About this apartment rental
Very small (under 400 sq ft) & cozy 1 bedroom located in the heart of San Diego's most famous beach community. Just steps to Mission Bay, the beach, the Boardwalk and Belmont Park, Only 1.5 blocks to the beach, and only two doors from the Bay! Only has 1 queen bed and a very small sofa for a small child.
Please note, this is literally the center of Mission Beach, less than a block from Belmont Park, which is great, but expect a lot of people, noise and possibly traffic congestion especially during spring & summer.
This home is a tastefully designed one-bedroom with a full kitchen that can sleep three. Our beach cottage features a queen-sized bed and a couch. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, and amenities include free parking, free Wi-Fi, and Apple TV.
Photos were taken in 2015. Please expect normal wear and tear over that time period. Furniture and furnishings may be different than pictured as items are replaced and updated.

Great experience and steps away from the beach

If you're wanting something close to the beach with dedicated parking, it's the spot. You can save so much money and time by staying here because parking in any of the beach areas is a huge pain. We left our truck and walked everywhere. The park, the beach, the Mission, pizza, Mexican food, Starbucks, everything you want is within walking distance. The patio is big. The unit is very small but workable for two people. The bed was clean and the linens were soft. We didn't use the WiFi or TVs or kitchen but it was all available. The shower has good water pressure and there was shampoo and conditioner and body wash. Access was simple. Neighbors were quiet the area was safe. We slept with the windows and doors all open with no issues. The street is very noisy at night but expected considering the location.

Great location. Right next to the beach.

The good: location was walking distance to the bay and eatery’s which was perfect not having to drive too much. Outdoor patio was spacious enough to have our meals. Kitchen is a good size and packed with spices and things you’d normally forget to bring with you. Couch is different as pictured (not a futon) but still pretty comfy for a night or two.
The bad: There were old food items left in the fridge from prior guests and dirty silverware. Not very clean. Everything was sticky from counter tops to remote controls. Fans provided were full of dust and hair so I took 1 of them out to the wash area to clean up with a rag before use. Neighbor to the left of wash area was very rude and snarky for no reason. Towels and rugs were mixed matched, stained and had a funny smell to them so we spent as much time on the patio as possible and purchased febreeze from a local store.
Overall would stay again if the cleaning company that provides their services to the host steps up their quality in cleanliness. Place has potential.

10/10 Everything, thank you for letting us stay in your amazing home steps from the beach! Amazing location, stayed for a week and my teenager (17 y/o) slept on the couch comfortably. Phenomenal host helped us get another key minutes after we lost ours. Very comfortable space with nice outdoor space. Had everything we needed. Thank you very much for this amazing week getaway. Looking forward to staying here again some day!

The property was in a convenient location to the beach and restaurants! Small but comfortable.

Really great communication with manager and he was very attentive to my needs.
The bed was broken upon arrival and the sheets did not appear to be fresh. Next day he came and fixed the bed and provided new sheets for me to use. Kitchen and bathroom are sufficient.
This spot was very convenient for my conference at the Bahia resort and a much more affordable option. I was there on Memorial Day weekend, and although the bedroom faces the street, it was not overly noisy.

We loved our "San Diego home" away from home. The location is great, the host is responsive, the place is small but clean with all the kitchen setup you need for an extended stay.
I only have two small suggestions for the property description. It cannot sleep 3 so I suggest that it is changed to sleeps 2 or 2.5. Also (and this is very minor), the "front door" is on the right side of the property, which confused me and made it harder to find the lockbox for the key. These are minor points, overall I give the owner high marks for responsiveness and being a great host.
Although California struggles with homelessness, which you will see all over the city as you explore, we did not have any security concerns. We felt safe in the apartment. I say this as a senior citizen woman traveling with my adult autistic son.
The owner has put a lot of thought into providing what is needed for a comfortable stay.

This was the perfect property for access in the Mission Bay Area! One block from the ocean, the bay, Belmont Amusement Park and more. Easy access to numerous shops and restaurants. The house was clean with a nice covered patio, equipped with everything you need and good parking. Communication with the owner was easy and they gave us all of the needed information ahead of time. We look forward to visiting the area again and will definitely stay at this property!

Just a quick couple nights before we go see our grandkid and Yuma. pretty good location. All is good

The accuracy of the pics of the interior was spot on. The misleading part was the location of the building in relation to the neighboring buildings. Upon arrival, I got a bad feeling about my stay due to how the surrounding area looked. Also, the building being right off the main drag had me deeling concerned about noise. However, once inside, the experience was nice. I wouldn't call it a 5 star experience, but it was nice for the price.

My wife and I flew in from Oklahoma for a quick few days ,family function to attend on Mission Beach. The property was perfect for just the two of us. It was very quiet, clean and in a very convenient location. 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from Sea World, Great food places, entertainment, shopping and beach in very close walking distance.

