About this house rental
This lovely four bedroom home with fully renovated interior and outdoor spaces is perfect for family entertaining. Owners live here for much of the year and the property is available on a limited basis, mainly in the summer. City of Boulder Short-Term Rental License Number RHL2016-00026. Note language below about on-line booking.
Large upscale home (~2,800 sq ft) is located 2.5 blocks from Chautauqua Park and the majestic Boulder Flatirons. Ideal, quiet neighborhood furnished with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and all amenities. Open living space on main floor with beautiful kitchen/living room/dining room. 2 BR/1BA on main floor, 2 BR/2 BA on upper floor. Lower floor family room with custom HD flat screen entertainment center. Top floor deck with spectacular views of Flatirons. Main floor has perfect flow to back deck for indoor-outdoor entertaining. Large south-facing atrium entrance captures solar energy and bright light.
House is fully equipped with high-quality kitchen and linen supplies. Granite countertops, 10-person dining room table, breakfast bar for three, piano, and tasteful artwork. Fantastic restaurants and shopping nearby. On-demand movie streaming, Blu Ray DVD, & Bluetooth stereo system, but no cable TV. Plenty of reading material and wi-fi throughout the house.
Home is centrally located, approximately 12 blocks west of the University of Colorado but far enough away from campus to be peaceful and perfect for morning or evening walks. Traveling to Pearl Street Mall is about a 3 minute drive, 5 minute bike ride, or 15 minute walk. There is a self-contained English garden space with own entrance that may occasionally be occupied by owner (this space is in addition to the 2800 sq ft noted above). We are an active family who lives in the house for much of the year, but travel much of the summer and other select times during the year. The home is very well maintained and clutter free.
We live in a quiet neighborhood and prefer to rent to vacationers who will not have a negative impact on the neighbors. Specifically, that means the fewer automobiles the better, no large parties are allowed, and longer stays (over 3 days) are prioritized. The house can sleep up to 10, but we prefer to limit families to 8 and the number of vehicles to 2, or at most 3, in order to minimize impact on neighbors. According to Boulder regulations, no more than 5 unrelated people can rent the house; in other words any group of more than 5 should be related family.
We prefer to speak to vacationers in advance of booking and do not have instant on-line booking enabled. The reservation process is safe and streamlined.
30 minutes drive to Eldora Ski Resort, 2 hours to the major ski resorts (Vail, Copper, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge), and about 40 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park (Estes Park), Denver, Blackhawk Casino, and other fantastic Colorado destinations.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this welcoming home in the Chautauqua Park neighborhood. It was conveniently located near the hiking trails and also close to the “Hill” where we were moving our son back to the CU campus. Plenty of space to spread out and a beautiful backyard oasis. The house was very clean and had all of the amenities you would need. Communication with the owner was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

We loved this property. Perfectly located for trails, mountains, shopping, and the CU campus.

The house was perfect for us! Plenty of space and the backyard was perfect for kids. Walking distance to the foothills and the owner was very responsive and helpful.

The location is fabulous and the house has some excellent features. Overall grade is A- based on a few shortcomings. Gaining entrance was a piece of cake; however, we were not able to access the Wi-Fi. Called the manager and it seems that the website had not been updated. Not cool. And, speaking of not cool, the cooling system in the house was not operating properly and it was extremely hot in the house. To be fair, it was exceptionally hot in Boulder the week we were there. Other issues: windows could not be opened; screen on door to the patio was broken enabling insects to fly in. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had a few lovely and fun group meals. Additional dish towels are needed in the kitchen. There were only two. Trash and Recycling instructions were pretty clear. But, where was that compost bin? We looked and looked. The only thing we saw was an open mesh box that was filled with yard waste. We ended up disposing foodscraps in Trash. Not ideal. Bathrooms were OK (the one in the main BR was great). However, the towel situation was not adequate. Bath towels were few, old and and mismatched. Same for hand towels and wash cloths. A few were discovered by looking through all cabinets. Likewise, the bedding was awful. Didn't match, flannel sheets from winter (?), maybe not all clean. Ah, speaking of clean, the entire house could use a good cleaning. Not just dusty; house not clean. Having said all this, we did have a great time and the location was ideal!

We had family coming in from out of town and needed to find a local VRBO that could accommodate them. This property was perfect! 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus plenty of room for us to gather together with them there for meals and talking while the kids played on the trampoline or with some of the provided children's playthings. There are seating areas inside and outside. It is a lovely home, and we were very happy that we chose it.

We spent a wonderful week here for my son’s graduation. Everything went smoothly and the house was wonderful. Jeff was great to work with!

Clean, well organized house with spaces for both privacy and communal gathering. Very nice backyard with two covered sitting areas. The location is very convenient to the trails at Chautauqua and within walking distance of downtown. Our family had a very relaxing four days there and hopefully will return soon.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. We were in town for a wedding, and loved how close it was situated to the venue. The house was clean and comfortable and felt like being at home. There was plenty of space for our group of 7. We all loved the backyard space as a quiet place to relax after a hot day. Our host was very communicative prior to our arrival, so check in was very smooth.

This home was such a warm and comfortable space for my adult family of seven comfortable spaces to gather and retire, as needed. Truly felt like we were immediately welcome and at home for the week.
The host offered written notes and area recommendations which were valuable and most appreciated. Communication was excellent.
We did a fair amount of cooking and found the kitchen well appointed and logically organized. I am definitely experiencing pantry envy!!
Will book again when we return.

