What a lovely quiet and peaceful place to come back to after long days of moving our son into his first apartment for CU. The most beautiful plants, great kitchen, office for my husband to work. All around very comfortable. And, grocery, bagel and coffee shop nearby as well as hiking trails by Flatirons. Gregory and Jewel were very kind and responsive. We hope to return again!

This was a great location for our visit to Boulder. It was easy to walk to nearby shopping and a quick drive to hiking trails and NCAR. The house was relaxing and provided lots of space for our family of 5.

Beautiful property and great location. Several seating areas for everyone to spread out. Bathroom downstairs is tight but manageable for most. If not ,it is nice that another full bath is on the middle level. More steps then I realized from reading the listing which is good to know when having older relatives but the railings on the steps really helped. We really enjoyed our stay and your beautiful home.

Our visit was so relaxing in this very clean and peaceful house. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed the zen-like feng shui of this home. Perfect location to hiking and the university. We will be back!

This was a wonderful property to stay at with my family over the holidays! The house is beautiful and spotless, with plenty of room to relax and all the comforts of home (and then some!). The kitchen was great and we were able to make a variety of holiday meals. The neighborhood is very quiet and convenient, and close to both downtown Boulder and wonderful hiking options. Would absolutely stay here again.

Extended family needed a central location to stay in Boulder to be with a dying family member. Jewel and her husband were so kind and flexible with us. It was a beautiful home for everyone to stay, and such a nice neighborhood (also loved having the hot tub access).

We had a great stay here. The backyard is tranquil and private, and the house is close to many trailheads and downtown Boulder. Great location. We appreciated all the indoor plants too.

House very clean and comfortable. Peaceful back yard. Neighborhood very quiet. Easy access to local shopping and restaurants. Quick drive into central Boulder.
IMO not suitable for young children due to art pieces and live plants. Might be difficult for someone with mobility issues are there are several stairs and uneven stepping stones.

My husband and I just completed our week-long stay at the ‘Zen Retreat.’ We definitely found this home to meet nearly all of our vacation needs: the open layout was wonderful; the kitchen was well-stocked and spacious for cooking; the bedrooms and bathrooms were super comfy and more than adequate; and the backyard oasis with hammock and water feature was THE perfect spot for calm relaxation any time of day. Although temperatures were higher than average for a Boulder summer during our stay, we found the cooling system to work very well and enjoyed sleeping with the cool temps overnight and windows open. We also greatly benefited from the location close to several grocery stores and easy access to bike & hiking trails.
Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working due to a malfunction and missing part that needed to be re-ordered and installed. This was a major disappointment as a hot tub is a must-have for us when hiking and choosing a rental. However, Jewel was incredibly communicative throughout our stay, keeping us updated on the repairs, and she arranged for free passes at a nearby fitness club with a hot tub. We sincerely appreciated the effort to rectify the problem and to provide an alternative. No doubt they will have it back up and running soon!
It is clear Jewel & Gregg have put a ton of thought and care into the decor of their home and it truly shows. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at their beautiful property and will look back fondly on our trip to Boulder!

This was a beautiful home. Cozy spaces for our group of 6 to lounge and rest comfortably. The living room was my favorite place to hang. They have a beautiful gas fireplace that kept us cozy while we spent the cold days in and working on a puzzle. It’s just all around relaxing! Great big kitchen and table for creating and sharing meals together. We will def come back to this home if available for our next family visit. Thanks Jewel !

Beautiful home with a peaceful feel in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed spending time in the backyard, which was filled with plants, trees, sculptures, and visiting birds. The nearby Bear Creek hiking trail was convenient, and fun for myself & pooches. The home was clean, comfortable, and communication with owners quick and easy.

We stayed at this cute home for CU Family Weekend with our daughter! Location was a bit away from downtown/campus area but not a bad drive at all. 10-15 minutes. It was actually nice to be away from all the crazy. There was a grocery store down the street and a few restaurants as well.
Kitchen - we cooked for my daughter while we were there. She wanted home cooked meals and stuff to freeze and take back to her apartment. So this worked out great. Had a nice breakfast nook and good size dining table. The one thing is they didn't have a microwave. Made it hard to heat stuff up. Other than that it was perfect.
Family room - plenty of seating for all of us. Television had access to Netflix, which worked for us because we were very busy and didn't watch too much television.
Bedrooms - all had nice comfortable beds.
Outdoor - loved that they had a hot tub. It was a big hit with our family. Also the hammock and seating area with a BBQ. It was perfect.

Since my son could not come home for Thanksgiving this year, we brought Thanksgiving to him! We had a lovely stay at the Zen Retreat Home. We prepared Thanksgiving dinner for six of us and found the kitchen to be well equipped with everything we needed. Bedding was very comfortable. We were a little disappointed that the jets were not working in the hot tub so we did not use it. But overall, we had a nice comfortable stay. Waking up our last morning with snow on the ground was an added bonus!

My family and I (five of us total) recently stayed in this beautiful south Boulder home. The location is excellent and the hosts were very accommodating. Since my husband and I were driving to Colorado from Pennsylvania, we needed flexibility with regard to our check-in time. Jewel and Gregg were very understanding and allowed us to check-in when we arrived (1 p.m. vs. the usual 3 p.m.). The home is exactly as pictured. We especially appreciated the effort made to make room for us - including space in the refrigerator and cabinets as well as in all of the bedrooms and the two bathrooms. The house has an open floor plan and provided many places for us to gather and visit. Both the house and the yard are well tended and nicely decorated. We have just one suggestion for the owners. A ceiling fan in the lower bedroom would be nice. While we were in Boulder, the weather was very hot. The two upstairs bedrooms have fans and they made sleeping very comfortable. The lower bedroom has no fan and the windows provide very little breeze. The addition of a fan would make that room more comfortable. Overall, we had a great time in Boulder and really enjoyed our home away from home. We highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again!
