Perfect location, plenty of space, and cozy family/TV room. Older house with lots of charm, in lovely neighborhood convenient to midtown. Needed more electrical outlets upstairs.

We stayed for a week during the Thanksgiving break. House is quite large accommodating six adults. Plenty of room to rest and relax. House is well heated and Atlanta got cold for a change, when we were visiting. Hosts kept more than enough starter supplies. We have seen reviews about pests in the house but there were none. Very conveniently located to Kroger, Target and other stores in a very safe neighborhood in the Midtown. All in all we loved out stay! We will stay there again when we visit next time.

We had a wonderful time at our stay in Atlanta. This home was perfectly appointed and the location was the best!
4.2
The home was a great fit for our group because it could accommodate all of us. The location was wonderful as we could walk to some great restaurants in the Emory Village.

nice area, could be a decent house, if not for the huge cockroaches and spiders, fat dead rat near the front sidewalk. Located right on a corner intersection. Traffic was so loud every night, older windows don't block much noise. Believe the renter in the basement was a smoker, every night i smelled cigarette smoke in my bedroom. Light switches that wouldn't work to turn on lights, and lights we couldn't turn off.
this house has a lot of potential, just not something I'd stay at again.

Lovely house
We stayed for a week in this lovely house. Great location. Very clean. But it is clearly historic and so be aware if you stay there - it has issues like all old houses (creaky floors, etc). But that why I think it is so great!

Great spot for a family gathering
We had a wonderful weekend in Atlanta. We flew our kids in from other East Coast cities and the house provided a great home base for the weekend and the ability for us to all spend time together. Much better than a bunch of hotel rooms!! Thank you!

Family wedding
We stayed here for an out of town wedding with other family members. It was perfect for what we wanted- to be close to the wedding but be able to socialize during the day and some evenings. The bedrooms were nice, and so were the king beds. The back deck was great and we used it a lot. The grill did not work, so ask about that if you plan to use it. The only downside is the location. Although it's close to many things, its right on the corner of busy streets and got quite loud at night and in the early mornings, I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
But overall, a perfect stay for what we wanted and communication with the host was good! I would book again.

Let me first start by saying, it pains me to write a this review. As both a business owner & home owner who lists on this site, I know how valuable positive reviews can be for future business. I have politely reached out to Sara, the owner, multiple times in the hopes of discussing the conditions of the house, only to be completely ignored.
Upon our arrival, we entered through the back door, which leads you into the kitchen. There was a foul smell as soon as we walked in, like rotten trash. The trash and fridge were empty, leaving us stumped. We noticed the kitchen countertops (especially the stovetop) hadn’t been cleaned. My co-worker and I quickly toured the rest of the house and unloaded our luggage in a hurry to pick up our colleagues from the airport and get to our work event.
After returning & unpacking from a long day of travel, a couple girls volunteered to clean the kitchen in the hopes the smell would go away. We decided to order a pizza. When we went to take the pizza boxes out to the trash can, it was already at the curb overflowing from the previous tenants. By the end of other week, the curb looked like a dumpster site.
It’s worth noting there are only 2 very tiny bathrooms upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. It’s a tight squeeze for a full house. Ladies- There is practically no counter space to get ready in any of the bathrooms and the lighting in the house is very dim (hardly any natural light in comparison to the brightly lit gallery images.)
We were scheduled for a 4 day work conference at the State Farm Arena, where we spent a majority of our time (7am-6pm.) Each time we returned home, the smell had traveled further through the house, eventually making its way upstairs along with the gnats that started to magically appear. One of the girls thought it could possibly be a gas leak, so I notified the owner via the app. She never sent anyone out to inspect. On night 3, we found two big roaches in our bedrooms. And as we were tidying up on the last night, we noticed a ton of gnats around the oven so we opened it and discovered two large trays of rotten food covered in bugs. We were all disgusted.
The property is on the corner of a very busy intersection and super noisy at night. The property is rented out to multiple guests at the SAME time- the main house, a back house, AND a separate room that is attached to the main house.
Not ideal for those seeking privacy or cleanliness. Pictures of proof lisacarr44@gmail

Overall, it was a nice house in a great location. That being said - I was extremely disappointed with the check in process. We were from out of town and did not receive the check in code at 4 PM as we were supposed to (this was after we requested early check in and were denied, therefore the property manager knew we were in town already). We were in an unfamiliar city with no where to go. An hour after our check in time, I finally tried to contact the property manager to request it. I did not receive a response for over half an hour via VRBO message and the number provided is not in service. We were very worried that we had no where to stay and were scammed. Finally after receiving the code via message, we received no form of sympathy from the property manager. She insisted that she sent the welcome message, which did not include any information containing our check in code. There was also a person and their dog staying in the guest home (which is less than 10 feet from the home). I do believe this should have been communicated since we were thrown off guard to wake up with another car in the driveway. In summary, I’d recommend the home for the location and space but probably wouldn’t risk staying here due to lack of communication.

