We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful house in Boyne city, a lovely picturesque town on lake Charlevoix. House was fully equipped for our family, well maintained, and super comfy. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen, sitting on the patio, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, and resting after a great day outdoors. Very attentive owners who gave us great tips on the area. Highly recommended!!!

A great house located near the beach and downtown area for the multiple day July 4th celebration.

The house is definitely older, but other than the hardwood floors, it’s hard to tell! The kitchen, restrooms, and deck have all been updated nicely. Each restroom is attached to a bedroom too.
The public beach, though small, was maybe two blocks from the house, and we had it all to ourselves every time we visited. Otherwise, a nice view of the water from the house.
Hosts were helpful in letting us borrow things for the kids so I didn’t have to pack as much (always good to ask, right?) and Jeff was a resource in local things.
We primarily used the house to rest and recover from day trips to the beach, Petosky, Mackinac Island, etc., and it worked great.

We again enjoyed our stay at the Kruz Inn. Very close to the beach and downtown area to enjoy the July 4th parade.

The property was clean, neat and in a fabulous location. Big windows with a view of the lake. Can't ask for anything better than that. The hosts, who live next store were very kind and welcoming.

Great Boyne City Stay
Another great July vacation at the Kruz Inn.

I loved the small town feel of this house. The house was clean and the owners are next door so it was nice if you needed anything. There is no central a/c but there were 2 window units that kept the house cool. It was within a mile of the town of Boyne City and the lake, Lake Charlevoix. There are paved walking/bike paths everywhere. The first night in town there was a Pirate Festival going on. It was fun to see all the pirates running around town. There was also music in the park next to the lake on several nights while we were there. A short drive to the beach at Mt. McSauba Recreation area in the town of Charlevoix was the best beach in the area. It overlooks lake Michigan. If you like the small town feel, this is the place to stay.

Great week in Boyne with family
We were very happy with this rental. We knew it would not be fancy but the space was used well. The kitchen was clean and the two bathrooms for our family was helpful. The home was close to town and a beautiful state park. Jeff, the owner, was very accommodating and available when something was needed

Lots of space and great view of Lake Charlevoix!
Very spacious open concept living in a nicely renovated Boyne City home. Kitchen is very well equipped and newly remodeled. Nice extra older kitchen place perfect for all your extras... coolers, gear etc.
Bathrooms are very nice and completely renovated. Bedrooms are spacious and beds comfy! Plenty of parking too.
Owners are right next door and available for anything you may need. It was a nice two weeks with friends and family.

It was great to spend a week in the town where I grew up. The house is close to the lake and was very clean. Owners are next door so if there were any issues they could have taken care of them quickly. House had everything we needed and then some.

Cute Place
The Kruz Inn was a great place to stay. We loved the cleanliness of this cute Boyne City home. It was well stocked and a great location for our day trips.
The only negative is the parking pad is not attached to a path to the house. You have to walk through the hilly yard to get to the stairs to the front door.
Loved our stay there and would stay there again.

Quiet, peaceful, close to all we needed
This was a great place to stay for our getaway. We were able to bike to town and to young state park. Cottage was very tidy, and kitchen fully equipped. Jeff and Mindy were friendly and available for questions, laid back, and kind, with some good outdoor suggestions for us. We really enjoyed Boyne city and would stay again.

Great place to stay
This was our second time staying here and once again it worked out perfectly for us. The location is great - close to town but on a very quiet street. The owner has provided everything we need and also he is very responsive should you need him. We definitely recommend.

Great week in Boyne City
We 4 adults and one toddler stayed one week here. Really appreciated the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our toddler enjoyed the trundle bed to sleep in the third bedroom. We did need the three window AC units. Thanks for those.

Great spot for our stay
Jeff and Mindy were great. The house was clean and well set up. We used the house as a 2nd base during our trip and having a separate place to go was so helpful. We would stay there again!

Charming, well appointed.
We greatly enjoyed this rental. We had two families, each consisting of two adults and one child, and it was a good size for us. The owners were gracious in letting members of our party use their canoe and kayak. Keep in mind if you are going in July or August that this house does not have central air, but there are window air conditioners in each of the three bedrooms. It's rare it's hot enough up there to need it, but it does get stuffy in the main part of the house if it gets over 80, but a few strategically placed fans can solve it, there is one box fan and one small electric fan at the property. The house is very clean with a kitchen well-stocked with pots/pans/etc you will need to cook all week (as we did). You have much better access to groceries right in town than many Michigan vacation towns we've stayed in, which makes a big difference in the quality of your stay if you're not planning to eat out most of the time. There is both a good sized conventional grocery store right down the road, and a small food co-op stocked with organic options a few more blocks away. We highly recommend seeking out Young State Park, just a mile down the road, for the best beaches nearby, we didn't discover it until half way through our trip and wish we'd found it sooner - check it out right away!

Great cottage in Boyne City
Very clean cottage with updates throughout and it has that northern Mich. cottage feel. Very close to downtown and within a couple of blocks from the boat launch and waterfront park. The house had everything we needed and the property owners, Jeff and Mindy, were very welcoming and great hosts.
We would recommend this cottage and would stay there again.
We stayed the last week of July/2018

Nice house for a week in Boyne City
We liked the location of the house - near the lake, the town and the grocery store. The owners provided everything we needed, and it was great to have a washer/drye. We thought the beds were comfortable. We would stay there again.

All the comforts of home
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was really cute and clean. Great location. Easy to walk to downtown area. The cottage was well stocked with everyday items such as coffee, paper towels etc.
The owners were really nice and right next door. So if you need anything they are right there to help. Place was much larger than we expected. Nicely updated older home with cute decor and nice furniture. The bunk room was really cute with books and games. We would have liked to have had more time to chill and enjoy it. But we were on the run. Maybe next time we’re in the area.

Cozy, comfortable, convenient, close to everything.
This is a charming house. We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The kids adored the bunk bed. The overflow or “retro” kitchen was fun for them to play in. Beds and furniture were comfortable, kitchen outfitted nicely. We had plenty of room to relax without feeling crowded. The owners live next door and are super friendly and helpful, knowledgeable about the area. Would rent this again on a Charlevoix visit.

Great place to stay in Boyne city!
The cottage was great. The kitchen was large and roomy and came well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, a few spices, foil, gas grill, lots of towels - everything we needed. The cottage was spotless. Jeff and Mindy were super nice and helpful with suggestions for places to go, and top restaurants in the area. An ideal location to enjoy the quaint towns of Boyne City, Lake Charlevoix, and even Mackinaw Island. The town is withing walking distance. A beautiful area for biking, kayaking and hiking. Hope to be back someday and would recommend staying here.
