About this house rental
This 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home is nestled into the mountainside in Teton Village. It is one of the only truly ski in/ski out homes in the village as the ski resort owns our backyard. (There have been months in the past when there is not enough snowfall to ski down our driveway, but when that happens you can walk 5 minutes up a boot pack to get to the Way Home Condominium chair lift!) During the winter, we love skiing home for a late lunch, then heading back out to catch the last tram. During the summer, it's just a 10 minute walk down the hill to 5 star restaurants (like Il Villaggio Osteria), world renowned spas (like the Four Season's Spa) hopping bars (like the Mangy Moose) and the tram.
The location is obviously ideal during the ski season but it's also perfect during the summer, fall and spring as you can bike, hike and golf basically in the backyard. Our favorite hike is the Wildflower Trail which you can access from our driveway. Horseback riding, fishing and scenic/whitewater rafting down the legendary Snake River (with views of the Tetons) is also just a 20 min drive away. Also- During spring, summer and fall we almost always have a moose family that takes up residence next to our small pond in the backyard.
The first floor features a movie/family room, boot room (for ski equipment) spa (with a hot tub and table tennis) 3 bedrooms, 3 full en suite bathrooms and 1 half bath. The second floor has a living room, dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms with a full bath between them, and an art studio. 3 spacious decks on 3 sides of the house give ample views of the mountains (and our resident moose!) and provide a pleasant place to picnic in the summer and roast marshmallows in the winter. There's one outdoor and one indoor fireplace, a natural dried up rock stream that borders the property and leads to a small pond, the drinking spot for our resident wildlife. Other popular perks include a massage chair, a Steinway piano, and Maurice Villency furniture throughout.
Important note: This property has been our primary home for nearly 40 years. There are some hard to reach cobwebs (the central room has 20 ft high ceiling!), family pictures everywhere and mismatched silverware. If you are looking for a whitewashed, pristine, (soulless) rental, please do not rent our home! We try to rent it out as seldom as possible to renters who we know will appreciate it and treat it like their own. :)
We commend you on your choice of Jackson for your holiday and hope we have the chance to host you in our home!

Truly enjoyed our time at this charming home. Within walking distance to great restaurants and activities in Teton Village. House was well appointed for cookouts and offers a number of outdoor seating areas.
8.0 / 10.0
Spacious and relaxing home in Teton Village close to the National Park and other scenic sights. One drawback is there is no air conditioning and the upper level warms up and stays that way till late evening when several box fans can circulate the cool outside air. Otherwise this was exactly the launchpad for our first ever family outing and provided a wondrous place to be together for meals, hikes and taking in the beauty of the surrounding area.

This house is very charming, has everything you could ask for, and is in the best location ever! We loved the place, staying here made our trip considerably better.

We stayed at the house for a family ski trip which included age ranges from 5 to 75. Everyone enjoyed the amenities of the house - en suite bathrooms, large family room for games & puzzles, huge dining room table, and an inside hot tub that saved you from the chill outside.
The location is incredible - a short walk up the hill leads to a skiiable path to the lift. At night, we skiied all the way to the back door.
Communication was also excellent. Christina was quick to respond to questions (often in less than 15 minutes!) before and during the trip. Would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing property, ski in ski out in Teton. Working fireplace was great and the game room is a nice touch too. Super minor, but I personally prefer an outdoor hot tub, whereas this one is indoor.

We had a great time with our group here and especially enjoyed the cozy fireplace and the easy access to the trail.

Such a great house, checked all of the boxes for us especially to accommodate 10 of us. Christina the host was very responsive and a great asset. Also, if you want a truly “ski in” ski out house,” this one is the best. You have to see it to believe it. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Great stay. Very convenient. Unique house with a lot a charm. Access to lifts is easy. Modest walk to village.

We had a wonderful stay at this Teton Village home. Ski in/out access. Highly recommended.

Everything was amazing but it was NOT ski-in/out unless you are professional.

The home is a family gem that has been cared for over the years. While there are a few areas where it’s age is beginning to show, the functionality of the space is undeniable. Our large group was comfortable, never felt like we were stepping over each other, and came together cozily in the gathering places.

This was an incredible way to experience Jackson Hole. The host was responsive and courteous, house was extremely comfortable.
The short hike up to the lift and walk down to the village made logistics very easy for us and we didn’t even have to rent a car while there. We’d certainly stay here again if we were to go back with a group.

