was perfect! The location was also perfect - close to boating, tubing, swimming at the lake and joy riding in the country!

Family & Friends Vacation
We really enjoyed the house and property...morning and evening walks in the woods, sitting on the front porch watching the humming birds and making s'mores around the fire pit.

That porch!
We stayed with another family, 9 people total, and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. There was space to have a family kickball game and s'mores on the campfire. The favorite spot at the cabin was the porch! There was a porch swing, rocking chairs and a chair to lounge in. We also spent many mornings outside eating breakfast. Beautiful!

Great cabin in the woods
Awesome place the owner was very friendly and able to help us. The house was decorated for Christmas which I loved and was as described. I will say if you like to play pool the pool table was not level or really able to be played. Other than that great place to stay.
Thanks

Christmas Vacation
We loved this cabin and truly enjoyed our time there. We spent an early Christmas there with our 4 children. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. Leanne had a Christmas tree up, so we were able to enjoy that as well. The location was perfect, everything was really nice and just what we were looking for. The only downfall for us was that the weather was not so great - no fault to anyone, other than Mother Nature. It rained 2 out of the 3 days we were there, non-stop. We had plans to do some hiking and to also go snow tubing at Snow Mountain. Unfortunately, our snow tubing reservations were cancelled the day before due to the bad weather. That being said, we spent more time in the cabin than we had planned on and I think the only thing we would have enjoyed a little more would be better TV's. The main TV in the living room is very old and very small, a tube TV. And although we did not bring a gaming console for the downstairs TV, my husband said it's not compatible with newer systems (ours is a PS4). Like I said, we didn't bring it so it didn't matter - just a mention for future guests. The cabin is lovely and we hope to make it back again one day.

Holidays in the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains
My family and I very much enjoyed our week during the holidays here. Just a few helpful tips for prospective renters - no Keurig (not a big deal to us), both ends of the driveway have a pretty steep incline, bad weather may make it difficult for the average vehicle (we had a truck), also be sure you only communicate with Owner through Homeaway , so you both have record of your conversations.
The home itself and the location where exactly what we were looking for. Thank you Leanne.

Christmas Cabin
The cabin was perfect for our needs. My parents and brother's family were all able to come and stay comfortably. We celebrated our Christmas early while here. There was a Christmas tree setup before we arrived. We visited Blue Ridge here and the Asks Adventure area is not too far. The neighborhood area is quiet and there is a pond in front of the cabin.

Leanne's cabin in the woods was the perfect location to see the fall foliage and relax in the crisp air. Will definitely be back.

Our mountain getaway was a great time shared with our children and three beautiful granddaughters.
Our experience in renting this beautiful cabin was easy. Leanne answered our questions and her response was in a timely manner. From cooking out with our children and three beautiful granddaughters to campfires at night and marshmallows and s’mores made fond memories we will treasure. The cabin is beautiful and spacious and very relaxing. We enjoyed everything it had to offer and maybe we will be able to do again next year. Memories are best when made with family and getting away in a beautiful setting like this we will treasure. Thanks Leanne!

Great place to stay
Loved the property. We were a group of 10 and there was enough room for all of us to sleep comfortably. Everything was in order when we arrived and I must say the kitchen was great stocked with just about everything you may need to cook with. Leeann was very responsive to all my questions prior to booking and arriving on the property. The only drawbacks for us was that the master bathroom sinks were very, very slow draining. Just left yucky residue after washing hands or brushing teeth. In addition, the wifi reception was pretty much nonexistent. We were unable to communicate with the outside world during our stay there, which wasn't so bad because it gave us some time to truly disconnect. However I'm not sure this maybe be suitable for everyone. Lastly, beware of hornets. My husband and brother in law went exploring the back of the property near the firepit and ran into a hidden nest. (Still dont know where exactly they were). My husband ended up being stung at least 6 times. Luckily the kids were not around as they did this before hand to make sure it was all clear
