Summary:
This renovated and beautifully decorated bungalow sits right near the heart of town in the walking district. Extensive cleaning and linen service after every single stay. A quick 2 minute walk to town and only a few more minutes to the beach, includes use of: boogie and surf boards, beach chairs and towels, sand toys, and beach umbrellas. The Space:
We love to travel, appreciate great quality, and have taken great care to fully outfit our vacation home with all the things we love! And we hope you do, too!
Sleeps up to five. One king-size bed, two twin beds, and a sofa which we can provide bedding upon check in for an additional $100 fee.
Beautifully renovated kitchen fully stocked with everything you’ll need to prepare gourmet meals, and designer furnishings throughout.
4K HD TVs in the living room and master bedroom, AT&T fiber high-speed 600MB upload and download speed internet and full YouTube TV (including Sports Plus, Entertainment and 4K Packages), Apple TVs with over 1,000 movies, Lenovo Bluetooth bedside clocks with speakers and USB charge ports, a master charging station for all components, and even a portable iHome Bluetooth speaker for you to enjoy outside or at the beach.
The bungalow includes: a fully enclosed private back yard complete with a sitting/sunning patio area with a gas fire-pit, an outdoor dining area along with a covered and enclosed laundry room with a stacked LG washer/dryer. A BBQ grill just off the kitchen is also included for usage during your stay. Additionally, a shared outdoor hot water shower for both people and pets is located between the front and back bungalows. A dedicated pet relief area is located just behind the fire pit area along side the house.
The shared sports shed includes: boogie boards, surfboards, beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, sand wagon and beach umbrellas are all for you to use during your stay. Split type air conditioning system is provided to keep you cool on those hot summer days. All laundry, bathroom, and kitchen amenities are included. Guests have the entire bungalow to themselves along with a private fenced in yard. Yale keyless door entry coded uniquely to each guest.
The Neighborhood:
Located just 30 minutes North of busy San Diego and is the south part of Encinitas, this laid back town promises a slower pace and some time to unwind. The beaches are endless and a quick walk gets you to the water. Cardiff by the Sea is nestled in the center of the best beach towns along the 101. Just South of the home is Solana Beach, Del Mar, and La Jolla while going North brings you to Encinitas, Leucadia, Carlsbad, and Oceanside. There's lots of shopping, attractions, and dining close by, or if you're not in the mood, there's plenty of space to get comfy!
Getting Around:
Parking is available in private rear driveway only. If you're looking to just hang around the Cardiff/Encinitas/Leucadia area during your stay, it's easy to get places by foot or on e-bikes which can be rented.

* $100 Pet fee for additional cleaning is required for all stays that include any kind of dog, see policy below

PET POLICY
We love dogs, and our policy is really pretty simple. If you are bringing a dog(s) we need them to be crated if left alone. If you don’t have a crate, we have ones you can use. We understand if your furry family members can’t stay off the sofa or bed; we do have special sofa blankets and/or beach towels to protect the furniture. We try our best to accommodate all our guests and can’t have dogs directly on the furniture as it’s unhygienic for others who might be more sensitive. We also incur extra cleaning fees to prepare for our next guests. Cleanliness and sanitation are very important standards to our overall business. For this, we do require an additional cleaning fee. Finally, we expect our guests to pick up any dog waste daily in the yards and rinse down the area where the waste was picked up.
CITY PERMIT DETAILS
City of Encinitas Permit RNTL-000206-2015 and RNTL-019918-2022. We expect our guests to keep noise down to a minimum as this house is located in a residential neighborhood and quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. We have a maximum overnight occupancy of 5 guests. Maximum of one parking space is available in the private driveway around back. Trash is picked up on Friday mornings and all trash and recycle goods should be placed in the containers by Thursday night as pickup is usually very early.

First things first—let in that coastal breeze!
By leaving windows and doors open for multiple hours, the fresh air starts flowing in while we get to work cleaning. In addition to our normal routine, we now disinfect all high-traffic surfaces too.
Each and every bed linen piece (even mattress pads, pillow protectors, duvet covers, and blankets!) will always be laundered between uses. Regardless of use, all bath linens (shower curtains and bathmats, too!) are laundered between visits to keep things extra fresh.