Wonderful owner to do business with. The house was wonderful. It’s a true ski in and ski out which is rare. The pictures don’t do this house justice, it’s much larger than it looks. We couldn’t have asked for anything more

Great house, amazing location, super friendly interactions with the host. Are teenagers said it was the best ski week they’ve ever had. The massage chair and hot tub were a bonus. The weather at Jackson Hole was amazing. Lots of fresh powder and absolutely phenomenal skiing. The owner could not have been more accommodating, we had flight trouble and she was great. Also, I asked if she had a crockpot like two days before we arrived, and she had one delivered from Amazon the day we arrived. It was nice to toss food in there and come home from skiing and have dinner ready! Thank you so much for going out of your way, thank you for renting your beautiful home. We plan to be back!

Great house and location. We had a group of 6 adults and the house could accommodate twice that. While the décor is a little dated, we certainly felt like welcomed guests staying in their family home. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space for both large groups and quiet spaces. When not on the mountain, we spent time cooking/dining upstairs and in the hot tub or playing ping pong downstairs.
As for the location, this was a great ski in/out home for our group of experienced skiers. We had no problem with the couple minute hike uphill from the driveway, even with the 10" of snow dumped on our second night. Out the door at 8:50am, quick hike, ski down Way Home, jump on the Union Pass chair and you're in the base village by 9am. As for the ski in, it's even easier if you're comfortable with some light off trail powder across the back yard and back to the driveway.
We walked to the base village for dinner twice during our trip and it's a 15 minute walk each way. We were even surprised to see a juvenile moose in someone's front yard on one trip.
Great house and great owner communication from Christina. Top of our list next time we visit JH.

We just left Jackson, and the whole experience was great. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac and its very quiet and private. From the living room, you can see occasional skiers and the lift through the trees.
Behind the house is the resort, and we could ski right up to the front door. Walking out to ski, its maybe two minutes of walking uphill, and then you can put your skis on and ski down to the lift. Jackson doesn't have a lot of properties like that, I think its maybe one of twenty or so with access like that.
the garage was heated, it was great having a warm car.
the house was probably built around 1990. I am sure when it was built, it was top of the line in everything. Now Its in what I'd call 'estate condition', We loved it as is. We found it very charming, comfortable and well equipped. It just feels like a really a special place to be. Excellent for a group or a family.

First off, I would recommend reading the 1-2 star reviews below with some perspective. I suspect these were written by people who did not thoroughly read the listing or who have unrealistic expectations of mountain rental homes. For context, and if you're looking for cultivated luxury, a room at the Four Seasons is the same cost per night, but per room...
As for our experience- everything was just as described in the listing and communication with Christina was timely and helpful. The house is picturesque and comfortable and you could spend an entire week just exploring the art, books, and history inside. We had 9 adults in our group and stayed for a week and never felt cramped (washer and dryer is clutch). As the listing mentions, it's a family home and it feels like it, but we all felt that added to the charm and experience. It is pretty much turnkey, and the couple small issues we ran into Christina was very helpful with (finding the extra dish towels, for example).
The house is about as ski-in ski-out as it gets. Our group ranged from beginners to experts and everybody was able to access the mountain from both routes (down to the village and a short walk to the base area or up to Way Home, about a 30 second walk up a short hill). Coming back you can literally ski up to the garage door or the back deck, and the boot room right off of the garage is an an absolute god send (if you know you know).
All in all the property was a perfect base for skiing, exploring Teton Village, Jackson, the national park, etc.

This rental, while well located and reasonably equipped, did not come as advertised.
We had a group of 7 adults for our annual ski trip. This is our second visit to Jackson Hole and the first year staying at a house as opposed to a hotel. The house is conveniently located, only 1 mile from Teton Village. The house is advertised as ski in/out. You can certainly ski in but skiing out is a stretch. In order to ski out you have to go down the driveway and then a road. Once you get to the end of the road, assuming there is enough snow to even take this route, you have to unbind and walk around 100 yards. It wasn't that bad but travelers should be prepared to do some walking to get to slopes.
The house itself is fairly well appointed but it is tired. Many items were broken. The most egregious example, and the reason for my 1 star review, was the hot tub. One of my main booking requirements for our trip was the availability of a hot tub. Upon arrival we discovered that the hot tub was not functional and likely hadn't been functional for months. I went back and read VRBO reviews, and per another reviewer, it appears the hot tub was not working in October of 2021. So, the owner had 3+ months to fix the hot tub or remove it as an amenity on VRBO. Instead, they choose to do nothing and falsely advertise this amenity. I called and left voicemails with both the property manager and the maintenance person but neither called me back. If you want to enjoy a hot tub on your ski trip choose another property. In addition to the hot tub many other items were broken. The steam room was broken down and full of debris. The ice maker was broken although a bag of ice was provided. The fridge had a broken shelf. Many of the tubs/showers didn't drain well. A lot of light bulbs were out. The outdoor grill may have worked but it had two feet + of snow and ice on top of it. The kitchen has no exhaust hood so expect it to get a little smokey if your cooking steaks or bacon.
Outside of the broken items the house was ok. It was clean when we arrived and fresh linens were on the beds. If it weren't for the broken items I would have rated this house 4 stars.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Christina's amazing home. The house was beautiful and had a very magical ski-cabin vibe to it - a wonderful open kitchen living room with a fireplace, beautiful lighting, and very comfortable bedrooms. The house was spotless when we arrived. The guestbook had entries all the way back from 1994 and our group loved reading through all the entries and adding our own. It was overall a very memorable trip for our group, and we are hoping to return in the future seasons. A few key call outs -
SKI IN SKI OUT - the house is ski in / ski out, it requires a small amount of backcountry skiing and a bit of navigation but very doable/accessible for anyone slightly better than a beginner (and was honestly quite fun to do).
KITCHEN - the kitchen was so well stocked, we cooked huge feasts for the group with ease. All the appliances were relatively modern and worked great.
BEDROOMS - the beds were super comfortable, with ample space. The master bedroom had a full walk in wardrobe and ensuite.
COMMUNICATION - Christina and the house manager were both extremely responsive, helpful and kind to the group.
Thank you Christina for the amazing stay :)

