About this cabin rental
Serenity Falls Cabin is located on 3 acres in the middle of a canyon with breathtaking views. The cabin is conveniently located on Hwy 11, half a mile from Torrent Falls, 4 miles from Natural Bridge State Park and a half of a mile from Red River Rock House restaurant, but is very secluded. Wifi, Netflix, Hulu and upgraded cable subscriptions included.
The cabin sits in the middle of a horseshoe shaped canyon. There are unique areas around the property to explore including multiple creeks, beautiful old trees and rock formations that can only be found in the Red River Gorge. There is a seasonal waterfall that you can see from the porch. The waterfall runs in the Winter, Fall and Spring or after several days of hard raining. It is a 3 minute walk up to the cabin from the parking area, but it is well worth the seclusion and beauty of this cabin. There is a fire pit where you can cook over the fire, grill out on the charcoal grill, or cook in the newly remodeled kitchen. The cabin offers indoor or outdoor seating for meals and a large Charcoal grill for cooking. There are two Adirondack chairs situated under the canyon, which makes a relaxing spot for coffee in the morning, especially when it is raining. You can look out to the beautiful horse shoe canyon from the hot tub. This is truly a special, secluded cabin!
The cabin has 3 beds. One private master bedroom with a California King bed with a large hand made barn door. There is a loft containing two Queen beds divided by a wall. There is a nice sized couch for sleeping and extra comforters, blankets and pillows. The bathroom walls are made of 100 year old barn wood.
Comfortable beds, hardwood floors throughout the cabin, and a very efficient Woodstock wood stove. Firewood provided. Located in the woodshed in the parking area.
You are welcome to bring your dog/dogs they will enjoy the vacation as much as you with all of the creeks and woods to play in!
Check in is at 2pm. Check out is at 10am.
We welcome any questions that you may have about the property.

Awesome cabin in the woods, super secluded! Would definitely recommend!

All we can say is ditto to the previous reviews on this rental. Felicia is amazing to work with, and the house and property are just so awesome.
We have been waiting to come out (all the way from Chicago) and it was even more than we imagined. Very much worth the drive.
We had some heavy rain one of the days which made it even more amazing to just enjoy the cabin and property. It made sitting in the chairs under the rocks even more special with the rain falling through the leaves.
We hiked the property all the way to the waterfall (which was flowing because of the rain), and explored the many area trails and restaurants. It was a much needed peaceful trip.
The cabin is darling, comfortable, quiet, peaceful. Yup, the stairs are tough the first few times, but they definitely get easier. Felicia is right, pack light!!! You don’t need everything you have loaded in your car. We brought our two dogs and they were in heaven.
Do not hesitate… it is great! And we have stayed in lots of VRBO properties all over the county and even in Europe. This is by far one of our favorites.

Wonderfully secluded with everything we needed!

The location is secluded and nestled between the mountain and the forest. Morning coffee on the deck is perfect.

We stayed at Serenity Falls 4 years ago, just weeks before COVID shut-downs began. When getting back into normal life, I kept thinking back to the solitude and tranquility of Serenity Falls, only to find that vacancies definitely aren’t as easy to come by these days! It seems the secret little getaway we’d found isn’t such a secret these days!
I booked a free open weekend and fortunately the timing worked out as a finale to a particularly tough month at work for me. All the makings of a lazy, relaxing hideaway weekend! As I sat on the deck, watching the world go by, I couldn’t help but think that I don’t crave time at Serenity Falls to get away as much as I yearn to become part of something authentic, natural and “home.” I feel nestled into a little pocket of nature that allows me to spectate and become part of the something so natural and organic; I feel connected. It’s very grounding.
The hubs and I enjoyed the privacy and freedom to explore around the cabin and ended up spending our entire weekend onsite. Luckily a nice storm popped up and put on a show for the memory books, waking up the waterfall for the final days of our weekends. Bringing the dogs along always makes for a great trip! They loved exploring the property! Many cute photo ops too!
The only thing that could possibly make it better - a hammock! 😉
Pro Tip- Pack light and wear good shoes for the hike up. That hill is no joke! It really makes you admire the work that went into Serenity Falls
possible.

Really cool house located in a secluded canyon.

We so enjoyed this cabin! It’s rustic, but updated (like has great AC, which was a MUST in July). Waking up in the trees was the best!
We kinda wished we came over a weekend as lots of the local things were closed mid-week, but we didn’t need to leave the cabin much anyways.
Felicia isn’t joking about packing light! Carrying a suitcase up 60+ stairs is pretty comical. Despite that, we would love to return to Serenity Falls one day.

This cabin was very clean, cozy and close to everything! We hiked around the property, played in the creek and relaxed in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second visit to Serenity Falls because we enjoyed our first stay so much. Felicia was great to work with and checked in via texts to see if we needed anything. This is a charming cottage in an amazing location. The pictures really don't do it justice, you need to see it in person. It's very secluded and is a great place to just relax and enjoy the cottage and the natural surroundings. We're so glad we returned!

My family loved our long weekend stay at Serenity Falls. The cabin is surrounded by trees and almost feels like a tree house in the canyon. The first hike up to the cabin with all of our bags was tough for the kids (age 6 and 9) after a long drive. Subsequent trips up with no bags were much easier. The kids' favorite things were the hot tub and surprisingly unlocking/relocking the gate to race up the path to the cabin. The beds were comfortable and the water was clean/drinkable. The kitchen had everything we needed and included coffee and some spices.
Very close proximity (5 minutes) to Slade and the Natural Bridge area. Less than 30 minutes drive to all the other hikes in the area. We enjoyed Red River Rockhouse and the General Store which were both even closer than town.
Check-in was very easy and there was quick communication from the owner.

