About this house rental
Beautiful, contemporary loft townhouse in the historic East Hill neighborhood across from a large passive park with tot lot. It sleeps up to six in beds, and a pack & play crib. The maximum number of guests is 6, over 4 guests there is an additional $10 rent per person per night for the 5th or 6th guest. The spacious 2012 Loft Townhouse has impressive 20' high vaulted ceilings and 8' tall doors. Master suite is downstairs with new memory foam king size bed and luxurious bath which includes large shower with no curb for wheelchair access. Most doorways downstairs are 36" inches wide. It provides universal handicapped access to most areas downstairs.
The property is close to everything! Normally, about a fifteen to twenty minute drive to beautiful Pensacola Beach! Ten minutes to historic downtown Pensacola and the Blue Wahoo's stadium. Twenty minutes to the front gate of Pensacola's Naval Air Station, Corry Station, Pensacola International Airport or the Cordova Mall.
All 3 TV's are Smart, HD and large size. WIFI is excellent speed for streaming your own choice of programs.
The 2012 Loft Townhouse is next door to our other rental property, The 1928 Tudor (HomeAway or VRBO #423357). The two are perfect for a larger group if you can rent both places. Just plan in advance.
Wheelchair accessible downstairs. Master suite downstairs with large 'no curb' shower. Most doors downstairs are at least 36' wide. Large great room open to beautiful contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar. Private courtyard out back with patio table & chairs and a real brick BBQ pit. There are 3 outdoor cameras for security.
Upstairs the loft bedroom sleeps four with a queen bed and daybed with trundle (two twin beds). It is a large room looking down onto living area of the townhouse.

The property is in great location. Close to the beach, downtown and family friendly restaurants. My little ones really enjoyed the park across the street.

This is a great place! Very modern, homey, accommodating. The main floor contains entry way, living area, great kitchen and dining room. Also there is the master bedroom with master bath. All extremely well done. There is also another full bath on the main floor. Upstairs is a lift with one or two beds - can’t remember. Nice backyard with tables and chairs and lights. Definitely would recommend. Thx. Tim.

We had a pleasant stay. The accommodations were clean and all supplies (shampoo, soap, beach towels, coffee) were provided. The location is perfect. Close to the beach and East Hill restaurants. Hosts are very nice and pleasant.
We did have a few concerns:
-There was no hot tub as advertised. It’s a bathtub with jets.
- The master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. We didn’t mind at first since the owners are selling the home and figured they would not buy a new mattress for a place they were selling. However after reading the reviews in their guest book, guests have been commenting on the poor quality of the mattress since 2020.
- Owners had a garage sale while we were staying at the home. They informed us of this the day we checked in. The owners did ask us multiple times if it was ok to have the garage sale, and we felt like we were put in a position where we could not say no. The right thing would have been to let us know about the garage sale a few weeks before our arrival. It was just weird to have a garage sale right outside our door.

Loved staying here! It was a nice, quiet place to stay. It was convenient to everything I needed. Owners are great! I do hope it will be available next year when I come up to Pensacola again.

We absolutely loved the house. It is very accessible for anyone traveling in a wheelchair. The property is very clean and furnished. It had everything we needed during our stay. The location is great being close to all the local necessities.
We highly recommend this rental! If we are ever back in Pensacola we would love to rebook!

Overall, the property was perfect for us and especially Jessica's grandpa. The hosts were awesome and extremely hospitable. The property was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting in the back garden in the mornings and evenings. The community was beautiful, family-oriented, and close to EVERYTHING!!!
I think the only thing anyone had issues with were the mattresses needing replaced.
We would easily give Ms. Margaret and this property 5⭐

Margaret was a great host. Her communication was awesome! The house had everything that we needed for our trip including beach towels so, no need to pack those. The house was in a quiet neighborhood with many restaurants and a great grocery store minutes away. We would totally rent there again!

The townhouse was perfect for my family of 5. Margaret was very accommodating and helpful. Cute little patio outback with plenty of privacy. Location was close to beach, restaurants, and other things to do.

This was the perfect spot for a stay in Pensacola. Close to the beaches, parks and restaurants. The townhouse was very modern with a cute bedroom loft. Stocked with everything needed to enjoy your stay. The outdoor area was peaceful and relaxing. Rented with the Tudor house next door provides plenty of space for extended family get togethers. We look forward to staying here for future visits to this area.