Since everyone in our group had complaints I figure I’d just copy and paste the litany of grievances rather than retyping all of them. In no particular order here they are:
MOST DEFINITELY NOT SKI IN/SKI OUT
Our sheets were dirty.
Freezer didn’t really work it was just a bag of ice to keep things cold.
Cluttered living areas
Ski in/out total bs.
Sauna not working
-Hot tub also didn’t work
-Outlets in 2 (or potentially more) of the bathrooms didn’t work
Just overall musty
Had to take Claritin everyday bc dust and mold was so bad
In our bedroom, the pillows were VERY USED. The comforter was so old. Felt so dirty.
In our bathroom, we had one towel each for our 4 day stay. Very thin and old.
The right side sink didn’t drain.
The left sink had no cold water. The faucet did not even turn on.
The shower curtain liners in every bathroom were the thinnest piece of plastic, I don’t know how it qualifies as a liner.
The fireplace screen was broken. As was the fireplace door. It’s really dangerous as we all saw hot sparks popping out.
The kitchen was all around pretty gross. There was a greasy film on everything. Yuk!
The garbage situation was awful. We contacted the owner the day we arrived. She should have had her handy guy come and get it, if the garbage collection couldn’t come.
The ski in ski out was misleading.
For the amount of $, should have been nicer,
or the owner should have been a lot more honest about the condition of the house.
- two very flat, old pillows in our room
- burn hole in our duvet cover
- no storage in our bedroom for clothes
- our shower handle was very sketchy. Basically broken. you had to play with it for 5 minutes to get it to turn on and off
- 2 towels for 2 bedrooms (4 ppl)
- toilet didn’t flush properly in the downstairs powder room
- couldn’t control the air temp in our room. There was a space heater and otherwise no heat
- all lamps broken / no lightbulb in our room so we had to turn overhead light on only
One last thing, the garage is peeling up and every time we all walked thru there to get inside, we dragged the gravel from the garage into the house.
I would also just say that the front stairs were so icy we couldn’t use them and that the firewood was covered in ice so we couldn’t use fireplace
Their ski in and ski out / hot tub photos were about as real as CNN news in the middle of a pandemic
Shelves in the refrigerator were so broken, they had notes on them.

The place was great minus one bedroom with 2 tiny goldy lox beds. One bedroom was really a couch so while we thought we were getting 5 bedrooms and 5 baths, it was really 3 real bedrooms, and a share bath. Downstairs toilet never worked right, no water in hot tub, steam room was filled with clutter (Assuming we were not suspossed to use that anyway). We were there as 5 executives on a retreat and was barely there except to sleep. We tried to cancel and book another place soon after we realized there were twin beds etc, but owner was not flexible in working with us and suggested we cancel, but would have lost 50% of deposit. All in all, place was nice. Would be nice to have a digital key pad entry, and use of hot tub. Also, villiage grocery store was closing, so be sure to buy food in jackson or get raked at gas station. On positive side, nice space, furniture and mountain cabin feel. Lots of steps and step downs so not for the older crowd. We were there in Oct so weather was cold, but did not have ski weather- Nice place for 2-3 couples with kids, but would not reccomend 5 adults.

The house and it’s location we’re perfect for my outdoorsy group of hikers and fly fishermen. The kitchen is a nice size for preparing meals and the backyard is great for grilling/bon fire. We saw a lot of wildlife right out the back door, such as a fox, several birds and we think it was a wolverine. Quick 20-30 min trip to the town of Jackson and Teton National Park. Wyoming is heaven, thank you for letting us enjoy a few days of it!

