About this house rental
The cottage is our family's home away from home. We hope you fall in love with it as much as we have. As a family of 6 it fits us perfectly with a little room to spare. It is a special place that will call you back; you can feel the love!
We chose Charlevoix as our second home because we felt it is a perfect blend of all you could want: beauty, nature, fun, relaxation and Charlevoix is close to other destinations like Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne City and Mackinac. From strolling the downtown shops, browsing an art fair or festival, walking to the lighthouse, taking a sunset cruise on the one of many charters, getting lost in the town's magnificent library, rock hunting, exploring the fall colors or winter sports, there is something for everyone nearby.
We have all that you need and more at the cottage, we tried to keep it as welcoming, true and authentic as a Michigan cottage could be. We have a 40" HDTV with a blu-ray DVD, Bose speakers and high speed wireless internet for those that need to stay connected. We also offer a gas Weber grill and patio set in the backyard. You get access to both of our paddle boards! Scattered throughout is artwork produced by our daughters and art handed down from our family. We ask you to explore and also respect our home as these things are dear to us.
The house is around 1400 sq ft. There are 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. One bedroom has a new Tempurpedic mattress. The second bedroom has a new full pillow-top mattress and the third bedroom is an open loft space (no door, between the other bedrooms) with 2 comfortable bunk beds (yes suitable for adults!).

It is a beautiful little cottage in a very quiet neighborhood. There are multiple outdoor seating areas with lots of greenery and wildlife. Very bike friendly. It's an easy scenic walk into town. We had everything we needed and would definitely recommend it.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed plus more. The location was perfect for a walk into town down or to the beach. Many things to do within a short drive as well.

Darling little house in on a great street 1/2 mile from Charlevoix main street. Very short walk to the Lake Michigan beach. House is very clean and nicely decorated. Beds are super comfortable. Backyard fire pit is amazing, love the solo stove.
My husband and I biked to the Little Traverse Wheelway and rode to Petoskey. We also kayaked out of East Jordan. Town beach very nice, also.

We had a lovely stay in this charming house in Charlevoix. It has recently been renovated and was clean and cozy. The house notes need updating- as there is no longer a lock box on the pillar. Also the Wi-Fi password in the instructions is no longer valid.

The house is exactly as advertised, full of charm and historic character. It was a wonderful home base for a few days of skiing at Boyne and Boyne Highlands. It's in a beautiful neighborhood of tree lined streets and restored cottages. The fireplace in the living room was a great bonus after long days out on the slopes. We'd love to come back for another visit sometime!

Charlevoix Cottage
This was an adorable cottage. The decorations and cleanliness were top notch. The proximity to Lake Michigan made for wonderful walks and bike rides to the beach. I was sad to leave.

A charming cottage in a good location. My only concern is the lack of a railing on the steep steps to the upstairs. There was a railing on one side, however, there was an opening on the opposite side that I found concerning for children.

Quaint and Homey
This cottage completely charmed us! It has been so lovingly restored with such attention to detail. Everything from wonderful bedding, towels and a well-stocked bath and kitchen to the big cozy furniture made our stay so comfortable. The cottage is in a beautiful historic neighborhood that is a short walk to town. A lovely beach is just a few blocks away! We truly enjoyed our stay!

The house was in excellent condition and will equipped. The furniture is comfortable providing several areas to relax and enjoy your time both inside and out. The neighborhood is very walkable with easy access to town, the beach and touring some of the beautiful old homes in the area. Overall a great find.

The cottage was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 5, and found the house to be the perfect size for us. Note that one of the bedrooms upstairs is actually a loft area with 2 bunk beds. Also, note that there is not a dishwasher (we managed just fine). The walk to the beach is a bit further than advertised, but still close enough to run back if you forgot something or need to grab a bite to eat. Proximity to Charlevoix is about a bike ride away (~1 mile). Very memorable place to stay, and we will likely be back!

Adorable!
Absolutely loved the property. So charming and well appointed at the same time. Really felt at home and hated to leave. Perfect location for us as my brother had just bought a property up the street, unknown to us when we booked! Super quiet neighborhood too. We enjoyed the fire pit several evenings as well. The owners have inspired me with their decorating flair. So creative, collected, and artistically done. Thank you!

We loved this area so much, we are now looking into purchasing a property of our own there!
The cottage was perfect for our little family. Our young kids were obsessed with the bunk beds. It ended up being no problem, but I didn't realize that the set of bunk beds isn't in an actual room. It's in more of a common space between the two other bedrooms on the second floor.
The location couldn't have been better: beautiful, quiet neighborhood, a block and a half (walking distance) to beach access, and easy walking distance to downtown.
Charlevoix is terrific and having the cottage as our home base was a dream. We look forward to returning soon!

We had a nice time in the area and the home was a comforting, stylish and in a great location. Perfect place for a family weekend getaway. Everyone slept well and we have some great memories.

Perfect Location
The cottage was so adorable and quaint. We were able to dig out the firepit (snow covered) and have a fire. We visited Mt McSauba and walked to the beach to visit the snow and ice on Lake Michigan multiple times. It was a wonderful trip to get away form our walls at home that felt like they were closing in on us.

Wonderful getaway to Charlevoix
A perfect spot for a visit to Charlevoix! The house is located on a quiet street just a short walk from the bridge into downtown. Beaches, shops, and restaurants are all close by. The house itself is terrific, beautifully decorated and well-appointed. We can't recommend this house highly enough for a relaxing family trip!

Perfect Lake Michigan get away
This cottage was the perfect place for our family to get away for a week. We loved being able to walk to the Lake Michigan beach and the nearby nature preserve in the dunes. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean and well maintained.

Winter Break
This property is adorable. It was perfect for our family vacation. The four teens loved the bunk area. We were close to Charlevoix where we enjoyed skiing, sledding and hiking, only a few mIles away. Dinner at the Grey Gables was delicious and it's only a five minute drive. This is a perfect spot, both in summer and winter.

Our extended, and large, family visited for 6 days - this home served as the perfect guest house. Cute, clean, convenient, comfortable - it was perfect. We've stayed here before and we're sure to stay again.

Sweet house in town
We really like this house. It's even nicer than the pictures! Lots of thoughtful details: good linens and beds, well-stocked kitchen, nice soaps, comfy cozy furniture. It's clean and sunny. While it is small, there is room to spread out, with two sitting rooms and a dining area, as well as a back yard with a fire pit. It's a 10 minute walk into town and a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What a charming house!
We stayed in this wonderful house for the week of the Venetian Festival in Charlevoix. Great location. The walk into town takes about 10 minutes; the beach is a block away. The house is furnished with everything you could possibly need and is nicely decorated. We enjoyed using the gas grill. Easy check in and good communication with owner. I would definitely go back!
