Experience for yourself all the activities of a world class resort built around the best old-west ski town. Come visit Breckenridge, still lined with quaint Victorian homes and buildings, where yesterday’s gold boom is now replaced by wonderful restaurants, lots of shopping, all sorts of nightlife, and ski trails that run into the heart of town. So come play in Colorado’s renowned powder snow or get away to some beautiful alpine summer days.
Crystal Peak Lodge, completed in 2008, represents Breck’s finest Ski-In/Ski-Out residences and it's ON the ski slopes at the base of Peak 7. This spectacular forested setting is a gateway to the tranquility of Peak 7, the hubbub of Peak 8, and the perfect mountain town below.
More specifically, Crystal Peak Lodge is nestled between the Independence SuperChair lift on one side (about 30 yards) and the BreckConnect gondola on the other side (less than 30 yards). Although above the town, the lodge is self-sufficient with an in-house ski/board rental shop, lift ticket office, day spa, fine dining at Sevens restaurant, and private ski lockers. To access the mountain, simply step out the backdoor to board Peak 7’s Independence SuperChair or jump on the gondola for a very short ride to Peak 8, with its variety of restaurants, the ski schools and the Rocky Mountain and Colorado SuperChair lifts. In the other direction, the gondola whisks you to historic Main Street in Breckenridge. From Crystal Peak Lodge you’re also on cross country ski and snowshoe trails (summer hike and mountain bike trails) that lead through Cucumber Gulch and other more remote areas of White River National Forest. Look out for the resident moose!
As you walk into Crystal Peak Lodge, heavy timbers, stone, wrought iron and lots of glass set the tone for this Five Star mountain retreat. Initially you’ll be struck by the grand staircase in the entry leading to a cathedral-like gathering room filled with cozy sofas and tables and overlooking the ski slopes through a wall of glass. Separated from this lounge by a massive fireplace is a game room with billiards and TVs. Next door is the state-of-the-art fitness facility with its stationary bikes, treadmills, a steam room and other fitness equipment all overlooking, through more picture windows, the huge heated outdoor patio with two large hot tubs and a fire pit on the ski slopes! For your convenience, the lodge also provides wireless high-speed internet and a 24 hour front desk.
Our particular unit is an elegant residence with a similar rugged, yet refined personality. It features heavy alder doors and trim work; multiple slab granite countertops and stone flooring in the entry, kitchen and baths; rustic cherry cabinetry; distressed wood and bent wrought iron furnishings; and a moss rock fireplace for your cozy evenings. You’ll love the gorgeous views from the balcony overlooking the town of Breckenridge, the Blue River valley and the Continental Divide. Also for your convenience, our condo includes an in-suite washer-dryer set; two huge bathroom suites; and over 1250 square feet of spacious living area with separate thermostats for each room. If you cook, or just like to entertain, you’ll love the fully equipped gourmet kitchen with its open design and the latest stainless steel appliances.
The master bedroom boasts a pillow-top king-size bed while the guest bedroom is furnished with a pillow-top queen bed. For your comfort, both bedrooms provide a humidifier, a fan, a goose-down comforter and goose-down pillows (as well as man-made pillows and extra blankets). Both bedrooms are also equipped with a flat screen TV with DVD and satellite. The sofa-sleeper in the living area makes an exceptionally comfy second queen bed. The living area is completed with an entertainment center with a DVD player, satellite and CD stereo, and a large flat screen TV mounted above the moss rock fireplace hearth.
Although the location of this condo makes it easy to just leave your vehicle parked for days (if you even bring one), the free and private underground parking also makes it easy to use your vehicle. For added convenience, if you choose not to drive or take the gondola, a free and private shuttle picks up at the front door to take you around town. For further excursions, the Summit Stage, a free county wide bus system, has a hub adjacent to the lower gondola terminal near Main Street.
As our guests of Crystal Peak Lodge, the facilities of our sister lodges are also free for your use. At One Ski Hill Place, just 500 yards by gondola or walking, enjoy the indoor pool complex with a dry sauna, the theater rooms or the mine shaft bowling alley; or for a more outdoor experience, Mountain Thunder Lodge, at the bottom of the gondola, offers a year ‘round heated OUTDOOR swimming pool with adjacent hottubs and a heated pool house for an easy change of clothes. Imagine the fun of a snowball fight in a warm swimming pool, or just letting the snowflakes land on your nose as you relax in a hottub!

