Great house and cottage for family of 8 - 75yrs old. Lots
of activities inside at the house(pool table, tennis table etc) and a nice yard for outside activities. Cottage house was
very nice with nice size bedrooms. We called it the Senior
Center as us old folks stayed in it. Would stay there again!

We had our family reunion in this two property location. So perfect! Lots of space, bedrooms, game choices like pool and table tennis. The kitchen had stellar appliances and tools! A fire pit, easy access to beach and only a couple blocks from Safeway :). Large tables for games. Grills for outside with several picnic tables. We used them all! Definitely a choice for our next family reunion :)

This was our 2nd time staying at this location. The location and houses are fantastic. Problems: getting into the house is difficult because the instructions about the "locks" are not clear and correct. For example, your instructions say that the lockbox on the cottage is "near the garage in a covered area". It is NOT there, it's on the front porch . Also instructions about "alarms" are not needed because the alarms are not in use. The dish washer does not work right-- we had to run every load twice to get dishes clean, and even then it wasn't good. There were not enough dishwasher detergent pods. We had to use "beach towels " because there were only 4 bath towels available.

Gorgeous property with a well-stocked (in terms of appliances) kitchen. We had an excellent time, and it was the perfect location for a big group to enjoy walking down to the coastline. The only issues we ran into was actually getting into the cottage—our codes didn't work—but Vacasa support staff were able to get us sorted within an hour to get into that property.

My husband and I are newlyweds, and we were looking for a place that would bring together both sets of adult children and grandchildren for the holidays. This large and cozy home with its close proximity to the beach worked perfectly for our group. We loved that the main living spaces were connected ... so while someone was cooking in the kitchen, others were playing games at the dining table, and a family pool tournament was taking place upstairs in the open family room. We highly recommend this lovely home for your large group!

The house was a short walk to the beach which was not overly crowded. The house itself was great and the cottage addition was awesome for some extra space and privacy.

We stayed here for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary get together with people from the ages of 5-80. The location and layout of the property was great, HOWEVER, when we arrived on time for check in, the cleaners were still there and didn’t leave for 30 mins. The smell was absolutely horrible fish smell. So bad that we couldn’t even use ping pong table and foosball table in garage and after 3 days it was still bad. The property manager’s response when I told them was “We’re sorry, have you tried opening the windows”…. I would have expected some type of refund due to the amount we spent. We won’t stay here again.

The house is lovely and the location is excellent. Before we arrived, I had questions about what was provided in the house. When I called the help number I was told that all the information was on the app, but I did not find the answers there. We had trouble with the entry codes and had to call for help. The staff member who took our call was very helpful but couldn't solve the problem. He sent for a maintenance staff person who arrived quickly and helped us gain entry. The keyless entry gave us trouble our entire stay and we had to depend on the lockbox keys which the staff person had retrieved for us when he came to help. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. The house is open and spacious with a lovely view of the ocean and within steps of the beach. Everyone in the family was pleased with the accommodations.

Beautiful home, beautiful furnishings. Equipped with everything you need for feeding people. Great access to Beach, Shopping and things to do.
I did have lots of issues and had to speak with and communicate with someone from VRBO everyday I was there. Either email, texting or phone conversations. I had better things to do!
My family and friends did get most of their sights and fun in however.
I know things happen but it started from the get go with having the wrong key code. Thank goodness the cleaning person had not left yet and helped us get in after she made some phone calls.
Thank you for plenty of room for everybody, my family from out of state where so Blessed by all the area beauty they got to see and visit.
Thank you

We loved this property! We spent the week here with our children and grandchildren and the house was perfect!
We had a problem when checking in because the codes we were given to get in the house didn't work. We made a quick phone call and we were given a couple other codes to try and we were in the house in about 15 minutes.
The home is very spacious and well stocked with lots of household / kitchen items. There were lots of puzzles, games, a pool table, shuffleboard, ping pong and a poker table.
There was an issue with having enough hot water in the kitchen sink but there was always plenty of hot water for showers. The cute guest house was perfect for our newly married daughter and son in law.
The beach is a five minute walk away and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores. We even saw a few deer walking through the neighborhood.
We would definitely stay here again!

