Well cared for. Plenty convenient to Crystal Mountain.

The Miller Cabin was the perfect place for our stay. We stayed a week. This was a family trip coming from two different states. We were able to drive to many areas of Mt Ranier and surrounding areas to hike and spend time admiring the mountains, rain forest, beautiful old growth giant trees and rivers. We had a fabulous time. The cabin filled all our down time needs. The beds were very comfortable which is very high on our need list. The appliances were appreciated for their cleanliness and sizes. Thank you Shane Miller for renting to us. Maybe we can come back some day.

Great location, easy check-in and good space in the house - you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. Communication with Shane the owner was excellent, and he granted us a late checkout which we really appreciated. WiFi and cell service are spotty in the neighborhood so don’t rely on it for work - go up to the mountain and use the lodge’s wifi if you need to work :)

It was great!!! Nice and clean, great lay out for two families! Communication with Shane was fast if we needed any help.
Thank you!

Overall the cabin was well maintained and comfortable. We could never get the gas fireplace to work even with the owner trying to instruct us over the phone which was unfortunate. The neighborhood elk roaming around were entertaining until they knocked over garbage cans and started digging through the neighbors’ and our trash.

This is a great choice for your family trip to the Greenwater area. We used the cabin as home base for our annual family skiing trip. We got snow while we were there, and were visited by the local elk contingent. Be sure to strap down the garbage can lids!
We all had a great time. I recommend the Miller Cabin highly!

We enjoyed our visit to Mt Rainer! The property was spacious for our group. We ate breakfast in before venturing during the day and we had good cookware options.
3.0
The property is in a great location with easy access to Crystal Mountain, Rainier, and not too far from Enumclaw and is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is “surface clean” with clean countertops and floors. It needs a more thorough cleaning as drawers and cabinets are littered with crumbs and spills in kitchen and baths. The departure instructions include an expectation that the vacationer “start AND FINISH at least one load” of laundry, which is unusual and likely the cause of bath towels smelling sour. A kitchen towel was nicely folded on the dishwasher handle, but was dirty/soiled from a prior stay. There was coffee creamer in the refrigerator that had expired months before. Like most properties in the area, this one did not have air conditioning, so the master suite upstairs was pretty hot. We bought a box fan that really helped it feel more comfortable and left it in the closet for future vacationers to use.
Make sure you take a photo of the door code from the check in instructions on the app prior to driving to the property. There is very limited cell service at or near the property and I couldn’t get it to open. My signal was just strong enough to make a call, and I called Shane to ask for help, but got voicemail. He never returned my call in spite of my request to do so. I also emailed him twice concerning the property, but never got a response. I hope he wasn’t sick or had something terrible going that prevented him from being responsive.

We used the cabin for a few bridesmaids to get ready in for our mountain wedding. It was perfect. Great location. Slept everyone comfortably. Great kitchen for making breakfast.

Home was really comfy!!!

This worked well for our family’s stay and nice proximity to many hikes in the rainier area. The community itself was perfect too- plenty of trails, roads for running, a playground, and beach to explore off the white river. Even the elks in the neighborhood were a fun novelty. I would highly recommend - perfect for a family with younger kids.

Enjoyed our stay
We had 4 adults and 1 dog for a whole week. Very clean space, easy check-in, good pots and pans, very sharp knives which is extremely rare, and comfy beds. Wifi is slow though so don’t expect to work much.

Great house to access crystal mountain
Had a great time staying at this property. Everything you need for mountain access

Great location but house missing a few amenities
We really enjoyed our stay; easy access to go skiing and we loved the location. For the price and fees, I would have expected better amenities - the pots and pans were very old, outside lighting (was very hard to see to see at night), the driveway was solid ice after the recent snow fall and then melting and no hot tub. There was also dog poop on the deck by the chairs in the front of the house, likely left by a previous renter. On a positive note, the house was impeccably clean and instructions for check-in / check-out was easy. Shane was very responsive for any questions I had.

Ski holiday
Great property to rent for your Crystal Mountain Ski getaway. We had all we needed to prepare fortifying meals and also comfortably in luxurious beds after easing our ski related pain in the jacuzzi tub!

Room to improve
Really great location, and the bedrooms, bathrooms, are great. The kitchen is laid out well, but everything was a bit worn down. Towels, blankets, etc have signs of a lot of wear. Asked to do 1 load of laundry as part of checkout, with is fine, but there was no laundry soap provided. Dish network didn't work either. On checkin, it was clear housekeeping hadn't been there after the last guest. Was able to reach homeowner through VRBO customer service (owner's phone # provided on reservation was incorrect, so had to call VRBO), and he was great in quickly getting housekeeping scheduled to clean the home. Just lots of "cons" that offset the "pros" of location.

Nice gateway to Rainier
This house was well equipped, nicely furnished, and comfortable. We used the place as a base for day hikes in Rainier National Park. Great stay!

Excellent stay close to hiking
We had a great stay at this property. The location was wonderful, suitable for walk around this cabin community but also close to hikes…
The house had everything we needed and easily accommodated two families with kids. The pillow top mattress in the king bedroom felt really nice after long hikes. Overall great property.

Nice house and great location for families, with a few drawbacks.
Nice house and location.
House smelled musty, especially the two downstairs bedrooms. Smoke alarm was not connected, no bath gel or bar soap in upstairs bathroom, kitchen could have been better equipped.
Webcam on outside?

Quiet and clean, but hot
The house was very nice, great location for visiting Mt Rainier. But it was very hot during our stay and there was no air conditioning, which made the nights uncomfortable.

Family Hiking during Record Highs Temps
Everything was as advertised with this property. Great place to stay close to Mount Rainier and other great hikes.
We happened to go during record heat. The only thing missing from the house where some fans. We were a little toasty a couple nights! But we still had a great time.

Stay March 2021
Wifi speed was perfect for cell phone use (no issues), although it isn't really designed for streaming. There is a cut out in the wall above the door to enter into the master bedroom (so noise travels). There is a nice collection of games to play. Super easy access to Crystal (about a 30 min drive, roads were all clear of snow). Very cozy and comfortable! Would stay again.

Great weekend getaway
Easy check in...great location....close to the Mountain and to Greenwater. Super fun spot to get away and enjoy the great outdoors! Beds were comfy, towels were nice and soft! Totally recommend it!

Great small house
Great location, good and cozy house. The master bedroom was great. Most of the appliances are new. Decoration is nice. However, the kitchen was poorly stocked-we constantly ran out of cups and dishes. Had to buy few bowls, since the house had just one. Lacked large oven baking pans, thermometer, aluminum foil. The dishwasher is not working well, which explains why we found few unwashed mugs in the cupboard. In COVID time they should not ask us to reuse the previous tenants dish sponge. Had to go to the store for that too. A better stocked kitchen would have made a good experience a great one.

Great cabin in the woods
We enjoyed our stay in the woods. The neighborhood was friendly and we especially enjoyed our strolls on the paths through the forest to the river. Internet was slow and cell phone reception was weak but doable if you’re in vacation.

Visiting the Snowy Mountains
Our extended family had a lovely stay in this neighborhood. Only a 25 minute drive to Crystal Mountain. We loved the forest and the elk in the yard. The cabin easily accommodated 5 adults and two young children.