For early season skiing, before late December, the Independence SuperChair behind our condo and the runs of Peak 7 and Peak 6 will likely not be open and are weather (snowfall) dependent. However, even with these Peaks closed, with its proximity to the gondola, Crystal Peak Lodge is still one of the most convenient accommodations in Breckenridge to runs that are guaranteed to be open on Peak 8. (Peak 8 has all sorts of terrain, including beginner runs, and a ski/board school.) Simply take a VERY short gondola ride from and to your back door for the Peak 8 runs and lifts, or walk a couple hundred yards.
Our cancellation policy is NOT the canned "no refund" policy, as VRBO indicates. Due to few options, our policy defaults to VRBO’s “no refund”, but is significantly more generous. Our actual cancellation policy for personal reasons is included here and in the online rental agreement on our VRBO page. Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date will be charged $300, or 50% of the total rental fees, whichever is less. Cancellations made from 60 days or less but more than 30 days will be charged 50% of the total rental fees. Cancellations at 30 days to 8 days will be charged 75% of the total rental fees. Cancellations within 7 days are nonrefundable and will be charged the full rental fees. Other reservation changes (i.e. moved dates or shortened stay) resulting in a loss of rent are considered cancellations to be prorated based on the percentage of rent lost in accordance with the above policies. If the owner, property management or law enforcement must evict the guest(s), for any reason, this is considered a last minute cancellation and all rental fees will be forfeited.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit at Crystal Peaks. We have stayed at CP several times, and I think this was our third time in this particular unit. The individual unit and the complex itself is beautiful in every way. The condo is nicely furnished and well-quipped with all you need. A basic amount of paper goods are supplied, and the kitchen had some basics like coffee, spices, and oils. We like the location in the summer for the beautiful views and used the gondola and/or free bus service many times for going back and forth to town. Although we are summer visitors, I can't imagine a more perfect location for skiers. Totally happy with our stay and highly recommend the property.

If you want to walk out the front door of the building the be at the ski lift - this place is for you. Heated locker room, heated garage and hot tub. It’s all right there. This is the most convenient location to accessing the mountain we’ve ever had. Allowed way more time for skiing and taking a quick break. Loved it.
Decor isn’t updated, but the place is clean and functional with everything you need. I appreciate that it’s more affordable probably because it hasn’t been updated. We would 100% stay here again! Loved it.

Awesome location and could not be happier with the accommodations! The owners - David and Diana - were extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. We would love to keep this location a secret to reduce competition when booking next year. However, this condo is too good to be true. Other skiing families will really appreciate this residence and its ease of access to the slopes.

We overall liked the layout of the condo and location. I would suggest that you get protective matress covers and protective pillow case covers, as well as pillow cases. Matress was quite stained when we stripped the bed at the end of the visit, and pillows were very limp and stained. Also, with regard to the cookware, some of the pans are badly scaped on the interior bottom. The dutch over-type pot is definitely flaking. I noticed this when cooking an alfredo sauce (white sauce), and it was evident that the laminate was appearing in the sauce in dark flakes.

We have stayed in Breckenridge on Peek nine, Peek eight, and now, Peek seven. This is by far the best place to stay! You walk out of the front of the condominium building into the right is the independence lift, and to the left is the gondola. we got to play some pool with the kids, hang out and meet some seriously great people in the circular, hot tub, or just relax in the room. I’m hoping maybe the owners put a picture or two of the ski locker room on their listing. One of the nicest and easiest accessible ski locker rooms I have ever seen. we will definitely be staying here again! Oh, great communication by the owners even when I had a couple of stupid and redundant questions. Thanks again, David!

We loved our stay! Very convenient for our ski trip. The location was perfect and we enjoyed having a locker to store our ski things. Apartment was a bit dated - but we had all the comforts that we needed. I didn’t like that we had to check in at a different resort as the front desk was closed. But overall it was an amazing experience.

Crystal Peak Lodge is a very nice property well situated for ski in / ski out on Peak 7. Locker room is literally 15 yards from ski lift. Check in was easy. David responded timely to some maintenance issues with his unit.

Fantastic condo with lots of space and a great view. The unit was very clean and exactly as listed. I appreciated the complete set of dishes and cookware which made breakfasts and dinners a snap. We love this location and easy access to the gondola into town and all the hiking / biking trails. We can’t wait to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay on Peak 7, with a good view and very easy access to downtown Breck and Peak 8 via gondola. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals, and the bedrooms functioned nicely as dual master suites.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this condo and will definitely stay here again next time we are in Breckenridge! VERY clean unit with everything we needed for our stay (towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dishes and pans for cooking). Loved being so close to the gondola to head down into town. Beautiful views were the cherry on top. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to stay again soon.