Folks have shared their sticker shock concerns when seeing our cleaning fee for the bungalow. We understand that our cleaning costs are high—hence why we’re breaking it all down for you here.
Our crews—from the family-team cleaning the living space to our partners tackling laundry—are all compensated with fair wages. We believe good, hard work deserves an honest living!
To get into the nitty gritty, we typically spend ~15 hours readying the space & laundering the linens (all 10 loads of ‘em) as detailed above.
Here’s the the thing: what you see (and pay for) is what you get. We want you to feel right at home each and every time you visit the bungalows, and a spotless space is essential to that experience.

REFUND POLICY
For stays less than 15 nights, a 100% refund for cancellations with more than 30 days notice given before the check-in date. A 50% refund will be given for cancellations between 30 days and 14 days before the check-in date. If cancelling with less than 14 days notice no refund will be given.
For stays of more than 15 nights and less than 32 nights in length, 60 days notice is required for a 100% refund. A 50% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 60 days and 30 days notice of check in date. If cancelling with less than 30 days notice no refund will be given.
For stays of more than 32 nights, 120 days notice is required for a 100% refund. A 75% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 120 days and 90 days notice of check in date. A 50% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 90 days and 60 days notice of check in date. A 25% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 60 days and 30 days notice of check in date. If cancelling with less than 30 days notice no refund will be given.
However, we understand events happen outside of our control. If you need to cancel inside the "no refund" window, we always refund all the cleaning fees and occupancy tax if it was collected. In addition, we will attempt to re-rent the property and will refund back to you at your nightly prorata rate all the nights that we are able to rent.

We like to have our customer service leader Stacey Peterson meet all guests upon check-in and give a tour of the property. Managing partner Keith Clarke lives a short drive away and is available via phone or text. The bungalow in back was great. It was stocked with everything you need. I SO appreciated that. The communication with the hosts was awesome. Any questions I had were answered immediately!

We enjoyed our stay at the bungalow. Stacey met us at check in and gave us a thorough walk thru of the place! You cannot ask for a better place to stay. Very clean, organized, and had everything that we needed. The outdoor space was so relaxing, great place to eat dinner and enjoy the evening by the firepit. The location is excellent, easy access to the interstate and to the scenic highway. There is a grocery market and several restaurants within walking distance. Keith is a great host, checking in with us to make sure everything was fine during the week. Don’t wait, reserve this place now!

My wife and 20-month-old daughter stayed at this wonderful bungalow and Keith made us feel at home right away. Within hours of being there my wife and I were already talking about coming back. Keith was extremely helpful and the property has everything you need. I mean everything you need, from health and beauty items you may have forgotten to pack to laundry detergent so you can do a load of laundry. Keith and his team have great attention to detail! The bungalow was extremely clean and the furnishings were very nice and comfortable. Amazing location right near the beach, as well as shops, restaurants, grocery stores etc. all within walking distance. The property also has beach cruisers and an Instep bike trailer for toddlers which worked great for us when we went on a family bike ride. In addition to the cruisers there are surfboards, boogie boards, wetsuits, beach chairs, and more all for your use while staying at the property! Can’t wait to return!!!!

Wonderful host and location
Keith was a wonderful host and always available if needed. A welcome basket with goodies was so sweet. Little thoughtful touches made the space special. Plenty of kitchen tools to cook at home. They even had a vitamix. Beds were very comfy. We also appreciated all the beach supplies. The area was nice and quiet. Walking distance to the market, beach and restaurants.

This property was the easiest, most well-organized, supplied, and owner-communicative that we have encountered in any rental we have stayed. There was no item or detail overlooked and we appreciated the qualityl inens, furnishings, and supplies. If you are planning on preparing meals, all details from sharpened knives, has stove, grill, and complete cookware and crockery is supplied. Location to grocery store, restaurants and coffee in less than 5 minute easy walk. Thank you for such a lovely, relaxed local beach stay. We will be back.

