Clean, roomy, well appointed house on large beautiful landscaped lot. Great views, nice size pool and lounge area. A/C & fans work well to keep the house cool. Very nice stay at the property.

Location, location, location. If you are looking for down town Honolulu this is not for you. The valley is very far out of the city. It is so quiet and peaceful. We were from the east coast so we were up at the crack of dawn and the beautiful sun rise over the mountains was fantastic. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful time with your family, away from the husle and busle of the city this is the place. Very nice.

Really felt like we experienced the real Hawaii. Not glitzy, yet elegant, Fantastic views from the house porch, well equipped with all the things that you need but did not bring. Will look forward to the next stay.

We had such a nice time at this home. The views are stunning!!! Book this home if you want a unique view and a lot of space. We loved that each room had it's own bathroom. There was more than enough room for hanging out on the balcony, kitchen table, or downstairs. We had a group of 9 and never felt crowded. One things I have to mention is the location. If you are not planning on leaving the area or the home this house location is perfect. There are beaches nearby too! However, if you are planning on doing excursions on the opposite sides of the island plan on 1.5 -2 hours + to get there! (depending on traffic) We had excursions almost every day, so we felt like we spent a lot of time in the car during this trip. However, we all agreed that we would all come back and stay again if we did not have to travel far. Also, with the home being on the west side there are a lot of homeless people walking around and camped at many of the beaches. I would not feel comfortable walking around outside at night. I would not have changed our reservation for this fact. Just something to keep in mind. I loved that they had beach toys, chairs and boogie boards for us to use! The grocery stores around are pretty expensive so I would recommend a Costco trip before getting settled. We also felt like we were limited to the restaurants around. There are a lot of fast food options but only a few sit down places to eat. The owner was fast to respond and had all the information about the home in a convenient binder. Can't wait to go back!

Having separate rooms and bathrooms for everyone is great. You can’t beat the pool and all the toys available. It’s a non-tourist part of the island and the locals are very friendly and beaches clean and much less crowded. Plan for long drives in and out of the area.

House is located about 45 min to an hour drive from the airport. Water is beautiful, buy the beaches in this area are full of homeless. Beach is about 1-2 miles from the house. House was clean , but is showing. It’s age. House sits along a large loft which is well maintained. Overall a pleasant stay..

Comfortable and spacious with a great pool and all the necessities for our family.
We had a great time on our family vacay! Enough beds & bedrooms for 2 couples + 3 single adults + 2 children.. The views from the upper deck were wonderful and we all enjoyed the pool. We took trips to Honolulu for Pearl Harbor, a luau, Waikiki Beach, etc.. Advice for those planning a trip to Hawaii (and other popular vacation spots) book you activities well in advance! We didn’t get on the Arizona Memorial due to it being booked up for weeks (still a lot to see & do at PH) and the same with the Polynesian Cultural Center. Many luaus we also booked up.
The house suited our needs well, but it does need some TLC with painting and repairs, but things still work fine. Location is alright, but one should plan on driving 10+ miles back closer to Honolulu for groceries (local area is higher priced with poor selections). There are some good local restaurants and beaches. Property manager was very friendly and helpful. Grounds crew came in to do their up-keeping tasks for a couple of hours one day and the pool guy came on one other day. Minor disruptions and not a problem. The grounds are gated with nicer homes surround it. We would consider staying here again.

Great stay!
This house fit our family of 12 perfectly. Pool was great…kids loved the pool. Beach toys, towels, and boogie boards for guests to use. A/c up and a mini unit downstairs kept the house cool. All in all, a great stay!

Great house, everything was accurate in the listing however the neighborhood was a little sketchy
Great big house and well priced for the money.

Beautiful View
We were a party of 12 and the size of the house fit our needs well. However, the downstairs bedrooms were very very warm because they don’t have ac. We spent a lot of time driving from the house to other parts of the island because there is nothing to do in Waianae-you have to drive through an area filled with homeless folks and the area is quite dirty. Once you get to the actual property it is nice and has a beautiful view of the ocean.

Family vacation September 2021
Beautiful ocean views.great wrap around porch. The House is great for a large group. The kitchen was very well stocked. . The down size is, the pool never warmed up enough to be able to enjoy. The neighbors complained a lot when we were just outside talking. And it was not in a neighborhood that you would want to walk to the beach. Looked like a rough neighborhood.

