About this chalet rental
Heritage House is a wonderfully bright, luxurious and comfortable lakefront Mountain Chalet, perfectly located at Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.
This executive residence was designed to accommodate skiers, golfers , families and holiday lovers in total comfort and large private spaces. It is located in the peaceful forest of the 'Villa des Bois' development at Lac Dufour / Lac Forget, only a short 5 minute drive from the quaint shops and restaurants of St-Jovite (Mont-Tremblant Centre-Ville), several golf courses, and the combined skiing capital of Mont-Tremblant and Mont Blanc. Close to the action ... yet in a world of its own.
The Chalet is rented, managed directly by its owners, thus assuring quality and reasonable prices.
It is nestled high in the secluded hills of 'Villa des Bois', on 1.6 acres of private forest. The home is 2,400 square feet of modern, open spaces, cathedral ceilings, and 'walls of glass' where you may bask in sunshine (or in moonlight), all year round, while taking in the stunning view and the mature trees all around.
It has 4+1 very large bedrooms, 3 full washrooms (1 ensuite), 6 outside decks and a huge screened veranda. It is fully equipped to receive 8 adults very comfortably. (Maximum number of authorized occupants is 8.)
The main entrance, warm and inviting, leads to the stunning living room with its huge cascading windows, warm Napoleon fireplace, antique furniture, original art, cozy leather couches, huge library and wing back chair. The Great room has to be experienced first hand!
The dining room is large and the table expands to easily accommodate an entire group of guests. It gives onto a large deck and the screened veranda, where you may BBQ to your heart's content all year round, amidst the nature! The kitchen is bright and fully equipped, Lagustina pots, pans and all the appliances you would expect. We provide the kitchen staples so you do not have to run to town for all the trimmings: spices, sugar, flour, Soya sauce, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, etc,... not to mention the kitchen sink!
There are 2 large bedrooms on the main floor, one with a queen bed, the other with a king, plus 2 full bathrooms (bath & shower - one ensuite). All bedrooms have down duvets and pillows; all linens are provided.
Up to the cozy loft, and admire the magnificent view of the lake from the 2 twin beds.
The oversized family room is on the lower level, with its 9 foot ceiling, relaxing furniture, digital cable reception with large screen TV, DVR, BR player, printer, spare mini-fridge and yet another fireplace. The patio door walk-out leads to a colorful wild flower garden, more decks and the romantic pathway to the lake, through the woods. The fourth bedroom, also on the lower level, occupies an entire wing of the house and is practically an apartment on its own, along with the third full washroom and adjacent laundry facilities. It also has a spare (third) single bed, to accommodate singles. Finally, we added a double murphy bed, set-up as a 5th bedroom to accommodate groups of "singles". It is available ON DEMAND only, for a small fee - Please note that the general limit of 8 guests still applies.
Can't leave the office behind? Relax! We have Wi-Fi high speed internet throughout the property and landline voIP telephone service.
THE BEACH: (AKA as 'The rock')
Enjoy, your own private bedrock beach, flowing into the pristine waters of Lac Forget, or read your favorite book a few steps back, under the shade of a 160 year old jack pine. The key words here are: 'PRIVACY' and 'SOLITUDE'. From the beach head which is a slate of bedrock advancing into the lake, everything around is natural forest: the neighbours are nowhere to be seen. We also have a large floating raft, 20 feet into the lake and 2 docks. Motor boats are not permitted on the lake. It just doesn't get better...
Villa des Bois is a small, controlled development in an exquisite, natural, mountain setting. We are approximately an hour and a half drive north of Montreal (Quebec) and 30 minutes from La Makaza local airport.
Shopping is pure fun in the village of St-Jovite or in the original village of Mont Tremblant. Music festivals and sports events are frequently held at the mountain or the surrounding Mont-Tremblant area. Among them the Tremblant 24 heures charity ski marathon, the 'Blues Fest' in July, the St-Jean Baptiste and Canada Day festivities, the car races and World Series kart championship at Le Circuit race track and, the Ironman events in June and August, have all become wide reaching attractions.
Of course, winter time include world class downhill skiing and snowboarding at the local ski resorts (Tremblant and Mont-Blanc) located in the immediate area, all within a twelve minute drive from the chalet.
A few steps from our door and you can be snowshoeing in the woods or skating and cross-country skiing around our lake and local trails.
In the summertime our area transforms into a recreational paradise for golfers (8 golf courses within 20 minutes drive! ), horseback riding, bicycling, mountain climbing, hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting, and of course, swimming or,... just sitting around listening to the loons and enjoying the clean alpine environment and serenity.
You may especially not want to miss our Canadian maples turn into a folly of colors in the fall, or taste its sweet syrup at the sugar shacks in spring.