Relaxing stay
We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood that was conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. We made use of the surf and boogie boards. The house was well stocked and clean. The owner was very accommodating and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Great family vacation!

Amazing stay--exceeded expectations
The property was just perfect for our family of four (2 kids ages 3 and 6). The outdoor space was excellent, every little detail was taken care of, the neighborhood was super cute, quite and walkable and the hosts were super friendly and responded right away with any questions. Fun visit
We had a great stay here. It was our second time visiting. Walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. Clean, well equipped and great movie selection for our kids when we weren't at the beach.

Fabulous Bungalow
Stacy and Keith really thought of everything when it comes to the customer! I have never stayed at a rental that had every amenity, and we took advantage of them all. Surfboards, beach chairs, and boogie boards made for a blast at the beach. We rode the bikes to Encinitas for cocktails and dinner. Played a cut throat game of Perudo in the crows nest, and chilled by the fire catching up with our kids. We were here only for the weekend, but Stacy and Keith made it easy to pack a lot into our short stay!

From the moment we stepped into this property, we knew our stay was going to be special. Upon our arrival, we noticed a welcome basket with snacks and drinks. The garage is fully stocked with bikes, surfboards and more. We spent hours around the fire pit at night enjoying dinner and roasting marshmallows. They were very communicative throughout the process and checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. It was all the extra little details they thought to add that made our stay really memorable. We can’t wait to come back!!

A Perfect Christmas Family Vacation!
We had a delightful stay in the Cardiff bungalows for our family of five - kids ages: 21, 19, 15 and parents older than that :) - over the Christmas holiday. The exceptional customer service began once we booked our stay with timely communication from our host including detailed instructions (with pictures) on how to find the location and an enthusiastic personal greeting and a tour of the place by Keith (host) upon arrival. The excellent service continued as Keith made himself available by text as we had questions along the way and followed up with us at the end of our trip.
Keith and Stacy go to great lengths to create a comfortable, clean, livable space to vacation with family. They provide you with suggestions of local activities and eats to keep you satisfied and entertained. As a family who was seeking lots of beach/surf time, freedom to wander, roam, bike, and walk in a less touristy town, the location was perfect with a local vibe and friendly people. Although the location is close enough by car to some of the big theme parks and day trips, you can certainly entertain yourself locally and nearby towns and have a great time as we chose to do. The big draw for our family was the garage full of bikes, surf boards, wet suits, etc. We would definitely recommend this stay for others and will likely return! Thank you.

Sweet, walking distance to beach and market.
A perfect cottage for small family or couple. We love coming here as it was our second time. Easy to walk to the market for a quick bite or coffee. Hop over to the beach! Clean fresh linens, easy, safe home to be in.

Fantastic beach house near everything
Great property, near the shops, restaurants, brewery and beach. The house is well appointed and very well laid out for the size. The outdoor spaces were also super comfortable.
Keith and Stacy made the checkin process and stay super comfortable! Very attentive hosts. The garage had bikes, wetsuits surfboards, boogie boards, and chairs and umbrellas. My only disappointment was that our stay was not longer! We will be back.

Everything and then some!
This condo was more than amazing! We had everything we needed and then some! The goodies in the garage made for some great beach time. We enjoyed bike rides in to Encinitas, kayaks in LaJolla, the Birch aquarium - everything is so close to this Cardiff condo! This location is great!
Aside from an amazing location, inside the condo is very well maintained and organized. I appreciated the labels and "Read Me" binder with suggestions for local businesses. We had a few warm days and the air conditioner came in handy! The attention to detail was apparent and appreciated! We hope to return soon.

relaxing weekend getaway
The bungalow is perfect for our family of four. We stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed the location walking distance and we can bike everywhere to grocery, restaurant, and the beach. The video library is also very nice bonus, our boys love watching the videos to relax and chill inside after a long day at the beach. Thanks Keith!

Wonderful experience! Perfect for my family of 5, and great location!
Keith and his daughter Charlie were awesome! It was an ideal location for our Legoland/San Diego Zoo outings. Moonlight beach was perfect for families! The house is fully stocked with everything we needed and more! Will definitely stay again!
