About this cottage rental
1600 square foot 3 bed 1 bath year round cottage on a beautiful smaller lake that is great for fishing and swimming! Cottage has no stairs inside or out and has a great sandy beach with sunny exposure. Cottage is fully equipped and includes laundry, satellite, BBQ, camp fire pit, microwave, stove, coffee pot, swim raft, paddle boat, canoe, row boat, and a dock. We do have wifi. We have no A/C but each room has a ceiling fan. Cottage is 15 min south of Parry Sound and 5 min drive from Gordon Bay Marina and Lake Joe's boat launch.

Beautiful cottage with great access to water for swimming, paddle boating, paddle boards etc. Beautiful lake views at night. Interesting watching the planes coming in and out overhead. Nice calm lake and warm for swimming. Had a nice stay and would recommend.

Beautiful location with lots of outdoor activities perfectly suited to our active adult children. Cottage was very welcoming, well equipped and spacious. The lake was warm and peaceful and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets.

This cottage had everything we needed. The additional apartment upstairs with additional deck was a bonus. The commercial kitchen was awesome ! We were thankful for air conditioning on Saturday, as it was smokin hot outside .
There was a lot of room for our big family and we loved having the kids play area in the front yard.
A beautiful spot on the water … hidden away from the business of life. We quite enjoyed being off the beaten path and soaked in the quiet over the weekend .
We loved waking up on the water and having the opportunity to play pool, ping pong and badminton, Marla and Sherri were easy to get ahold in the case we had any questions or concerns during our stay.

We were so happy with the cottage and property. Lots of space and comfortable furnishings. The lake is beautiful and the Sept scenery was gorgeous. We swam, fished and used the paddle boards and enjoyed bonfires each nights. Mother Nature gave use extra nice weather. Our visit could not have been more perfect. This cottage was the perfect place to land and re-group after our drive across Canada. It is clean and comfortable, the lake is warm and inviting and we had afternoon naps every day. Also, the sunsets are AMAZING. Would definitely recommend for a getaway.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The place was clean had plenty of amenities for cooking, relaxing, playing and enjoying the outdoors. The time it did rain we had lots of games and puzzles and TV to watch. The teens really enjoyed the paddle boards and the fishing was fantastic for them, we even had a feed for the 7 of us one night. Row boat was great but could use some new paddles as the ones there were mismatched and hard to use. I even got on the paddle board for the first time ever and I am 69. Overall the short trip to Parry Sound for what bits we needed worked out just fine.

We went for a few days for a family trip. It was amazing. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed, the views were great. There were a couple mentions of being too close to neighbours, but it’s a small cottage community area, and it felt very safe and friendly to me. The amenities were great. We’d be glad to return back!!

Such a Beautiful Experience!
From the moment you parked the car you could instantly see the lake from the backyard. And it was absolutely beautiful !. There were chairs to enjoy the view and nice weather the days we stayed. The inside of the cottage was very clean and beautiful. There was a fire pit outside as well which we took full advantage of. They provided us with the wood and all so that was very nice of them. There’s a swing on the tree which the kids really loved! I really have no complains from this experience. Everything was a 10/10. From the kids to the adults we all enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family!!

Beautiful lake view
We had a wonderful stay at the beginning of June. The water front is very close to the cottage. When you are in the living room it almost feels like you are on the water because the cottage is that close to the water. The water was clear. There is a nice dock and a beach shore.
We spent a lot of time hanging out in the living room because of the spectacular lake view. There is lots of sunlight during the day the night begins with a beautiful sunset.
The kitchen is very well equipped and we had many memorable meals there.
It was a very nice stay. Will definitely return!

Family Get Together
Enjoyable stay with family, some not seen since start of the pandemic. Second visit to this cottage in 60 days. Hoping to return next September. A true cottage experience right on the water with very gracious hosts. Can’t wait to return.

Cottage Life
The cottage was fairly large and airy. Great views of the lake from the dining room and the sitting room. It was very well-equipped. We lacked for nothing.
I would suggest that the owners replace the two kitchen sink drain plugs. They were very difficult to get out. Also in their booklet of directions for the cottage use there should be more specific directions on how to use the fireplace and the heating system.

Fun was had by all!
We just spent the week at this cottage and had an amazing time. The cottage was clean, cozy, well maintained and was very well stocked with everything you could need. Location was perfect. The kids had a great time swimming and paddling in the lake and lots of great fishing for my husband and son. You are right next to the neighbors on one side but I still felt we had lots of privacy and we rarely saw anyone else. We genuinely enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Caitlin and Peter for sharing your gem with us.

GREAT FAMILY COTTAGE
Wonderful time at a lovely cottage. Something for every age. Sandy beach for our young granddaughter, floating raft, paddle boat and canoe for the older kids. Caitlin and Peter accommodating hosts. Definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a great, reasonably priced getaway.

Beautiful place
Me and my friends had a wonderful weekend at Dickson's cottage. The cottage is cozy, clean, fully equipped with everything you need, perfectly situated on a beautiful lake. Swimming and fishing there is great.

Family celebration with golf
Quintessential Muskoka cottage experience. Close to Parry Sound and top quality golf courses. If golf is not your thing there lots of trail heads close by for hiking .
The Cottage has everything you need for meal preparation and a good night sleep. Lots of space to spread out for rainy day activities.
The dock and lake front are great for swimmers and non- swimmers. The sunsets are beautiful from the comfy dock located Muskoka chairs. Keep an eye out for the local herons , woodpeckers, pheasants and owls.
Our dog was kept busy watching out for friendly chipmunks.

We stayed here for 4 days of the Labour Day weekend and had an amazing time. Easily the best rental we have all been to.
It was a beautiful cottage inside and out and was well equipped with all the cookware you need to make delicious meal and water equipment to enjoy the lake. There is a dock, a swimming platform and the entrance to the water is sandy and perfect for children.
The outdoor space was perfect for our group which included an infant under the age of 2, 2 couples and a small dog. We all had room to relax and unwind without being cramped together.
The neighbours on the left are close by but in no way disruptive and there are no neighbours to the right.
Can't wait to book this cottage again!

Not as secluded but great waterfront property!
Overall the interior of the cottage was great except a few appliances need to be replaced ie: bbq and coffee maker, the outside is a little rundown but gives you that cottage feel. There was a previous review made from a guest that they didn’t feel as secluded and felt like they were being watched and we agree on that. It’s the first cottage of the road but no privacy with next door neighbors. The lake is beautiful with great views and sunsets and great for swimming and fishing. Overall was a quiet spot.