Overall the house was nice, clean and large enough to handle a big group. The only complaint was that the house codes listed in the check in email were not correct and it took us an hour to get into the house. We had to call the Vacasa service line which wasn't that ideal to work with and they also gave us the wrong codes.
8.0 / 10.0
The home was clean on arrival. The home says no shoes inside, so we expected the floors to be mopped. I'm assuming they were not since our feet were extremely dirty from walking on the floor. And the home didn't have a mop available, or we would have cleaned them on arrival. The pull out sofa had some damage so it wasn't usable, but those are the only issues we encountered that are within the control of Vacasa. The home is beautiful and spacious so our family had a wonderful time together. We saw deer daily in the yard and were able to easily walk to the beach (and casino if needed). We would love to stay here again. Lots of stairs incase someone has issues with stairs or young children.

We had a larger group for our stay for an event planning retreat. At first sight, this place was perfect and we were really excited to stay. As our weekend went on we started to feel a bit disappointed. First thing we notice was how dirty this place was--One of our guest spilled their drink in the kitchen floor and when they went to go clean it up, the floor was so dirty that her napkin was black and greasy. We noticed several spider webs and spiders roaming around the house leaving us to believe this rental may not be used as much.
There were also several broken things throughout the rental. The refrigerator was missing a tray in the door and it appears that the bottom drawer broke and was replaced with a random drawer that did not fit; the temperature wasn't as cold and couldn't keep our ice cream cold enough either. The microwave above the oven was broken (although another counter-top unit was provided), as well as the buttons on the oven were poked through and destroyed. The hot water system in the house is also very slow--it took about 5-10 minutes for the water to warm up in the kitchen in order to wash greasy dishes. One of our guest complained that the shower downstairs was too hot and struggled to change it. The couch is different from what is pictured and wasn't that comfortable. It seemed a bit old which made us sink in when sitting. One of the major negatives we experienced was when there was a rain storm that passed by, one of the windows in the living room started to drip water on to the window sill and eventually the floor. We had to stop our workshops to clean this area.
The positives we enjoyed were the large kitchen table that could fit our party. The shuffleboard, pool table, and card table upstairs made our weekend fun and kept guests entertained. The location was also quite convenient to the grocery store and beach as well. It was also nice to have 2 sets of washer and dryers so we could wash a load after the beach.
Overall it got the job done. Honestly, it didn't appear as luxury as named or advertised. Not sure we would return back to this rental.
6.0 / 10.0
First, we were happy to find a place to accommodate our large number (23) and enjoyed the entertainment amenities such as the shuffle board & pool table, ping pong table and games, and we appreciated the large eating table. The house was clean but needs some maintenance ie the broken handle on the toilet (we had to pull the chain inside the toilet tank to flush) and the house kitchen’s hot water has huge issues of access on demand without first having to run water in the bathroom sink an tub to get the hot water flowing! The basement tub should be recaulked and light fixtures checked to replace missing or burnt-out lightbulbs, safety detection batteries; the fireplace ignition didn’t work, and if the unusable fridge in the cottage garage would be removed or push back, two vehicles would fit easily inside the garage for unloading and loading things without dealing with weather. All these things we worked around, and although were inconvenient, didn’t detract too much from our our primary focus of spending time together.
My main complaint is dealing with Vacasa. Their “assistance” came from all over the world - polite, patient, and sympathetic to my issues of the key lockbox code not working, and the toilet and kitchen hot water problems, but there was NO follow through! No one was sent over to resolve the issues and no one called me back as they said they would. The code provided for the entry box to the cottage didn’t work and it took a good deal of time and effort on my part (several attempts via phone calls and text messaging) to get it resolved to get in, only to have it be a problem at departure, returning the key to the lock box! Luckily for me, the cleaner showed up when we were leaving and I explained to him the lock box problem and gave him the key to deal with because we were pressed to catch a plane and no one had called me back.
It is very likely I will NOT rent any houses managed by Vacasa in the future. It took several attempts to address the issues of lock box, toilet, and hot water and I never talked to the same person twice. One call got dropped, a couple connections were very poor, and no one called back with resolution about hot water/toilet or what to do with replacing the key when I needed to be departed. They said they had a local representative…really?? I have rented through VRBO many times but this is my first time dealing with Vacasa. I will avoid Vacasa in the future. VRBO - please take note!