This property manager canceled on us the day that we were supposed to check-in. They stated that they could not accommodate us because they had booked the property on another platform. This property manager's rights should be revoked on VRBO. This is a scam. Don't book this property. This property manager is just using your money.

Spacious home well suited to large groups
This property was spacious and well-suited for the large group staying there. While the house was generally clean in very good condition, portions of the back deck were rotting and had collapsed. There were no ropes or signage to indicate what parts of the deck were safe. Still, I would again rent this property.

Some bugs (roaches and spiders), more dishes /washcloths would be nice, beds were nice overall a decent stay

We rented the entire property for a wedding weekend- we were so comfortable and the stunning property is so convienient to all the needs you could possibly have. The only I would have is provide more towels and bathroom paper products. Thank you would definitely highly recommend for a large party!

Beautiful well apportioned home.
The house fit our needs very well. It had plenty of bedrooms and the kitchen was stocked with all the cooking accessories that we needed. The home has plenty of area to park. The back deck is great for hanging out on.

The house was fantastic! Clean with historic charm. Wonderful deck, and walking distance to Emory and the restaurants at Emory Village!

Fab House
My family has used this type of rentals for years. Hilton Head , Cornanado and the keys. We usually do not write a long review, but property is worth. This property is beautiful and shaded. 5 bedrooms (one being on first floor) Half Bathroom on first Floor, 2 full baths on the second floor. Location was great for a weekend getaway. We were there for the Chick Fila Game , Dragon Con , family get together, shopping. There is a bus stop at house, but the Lindberg train as the one that we used to go to the game. Drove to station with 8 minutes, hopped train and popped downtown. Train is the way!
On Piedmont Rd there are great place to eat like Cowtippers. If you want more upscale Pop downtown or out to Buckhead .
The agent was very real responsive to all questions. Even sent a co worker out on a Friday Night to check the AC.
The agent was the best I have dealt with!!! No over bearing or hostile!

4 bedroom + study by Emory
As the other reviewers have noted, this is an older house that is well decorated and stocked. Why I only rated it as average is for the following reasons: 1) It's on a VERY busy intersection. Traffic noise on week days is from 6am to about 10p. Since it's an older house, the windows are single pain and so you hear everything. It is also close to a hospital so at least once a day there is a siren. 2) The downstairs bedroom is more like a den with a bed. In the summer, it's very warm since all of the windows leak and you can't make it dark as only light curtains on in the room. 3) Someone lives in a little house behind the house. While they didn't cause any issues, was a little leery initially as I have 2 teenage daughters and didn't want them walking in the back yard at night. 4) Not all of the upkeep is complete.. 1 of the bedroom fans wasn't working, many of the light fixtures had burnt out bulbs, mattresses aren't the most comfortable 5) Railing for stairs is loose and very low compared to current standards (I DON'T recommend this house if you have toddlers for this reason).
With that, if you are looking for a house close to Emory, convenient to downtown for a large group without toddlers, I do recommend this house.

Bud H.
Beautiful old house with beautiful furnishings in the Druid Hills section of Atlanta on the Decatur town line. The neighborhood is both upscale and scenic. The second floor is configured with 2 bedrooms and an in-between bathroom on both sides of the main hallway (4 bedrooms and 2 baths total). Fifth bedroom and a third (partial) bath are both located downstairs. Depending on the size of your group, how well you know each other and how fast you are in the bathroom, this can be ok (or not). The home is located on a busy intersection near Emory University so ear plugs would be good for light sleepers (lots of incoming and outgoing ambulances). This is a 5-star property with the exception of these two drawbacks.

Rockin house
Very nice house. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking accessories needed. House was spacious & comfortable & clean. Plenty of off street parking. The cable & internet was not working when we arrived but a couple phone calls to the property manager and it was back online. One draw back for us is that we thought there was a bedroom/bath down stairs. Turns out it was a double bed in an unheated studio room. All 4 bedrooms are upstairs in a jack-n-Jill layout. House is located on the corner of a busy intersection. Traffic noise was a bit of a problem. There is a Marta stop in front of house. Still a nice property.

Happy resident
This home is the perfect home for a family gathering. The rooms are spacious and everything you may need is there. The owners are attentive and accommodating. The home provided the perfect setting for our family Christmas dinner. We had the most unforgettable time in this home. I recommend this home for your next family vacation away from home.