Breathe taking get away from your everyday life. The views out of every window were amazing, the waterfall in the back ground made for a peaceful zen ambience. It had rustic cabin feel but yet with modern day twist.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this AMAZING cabin! The cabin has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and the surroundings are BEYOND beautiful. Trails through the property lead to a soft waterfall and seating. And…the hiking in the Red River Gorge area is stunning. The shops nearby also don’t disappoint. Book this property….trust me! *****

I loved the cliff behind the cabin, it was fun to explore the property and the cabin was very quiet and nice. We loved our time there and hope to go back. The steps were a pain in the butt after hiking all day but definitely worth it for how secluded everything is. I would recommend skipping leg day beforehand and packing light!

We traveled to Serenity Falls with our two dogs. The property itself is amazing to explore! The waterfall is beautiful. It is a hike to get up and down the stairs to the cabin, especially with luggage, but it was well worth it! The pictures can’t capture how gorgeous everything is, you’ll have to check it out for yourself! Can’t recommend enough!

I can't express how much we loved this property. The location is perfect and the hosts are amazing and the property is just out of this world, If I could buy it, I would. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

This is literally the best and coolest vacation rental we have ever been to. The property that the cabin sits on is truly amazing. We hiked to the waterfall, and spent some great time outdoors in the canyon where the cabin is. The cabin is so cute and has everything you need. The book, Hinterlands, that they have there is also so great and guided us through the Indian Staircase hike. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re looking for great hikes. We are already thinking of times to come back and stay again!

Stayed for a long weekend during the solar eclipse 2024, my husband and I with our seventeen year old son. Everything you could want is right there on the property, waterfalls, creek, hiking and adventure out around the rocks. We will be back

We came "from the city" with our four sons for some R&R in the Red River Gorge and staying at Serenity Falls was the highlight of our trip. The seclusion and nature was a welcome retreat and our boys had a blast exploring the property! My 8, 10, and 16 year old's climbed around the canyon, played in the creek, and felt like they were in a movie set. My 13 year old (who is a little less outdoorsy) loved just hanging out in the hot tub, or sitting in the chairs by the fire. There was something for everyone! Not to mention the cabin was a short distance from Miguel's Pizza (a fun pizza place with a bball court for the kids to play), and the Rock House which served up some of the best burgers we've ever eaten. We hope to make another visit to Serenity Falls!

Came here for spring break with my two boys ages 12 and 14. To be honest, they were not excited to be headed to Kentucky, but little did they know what we had in store! After walking up the stairs, and seeing the cabin, they were thrilled! They each had their own bed up in the loft and I had the comfy, comfy bed and the primary bedroom that is surrounded by windows. We had so much fun, climbing the Varada, and doing repelling at the southeast Michigan mountain guides, which is very very close. Also love the proximity to also many restaurants like Hops and Red Point bbq and red river rock house. Sitting in the hot tub and looking around at all the formations in the cove around the cabin was awesome. As was the little walk to the waterfall. Loved having coffee in the chairs while hearing the waterfall and watching the rain but staying dry. Loved every minute of this trip. Thanks Felicia.

This was an amazing spot to stay on our Kentucky road trip. The property is gorgeous. We had the best time while we were here.

Everyone says this is amazing. That is an understatement. The Serenity waterfall was incredible just out the back door. The little hike to the falls was fun, with chairs along the way. We are not touristy people, but if you are, the cabin is just up the road from Natural Bridge State Park. Icicles were breaking off the gorge walls by the cabin, and it was so fun to listen and watch. There are about thirty stairs to the cabin, and my wife does not know what the term "pack light" means, so we should have packed differently. We travel using big tubs and bags would work better to the hike to the cabin. The cabin is close to the trails we love to hike (Indian Staircase, Courthouse Rock...) Clean and all the stuff you need for a great stay. Master bed is very comfy. We always cook all our food and it had everything we needed. We can't wait for our next stay!

Can't wait to stay again at this magical cabin in the heart of the Red River gorge. So many thoughtful details in the cabin and surrounding land that make your stay even more special with a hot tub, backyard waterfall, wood burning log stove and fire pit. The hosts even had firewood that you can use during your stay.
Close enough that you can get to everything in the gorge quickly, but the cabin itself is secluded and serene. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook after a long day of hiking. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and accommodating. Couldn't recommend this cabin more, our favorite place we have ever stayed in the Gorge hands down.

The stairs were a little intimidating at first especially since we were on vacation. Although how can you go to Red River Gorge and not expect to exercise? Let me tell you the walk up to the cabin is more than worth it! Beautiful property and within proximity to all the best sites. My family and I had the best time staying here. Thank you to Perry and Felicia for making this property a possibility.

This place is a gem. We stayed for Christmas and my wife and I had a blast. We were able to go on a Christmas day hike, then came back to watch movies and relax. The full kitchen is perfect and was supplied for us to cook full meals. Walking to the property was an exciting challenge for us and WELL worth it. Do yourself a favor and have your next stay at the gorge at this cabin.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in this cabin! Very clean and perfect for our short two day getaway. Would stay again. Very close to everything!

The property I walked every day. The path to the waterfall was bittersweet. The benches throughout the property to sit and soak in the views, the sounds were soothing. The walk up to the cabin does get easier I can agree with that.

I loved the secluded area. It’s a very comfy and cozy cabin. I loved the little hidden area in the rocks to sit and relax. The hot tub was matter a long day of hiking. I did not love the climb from the parking area to get to the cabin. Especially when checking in and out. It’s definitely better to pack lightly. It was no fun packing our bags into the cabin and then taking them out when we left. But the seclusion made it a little easier to tolerate the climb. Just pack light.
