About this house rental
An Idyllic home with sweeping views of glittering Camden Harbor and perfectly located in Camden village just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Harbor Watch is a renovated, historic, Victorian cottage that offers commanding views of the Camden Harbor and Mount Battie from the expansive wrap-around-porch and modern amenities such as AC and ceiling fans in 3 of of the 4 bedrooms. Harbor Watch is located on a rare in-town, oversized lot with a large lawn that provides privacy for the home. This is one of the closest homes to Camden village and the inner harbor and a very unique rental opportunity.
The seaside town of Camden is known as a uniquely beautiful place where the "mountains meet the sea" and the inspiration for Edna St. Vincent Millay's world renowned poem "Renascence." It will inspire and rejuvenate you. Discover its charms and relaxed sophistication. Enjoy the universe that is Camden. Camden has it all: breathtaking lakes, mountains, a waterfall, a quaint seaside village, world-class yachtsman's harbor, Curtis Island and the incomparable sailing ground that is Penobscot bay. Experience festivals, fine dining, theater, outdoor activities (hiking, sailing, golfing, ocean kayaking to lighthouses and even downhill skiing or cross-country skiing or the National toboggan festival in the winter). Enjoy the Pop Tech conference, the Cellardoor vineyard events or the February Camden foreign policy conference. Go sightseeing and shopping, visit vineyards and art galleries and the opera house or savor seafood at a rustic lobster shack. Camden is a little bit of heaven.

This was a return visit for us and continues to be a delightful place. The only drawback is the one TV in the living room is extremely dated and doesn’t stream. However, when we requested a solution, the property manager responded quickly and provided her personal AppleTV!!

We have stayed in this house several times and will be back again! It has unmatchable views of the Camden Harbor and a rare in-town yard that offers privacy and space for kids (and adults) to play/spread out. We spend countless hours drinking coffee on the porch watching boats come in and out of thew harbor, roasting smores over the backyard fire pit and walking 2 blocks to the candy shop, ice scream store, general market or fantastic waterfront restaurants. A special place...

Excellent week in this home! Had a family of 5, 3 generations, with plenty of space for additional family to come and visit! Beautiful harbor view from back deck, nice walk to town or to Laite Beach. Kitchen was well-stocked, home was clean and comfortable. Be aware that as an older home, it does have narrow stairs and no bathroom/bedroom on main floor. Had one minor problem, was quickly, professionally, and efficiently handled by Kate. We had another incredible week in Camden and would highly recommend this home for the space, comfort, cleanliness, location, and view!

We loved our stay here...lovely house, beautifully decorated. The views of the harbor from the deck were dazzling. The stairs took some getting used to..

The home is perfectly located in the charming town of Camden...beautiful view of the harbor and walking distance to town. The deck has a great view and is a lovely place to relax.
The only downside might be the steep stairs to the upstairs bedrooms, and the stairs to the downstairs bedroom and bath. There is no bathroom on the main level which might be of concern to some visitors.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and management was responsive to our concerns.

It was 4 adults getting away, we loved Camden Maine. The house was located in wonderful area. I wish the description would have included the other bathroom / bedroom was down deep in the basement. House was clean and had plenty of cookware. Fireplace was fickle, sometimes it worked other times it didn’t.

House was perfect and exactly as described. Ideal location just a few minutes from all the action but the house was perfectly quiet and relaxing.

Harbor Watch was fantastic - extremely clean, light and bright, well-stocked, hooks everywhere, great views of harbor and boat traffic, perfect location for walks to dinner and quiet. Highly recommend for 2 couples or family.

We loved our stay! It was nice to have a short walk to all Camden had to offer. The house was very charming and had everything we needed. The host had extra touches such as fresh flowers and specialty cofee. Lastly the view was beautiful!

Lovely little property with sweeping bay views. Great two block walk to town for ice cream or dinner. Two blocks the other direction for Laite Beach for relaxing or paddle boarding. Highly recommend.
For creature comforts like games, puzzles, books, even Bluetooth speakers you’ll need to provide your own as house is sparse. But it’s clean,
comfortable and charming.

