About this cottage rental
Cobblers Cottage is located in the centre of Debenham, a beautiful traditional Suffolk village full of charming timber framed houses, many dating back over 500 years. The village boasts a lovely medieval church with exceptional 8 bells and is large enough to provide all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. As well as a supermarket, independent butcher, gorgeous bakery with cafe, greengrocers, newsagent and florist, there are other shops ready to serve you including a designer gift shop and hairdressers. A doctor, dentist and vet are also on hand. All of these are within walking distance of the cottage. There are two pubs, one conveniently located next door and other cafes serving breakfast and light meals. You could spend your entire holiday without going out of the village but of course you will want to visit the surrounding fabulous Suffolk countryside with its chocolate box villages. Constable country is just 45 minutes away, as are the picturesque seaside resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh, along with the world famous concert hall Snape Maltings. Felixstowe Ferry offers old world charm with it's pretty beach huts, one of which is available to our visitors on request. Nearby Framlingham has a fascinating, English Heritage castle and of course its connection to famous Ed Sheeran! For serious shopping, Ipswich and Norwich are both nearby.

We loving staying at tis cottage. It is right in the middle of the village and walking distance to everything. Don't need a car.
Everything about this cottage is charming. It is our home away from home.
We love the evenings sitting in the tv room and watching our favorite British shows that we cannot get in the states.
This is always our first choice of a place to stay when we visit the village.

Jacqueline is a perfect host. She will make you feel at home. The cosy cottage is very clean and perfect for 5 adults. The garden very nice. Beautiful small village, perfect location for a day out.

We (family, 2 kids (8 and 13y) stayed nearly 3 weeks in this little cottage and enjoyed the well equipped space and the lovely village with its very friendly locals.
Great place to start exploring the coast and the whole region. The perfect summer weather during the whole stay was the cherry on top.

we had a lovely few days in Cobblers Cottage - it was very cosy but had all amenities. Debenham is a lovely village and the surrounding area is very attractive to explore. We would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the rat race.

Quaint Cottage
A lovely quaint cottage in a nice village . Difficulty parking on the road opposite . Right next to a pub , but this didn’t intrude too much ,

Lovely cottage in a beautiful little village
Overall Our stay was fantastic and Debenham is a lovely quiet village and the locals are very friendly. A good base to be able to explore surrounding Suffolk. The host was easy to communicate with and answered messages very promptly. The pub next door was an added bonus and everyone was so friendly… the church bells were a pleasure to hear of a morning and through out the day. Some of my party wernt to pleased to hear them over night 😬 but from the front bedrooms they cant be heard. Cottage is cosy with plenty of space. Our holiday was thoroughly enjoyed
Thank you

Lovely oasis for a staycation
Wonderful house, suited our family of 4 (2 + 2 grown up children) perfectly. Lots of different downstairs space to relax in and a very well appointed kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and it was lovely to find somewhere with 3 bedrooms. Plentiful hot water too.
Outside was a lovely little courtyard to listen to the church bells and the chatter from the pub next door. The pub itself was welcoming and charming, opening hours are varied but not later than 10pm, so nights were quiet! The rest of the village is perfect - the Co-op well stocked and the cafe made very popular bacon baps and coffee!
Framlingham, Aldeburgh and Southwold were all great day trips and walking around the local villages was easy and picturesque.
This was our first visit to Suffolk, and we all very much enjoyed it - thank you Jackie for sharing your house with us!

Well placed cottage right in the middle of pretty village next to a pub and a local church with a local butcher, coffee shops, bakery and gift shops and more all within a few minutes walk. Cottage was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. With the sun shining we were able to enjoy our meals in the small but pretty back yard and when cool evening enjoy a log fire inside. The chatter from the pub and the church bell chiming added to the charm of staying in the centre of the village. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

Great cottage, perfectly located
We had a wonderful stay in Debenham, location wise it has all that you need on your doorstep and great access to the coast. The cottage itself was clean, cosy and well equipped.