The apartment was very run down. Stains on the couch, sticky dirty cabinets in kitchen.

After a drop at the apartment from Uber, we enjoyed the ability to walk everywhere we needed for our three day beach getaway. Mission beach was only a block away, as was the bay. There are too many restaurants to list that were very close , and convenience and liquor stores with basics for a couple of days. We loved the diverse neighborhood and energy. We had access to a couple of folding chairs, an umbrella in the building's outside storage, lots of sand toys, too. Nice for our days on the beach.

Perfect for a quick beach vacation
This small unit was great for my little family's vacation. It is very small, but has everything needed. The location is excellent and the assigned parking spot is just great.

Convenient location
Unit is small but adequate for 2 adults. Location is convenient to a ton of the Mission Bay attractions. No beach views only a view of the street, fyi. Overall, I would recommend this property for long weekend adult getaways.

Great location!!
Really enjoyed our stay at this little place. Perfect place for two people who want to enjoy Mission Beach/Bay. Awesome location to get to key attractions and a Starbucks is just steps away. We would stay here again. Drew (host) was awesome and took the time to answer a couple of questions. Tricky to find the right bit but once you do it’s a very easy check-in process.

Perfect for small family
We have a 7 year old and a 1 year old so the space is perfect. It is small but if you plan to beach all day, then it is perfect. This unit has a parking space. Great location that is walking distance to most anything. It is older but still well maintained. 7 year old slept on couch. It does need a new fan, a stand up one would make a huge difference. We would stay here again. Thank you!!

Cute little place in the perfect location
This place was the perfect little spot for me and the kids. Located in the middle of everything. The beach was super close! The property owners were quick to respond to questions that I had and we look forward to visiting again

This place was close to everything as described and was almost perfect for our family with beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys and beach chairs provided. The only thing that didn’t work well for us was sleeping accommodations. It is no longer a futon as pictured in the original pictures and was replaced with a narrow couch. As a result, our 4 year old daughter kept rolling off of it in the middle of the night as it is pretty narrow. This really should be advertised as an accommodation for 2 and a baby that can still sleep in a pack n play. An older kid would not be able to sleep on this couch either. Also, the queen bed is firm. Overall, this place was amazing for what we wanted in proximity to activities. The kitchen is full of all needed items as well including seasonings and cooking oil.

Overall great, some maintenance issues
Most everything was great. The bathroom did gross me out. The shower soaks the floor and the vanity is water damaged and covered in mold. The bedroom door also did not shut, but that wasn’t a big deal. Overall enjoyed our stay but that bathroom needs some attention.

Mission Beach stay
Everything was great except getting the TV to work. We contacted the manager but still couldn't get the apple tv system to work so we gave up. The beach was better than watching TV anyway. Overall the place was great. :)

Best Little Condo Ever!!
First off - owner communication is TOP NOTCH! They were super responsive to our texts, answering all our questions and were amazingly helpful! Thank you again!! We love you and can’t wait to come back.
The unit is adorable and could not be better placed for fun times, great food and awesome beach vibes. We needed to be able to cook for ourselves, and the kitchen was perfectly serviceable. We enjoyed dining on the porch almost every meal! With TWO parking spaces, we could even have guests (friends who live downtown) over for food and board games.
I was in town for work and the lightning fast WiFi was a huge boon, even with a half dozen devices hooked up to it.
There are other units in the building. We were there a whole week and sometimes our “neighbors” were quiet and sometimes they were boisterous! This condo is truly in the heart of the Mission Bay Area and the energy is exciting.
Keep in mind - you are literally kitty-corner from the roller coaster at Belmont, haha! With the windows open, you’ll hear whoops and cheers of the crowd. Enjoy the vibe, flip on the fan or bring earplugs. You’re also ONLY a block from Sandbar - BEST tacos in San Diego, and sunsets that look like Mother Nature painted them herself. It’s all right there for you to walk out your door and enjoy.
One unexpected thing : Mission Bay is crawling with those crazy rental scooters (Bird, Lime, etc) Ride at your own risk and WATCH OUT FOR THEM if you are driving or pulling out of the unit’s tandem parking space. Just go slow and be cautious.

Location, location, location!
The property location could not be beat. We were walking distance from some great bars and restaurants and the beach. The unit is extremely small but for us it was just a place to lay our heads. One complaint was that the neighbor was doing some remodeling and started jack hammering at about 7:00 AM.

Was not very happy
The condo very cozy it was very loud there was some boys staying upstairs kept me awake the whole time playing loud music morning until 3 o’clock in the morning you could hear them walking around upstairs and I had to get on my bed at 12 o’clock to go up there and tell him to turn the music off . I Was not happy with my staying this time

Cute place
The location is amazing. We could see and hear the roller coaster at Belmont Park. The patio was very nice to hang out on. Not sure I would recommend for kids, but definitely awesome for a couple. Very small, but with its location, you'll be out a lot.
