About this house rental

This Eagle River, Wisconsin vacation rental home is located on Yellow Birch Lake, part of the world's largest inland chain of 28 lakes in Eagle River Wisconsin. Yellow Birch Lodge sits on a secluded two acre wooded site on a semi-private bay.

The seven bedroom, four bathroom executive home has a large sleeping loft for kids and offers the ideal Northwoods setting. All three stories overlook the lake and the surrounding forest. Some amenities include a large stone wood burning fireplace, a covered boat dock, multiple living spaces and a fire pit area to share all the day's adventures while roasting marshmallows. During your stay there are multiple water toys provided for you to enjoy such as three double kayaks, two single kayaks, two Great Lakes paddle boards, a rowboat, a canoe, paddle boat and an Otter Island swim raft. We have a large Weber gas grill and for you Grill Masters, we have added a Santa Maria Grill (see the grill in the photo section) to allow our guests to also enjoy charcoal or wood-fired cooking. A very large grill that can accommodate large groups.

You are literally within walking distance of Eagle River's celebrated 18 hole championship golf course (we highly recommend their Bloody Marys BTW) and a couple minutes by car from downtown Eagle River with its excellent shopping and dining options. Yellow Birch Lodge is just off the snowmobile trail system which offers some of the best groomed trails you will find anywhere.

What a beautiful place! The owner has thought of everything to make your vacation enjoyable and relaxing! Adults and kids alike loved staying here and can't wait to do it again!

We had a large family group with 5-10 yr. olds, middle aged parents and the senior generation. This property was great for all of us. Loved the lake views from the porch and the house itself is beautiful. Lots of common spaces for us to get together and talk, plenty of space for us to spread out and eat, lots of indoor and outdoor space for the kids to paly. We used all the watercraft, it was fantastic to get to paddle and swim everyday and the kids got a kick out of stand up paddleboarding. Bonus - the dock and swimming area is in a small, protected bay so we not bothered by boats zooming by and it felt really safe for the kiddos. Highly recommended and I would 100% stay again. Caveats for some: the loft space is open to a common area so it can be a bit loud for anyone who turns in early or sleeps late. For those with mobility issues, there are many stairs down to the lake.

Met all of our family needs. Loft was a great place for the kids to play. Screened in porch was awesome and the most used room. Paddle boards and paddle boat were used the most. Good covered boat dock with close electrical for charging our batteries. Swim platform was also used a lot. Located on the Eagle Chain allowed plenty of fishing spots and beautiful boat rides. Plenty of firewood and a nice fire pit got used every night. The Bunn coffee pot was excellent, fast, and used every morning. All in all, this was a great place for our family to spend 2024's The Big Trip III.

This was by far the best property I've stayed at for a larger group of people. The cabin was extremely clean and provided the perfect layout of rooms/beds to accommodate all! Screened in porch was a huge benefit, no bugs! My group was a lot of fisherman so the large dock was perfect for multiple boats, jetskis, and even a pontoon. Also loved there's power by the dock to charge your boat! Will definitely stay again!

Yellow Birch Lodge is comfy and spacious with all the amenities. Feels remote but just minutes from downtown Eagle River. We spent NYE there with friends and family and had a blast playing board games by the fire. Best in class communication with host.

I stayed here with 15 adult family members who have been coming to the North Woods for years. The YBL was the ideal place for us. The cabin was pristine, and it was perfect for a large group such as ours. It has enough real beds for us to use, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so no one felt cramped, and yet plenty of common space inside and out so that people could get together. The setting was magnificent, from the dock to the fire pit to the wonderful screened in porch. It's a great spot on the local chain, but its close proximity to town is also very convenient. The property owner was immediately responsive to our every question and need. I would highly recommend the Yellow Birch Lodge to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future.

This is one of the best place I’ve stayed so far. Spacious for a big group. The view of the wooded area was gorgeous, and it’s only a few minutes away from town! Mark was very quick to respond to any questions I had. Also the loft was a unique touch. I would totally go back if ever visit up north Wisconsin. Again amazing host and beautiful place overall. Thank you Mark again for hosting.

All in all it was amazing, perfect setting, on the lake, good Christmas, vacuum sweeper was plugged and carpet looked accordingly. Parking space was amazing, thermostats were impossible, just a few little things. But overall, it was great

Yellow Birch Lodge was a great place to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. Lodge was comfortable and had ample space (up to 8 different sleeping areas for guests, many with 2 double beds in each room). Kitchen supplies were adequate for our holiday meal preparations (appreciated the table cloths on hand to add a holiday touch to our dinner). Property was impressive - would be a fun place in the summer with waterfront and kayaks/paddle boat to enjoy. Outdoor firepit (well stocked with firewood) and indoor wood burning fire place added warmth to our holiday/November stay.

A very enjoyable property. Easy access to The chain of lakes and pontoon rentals. We enjoyed boating and sitting by the fire. Communication was tremendous. The house was very clean and the screened in porch very enjoyable.

The cabin was beautiful, kitchen well stocked. Plenty of towels and there were 24 of us. Loved the outside fire pit. , the enclosed deck. Loved the use of the paddle boat, paddle boards, raft and kayaks. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions in a very timely manner. The only negative thing was besides the master bedroom all the rest of the beds were very hard and somewhat uncomfortable.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Birch Lodge. The accommodations were plentiful enough that all parties of our family had their own private spaces. The loft was a big hit with our (2) teenage grand kids. The screened in porch was ideal for early morning coffee watching the sun come up from across the lake. The family room down stairs became the kid retreat for video games and such, while the main living space was for card and board games. The kitchen was well equipped and the second refrigerator was a blessing. We were fortunate to have almost perfect weather for our stay except for a half a day with rain, which we enjoyed on the screened in porch and family room. Best of all was the lake, dock and boats available to us. We spent most of our days on and in the lake and traveled among all the various lakes in the chain. Overall, the feedback I got from my own family members was that this was their favorite family location vacation we have done as a large family.

Absolutely in love with this home and its location. You can catch the beautiful sunrise and sunset towards the lake. The kids really love and enjoyed the water toys, playground, and fire pits. Super clean and easy to communicate with the owner. I highly recommend this place!