Great place, lovely village, easy to drive to other places
The house had everything we needed, but we didn't realise how tight it was for 5 adults to schedule comfort/bathroom slots :) !!! We also couldn't work out how long before the hot water for showers would run out, but we organised alternating rotas and managed fine :)
Not having working wifi was tricky, and 2 of us needed to buy data to keep in communication with work and Air Cadets.
The house was situated in a lovely village with a really nice sprinkling of shops. The Woolpack pub, which is literally next door was very friendly, and we enjoyed having a relaxed drink in there at the start of our break.
The den had a nice TV, and was a cosy room to rest in. There were lots of games, books and leaflets.
We went out to different locations every day, and driving in this part of the country is pretty and refreshing.
We enjoyed a little walk to the lakes which are at the end of the village - a pretty spot to relax or fish.

Great stay in lovely village
We had a great week in Suffolk, the cottage was conveniently located in the heart of the village. Parking right across the road was an asset. The cottage was furnished well with everything you need for a week away. The beds were particularly comfortable and the owner was fast and efficient at replying almost immediately with requests and questions. Definitely recommend this property.

Review of Cobblers Cottage
The property is in a good location. Facilities in the village are excellent, Co-op, newsagent, butchers, bakers, cafe.
The cottage was cosy and comfortable. Some of the chair covers were dirty and need replacing or cleaning. The bed mattress was softer than we are used to.

Weekend away with family
We had a fabulous weekend in this delightful cottage. It had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Set in beautiful Debenham with a pub right next door. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage in a lovely village.
We loved staying here, lovely rooms, log burner, well equipped kitchen, friendly owner. Cute little courtyard garden too, we even had a bbq. Debenham also has all you need for a relaxing stay in Suffolk.

Excellent cottage in a beautiful village
We enjoyed four nights in this very nice cottage in a beautiful village. Inside, the cottage is modern, fresh and very clean. Easy parking just a few yards down the road in a small free car park just in front of a small cafe. There is parking just across the road from the cottage but we preferred the car park.

Ideal base for exploring Mid Suffolk.
Property was clean & comfortable with plenty of space to relax. An initial problem with the heating was swiftly resolved by Jeanette ( a cheerful & bubbly personality) & her very able husband. Found Debenham to be a pleasant & friendly town with all the usual amenities. Road noise to be expected as the property is on the high street. Overall, a most enjoyable stay.

Enjoyable stay
I stayed at Cobblers Cottage, Debenham for 4 nights with 4 friends. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much but having only 1 bathroom with toilet between 5 took a little getting used to. Traffic seems to travel up the street right through the night but we actually got used to that too. It may not bother some people at all. Overall it was a lovely break and Debenham is a lovely vllage.

Great spot lovely house and a fantastic owner
Thanks so much. Jeanette went out of her way to help me - whole experience was fab

Cosy second home
It was a lovely week we spent in the premises of Jeanette. The house was clean, comfy and we all loved it. We think it will not be our last vacation in Debenham. The only thing which is missing is the direct entry to the pub next door ;-)

Wonderful cottage in the middle of a great village. It has everything we could ever want.
Our house was roomy and had all of the features one expects, ie microwave, clothes washer, and even a bar-b-que. The owner was sensational and stayed in contact with us to expedite any issues. We thoroughly enjoyed Debenham with it's two pubs, a butcher shop, bakery, news agent, cafes, and other shops! There are great walks, a lake, and a beautiful medieval church with wonderful bells. The Woolpack pub nextdoor serves great meals if don't feel like cooking! The River Green Cafe does a super breakfast if you don't want to cook breakfast. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience.

A lovely house in a lovely village
We really enjoyed our stay at Jeanette’s beautiful cottage: it was very well equipped, had extremely comfortable beds and was in the friendliest and most picturesque village. The Suffolk coast is easily accessible and of course you are in the middle of the greenest, most peaceful countryside, with beautiful, functioning villages all dotted around. Would really recommend tho lovely spot.

We were the first visitors to this lovely cottage and so needed regular contact with the owner. She was brilliant; friendly, responsive and helpful.
The cottage is cute and the village has everything in it- we didn’t need the car at all.
If you are looking for somewhere with character, this is the place. We lit the log burner and were really cosy and snug. The kitchen is well equipped and well organised, the beds comfy. There was more storage around the house than we could possibly have needed and the dining table only really worked for 4 people but aside from that, a lovely place.
