About this apartment rental
This classic Brooklyn apartment is a passion project for me. I am a contractor and brought my experience in luxury properties to the total gut-renovation of the apartment. The space is airy and unique, with ample sunlight, original detail skylights, and an open floor plan. There are two large, light bedrooms, a giant modern bathroom, and a kitchen designed for chefs.
Experience an intelligently-designed, ultra-modern home in the heart of Brooklyn’s most energetic and active artistic and cultural district. Integrated into the space are pop-up exhibitions and art installations, which are always fluctuating and taking new forms. The shelves are lined with board games, craft supplies, and maps and guidebooks. Beer is available in the fridge and polaroid film and camera as well as a variety of med cab items are accessible with a small suggested donation.
Living area is attached and comes equipped with a television, Alexa, cable and WIFI. The bathroom is spacious with a rainwater shower. K cups and tea are available to all guests.
Amenities include
-across the street from the supermarket
- 1 block from Halsey stop on the J train
-10 minutes to Bushwick stop on the L train
-10 minutes to Rockaway stop on the C train

The present "exhibit" is based on a color theme. Included in the display is my collection of art and architecture books as well as my collection of dictionaries.
This is a second floor apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn. People are out at night. I live downstairs. Its a residential neighborhood. At night it is not noisy, but it is not dead silent.

NYC
Gabe was awesome! Everything we needed was right there. Things you wouldn’t think of he had it stocked and ready. The place was very well kept and clean. The area seemed pretty safe for the most part. It’s very close to the train and lots of stores and dinning areas near by. I would definitely stay here again!

great stay
great stay. close to Subway. Everything was provided for us. Gabe even provided local beers for a small price. Our stay was at the beginning of the corona virus...Gabe called to see if we were okay with the cleaning supplies in the apt. or if we would be more comfortable with something else ... if so he offered to bring it over. Very thoughtful.
would definitely stay again

Two bedrooms apartments, very clean with stylish touches. Well stocked kitchen, beers in the fridge, polaroid camera, bowl with one hundred blue pens, plenty of shampoos...
5 minutes from J station, 30 minutes from Manhattan. Quiet street, neighborhood is ok, walking distance to small restaurants and 2 minutes to full supermarket. We always felt safe.

Gabe’s is great
We had a great time staying at Gabe’s property. Beer in the fridge welcoming us. He has literally thought of everything. Was lovely and warm and cozy even during some very cold NY weather. Gabe was very responsive and a fabulous host.

We really enjoyed our stay in Gabriel’s flat. Very clean, luminous, spacious and good location for subway direct to south Manhattan.
Gabriel is very reactive and helpful.
I will definitly recommend this modern, well decorated and design place and keep it in mind if I come back to NYC one day. Important point : beds are very good and confortable after long walks in the city :)
Thanks again !

Perfect place
One of the best places we have stayed. Every detail was thought of & communication was excellent with property owner. The neighborhood was quiet & there were shops close by to eat at & stock the fridge. Just a few blocks walk from the J train. Was great to come “home” after a day of exploring NYC. Thanks for making it feel like home!

Wonderful stay in Brooklyn
Beautiful home and excellent location. I travelled with my 21 year old daughter and this was her first trip to New York. I wanted to stay in Brooklyn instead of Manhattan, and this place was perfectly located. We loved walking to the subway to and from everyday. We visited a lot of awesome areas in Brooklyn and just had a wonderful time. Gabe was a gracious host and took care of us. We door dashed dinner two evenings and walked to restaurants too. Great place, great host and we will visit again.

Wonderfull place in Brooklyn
We loved our 7-days stay in this apartement. When we arrived, we felt immediately at home. Everything you need is in the house.
The house is spacious. We lived here with three adults, who come from the Netherlands. We enjoyed the little details in the house. The pictures on Vrbo give a good impression.
The neighbourhood was good enough. We never felt really uncomfortable, although at night you see sometimes people walking on the street who are a bit "lost" of look homeless.
The metro is at the corner, 5 minutes walk. There is a good supermarket at the corner of the street (1 minute walk).
The communication with Gabrial was good, specially when we lived in the same timezone as Gabriel (when we were in Europe we sometimes had to wait). He is a very friendly person, who communicated very well.
Thank you, Gabriel, for having us.
We recommend his place for sure!

