This comfortable family friendly home is directly across street from the beach.
Beautiful, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths fully furnished just 100 steps across from a beach access. This property sleeps 8. Beds consist of a queen in master bedroom, a queen in 2nd bedroom, double bunk beds in third bedroom. Large decks with outdoor furniture, table and umbrella. All three bedrooms are downstairs. Upstairs has open floor plan with kitchen, living and dining areas and half bath. Amazon Prime Video on all Smart TVs. Wi-Fi throughout. Under the house is a shower with hot and cold water, hose, picnic table, two comfortable chairs and grill. All linens, towels, pillows, mattress toppers are top of the line. We offer the use of boogie boards of various sizes. A 60 quart rolling cooler is also provided. We have beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach. There are beach towels located above washer. There is also a baby/pet gate and high chair and portable crib with sheets for use located in bunk bed room in the closet. There is an Echo Dot upstairs and in downstairs foyer so you can check in with Alexa and listen to music.
While smoking is allowed, it is not allowed anywhere other than under the house. Never from the decks. Disposal of cigarette butts in the ashtray provided, not in the driveway.
Kenneth Batts Park is just a little over a mile north. Enjoy playground, picnic tables, basketball court and marsh walk. Please see photos. Southsound Park is along the Intracoastal and offers a playground, picnic tables, lots of open area to walk along the water.
This home is on the beach but it is a great romantic getaway anytime during the year and great for holidays.

The house was very clean. We had our family for a beach vacation and the house was a great location and had everything we needed. communication with owner was good and we had all the details needed for our trip. Kitchen was stocked and had towels, linens needed which was so nice not to have ti bring so much like other rentals we had had in the past. Highly recommend! with the

This house is perfect for a quiet, beach getaway! Great location, easy and quick walk to the beach, the house has everything you need and more, plenty of room, super clean, easy check-in process, located close to plenty of shops and places to eat, plenty of parking and outdoor space. Only minor issue we had was that the dryer did not dry our clothes well and took a couple cycles for things to fully dry but we only needed to wash a few things so this was minor! We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend!

The property is quite comfortable, from the couches in the living room to the queen beds. There is a TV for your viewing wherever you find yourself. There is lots to do just a short drive from this property: restaurants (Low Tide Steak House was our favorite; also Beach Shop and Grill), miniature golf, art galleries, gift shops with delicious chocolate. Kristin is a wonderful host and was readily available to answer any questions we had.

Great experience. We got exactly what we were hoping for when we booked: A very short walk to the beach, a home large enough for two small families, and no surprises or issues. It was a wonderful week. We would book this place again in a heartbeat.

We love staying at Kona Winds. This year was our fifth year there. We love the seclusion provided by the trees. The house is always clean and the size provides enough space for our family. The chair with the lamp is great for crafting and reading. The kitchen is great because we cook alot.The beach equipment provided in the storage room outside is always useful to us. I have been vacationing on Topsail Island for 27 years and this is our favorite house to stay in.

The home was beautiful and clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and linens were all provided. We had our family of 6 with kids ranging from 4-19. We all enjoyed the nature surrounding the home as it was one of the few that still had wooded features surrounding. Beach access was super close and easy to get to. We would definitely book again for a Surf City vacation!

We absolutely love this home. It was exceptionally clean. Kristin and Tim supply you with everything you could possibly need. It has a fully stocked kitchen and a nice variety of spices. The bathrooms have fresh towels ready for you. The bedrooms have nice bed linens and the beds are extremely comfortable. The living room furniture is very comfortable with plenty of seating and a nice big dining room table for family meals. You are nestled back in the trees and setting on the upper deck makes you feel like you are in a tree house. There is a picnic table under the house with additional seating. The outdoor shower is very nice when coming back from the beach. The public access is just across the street .. it's a very short walk with a sandy walkway leading to stairs down to the beach and soft sand at the bottom. Down in the storage room Kristin and Tim supply a variety of beach toys, chairs, large cooler. Beach towels are above the washer and dryer. It is very close to downtown Surf City and if your looking for a place that serves great food you have to try High Waters. The girls there are the best and the chef is great. Kristin was a pleasure to work with and I can't say enough good things about this home. We hope you and your family enjoy your stay as much as we did. It truly made for a great vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great house. The hostess was very good about keeping in touch when we had a question. Every thing we needed was there when we arrived. It was just steps to the beach. The house was comfy and a great location, only 5 minutes from Surf City. We will definitely visit again.