This property was superb for our three couples. Walking distance to town center, plenty of places to eat, very scenic. The back porch overlooking the harbor is great!

Charming, super clean, great amenities. Close to town but on a quiet street. More than a typical vacation rental. Came here for a wedding but felt that we were in the honeymoon cottage.

Enjoyable stay- amazing water views and great location
The location of this house and the amazing view can’t be beat! Walk down the hill to shops and restaurants and spend the day watching the boats go by in the harbor. A bit of an unusual layout that would be good to bear in mind in case it impacts your group- 1) no restroom on main level (full baths on level 2 and basement), 2) twin bed on level 2 has no door and no AC, 3) there weren’t a ton of places to sit inside together (which we didn’t mind since we were outside most of the time). We loved the location and thoroughly enjoyed the massive deck with bar chairs, lounge chairs, Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. The house was clean and well appointed. I’d definitely return!

Beautiful view. Super close to beach and shopping/restaurants.
Loved the deck looking over the bay. Snapped some gorgeous pics at sunset one morning. Well equipped house and super clean. Enjoyed the evening conversation around the fire pit roasting marshmallows (pro tip from my daughter is to use mini waffles instead of graham crackers).

Location is Amazing!
This house is in the prime location for Camden. It is on a quiet street but only a few blocks to the center of everything. There are very few houses with such a great location. Great back deck overlooking the harbor.

An ideal place to stay
Bright, comfortable, clean 1890 home with unbeatable views of the harbor. The beds were great and our party of six had plenty of space. Honestly, the only thing we would do differently next time is bring a coffee maker with us, as the house comes with a Keurig machine only.

All was as promised at the beautifully restored farmhouse on a quiet, manicured street. On the 5-minute walk into Camden, a charming coastal town, there are galleries, restaurants, an ice cream shop, a bakery and an old-fashioned candy store that delighted all 4 adults in our party. The back deck offered a stone's-throw view of the quintessential Maine harbor. Even the view from the front of the house was lovely: a landscaped facade of the chic (and pricey) Natalie's Restaurant. The clean, white house has nice big windows that let light stream in from all sides. At night, the huge tree in front of Natalie's is lit from top to bottom, a pretty sight that the front bedroom shades sufficiently shut out for the night. The washer and dryer were easy to use and so convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed. The gas fireplace helped to warm a couple of cool, end-of-summer nights. Kate was an efficient and responsive host. Our stay exceeded expectations. We would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it!

Cool Breezes
The house was pristine! White & clean! The porch and its view are amazing and we spent a lot of time out there, really good for our two year old grandson who loved watching bubbles we blew for him floating away across the yard. Steps to the upstairs are steep and there is no bathroom on the first floor, but there is a nice bathroom with shower on the ground level floor (large room with two twin beds) and a elbathroom with bath/shower on the second level with two rooms ( one Q bedroom and 1 K) and a single bed in alcove. Close to town and across from Natalie's incredible restaurant with its lovely gardens!

Everything we hoped for and more!
The home was 100% what we were hoping for. So close to town, and such a wonderful view of the Harbor. We had a wonderful time eating dinner out there, as well as playing in the yard with our little one.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the house. I was especially impressed by how clean it was throughout all of the house. The owners really have paid great attention to detail in the accomodations provided to the guests. We will 100% be back!

Lovely
We love this house- this was our second time renting and it was great. The woman who manages it was super helpful- we had a small glitch with the cable- and she came over and fixed the problem just in time for World Cup!

Fabulous location and view and very comfortable!
This house had everything that we were looking for. The views from the deck were fabulous. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. The location is great with lots to do within walking distance. For an extended visit I'd recommend stocking up at Hanneford's. But the grocery store right down the street is perfect for fill-in. And the pastry store nearby is out of this world. Plenty of great restaurants that you can walk to.