My husband and 4 adult children stayed at this lovely cottage for 2 weeks. Jacques was an amazing host. He was very responsive and provided a tone of information. The cottage was spacious, clean and included everything needed. The lake is beyond gorgeous. We spent most of our days on the dock.

The chalet offered everything we needed - comfortable accommodations, space to spread out, equipped kitchen, lovely lake for swimming and kayaking! It was truly a great find!

Very easy, clear booking process and communication leading up to the stay. The house was even better than described in VRBO listing. It's roomy and really well organized. We slept two families of four with all our ski gear comfortably. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and wanted for nothing during our stay.
A quick ride to Tremblant made skiing easy. The lake was lovely as were the grounds and neighborhood. Can't say enough good about the overall experience at Heritage House!

Beautiful property, we were a group of 7 and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

This beautiful property had it all! Space for our older children to spread out, as well as us adults; multiple balconies and patios to relax on, either in or out of the sun. A kitchen with everything you need from making coffee to making desserts. The lake was beautiful, equipped with dock chairs, boats, and safety equipment. This just lists a few of what makes this rental house amazing. Oh, and the town has every amenity, and the scenery is incredible.

Heritage House is a comfortable and lovely home. Having direct access to the small peaceful lake really made the trip. The path to the lake is down well maintained stairs and a boardwalk. There are two docks next to a rocky outcrop on the lake. There are two bedrooms (king and queen) on the main floor with two full baths. One large bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and one twin was perfect for my daughter and their toddler. Full bath downstairs. There are living spaces on each level. The screened in porch was a bonus! The kitchen is well equipped. We did not utilize the loft twin bedroom. It overlooks the main living area. The property is in within 15 minutes of grocery stores and recreational areas. This is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
Our hosts were very responsive, and we appreciated the supply of paper products and kitchen basics. Heritage House is definitely a place we would want to return to for a quiet time in the country!

The experience with Jacques and the property far exceeded our expectations.
The house is very clean and well maintained. Everything our family needed was provided, and there were clear instructions for the heating / cooling and entertainment systems.
The location is great for families - the house is spacious with plenty of areas for groups to spend time together both inside and out. The smaller private decks are also a welcome amenity when you're looking for solitude.
The lake is crystal clear and the kids had a great time swimming and boating.
Outside the property, the area is beautiful and packed with interesting things to do. The local food and entertainment was top notch, and there are plenty of activities within a reasonable one hour drive from the house.

For the past two years, our family and friends have rented a cottage for the May long weekend. From check in to check out, everything exceeded our expectations. With four kids, we appreciated the space. They took over the basement and the adults were able to relax upstairs. All in all we had a fabulous weekend.

We booked the Heritage House for a weekend getaway and it was perfect. Large space for groups (you definitely don't feel crowded), close to town and Mont Tremblant, and the property is just beautiful.
Our group had a lovely weekend and can't wait to go back.

The property is located on a hill and has direct access to one of the lakes in the area. Driving up the hill we passed by another lake. Walking around the neighbourhood was very pleasant and serene. We commuted daily to the ski slopes in about 10-15min and in an even shorter time to town.
We enjoyed our stay very much, the cottage has two living rooms that provide generous space for two families with children. The bedrooms and the bathrooms were very comfortable. The fireplace, kitchen and bbq area were very handy and useful too.
We felt welcomed to this place!