Enjoyed our stay in Tetons. Did not spend much time at house as we were constantly on the go. House has lots of sculpture and artwork throughout. Enjoyed exploring it all! The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook (as we do). Would absolutely stay here again. Go Whalers (our son works in Stratford)!!!

We had our best family vacation to date in this wonderful house. There were so many things to love about it:
-The layout, although quirky, suited us perfectly. Our three granddaughters especially loved having their own “wing” of the house.
-The setting was incredible. Moose and deer in the backyard, a red fox in the front yard, all the privacy in the world, lots of outdoor space to gather or be alone.
-The artwork was so interesting! The collection of bronzes was amazing and reflective of the family’s story. Plus…drawings, paintings, prints, carvings. Wow.
-The feel was comfortable and well loved. We could relax easily. The coffee table was perfect for our traditional vacation jigsaw puzzle.
-The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, pots, utensils, and coffee filters.
-The beds were comfortable.
-We enjoyed playing ping pong!
-All nine of us fit at the dining room table!
-The location was perfect. We were glad to stay in Teton Village rather than Jackson. All the restaurants we needed but quieter than Jackson, and yet still easy to access all the activities we did.
-We appreciated the welcome email with all the suggestions for activities and restaurants. So helpful. We went whitewater rafting, horseback riding and zip lining at Snow King. Fun!
-A Steinway piano! My husband loved playing it, such great sound.
-The housekeeper does a good job of cleaning.
We were so very sad that the hot tub was not working. Apparently it needs a part that is no longer made and will need to be replaced. Our loss. As my son-in-law said, "It would have been a game-changer after our horseback ride!"

Our family planned a summer trip to see more of the area and explore Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. Our group consisted of 7 adults, 3 kids (age 11, 11, 7), and one dog. The home was located in a great location but was hot and messy. We felt it was overpriced for a summer trip. Would not recommend at the current price for summer, but possibly for winter since ski in and ski out.
5.0 / 10.0
There were 7 adults and a 10 month old on this trip. We had plenty of room for all of us. The house is near Teton Village. Jackson Hole was experiencing very hot temps the days we were there. The favorite part of our trip was the Mom and Baby Moose that visited us on the front porch.
1.0 / 10.0
We walked in the property which was no clean, within 5 minutes we encounter a snake inside house and another on under a rolled up carpet. My family and kids were terrified. Next few hours trying to figure out what do made this vacation a nightmare and very stressful.
We left property and booked hotel.
I hope VRBO does better job to certify owners and property, would not want any other family to go through this on their vacation.

It was a great setup with lots of space for our group. The internet extenders need to be replaced/updated so multiple devices can work through the house. Cell phone service is weak so this would be a good add. Other than that, the house was wonderful and everyone enjoyed it!

Great house located in perfect location for skiing. Very accommodating for pets and well maintained! We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day!

We had a wonderful stay, the property has great high ceilings and lots of light. Ski in / ski out was fabulous. The driveway is pretty steep so make sure you have a 4-wheel drive car if you’re coming when there’s a lot of snow. The host was very responsive and helpful. We all want to come back next year!
5.0 / 10.0
Fantastic home for a large group! Definitely ski-in, but ski out might be a bit of a stretch. There’s a little walk (~2 min) to get up to the slope. Would love to re-visit.

Terrific layout for three generation family. Quiet spaces for relaxing, large hot tub with TV for post ski warm up, ping pong and basketball shooting set up that keeps all ages engaged, wonderful fireplace and endless supply of dry wood, fully equipped kitchen, high comfort mattresses. Nice outdoor decks with electric heaters for morning coffee in sub zero weather. Our family ranked this the top choice of the past five ski rentals throughout the west. .

Great place to stay, I saw a bear on our patio one morning while having coffee. We also saw a fox and elk in the back area. House is huge, has a ton of character, natural light. We used the fireplace and hot tub everyday. Overall very nice place to stay in Teton, would recommend.

Our family debated between staying in Jackson and renting this family home in Teton Village. We are so happy we chose this home.It is perfectly located within walking distance to all that Teton Village Square has to offer. (Although the walk back home is uphill, so be prepared). The home itself is a well-loved family home. Grand, yet cozy. Perfect for us.The highlight was seeing wildlife right outside the door.....a red fox, deer, and moose!

Exactly as billed, this was a wonderful ski vacation home. We had 9 people - aged 4-70. Confortable, convenient. Ski in and ski out with just ~50 yds walking on your skis to get to the Tram/Gondola. Spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Owner/mgr was accessible, kind, and easy to deal with. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
