My family took a trip up to Saratoga for the races. Timberwolf Lodge is a short 20 minute ride to the track and a bunch of other places. Beautiful views, quiet and serene. Everything was as described on the property page. We had an absolute blast and can't wait to come again.

Robb was awesome with communication from start to finish. The location was great in regards to getting to town and SPAC, which we were there for! WiFi and air conditioning was a life saver! Everything we needed was there!

We enjoyed staying there. There was excellent communication from the property manager and the place was as advertised.

Overall we had a great stay at the Timber Wolf Lodge Cabin. Our group stayed there for a concert in Saratoga and the ride downtown was fairly quick. The Timber Wolf Lodge was exactly as listed and has a very homey feel to it. Lake Desolation is absolutely beautiful and canoeing was a lot of fun. Would stay again! Thanks Robb!

The cabin is a nice place to stay, it is clean, quiet and comfortable. Kitchen has all you need to cook and plenty of room. The living room is comfortable with internet TV. Front room has dining table with view of lake. Nice deck outside with table and chairs with a gas grill. Fire pit outside is nice for evening fire. Bedrooms 2 downstairs and bed upstairs are comfortable. The lake is nice about a 5 minute walk to dock, it’s a little bit of a hill down so take small steps.
There is no dishwasher or microwave in kitchen, but hey your in a beautiful setting on a lake with woods and birds all around you its a cabin so enjoy life and relax.
Saratoga is less than 20 minutes away. There is plenty to do there with the track, dining, shops. Wineries close by also.
We will be back to stay there again. Very happy with our stay there. Nice and relaxing.

Stayed here to attend a concert in Saratoga Springs with friends. it's a cabin in the woods, directions were hard to follow especially late at night. GPS coordinates would have been useful. It's very cottagy, a bit dusty with insects and cobwebs. Potable water although not great water pressure in the shower. Kitchen seems to be well stocked. Wifi works well. It was too cold to go to the lake.

Photos do not do this cabin justice - it has plenty of charm and is very comfortable to spend time in. Once you figure out how to make your way in/out it is easy and quiet to live in. No dishwasher or microwave but kitchen is sufficient to support cooking and baking if you’re inclined. A great getaway.

The area is pretty hard to get to and the check-in process is a bit odd; they just leave the house open with the keys on the counter. The cabin is cute, but the area is pretty ugly (other than the lake) and packed with other cottages. Dogs were constantly barking and we even ran into a very rude neighbor. We didn't feel like we had much privacy; on top of that the lake is down a steep rocky path, but at least we could see the lake from the cabin.
The cabin itself is cute and mostly clean. We were told to bring our own sheets and when we were making the beds we found a bunch of mice poop. There were also plenty of bugs in the shower. For a place that seems so strict about its "cleaning fees," it left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. It gets cold at night; the cabin is heated by a wood-burning stove (which is charming) and/or through a large propane tank. There is no microwave and the oven does not work properly. The owner seems reachable, but we hardly communicated. They also only left a "starting" amount of wood for the stove with instructions saying that if we wanted more to heat the home we would need to purchase it down the street. Watch out if you are tall - the ceiling is very low downstairs. The wifi is solid though.
Overall, the stay was poor; the location and amenities were not as advertised. Luckily, Saratoga Springs is nearby. You will need a car - Ubers/GPS won't be able to find this place.

4 Lifelong friends spent the weekend going to the track and then back to the cabin…much better than a hotel room!

walk to cabin was short but down a small hill. we were traveling with a handicap person so it was difficult for him. inside of cabin was spotless and beautiful. (ceiling a little low. kept hitting my head. my mistake was not reading the description better. picture of the dock gave me the impression the cabin was on the lake. we walked down to the deck (another slippery walk) and enjoyed a lovely sunset. everything worked well in the cabin including the wi-fi. overall we enjoyed our stay

The TimberWolf Lodge was an adorable house with quaint and cozy features. The lake was warm and calm and all the people sharing the docks nearby were friendly and considerate. It was a peaceful and quiet getaway, with all the attractions we could have wanted within a short driving distance! We will definitely be back again.

The lodge was very cute and clean. Did not really like the location of the dock! The lake was real high and the dock wasn’t easy to get to. But for a getaway with your family it’s cute. Everything worked great! Robb very quick to respond!

Other than torrential rain upon arrival, all was as expected.

The place was spotless upon arrival! Even though we weren’t rite on the water it was close enough where you could walk down easily. Only thing I would recommend would be greeted and shown the private dock and where the boats are located. A little weird walking to a different cabin being rented out and a little bit of a pain walking kayaks back and forth. But other than that definitely worth checking it out!

A little deceiving, you think you are right on the lake. I left the cabin cleaner than when we got there. A ton of Ants, and not relatives in the kitchen, so you had to be really careful putting food on the counter. I am glad there was ant spray because I used it several times. Overall I new it was an old cabin and it was fine for the weekend.

I don't often write reviews but if I can help someone make a more informed choice about where to stay I feel like I should. Stayed at the cabin over a cold weekend in September. We arrived with temperature in the 40's with all the windows wide open. The three small electric heaters were not powerful enough to make the cabin a reasonable temperature until the next evening so if you stay here in the colder seasons be sure to pick up firewood on the way or be prepared to sleep the first night in your coats. The expectation that was most thoroughly off was the size of the place. This cabin must have been part of a children's camp at some point because everything was smaller than it seemed in the pictures, most notably the ceiling in the living room being about 5'9'' from the floor. If you are taller be prepared to duck whenever you move around the house. Lastly was the final price. In the description if you read thoroughly but there are some additional fees not included in the advertised price. But on top of those, a significant portion of our security deposit was not returned because the owner claimed it took their crew "3 additional hours" to clean up after us. I have stayed at many rental properties before and never once have left a place in condition that was deemed unacceptable. Having cleaned this place to my usual standards I am confident there would not have been a problem for most owners. So if you stay here, be sure to be more thorough than usual when packing up.
Giving two stars because if we knew about these things going in, it was a nice stay once the place warmed up. All appliances work great, and it was a cool little cabin with a nice view of the lake and not far from downtown Saratoga.