I was looking for a clean and comfortable cottage with water access to host my wife, two adult children and their partners. Chalet Héritage was a home run for us.
3 couples were easily accommodated. We could not have been happier upon our arrival. The place is stunning. I will say this place is everything I hoped it would be when I viewed the photos of the property.
There is plenty of room, and it has a wonderful deck with a screened in dining room which we really enjoyed. There is a bit of a short slopped walk to the waterfront, where we found a nice modern dock, kayak, canoe etc… the lake is beautiful and we were serenaded by the loons. This is a beautiful property that is well kept and a stunning area. Merci beaucoup Chalet Héritage, ce fut un grand plaisir de passer chez vous!

Great stay here up in Tremblant. The Heritage house had everything and more.
Amenities were great
Location awesome.
Weather was awesome and staying at nice place as this made it an incredible experience.
And if your worried about cardio.fear not as the incline from lake to cottage was approx 100 feet up so I took advantage of that.

We came up for a long Easter weekend and all five of us enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking large meals and the living room is very comfy, so are the beds. The place was very clean upon our arrival. Definitely recommend.

Family getaway
Beautiful location surrounded by trees overlooking the lake. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs bedroom is above the living room and has no door so light sleepers may find this a challenge. There were several other bedrooms though.

My family had a wonderful winter visit at Heritage House. It is a short drive to Mount-Tremblant ski hill. We enjoyed skiing and coming home in the evening to relax by the cozy fireplace. Great spot for big families!

What a lovely place
There is everything you need for a restful stay. The fireplace worked very well and it even had a beautiful Christmas tree and decorations outside. We were delighted from the moment we arrived until we left. The rooms are well set up so everyone has their personnel space. What a nice place.

Autumn leaves
This is a great place to stay if you enjoy being close to water. Everything we needed was there. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner in the summer kitchen even though it was a little cooler outside . The kids loved it and we totally enjoyed ourselves.

Lovely chalet with beautiful lake surroundings
A well maintained chalet with most of the kitchen stuff we need. We love the new dock and the handy row boat. The only slight problem we have is the bright sun shining directly to the people sitting at the dinning table in the morning. Would be nice if there are blinds to block it :-)

Two of us stayed for 4 nights, and the hardest part was leaving. Although the chalet is large, it felt cozy for 2 since we could live on the main floor. Big king bed very comfortable. So peaceful and quiet. Communication with host very good.We cross country skied or snow-shoed each day - so many groomed trails around - Domaine St Bernard, the village trail from the resort, the Petit Train du Nord all within about 15 min. The scenery! We slept in, or had a big breakfast, after our outings came home to that glorious wood burning fireplace, played music from our phone with earphone cord provided to the stereo. Great location for exploring the area. Good to have traction descending the hills to the highway in winter.

Wonderful stay
The place exceeded our expectations - we had booked for 8 people, plenty of room. Quiet street, yet close to everything. Owner quickly responds. We enjoyed the fireplace, the volleyball setup, and the canoe. We wished we could have stayed longer - we will definitely be back.

Weekend Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was in impeccable shape, and Jacques was very helpful. We were somewhat disappointed that we couldn’t see the lake from the house - there must be some restrictions about pruning trees- but we had a great time sitting on the dock and getting out in the canoe.

Our family enjoyed the quietness of the location and the magnificent lake. The cottage has a lot of charm and character. It is nice to be able to make a camp fire with the children.

Great house in peaceful neighborhood
We stayed 3 nights in February. The house is very nice, comfortable, and warm ( has 2 fireplaces) and in a very peaceful setting. The house has everything you need and is very clean, well maintained, and has great beds and linens. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The owners communicated every detail in advance for an easy arrival. If you come in winter you'll want a car with good traction or 4 x or AWD since it is up a steep hill. We hope to return soon in summer or winter.

Lovely and cozy chalet
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with three other couples. The house was perfect - cozy and comfortable in beautiful surroundings. Jacques was very responsive to all questions.
The only small issue was that one of the bedrooms (the one with two twin sized beds) is in a loft, open to the rooms below, which are the kitchen/dining area/living area, which we hadn't realized prior to arriving. It wasn't a big problem, but that space wasn't great for light sleepers.
Everything else was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful
My husband and I stayed in this beautiful property along with a group of friends from January 23-26. The property is as listed and exceeded our expectations. Nestled on a mountain, in the forest, it was peaceful and very spacious. We will certainly be back!
