Salty Dogs is located across from the beach just three houses in on the first block of East Ruskin St. and a one block walk to the Seaside Amphitheater. This happy cottage has a third-floor tower room with spectacular gulf views and a large open wrap-around porch. The wrap-around porch is furnished with a dining table for four and several Adirondack rockers for relaxing after a day at the beach.
The first floor includes the fully equipped kitchen, offering a built-in breakfast bar area with additional seating for four. Off the kitchen is the large open living room and and rear exit to the back yard with Adirondack seating off the grill area. The open dining room has a built-in window bench and dining table that comfortably seats six. The open living room has a large flat-screen TV across from the kitchen and dining, a perfect open floor plan to keep family connected.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms down. The first king bedroom shares a large hallway bathroom (shower only) and opens onto the front porch. The second bedroom down is a queen bedroom with a trundle sleeper to sleep three in all with private access to the porch. Upstairs, the second floor has a third bedroom that is a king which shares a full hall bath (shower only) with access to a private balcony off the king bedroom. The fourth king master bedroom suite has a seating area, a large flat screen mounted TV, plenty of custom built in storage and a large private master bathroom suite. The fourth bedroom and master bath are newly built construction in 2020. The large master bath ensuite has a double vanity, plenty of custom built-in storage, a tub, and a shower. The third-floor tower room includes built in benches, a large flat-screen TV, and an amazing Gulf view from the Juliet balcony.

Seaside has become our favorite town for our family beach vacation! Salty Dogs is in a great location for the beach and center of town. The house was very well kept, comfortable and fit our crew of ten perfectly. We do enjoy sitting on the porch which Salty Dogs has a nice one however a fan or two would make it perfect especially during those warm days. It’s our second summer staying at Seaside but our first time working with Homeowners Collection and what a pleasure it was. Thanks to Salty Dogs and Homeowners Collection for helping make our special moments at the beach ones we will treasure forever!

We were traveling for Spring Break - moms and daughters trip- and this house was perfect for us! Great layout, everything in great shape, so close to Seaside square and just across from the beach access. Short walk to the fitness center and park area as well. Great communication from managemen before and during the stay.

Loud construction noise on corner house across the street. Even though not much Homeowner's Collection could do about the noise they were very responsive. Reduced my price abit and gave my credits to eat out.Also some members of my family felt the beds and pillows needed updating.

It was a lovely 3 day getaway! It would have been nice to have a heated pool in late October. We loved the beach and the bookstore. Our house was beautiful and clean. I would not recommend it for children or the elderly. Too many stairs and the climb to the third floor was dangerous.

Property was very nice. I was here for a conference, and cell coverage was terrible. Our Wi-Fi password provided was wrong so we were unable to connect. I called several times, but got no answer, and no one called me back. This was disappointing. Beyond that, the property was lovely and clean.

We live directly across the path in Seaside and needed addtional room for family and friends to celebrate the impending marrigae of our daughter. Everything was perfect. We could have used better weather but that was beyond your control.

Love the new master addition, and the home perfectly accommodated our family (grandparents, parents, and grandchildren). The only recommendation would be to add more seating on the porch, given how many the house can accommodate. Will definitely be back!

We have stayed in vacation rentals where they supply cooking basics ( salt, pepper, paper towels, garbage bags), plenty of extra tissue, towels, and much more to truly make it comfortable to cook and stay in (without having to bring or buy basics). Unfortunately, this house doesn’t provide those amenities. The house is supplied with very minimal paper products, towels, one garbage bag, and sample size cleaning dish soap, dishwasher detergent, etc. If you plan on staying more than a couple nights, be prepared to bring or buy all basics such as salt, pepper, garbage bags, dish soap, etc. Something we wish we known to bring in advance!

We stayed at Salty Dog this summer and loved it. It is the perfect laid-back beach house. It's just a block from the beach which made getting to and from so easy with three small children. It's located so close to town, which we loved. Homeowner's Collection was fantastic in meeting all of our needs. The only drawback to the house layout is that the tower on the third floor is accessible by very steep stairs that are kind of like a ladder. If you have young children, it may need to be gated off.

We’ll Be Back To Salty Dog!
We’ve been coming to Seaside for years and always look forward to returning. This was our first stay in Salty Dog, and we’d already reserved our return visit for even longer next time before we had to head home. As far as we’re concerned, the location is perfect and the home is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, whether it was just the 2 of us, or when we had 4 more of our family join us, most of them for a week. We appreciate furniture and appointment tastes when things prompt us to look at labels because we’d like to have something like that in our home, e.g. we made note of the king sized mattress brands since new ones are on a to-do list when we finish a remodeling project. We love Seaside and now we love Salty Dog, and it will be our go-to home away from home.

Great Remodeled Home! Best Location
We stayed at Salty Dog last month and had the best time. The home is steps to the beach. It was well appointed and recently updated. The owners have impeccable taste! We enjoyed time with the family on the front porch. It was easy to let the kids out in the front and to the beach with no worry. We have stayed in many places in Seaside but nowhere twice. Salty Dog will be the first. We already booked next year!

We have a long history with Seaside having owned a cottage there several years ago, so we look at it through a sentimental lens.
The location was really great, close to the beach and town center. The downside was it was spring break and with a shortage of parking spaces, guests from other cottages kept getting our spaces. Even though this is on an older street in Seaside the decor was attractively updated, including nice baths, kitchen. The upstairs bedroom mattress and linens were not comfortable. The bedroom was clean, attractive, but the mattress was really lumpy, both my husband and I think that would be our biggest complaint, for sure! Also, the bottom sheet wouldn’t even stay in place - too small apparently. The cottage overall was very clean, but the floors not so much...even though they looked clean, our socks were dirty from the floors, but I give that a pass since we’re at the beach.
