Good place!

The atmosphere of the resort is nice, clam and quiet. The bes and mattress are comfy. The aircon works well during a high peak summer season. Thai breakfast is pretty good. Staffs who are Buremese are friendly and kind.

The construction noise form 8.30-16.00 is quite insane. We did a week of workation which we worked in the morning. It was unpleasant to hear the drill every morning. The owner wanted to expand her resort, she apologised and explained why, but still as guest, we chose this place becuase we want some quietness. I basically was not impressed by the owner, she kind of managing/controlling everything, or think ahead for you. Maybe some people like it, but not us.

Paradise

Horizon was exactly what I was hoping for - a peaceful spot, by the sea where we could relax, read and swim. The cabin was great, plenty of space, spotless, good shower, lovely balcony where we could sit for a sun downer. The staff and owners were amazing, really friendly and took great care of us! For example, we asked if they had a spare fan because we prefer not to sleep in air con for the whole night (the air con in the room was excellent though, especially after a hot day at the beach!). They didn’t have one but went to the mainland the next day to buy one for our room - we were blown away (pun partially intended!). The Thai food at the restaurant was genuinely excellent, though only available until 5 or 6pm. However, there was some great food nearby which was really authentic and very reasonably priced. The sea was beautiful, lovely and warm, clear and clean. I went snorkelling most days and there was some great sea life to spot including some nice coral not very far off the beach. The town is easily accessible, if you need to buy anything or if you want a change of scenery. All in all, this is an ideal place if you want to relax in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

Amazingly chill and comfortable

I highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay on Koh Samed. It's at the south of the island so further from the busy part of the island, but easily accessible by motorcycle or the local trucks that can easily be hired through the staff. The staff make this place extra special. They're very warm and welcoming and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast which had enough western and Thai options. All of it was tasty and the eating area by the beach is very pleasant. The beach and swimming area in front of the resort is small but still very nice. Also, the two nearest beaches are easily accessible by foot. They both have restaurants and places to drink and relax. The bungalows are very comfortable and all have nice patios to relax on in the evenings. I can't recommend this place enough. It can't be beat for this price on the island.

There is some construction happening at the resort now and there was some noise, but it was very limited and didn't disturb us at all. I look forward to seeing it when the renovations are complete.

Frühstück und freie Snacks im Bungalow. Lage angenehm ruhig.

Liebloser Bungalow, einfach und teilweise renovierungsbedürftig. Die Anlage insgesamt ist ebenfalls nicht sehr ansehnlich. Aktuell tagsüber tlw Baustellenlärm. Im Bad gab es nachts Ungeziefer.

Zauberhaft und zum Wohlfühlen

Super Lage! Abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Sehr saubere Zimmer. Tagtäglich etwas Wasser und frische Handtücher. Traumhafter Strand. Einige Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr freundliches und hilfreiches Personal. Ein toller Ort :)

Gerne wieder

Sehr familiäre gepflegte Anlage. Etwas außerhalb und eher ruhig, genau was ich gesucht habe. Morgens schõner Sonnenaufgang, abends ganz in der Nähe schönen Sonnenuntergang

Das Resteraint schließt um 17 Uhr gibt aber in unmittelbarer Nähe alternativen.

Amazing staff and beautiful location

Staff are so friendly and helpful! Breakfast buffet in the morning is good and changed each day. Food they serve during the day is also good and well priced. lots of places to sit in sun and shade, there is only a small beach section but can get into the water via some steps too. there’s are restaurants a 5minute walk away.

hotel is not close to the pier but the island is small so can use bike or taxis easily. they are doing building work at the moment but where not a disruption.

Great end to our trip.

Quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast on beach. Comfortable cabins. Big fridges in room. Excellent Wi-Fi including on beach. We stayed in the older style wooden cabins which had generous shady verandahs.

Some building work although no work happening when we were staying.. Newer cabins seemed less spacious so pleased we were not staying in them.

Perfect family holiday

The location was perfect for us, a family just wanting to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Thailand. Staff was incredible and helped us with everything. Breakfast was great! Loved all the different options.

Avons vraiment apprécié le cachet spécial de l’endroit

Endroit très calme et extrêmement propre. Les personnes en place sont vraiment dévouées, attentionnées et notre séjour fut des plus agréables. Nous y étions pour 7 jours et avons vraiment apprécié notre choix avec sa jolie petite plage privée et les environs à explorer.

Quelques mobiliers plus vieux mais cela ne nous a pas posé de problème. Aussi tout dépend mais, si vous cherchez un endroit festif, ce n’est pas l’endroit ; personnellement, nous étions ravis de trouver le calme . Louer une moto est conseillé pour bien profiter de l’ile mais possible de prendre les bus collectifs aussi…… il n’y a rien vraiment qui nous ait déplu.

Sehr gutes Wohlfühl Resort.

Das Horizon Resort gehört mit dem Viking Resort zusammen. Die Häuser vom Horizon Resort sind jedoch relativ neu. Die Vermieter haben sich um alles gekümmert von der Rollermiete bis zum Taxi zum Pier und die Rückfahrt mit dem Minibus nach Bangkok. Das Resort ist sehr ruhig gelegen daher volle Erholung. Das Essen kostet 100 Baht pro Person und schmeckt sehr gut. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

Da gab es nix zu meckern.

I loved it!

Very nice and helpful staff,wonderful accomodation . A beautiful place to relax and enjoy your holiday. I would highly recommend going here if you want to experience a little piece of paradise. I will definitely go back as soon as I get the chance!

The Location, the view, how close it is to the beach and the extremely friendly staff. A nice spot to view the sun set is also really close by and if the weather is good, you can also view the sun rise from the beach where the hotel is located.

The small houses are rather old and not build very well. The air conditioning is only cooling the room a bit, but enough to get a good nights sleep. There is currently some construction going on. It's rather small and if I observed it correctly, just one person is working on it. So from time to time you had some construction noise, like hammering or sawing.

Perfect beach getaway.

Great location next to a lovely beach. Very relaxing. The huts were basic but had everything you needed. The staff were all really helpful and friendly.

There was a building site outside my hut in February 2023 which was a shame but can't be helped. The noise wasn't too disruptive as you could sit down at the beach.