Brooklyn gem
We spent a week at this gorgeous apartment. Every amenity that you could ask for, was available! Gabe was an awesome host, quickly responding to any of our queries. The subway is a few blocks away and within 40 minutes you can be in downtown Manhattan. Highly recommend this place. Thankyou Gabe

First time in NY
This was a great apartment for our first time in New York. Gabe was on hand if we needed anything and we really appreciated the beers in the fridge! The location was good for picking up the Subway - less than a 5 minute walk and a supermarket at the top of the street! Great places to eat in walking distance too!

Felt Like Home Away From Home
It's never easy traveling and wondering what you are actually walking into. I have to say walking into Gabriel's house was an awe moment. One that was not expected. We loved the feeling as soon as we walked in the door. It was so inviting, so quaint, and cozy. We felt like we belonged as soon as we walked in and he added personalized touches just for us. This was by far the best VRBO or Airbnb experience we have had yet. The neighborhood was not bad and was so close to all transportation needed. Gabe was in touch to ensure we had everything we needed and more. The personal touches and supplies available were phenomenal. Sébastien the fish and Alexa were the perfect final touches after long days of touring the city. We loved this home and all it had to offer. We will recommend to everyone coming to NY. Thank you Gabriel for giving us the perfect home away from home.

Unique place
By far the best bnb I have ever stayed at. All needs met in a fascinating and artistic way. Parked right out front. Subway short distance away. Even people at the corner coffee shop, where I had my morning cappuccino and croissant, were exceptionally friendly.

Modern Design and Lots of Space
We enjoyed our time in NYC and especially enjoyed having Gabe’s apartment as our home base. We loved the modern creative design throughout the apartment. There was plenty of space for my wife and I and our 17-yr-old nephew. We used the J subway to get into Manhattan each day. Only a 25 min Lyft ride to LaGuardia. Would definitely recommend!

Bushwick Stay
A comfortable two bedroom apartment, well supplied with amenities. A short walk to the subway train into Manhattan and to local shops. Easy living if you want to be away from Manhattan.

Nice design, owner, and location!
Wonderful place with nice amenities and design touches throughout. We noticed something new each day of our four night visit! Gabe was very responsive and conscientious, and we could immediately tell he cared about his overall guest experience. Easy subway access to the J or L, coffee, groceries, and pharmacy close by, and convenient food options. It was a pleasure to return after a day of sightseeing and enjoy the relative calm of the place before heading out for evening adventures. Despite being close to subways and businesses, we slept well and were surprised at how quiet things got at night. We'd highly recommend for the unique experience, great owner, and functional location

It was a great place to return to between all the weekend wedding activities during our daughter's wedding. A beautiful, updated apartment, with natural light streaming through the space, hardwood floors, minimalist decor, very clean. The market was walking distance, and Gabe the owner, helped us with all our needs. It was very quiet considering that it's New York area. We highly recommend this place, and will return since our daughter is in the area.

I stayed with my two sons in this modern townhome, to visit with my daughter who lives in Bushwick. The neighborhood is safe and very convenient to the MTA. The townhome is attractive and the decor very modern european. Gabe the owner lives next door and is very welcoming. Since my daughter lives in this area I will return here to visit vs staying at a hotel. So much more relaxing, and it is easy to get to other areas of the city by hopping on the train.

It' s been a pleasure to stay at Gabe's place. The appartment is spacious, 2 real bedrooms, newly renovated, fully furnished. The location is great, the closest subway station only few minutes walking distance and then 20 minutes to Manhattan. I would definitly come back! Thanks for everything Gabe!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay for the weekend last minute because my reservation at airbnb was cancelled for some unexplained reason. Then my co-worker told me about HomeAway so I decided to check it out and I came across a nice apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn for a very affordable price. It was very easy to communicate with Gabriel and the booking process went very smoothly. When we arrived to the apartment he greeted us very warmly then gave us a brief tour of the apartment and told us about the cool gadgets and amenities (my personal favorite was the Amazon Alexa). The bedroom was clean and cozy and it had a wall mounted heater that allowed us to control the temperature settings with a remote. The bathroom was also clean and very modern and the medicine cabinet had new toothbrushes and bar soaps for us to use. Parking was also very easy to find on the street. Our only concern was that the bedroom windows didn't have any curtains, but when we addressed it to Gabriel, he quickly fixed the problem for us. Altogether, my experience there was very pleasant and comfortable. Gabriel was a sweet and thoughtful host and I would certainly go back to book another weekend getaway!