We were there for my daughters wedding. Jeff was very friendly and was available for questions through email and text. I think this is probably the best location we could have asked for. 3 blocks from Chataqua, short walk to Pearl street and a couple blocks from a coffee shop. The place was just as advertised! Thank you for a great stay!

This house was perfect for our visit to attend our son’s wedding.
There were seven of us and we all had plenty of room.
The location was great and the yard and patio were a plus. Sure beats staying in a hotel.

A very spacious house in an excellent location, walking distance to the beautiful Chautauqua Park and flatirons, downtown Pearl Street, Boulder Creek Path, restaurants and coffee shops. The backyard is nicely landscaped, a great place to gather, relax and entertain. Our host was very accommodating and responsive to our questions. We highly recommend it.

The home was a wonderful place to base our Boulder adventures and graduations celebrations from. The pictures were spot on -- the location incredible - and the backyard was perfect for grilling out and relaxing. The owner was very responsive. Check in was easy and communication smooth!

The house is walking distance to hiking trails up to the Flatirons on a quiet street with minimal traffic. We especially enjoyed the private outdoor space in the back with decent cover, although not entirely dry in a downpour. The owner responded to text messages immediately, and was staying in a separate basement unit, so was readily available. If you want to be in the middle of downtown so that you can stagger home from the bars at 2AM, this is not the place for you. But if you want to get up early on a warm summer day, walk out your door, and a few minutes later be hiking up a lovely trail, this is your place.

The house was spacious, with a wonderful covered patio. There was also ample garden seating to gather for cocktails & dinners. Chautauqua Park is blocks away as is the creek bikeway. In a word…splendid!

The house was even more spacious than it looked online. It had every amenity you can ask for. We spent one evening cooking in and the kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils, etc. The house is well positioned for walking into town and the neighborhood is very quiet. The backyard is private and has a nice porch and comfortable furniture for hanging out on. Thank you Jeff for the rental!

We very much enjoyed the house and University Hill neighborhood in Boulder. The house was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The backyard was espcially appreciated by two young children and the adults loved the outdoor seating area. The house was convenient to the University, to Pearl Street and shops along the way, as well as green space and parks. The Chattaugua area nearby is a lovely place to hike.

Our multigenerational family stayed here for a wedding at the Chattaqua park, which is a 15 minute walk away. Shops and restaurants are a 20 minute walk away. This is a lovely quiet, older neighborhood. The house is very spacious. We love to cook and found the kitchen to be extremely well equipped. Beds were comfortable. The fenced backyard is beautiful. Jeff is a very responsive and helpful host.

This home was perfect for our needs of hosting adult children and siblings for a family wedding. Plenty of space and a stunning view from the MBR and upstairs balcony. The patio table allowed us to gather a few extra family members safely for meals. The home has a lived-in feel, which makes it a little more relaxing than the show-room type house.

This place was perfect for our group of 4 coworkers. The home owner was very easy to work with an gave us a lot of Information about the house and the area before we arrived so we were prepared. It's a very comfortable home and I would highly recommend it!

Home is as described - clean, well stocked, great location for hiking and getting to downtown boulder. Home is very comfortable and it is both easy to hang out together and get our own space in the bedrooms. Jeff is an outstanding host.

Hiking every morning just 2 blocks away was a spectacular feature. Jeff was kind, understanding and so very helpful! Our family felt right at home. Walking distance to our college daughter’s home ! Beautiful area of Boulder.

This house is obviously a well cared for home. The kitchen is very well appointed (I am picky), the fridge was spotless (again, picky). The beds and bedrooms cozy and comfortable. The garden is great for socializing, the huge trampoline a fun bonus. The TV room (no cable but you can hook up your own devices to get what you need) is a great hang room, lots of cozy blankets and pillows, and the location couldn't be better -- very near excellent hiking and downtown Boulder. Would definitely come back!

Jeff was a fantastic communicator.

This is beautiful, spacious and comfortable home very close to Chautauqua Park and the Flatirons. Jeff was extremely responsive when the refrigerator broke; it was up and running again in a short time, so we were able to cook in the lovely kitchen.

Let me just start by saying that this house is amazing! The layout is designed to be relaxing and comfortable. The place was absolutely spotless. Unlike many VRBO's, there are food supplies and toiletries provided. The beds are amazing and there are 3 bathrooms with showers. The deck and grill are perfect. Honestly, can't say enough. Then, there's the location. It's right by Chataqua Park (which we didn't even know!), Pearl Street is walkable and there's actually parking!
I would definitely stay here again.

This location is a downhill 15 minute walk from downtown Pearl Street! My family was able to spread out throughout the main level and basement (we had 8 people).
Very clean, comfortable rooms/beds, and a relaxing back patio made this place perfect! Jeff was so easy to work with and very informative! I would highly recommend staying in this WONDERFUL home!!

Spent 3 nights in June, 2016 with business friends for the weekend. The property is in excellent shape and was very comfortable. Plenty of space to hang out and a nice quiet back yard and in a quiet neighborhood. Grilling was easy and close to the kitchen. Large kitchen area and spacious dining. Two of us are hikers and did Sanitas twice early in the morning. Chautauqua Park is very close by and offers great hiking too. Close to Pear street and far enough from CU but we were there after school was out for summer. No one had any complaints about the location or accommodations. I recommend it for a small group of friends, girls weekend, or a family or two.
