Wonderful time with kids and grandkids lakeside. Great times renting pontoon boat, swimming in the lake, and pulling kids on tubes. Lake shore/beach has algae accumulation so not good for kids playing. Swimming off the dock is good. No recycling services available so more information about where to take cans and bottles would be extremely helpful.

Our stay was great! We had a great mix of outdoor and indoor fun and relaxation at the property. The house is rustic/country beautiful!

This home was just as described. Clean upon arrival. The view is beautiful. There was plenty of seating for our large family. And hooks already in the trees for our hammock!
The walk down to the water is a little steep, but perfectly manageable.

A beautiful location right on the lake to watch the sunset. We had plenty of room for our family. We stayed two nights during commencement weekend- it’s about a 50 minute drive to Ithaca.
A couple of things to note: the master bathroom has only a jacuzzi tub there is no shower but there is another bathroom on the lower level with a shower. There are no closets in the bedrooms but a few hooks on the wall so we hung our slacks and blouses on hangers we brought. You have to take the garbage out to a dumpster at the top of the road and must carry out any refundable as they are not allowed in the trash. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and time spent with family. Thank you Lisa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a wedding at Seneca Ridge (literally right up the hill from us). It could not have been more convenient. It was a short drive into Geneva for Wegmans, restaurants, and a walk on the waterfront path. I only wish the weather was a little warmer so we could have enjoyed the deck and water more. I can only imagine how wonderful this property would be in the summer.

We loved our stay. The house was adorable. It was nice and cozy. We enjoyed outside fires by the water, music and snacks on the balcony, and time in the downstairs rec area with the electric fire going. Wonderful time!

Rustic but cute. The beds could use new mattresses. Some of the lower level windows would not lock which was concerning since we were 6 women who were isolated.
The view of Seneca Lake was beautiful. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed.

The house was perfect for a family stay. The open floor plan with the kitchen, dining room, and living room being open to one another lent itself to everyone being together while preparing meals.
The views of the sunsets from the deck were wonderful.
The host was very responsive to any questions that we asked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

We had a fantastic vacation at the Lake House. The house was beautiful and comfortable for all ages and the location was outstanding. It was very easy for our family to do a variety of activities nearby, or just relax and enjoy the lake.

We arrived and the house was not cleaned but the owner quickly handle that and an electrical issue we had as well as the Wi-Fi going down. I did not care about any of this the house itself was beautiful BUT the path to enjoy the small lake view deck and to the dock was awful. So bad that several could not make it to the dock. I am in good shape and was fearful of making it down without falling and hitting rock. If you have small children or older adults or anyone with a disability this may not be the place for them. It definitely changed the dynamics of our trip since only 4 of 10 people could actually traverse the hill down. Instead of fishing and hanging on the dock we sat on the house deck or watched tv. We made the best of it and again if you have no concern about going to the dock the house is amazing. The only recommendation for the house is bring plastic utensils and plates as the house was only stocked for 9 people and after one meal you will have to run the dishwasher to have silverware again.

We did a girls weekend getaway and it was perfect. The beds were so comfy and it was warm and cozy on a cold weekend. Great kitchen and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate a bunch of women. Easy to find and in a great area. Beautiful view and easy access to the water. I imagine it’s even better in the summer! Would definitely recommend and would go again!

We had a wonderful time at Lisa and Kevin's home on Seneca Lake! The place was fully stocked with everything you might need and the open concept worked great for our group of nine friends-the back deck, fire pit not far from the house and the beautiful views and sunsets were all a bonus-hope to be back again!

Wood and Water was exactly that!: Beautiful knotty pine interior along with gorgeous water views. It exceeded our expectations and made wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime. The home is well equipped and its interior is charming...just as a lakefront home should be. The views are breathtaking and calming all at once. The home is SPACIOUS. There is a downstairs area that is perfect for family to gather, play cards, watch football and still have a view of Seneca Lake. The location was ideal. So close to wineries and breweries as well as the conveniences of the city of Geneva. We really enjoyed our long week-end at Wood and Water. Thank you, Lisa, for all your communication.

We loved the location it was close to many activities. Floors were very creaky so it was hard to move without disturbing others. No directions for how to use indoor fireplace, lovely area for outdoor fire. Easily accommodated family of 11.

A wonderful relaxing house for the 6 of us. The open living/dining/kitchen suited us perfectly for talking, playing cards and snacking! The wineries we visited were fun too. We had to delicious meals out for lunch at Little Venus in Trumansburg and Cobblestone in Geneva.

My husband and I rented this home for a week with our three children and six grandchildren. The set up of this home is perfect for large groups. The first floor large room with walk out to the back yard was great for night time games. Nice back yard with fire pit great for night time fires.Need to bring your own wood. Getting down to the water is a little challenging spent many hours by the water. Our only negative with this home would be the cleanliness. The kitchen could use a deep cleaning. Actually emptied the silverware drawer and cleaned it before we would use it and cleaned oven before using. . Would that stop us from renting this home again probably not.

The quintessential Seneca Lake getaway. Lakeside with swimming and dock access, close to Geneva, breweries and wineries with gorgeous vistas, including sunsets and moonrises. The house is well laid out and cozy while allowing plenty of personal space. The owners were extremely responsive. The only drawbacks, which are not unusual for the area, were that it was a bit dusty and the linens (and some beds) could use upgrades. But we all were comfortable and slept very well nonetheless. Very enjoyable family getaway with many great memories.

Neighbors trip
Spent a beautiful couple days at the Fingers Lakes with our neighbors. 4 couples and more than enough room. This house was perfect and had the most amazing views of the lake and sunsets! We spent a lot of time just sitting on the dock soaking it all in. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again!

Great Stay After Two-Year Covid Delay!
We finally had a belated family gathering on the shores of Lake Seneca. The house was perfect for the size of our group (10) and we had lots of fun playing card (and other) games at the table adjacent to the kitchen. The view of the lake was excellent and we had one good sunset! Location was also superb as we hit two breweries (War Horse and Twisted Rail) and three wineries (Fox Run, billsboro, and Ventosa) during our stay. Thanks to Lisa for being so accommodating during the past two year!

Girls weekend for the Bride to be
We had a wonderful weekend exploring the Finger Lakes thanks to this perfect spot. The house is beautiful and located right on the water. The weather was cold and raining so we did not get to enjoy the outdoor area. The house was more than accommodating with plenty of room for everyone that came. House was very clean and beds were all very comfortable.
The location was right near to a few wineries and a brewery. It was a very short 5-15 min ride to many many more. This was exceeded all expectations for our girls wine weekend celebrating the bride to be.
Thank you Lisa. We cannot wait to come back.

Ohio Ladies Fall Trip
We really loved our visit to the Finger Lakes and our stay at this property. The lake views were awesome. The house with the original woodwork was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting around on the deck. Very close to Three Brother’s Winery.

Beautiful setting
The property was as reported, large and spacious. Our family from NC and KY were in the area for a wedding at Ventosa Vineyards, very nearby. The house is on a lovely property with lakefront views. We ventured down to the waters edge a couple times; the path is fairly steep so reliable footwear is recommended. All in all a great trip for a beautiful wedding.
Of note if you stay here...We did have an issue with fruit flies in the residence. This may be common to the region, but they were pesky little beasties in fair numbers.
The one suggestion we had for the house was a need for more hooks, for hanging clothes in the bedrooms or towels in the bathrooms. With 8 of us in the house for a wedding event, we did need to get creative for our "finery" to avoid wrinkles.