Renting this place out for a retreat was great! We were a group of 20 and this house was spacious enough for us yet cozy! It allowed for workshops as well as fun and has a short walk to the beach. The house is clean and stocked with utilities and games. There weren’t unreasonable cleaning expectations and the host maintained only necessary communication to keep us informed of any need-to-knows. Host was attentive and friendly. We would definitely come back for another stay and recommend it to any big group looking to get away.

8.0 / 10.0
The house (houses really) are comfortable and in good shape. Just a short distance up the street from the beach and you can see the ocean from the windows of the main house. The houses are room and had everything we needed during our stay. The pool table and table shuffleboard got a lot of use. The electronics in the house are pretty dated (some tube TVs, and VHS tapes without a player) but honestly, we didn't need them with the beach so close. Definitely would consider this house again for a large group like we had.

Having the cottage which is really a separate house worked out great. Plenty of room and games for the kids to play play play.

Nice space and convenient location for our reunion.
6.0 / 10.0
We booked this house for a family reunion of 17 people. The space was large enough to accommodate all of us and had great proximity to the beach (about .3 miles). The very spacious kitchen was awesome.
The game rooms are wonderful as well.
That said the house did not live up to the “luxury” label in the title.
The property needs some love.
*paint the banisters
*clean and repair the grills (had to light manually and one burner didn’t work).
*fix the ripped screens
*purchase decent cutlery
*improve the hot water tank situation so it accommodates the numbers the house holds
*replace dated bedspreads with duvet covers that are easily washed
*improve quality of sheets if claiming it is a luxury home
The outdoor space has great potential but there were only 2 plastic Adirondack chairs at the cottage deck and old chairs on the balcony (total seating for 6 people in a house that sleeps 23) . One chair was missing a cushion and the other had cigarette burns in the cushions.
During our stay the carbon monoxide detector went off so we called the fire department and notified Vacasa, the management company. It’s no problem that the alarm went off — all was ok. But Vacasa never got back to us. Additionally when we contacted Vacasa for no hot water in the cottage it took a call where we were on hold for a long time and never got through ,multiple texts to get a response, and a few hours wait. We have rented 3 vacation homes this summer and this experience with this particular rental agency has not been positive. In light of the service fees charged and the cost of property we expected better response time to important issues such as hot water problems.
There are two lockboxes — was confusing as to which to use and they are difficult to access.
This property has amazing potential. It just doesn’t currently meet the standards required for a luxury description and the price tag. Invest a few thousand dollars, hire a local manager, and this property could be great.

Don't book through Vacasa
The home, the amenities, the property, and the location were all prime. Working with Vacasa was not. Initial access to the properties were difficult given that the lock boxes had the wrong codes. Receiving them took an hour of standing in the cold rain. Upon entry, there was spiders that negated one bedroom from being used. I would book only the cottage, and through someone else, if we were to come back.

Great Weekend stay
We loved the location, layout and floor plan of the big house. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked. And the quick response of the local manager Mary Self helped a lot.

Maintenance
The place was nice, held us all. Great views. Now on the flip side, in need of some maintenance. The main problem is the kitchen sink, finding hot water and no water pressure. The faucet has issues. Dishwasher didn't clean the dishes. Also paint was peeling off the hand rail to the stairway. Not really clean, under the TV and stands was a dust ball and the rugs were nasty.

Way more than expected…
Had a blast at this property. The cottage made it even more than comfortable for everyone. And we all know, 7 adult couple hanging out for a weekend takes up a ton of space. Super close to everything.

Very spacious -timely communication
The primary house and cottage was very nice and spacious for a family gathering of 16 (including kids 4 and under)! I would have given it 5 stars but there were a few issues that I would not have expected when the word luxury is in the name. In another reviewers comment, they mentioned black slime in the washer, it was still there. The BBQ grills didn’t work initially. After a call to the company, someone was there soon after and repaired both grills. There were other minor things that I won’t list but if I could make a suggestion…..check on your housekeeping team to make sure the property is ready for occupancy. If repairs are needed or appliances need replacement, take it out of service. Other than that it really was a relaxing and fun place for the entire family.