This place was built for a family vacation at the beach. The outdoor shower was amazing and helped soooo much with sand control! The beds were comfy. The house well laid out. I cannot say enough good things but I hesitate to recommend it for fear we won’t be able to book it! Just kidding…this place is awesome!!!

We loved this place! It was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. We were glad we didn’t have to walk too far to the beach. We loved the picnic table under the porch where we could hang out. Our labordoodle Maggie dog loved it too! This was our first time to Surf City and we hope to come again.

We had a great time at the beach house. The location was easily the best part. The property was clean and well stocked so we didn’t have to bring beach equipment. We loved the downstairs area and outside shower as well. Would definitely recommend!

Another Great Week
Very nice and well maintained house. Well stocked kitchen and lots of beach items available for use. Been staying at this house for several years and every year that we return there has been some upgrades made. Enjoyed our visit and have already made our reservations for next year. Homeowners are very easy to work with and very accommodating.

Wonderful property
This property was definitely on point. It was extremely clean and very well maintained. Amenities supplied by owner were above and beyond other properties we have rented. Location is close to restaurants and shopping but just enough of a distance for privacy. Beach access was just across the street and an easy walk for my 72 year old mother. We would rent this property again.

Lovely Beach House
This is a great beach house to stay at -- fully stocked, even with towels and linens, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Beds are super comfy. Beautiful interior. Very clean. Conveniently located almost directly across from the public access to the beach. This is a place we would definitely stay at again!

Great house and location!!
We had a wonderful stay. The house is described perfectly and so comfortable. The host provides extras that weren’t expected but makes the trip so much easier. The dogs enjoyed their stay and the beach couldn’t me any easier to get to. Oh and the house was extra clean. Can’t wait to stay again!

Fabulous!
This house was just what we needed for our family of five + my parents!! The beach is literally a 2 minute walk away and the decks are great. It was wonderful to have so many amenities (coloring books, puzzles, tvs in every room, travel crib etc) and staples already in the house. It was our first time visiting Surf City and the drive from Raleigh was so quick. The upstairs bathroom was big enough that we decided to put the travel crib in there so the baby had her own “room”. We loved the outdoor shower and it is always a huge bonus for us when towels and linens are provided. Thank you for making this such an easy trip for us! We’d love to stay again!

Family Vacation
Our family enjoyed staying at this house. Check in was very easy and we had good communication with the owners. The owners contacted me prior to our stay about a towel bar coming down and a leak. They went to the house and fixed the issues right away before we arrived. Location was great and located near a public access. Privacy was nice as the property was surrounded by trees. We loved the Surf City area. We hope to stay here again!

Spring Beach Vacation
This was a lovely little island home, just one house down from a public beach access. There the bedrooms are suprisingly spacious given the size of the property. There are plenty of bedding and towels, etc. This property in particular felt more private that some others nearby due to the greenery grown up around it. It is also a very short drive to several local eateries and shops, and would be an easy bike ride if you are inclined. Communication from the owner was prompt and easy. Especially this seems suited for families with kids or tweens given the toys in the shed and nearby beach access.

Comfortable, great location
This was a great house for us, our two kids, and another family with one child. The kids are ages 10-11 and had a great time. I appreciated that the house is dog-friendly. The layout worked very well for a group of 7 for a 5-day trip. The beach is a one-min. walk away, if that, which was perfect. The owners provided very generous access to their beach supplies, including towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc., which was extremely convenient. There were also many other kinds of supplies that made it an easy place to stay. The kitchen/living room floor was very comfortable. The bedrooms have nice airflow and fans. I needed to use the internet for work and it was very fast and stable. All in all, this was a great option and we would gladly come back. The only negative I can think of, and it is really just my personal preference, is that I am used to cotton sheets and this home uses another type, maybe something synthetic. This felt hot to me even though the rooms were cool. If we are able to return, I would simply bring a set of sheets. Not a big deal in any way and definitely just my own preference. The location is perfect and there are lots of good grocery stores, restaurants, doughnut shop, etc. close by. Highly recommended!

Great location, great house
This house was perfect for our trip as we wanted something close to beach access. Public access point is a couple minutes walk away and a great beach location (not over crowded and good waves for body boarding). The house has several body boards to use along with a beach umbrella, cooler, beach toys, etc. which was very convenient. We appreciated that this house sits back from the road and has a lot of tree cover around it since it's on the main road which tends to be very busy.