We stayed 3 weeks in the townhouse for the birth of our 8th grand baby. Spouse is handicapped and the accommodations were handy. Location was great to the park, beach, and grocery. Comfortable and clean. If looking for a place that almost feel like home look no further! Host super informative and and quick to respond to your needs. Thanks

The home is situated in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It is close to the Vince J. Whibbs Sr. Community Maritime Park, which is approximately a 10-minute drive from the property, and 20 minutes from Pensacola beach. The property owner, Margaret, made the check-in process very easy, and she was quick to respond to any of our questions.
The home was clean, there were ample amounts of bath and beach towels, and the kitchen had all the utensils for cooking and barbecuing. In fact, I brought my own barbecue utensils, which I found were not needed.
My only recommendation is to label the electrical switches in the den and kitchen because they were very confusing.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay at this property. My friends and I would love to stay at the property again if it is available whenever I/we visit Pensacola.

This was our first time to pensacola; traveling with a 19mo old and 6 year old so we wanted to be central to the beach and downtown. This was a perfect location along with the park across tye street and everything we needed in the house itself. We bought groceries but didn't have to buy much more, the place was pretty well stocked! Also, the loft upstairs was a huge hit with our 6 year old. We loved the jacuzzi! Old negative comment would be more personal preferences: master room: very bright in the morning maybe some black out curtains would be nice! And the bed, we are used to a more firm bed, this bed was very soft and kinda sinks jn the middle. Otherwise. Everything else was perfect for a family of 4! Also, the communication was great.

An eventful stay and recommendations
Check-in was great and very informative. The neighborhood seemed to be in a good location. The town home was spacious, but the spiral staircase in my opinion not for full size adults lol. My adult Daughter's and Granddaughter shared that space. I went up/down the staircase once, and seemed like it could have been tightened more. I wasn't afraid I would fall, just a little wiggly. Overall place was clean, but I would recommend once a month to do a deep clean to get cob-webs off ceilings, and ceiling fans. Also you might want to get hot shot no mess fogger, as we noticed there were about 2 or 3 gnats or some type of drain flies in kitchen area. Also there is something called gentrol, sold at DIY pest stores good for drain flies. I wasn't 100% sure of the type.
The book on the table tells you all about the property, and what's in the area.
While we were there we had two power outages. Thank goodness, I brought a 3 strip surge protector. I would also suggest to removed all extension cords, and replace with surge protectors, and for all direct TV boxes and TV's to purchase APC battery backup surge protectors. It seemed as if this area is prone to power outages. Just talking to the neighbors, and the fact I plugged my electric toothbrush in when I got there, and it was not on full charge the next morning. I also noticed the GFI plug it was plugged into was tripped, which happened again when the power went out. This all happened on 7/11/2022. I called several times, and number went straight to voicemail. My youngest Daughter called, and got an answer. Initially lightening had struck a street light across the street. The power company repaired the light, and later the transformer blew out and we were out of power again. I informed Margaret via text that there was no power on the the Direct TV box and TV wouldn't come on. I didn't get a response that night. The next day we decided to go to the beach early, and my youngest daughter had to work. She called us as she was frightened by Kelly coming to wait for a delivery and check on TV. I was literally running in beach sand to get to the vehicle to get to my Daughter, and then I realized she's going to be taken lol. Kelly and Margaret apologized and laughed at my reference to the movie taken. I would recommend this place, but I also hope they take my recommendations into consideration. The extension cords need to be removed ASAP to prevent further electrical damage to devices.

Not what I expected
This property need some serious maintenance.. When we arrived
The pathway in the back yard was totally covered in black mold, the so called grill was filthy and not usable. Black mold in the master bath shower, when we tried to use the jetted tube, black mold shot out of all the jets, disgusting. The mattresses on the bed need to be replaced years ago, I had a back ache every morning, very disappointing and I would not recommend this rental to anyone.. I do have pics and video to back my review up..

Our family of 5 stayed here for a short vacation. This is our third trip to Pensacola in the last 5 years, and second staying in these folks VRBO properties. They are excellent! The house was great, very clean and spacious. Beautiful neighborhood. Close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Property owner was personable and informative during the booking and arrival process. Loved the East Hill area. Close to everything and great for taking walks.
The property was clean and met and our needs. My only suggestion would be that the king bed is probably in need of replacing as it was not very supportive and rather squeaky.

Not only was this place priced right, it was also better than any 5 star hotel room I have stayed in. For starters, the owner, Margaret, was very polite and easy to communicate with. Once we got inside, it felt as if we were house watching for a friend or family member. The property was clean, had enough space for myself and three kids, ages 10, 17 and 20. Having coffee in the morning outside on the patio, listening to the birds was a great way to start the day. The neighborhood is very quiet, the park across the street is safe. The property is only about five minutes from the Publix grocery store. I am definitely going to rent this again when I go back to Pensacola and I would highly recommend you do the same. It comfortably sleeps five. The king size bed was appreciated after a two day drive from Wisconsin!

I enjoyed my stay at the loft. It's a lovely space. Would definitely recommend it. (But know the loft is accessed by a very narrow spiral staircase, so the person sleeping upstairs needs to be able to navigate that. )
