About this house rental
Short term furnished rental 26 night minimum
This custom four bedroom home is like no other in Coronado. In addition to its 2400 sq. ft. inside, the home has over 1600 sq. ft. of well appointed outdoor living space. The reason we bought this home and the reason that you will want to stay here is the 500 square foot rooftop deck. This is THE place to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. The Big Bay Boom is a synchronized display of fireworks from four barges strategically stationed around the bay and you can see them all from the comfort of the rooftop deck. The deck easily seats 10 including two seating areas, a fire pit and a wet bar with refrigerator. Two houses separate this home from the bay and if you are lucky, you can catch an aircraft carrier or cruise ship coming into port. Evenings spent with a blanket by the fire watching the city lights is a favorite pastime. Whether it is coffee or cocktails, you are sure to enjoy relaxing in this outdoor living room.
Completely remodeled in 2022, you will be delighted by the light and bright interior with multiple different levels creating intimate spaces in an open concept design. Two porches are accessible from the living room where you can choose to either watch the endless stream of humanity as they bike and run the circumference of the island or sit in privacy overlooking the courtyard. There is a TV hidden in the armoire or you can alternatively entertain yourself and cozy up by yet another fireplace with beachy sand and stone versus the standard log insert.
The eat-in kitchen and adjacent dining area includes seating for eight with a round four top and four additional chairs at the bar. The Viking stainless steel appliances include a gas stove and convection oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The drawer style microwave maximizes counter space and aesthetics and is by Sharp. There is also a half bath on this level conveniently located between the kitchen and the living room.
From the dining area, you can access the courtyard via the retractable door wall. Four panels of glass doors can be opened to extend the entertaining space to include a large McGuire glass top dining table with capacity to seat 8. In the courtyard, you will enjoy grilling on the Bull brand 4 burner grill which also includes a rotisserie option. If you enjoy serenity and nature, relax on the built-in lounge adjacent to the water feature and secret garden to the back of the home. We attract lots of birds who need a drink or perhaps a quick bath.
Back inside and still on the first floor, you will find a bedroom and en-suite bath with doors leading out to the walled courtyard. This room is currently being used as an office and includes a desk with chair. To accommodate guests, we have a twin trundle bed which sleeps two. The trundle twin raises up on a frame beside the other bed so no one has to sleep at ground level. The private bath includes a tub/shower combination.
Upstairs the large master bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and "heavenly bed" mattress. These are the mattresses found in Westin hotels and are incredibly comfortable. There is a walk-in closet with two full length mirrors and lots of racking and drawers. The master bath includes a private toilet room, double sink vanity and custom large walk-in shower with two shower heads.
At the other end of the house, the first guest bedroom upstairs holds a queen size bed with another heavenly mattress. This room is very private and accessed via a mezzanine, so it literally doesn't share any walls with other rooms in the house. The fourth bedroom is at the top of the stairs and has a partial view of the San Diego skyline from its full size bed. These two bedrooms share a family bath which includes a tub for the kids and a separate and unique curved custom shower plus a single vanity and toilet.
On the garage level is our laundry room equipped with washer, dryer and sink. Extra cleaning supplies and some appliances are located in the laundry room cabinets. Our garage is used as a workshop and is not available for parking.

We stayed in this home for 31 days, and it truly was a HEAVENLY experience!! The home was pristine when we arrived! Emily the owner was there to great us and show us around the home. The beds were so comfortable, the linens were top of the line amazing. Our favorite part of the home was the outdoor eating area, with built in grill, opening to the gourmet kitchen. The roof top deck overlooking the San Diego Bay was breathtaking !!!
I can't wait to return again next year!!

This home provided us with everything you should be looking for in a Home Away rental. Coronado as a whole is a great location with easy access to the restaurants, shopping, golf, parks, and downtown San Diego.
However, let me focus on the property itself.
1. Great experience dealing with the actual owners (not a management company!) at check-in and check-out.
2. Spotless and immaculately maintained.
3. The property contains high-end furniture, bedding, finishes, kitchen utensils, etc.
4. All the little touches you hope are there but don't always find. Paper towels, dishwasher soap, spices, reliable high speed internet, etc.
5. Extras that make sense for the location. In this case, 3 great bikes to get around the most bike friendly place we've ever stayed at.
Overall, this is a 5-star property with great ownership in a great location. Very highly recommended.

We vacationed with my family (me, wife and 2 young kids) and both sets of my wife and I’s parents. This home was out of a magazine. Loved all the outdoor spaces (too many to count!)!!! With the weather in San Diego and on Coronado specifically, you want to be spending your time outside to enjoy the cool breezes in the warm sun; and this home gives you every opportunity. The rooftop is an excellent place to escape and enjoy the late evening with perfect views of San Diego bay and the city skyline. The outdoor dining area/kitchen were excellent to grill and eat outside. The location was perfect, a block away from the bay and a short drive to the beach. Emily was great to work with and we could only wish we had stayed longer!

The best of the best!
We were so lucky to find this amazing home in Coronado - like living in pages from Architectural Digest. The design provides sunlight in virtually every room, - French doors open to multiple balconies bringing the outside in - and a patio made for quiet dinners or entertaining with built in BBQ and fountain. Add to this, panoramic views from a rooftop patio overlooking the bay and city! We especially enjoyed the firework displays while having cocktails at the rooftop bar around the gas fire pit.
The interior of the home is beautiful and the layout affords privacy with three bedrooms upstairs as well as a separate bedroom and bath downstairs that opens to the patio.
All is designed with high quality finishes- beautiful hardwood floors, high quality appliances and many custom features.
Thank you for being such great hosts and making our time in Coronado so special!

What a beautiful home! It was very comfortable with room for all of us. The house had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable and the beds were very comfy. We also really liked the multiple living spaces – from the balconies where I could sit in the sun and read a book to the fountain on the back patio. We took advantage of the outdoor space where we gathered with the family at the end of a busy day to relax and barbeque. The street is quiet with lots of bike riders coming by on their ride around the island. There are restaurants within a short walk (past many beautiful homes). Coronado is beautiful vacation spot and this was a perfect home base for exploring the island and San Diego (we always visit the zoo).
