This property was fantastic for our needs and a great price. It was very conveniently located.

My family spent New Years together at the Mountain Retreat and it was one our most memorable trips ever! Everything about the home and property is perfect. 8 of us and a toddler fit great, there are tons of sleeping options and the common areas are warm and fun to hang out in. They have everything you could need in the kitchen, sleds in the garage, a fire pit, grill, and the most beautiful scenery. The host is very nice and we had no issues whatsoever. 10/10 experience.

The house and property are perfect for friends and family to enjoy each other's company. There is a small walk you can to a nearby vista that looks over the lake. A perfect VRBO!

I loved the location, host went above and beyond to ensure the place was accommodated. Lake entrance was further than expected, but not their fault. 5 stars.

Had lots of fun at this place! Went to the lake during the day we had a wonderful stay.

A perfect location for a multigenerational family getaway. We went in the winter, the kids never left the property and had so much fun sledding right there. Skiing and snowshoeing are nearby for those who wish.
The host was easily reached and very responsive and helpful. The only concerns would be the must of 4wheel drive to get there in the snow, and the many stairs make this not a place to bring grandma unless she's fine with a full flight of stairs just to get to the living area. There is no parking level entry to the house. I'm sure if I had asked josey would have made that clear.

This is our second time renting this property. We celebrate New Year eve there and rely loved it. The house is relatively close to Seattle, in the middle of woods, close to the lake, spacious, fully equipped. Really nice place to get away from busy city and relax.

From check in to check out, everything was a breeze. This house had everything we needed. 12 of us from ages 2-59, lots of space. We only wanted to take the grandkids to play in the snow and we got more than we expected. Thanks Josie for being a great host! ❤️

There were multiple mice in the cabin, along with mouse droppings in the linens. Josey said to expect this because it's a forest and that past guests may have left food out, exacerbating the problem. Additionally, she initially said that there should be internet, but after the refund period passed she said there wouldn't be internet after all.

Gorgeous property and setting. Be aware: No a/c, no internet, somewhat weak phone service. Beautiful, peaceful, serene. Very clean. We loved it! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wilderness retreat
The good:
Secluded house about 75 minutes outside of Seattle. Tall trees surround the place and a stream runs through the back. Good selection of beds/ baths and nice kitchen. We had 3 families including 6 adults and 5 kids and there were no issues with space.
Potential cons:
No wifi and minimal cell service. If you're coming from a metro area, buy groceries before getting into the local area as it can be expensive locally.
Final thoughts:
Go for the hiking, bonfire, sight-seeing and relatively easy access to the city. If you're looking for some seclusion and nature, this is a good choice. The area is incomparably beautiful.

Amazing cabin ski retreat!
The property and home were perfect! The check-in directions were spot on, and the host was very communicative and detailed in the lead up to the trip.
The home itself is super cozy and nice, and the space was clean upon arrival. We had plenty of space to come together and play board games, and dinners were a social occasion with all of the room the house provides.
We used the space to facilitate a ski/snowshoe trip, and we were pleased at how close the home was to both Summit at Snoqualmie and local snow parks.
The hosts did a great job of clearing the driveway given the tremendous amounts of snow the property has been receiving.
It was an icy weekend when we were there, so the sled chutes were more like luge tracks, and were super fun.
Our friends staying in the basement said that they got a little chilly at night, but granted they did not use the downstairs fireplace.
The home has a cell signal booster, which appeared to work well. My wife and I had to work a little bit, and we were able to use our Verizon hotspot enough for basic emails and web searching.
Overall great space and definitely recommend!

Beautiful mountain getaway
It was the perfect weekend in the mountains with everything you need right at the house! We got lots of snow and it was well equipped with shovels, and sleds. We had a wide range from 2 year olds to 75 year olds and it was great for everyone! My family will 100% be back!!

WONDERFUL STAY! Perfect for a big family
My whole Family enjoyed and had so much fun in the Cabin. The place is nice and clean with complete kitchen utensils, It was bigger than what we thought. You can feel the cool relaxing fresh air but not perfectly quite because there is some occasion construction going on at nearby property but not bad at all!

Fun weekend with family
The house was big enough for 10 grown women to relax, play games and eat great food. We found everything we needed. Proximity to the lake and Forest Service roads was ideal. The house stayed fairly cool with fans and window blinds. All in all, a great stay!

Super Marathon Stay
A group of OKlahoma friends sharing lodging for a marathon from Snoqualmie Pass to North Bend on the Palouse to Cascades trail. Perfect location and beautiful home for our purposes. Despite the record heat wave, the house stayed relatively cool and fans were very helpful keeping it that way.
Description and pictures do not do the property justice. It was simply gorgeous and very relaxing. Plenty of space for 12 adults to spread out and sleep. Mobile phone service was spotty but the cell booster helped. There were no check-in procedures in the app but contacted host and received it in email.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain retreat.

Great place in beautiful location
Our second time here; love the short distance from seattle and how secluded the house is. Surrounding Kachess area is beautiful and the house can easily handle large groups.

Wonderfully spacious cabin in the woods
We loved our time at this property. The kitchen was well stocked, communications with the host was easy, lots of firewood and an awesome fire pit -- highly recommend this cabin in the woods! Easily fit two families of five, with lots of space to spread out.

This cabin is spacious with beautiful views and fun for the entire family. We knew wifi was not available, so we were excited to take a break from our heavily connected electronics/work on this trip. Our cell phones worked to make calls near the booster in the kitchen. Our 3.5 and 5 year old enjoyed the toys provided and also the private sledding hill. We had fun roasting s’mores around the bonfire and hiking in the snow. We even had a fresh snowfall on our last day! The VHS and DVD selection was fun for the kids too. It was perfect for a quiet, scenic family getaway. Just what we were looking for! Josey was great at communicating and quick to respond. We would love to come back again in the future.

Amazing Location.
Great experience for our entire family of 6 kids! No wifi and cell reception (except net to the signal booster of course) was a plus cause it sure did make us appreciate the surroundings and activities better. Lots of toys for the kids, sledding boards, fire pit, cozy couches. Just amazing!

Our group of eight really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home! Plenty of space for all, very clean and everything was in good condition/working order. We were super happy that the kitchen was stocked so nicely with plenty of good quality cooking utensils and pans and such. Perfect for our families!
This property is well managed and we definitely want to stay there again. Two families of six (kids ranging 6-17) had plenty of space- enjoyed the comfortable inside and room to play outside in the snow! Josey gave helpful tips ahead of check in and was quick to respond to a question during our stay. We found the house well stocked and maintained. Highly recommend!