We have stayed for two weeks in June 2023. The house is very clean. The WiFi connection works. The property description is correct. The kitchen is fully functional. All appliances work. The house was well provided with towels and all kinds of conveniences. The location is excellent. The neighborhood is safe. The owner made significant efforts to transform our vacation into a wonderful experience. We hope to come back again.

We had a fantastic stay at Crystal Peak Lodge. The owners/managers are accessible and accomodative and the condo was clean and comfortably furnished. The amenities are great- our kids loved shooting pool and hitting the hot tub after skiing. This location is ideal for a variety of parties. The gondola provides quick access to peak 8 for ski school and Crystal Peak’s prodimity to the Independence Chair will also get you to peak 6 ahead of the crowd on powder days. We couldn’t be happier with this rental experience and we’d love to return.

Unit was clean and spacious. Instructions were clear. Location was unbeatable, lift right outside of the ski locker room door, stay was very comfortable. Would highly recommend this unit to a family of 4-5. Owners were accessible and responsive.

The location of this condo cannot be beat. Peak 7 is a hidden gem and being able to get on the lift right when they open is a treat. Not only that, the location of the condo in the building is convenient. Very quiet with easy access to an elevator and stairs. Never any issues finding a parking space below. Loved the hot tubs - plenty of space, never crowded. We even used the fitness facility one day - it was well equipped with great views of the mountain. The condo itself is spacious and comfortable. We were a family of 5 and used the pullout couch but no complaints there.
Humidifiers in each room, kitchen was well equipped for eating in several nights.
The hosts were responsive and helpful! We definitely hope to be back!

The condo was spacious and exactly as shown in the pictures. The location is perfect ---right to the gondola. We also enjoyed the proximity to the hot tubs and the outdoor seating area around the firepit. All the amenities you need!

The location is amazing! I can’t say enough about it Crystal Peak Lodge. Ski rentals on sight, superchair ski lift just steps outside, beautiful, large outdoors hot tub that you can sit in and watch skiers coming down the mountain, and Sevens Restaurant right next to you! Oh, and the gondola that takes you right into the heart of downtown Breckenridge is just steps away as well. Crystal Peak lodge has a shuttle service with an app to request a ride. The condo was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. The owners were extremely responsive, and quick to help with anything. Would most definitely stay here again!! Thank you!

The location can't be beat! We really enjoyed being on the second floor as it was easy access to everything and being at the end it was quiet. The condo is very well appointed, especially the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Kids said this was one of their best vacations ever. Huge win.

Had a great time for Mardi Gras 2023. This condo is a true ski in/out at the base of peak 7. Hot tubs, lifts and parking were very convenient. The condo was well equipped and was consistent with the pictures provided.

Very clean, spacious, and updated 2 br/2bath condo with a great kitchen, but the best part is how easy this place is to ski. Drive into heated garage, a few steps to the elevator, then a few steps to the front door. To ski, it's down one floor and a few steps to the easy ski locker room, literally 3 feet out the door to the ski rental location, then 5 yards to the lift. This was the easiest ski experience we've had in 25 years of skiing. The condo and building are beautiful and the hot tub great. No reason to stay anywhere else at Breck.

This property was perfect for our family. We loved the proximity to the lifts! It was adorable and super clean! We loved the free shuttle, and the hosts were amazing!!! Staying there again next time in Breck!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unit was clean and as described in the listing. Location was great. Shuttle came in handy so we didn’t have to drive down to Breck each day. Gondolas are closed from Labor Day until the start of ski season. We will definitely be back for another stay.

The condo is lovely, comfortable and large with a spectacular view from the balcony. We were there only two nights so we didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities available but hope to return and do so. Can we schedule a reappearance of the bull and cow elk we saw across the street?

It would be difficult to find a more responsive and gracious owner/manager. We have stayed in this property twice before, always with a sense of comfort and a relaxed, user-friendly ambiance. We have always come for the peak of aspen color season and, this year, the included Breckenridge Oktoberfest. The free shuttle bus service offered fast, easy transportation into town and back as often as we needed. The condo balcony looks over pines leading down to Breckenridge town. It is impeccably clean with all essentials present. We did reach out to the owner with a couple of questions upon arrival, received a prompt and helpful reply, and were gifted with a quick visit to brief us and resolve our questions. I cannot imagine a more responsive host. We will certainly look to another visit at this quality offering.