It was wonderful
Eave though, this part of the island it’s dry we had a really good time, it’s very quiet, we enjoyed the birds singing every morning, the house has lots of space, we loved it

Quiet getaway near Honolulu
Quiet area to enjoy being out of the city. Respecting quiet hours after10PM are a must. Lots of water activities nearby to enjoy without the hustle and bustle of the cities. But lots of restaurants are available in 1/2 hours drive. Could use some TLC, air conditioning was below average, but still an enjoyable stay.

Amazing House
This house was amazing. There were 10 of us ranging from 11-72 years old. The house was big enough for all of us. The open concept was perfect to be able to talk with everyone while preparing food in the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you would need. It was so nice that every bedroom had it's own bathroom. The pool was really pretty. My family had a great time hanging at the pool and enjoying the breathtaking views. The communication between the property owner was great. She replied in a timely manner. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful, while hanging on the wrap around porch. There is a beach at then end of the road (Jade) and we saw sea turtles there! I actually liked the west side of the island, because there were less people. The beaches were really nice too. Overall, my family had a magical Hawaiian vacation and the house was wonderful.

Beautiful Home
I rented this property for a week and it was a great experience! As the check in date got closer I received continuous clear information about the property that made it very easily accessible to my family and I. Also, I had good communication with the property manager throughout the week and when it came time to check out. In addition, the home provided plenty of space for everyone in the family to have they’re own private rooms and bathrooms. The house came fully stocked with anything we could ask for and more. The pool was wonderful and the view was amazing (especially at sunset)! Overall the best family vacation we had all experienced!

Makaha, HI Vacation House
We were very pleased with the property. There was an abundance of space for all 12 of us, and with the exception of a few wear and tear failures, 1 coffee maker stopped working/leg of 1 dining room chair broke when a guest sat down/1 toilet lever didn't function properly, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful Christmas family gathering!
This was a lovely property, outside and inside! We truly felt like we were on a special getaway for 12! The house is beautifully designed and set up, well cared-for, and comfortably accommodating. The beach was not as close as we'd like, but it was an easy drive, as were grocery stores. We would love to return.

Perfect for large family
We truly enjoyed our stay! The house is large and open and allows for a big family to hang out and have their own space. It was wonderful for everyone to have their own room and bath. Wonderful views in every direction! We were 4 couples and 5 kids. VERY kid friendly home. The wrap around deck was a huge hit with the kids and adults. Many hands of cards and tic tac toe were enjoyed out there during the day and evening. The BBQ was a plus! Loved being able to grill a lot of our meals. Everyone enjoyed relaxing by and in the pool! It was our first visit to this side of the island and we would come again. The beaches are beautiful and the people were so very friendly and kind. We made one trip to Costco and enjoyed the the local grocery stores for everything else we needed. Appreciated the beach towels, pool toys and the E Z up tent was great to create a bit of shade at the beach. It was a wonderful family trip and perfect holiday!

Great open home for large family.
We rented this lovely home in July for a family gathering. We found it clean, comfortable, and as described in the ad. The kitchen/dining/living room area was wonderful as we all gathered to socialize. The open design made it feel even more roomy. The bedrooms were well furnished with comfortable beds and the connecting bathrooms were a bonus. Our kids were in love with the pool, it was well used any time we were at the house. The beaches are handy, shopping was easy to access, and the views are amazing. We were lucky to be there during the 4th of July celebration and were able to see fireworks in several locations from the deck. Our vacation was a great success, much of the credit goes to the lovely place we were lucky to find. Thank you for sharing your home!

Perfect for groups/large families
I'd give 4.5 stars, because of a few minor drawbacks, but its value and the pool round up to 5!
We had three generations including grandkids ranging in age from 1-7. This house was perfect! It had plenty of bedrooms, each connected to a bathroom (of which one also opened into the upstairs hallway), plus an extra bathroom downstairs. We loved the extra-large dining room table that could seat all of us and the table outside on the porch. We used the gas grill and enjoyed eating on the balcony—it really does have great views on all four sides!
The pool was a big draw in choosing this house, and our kids used it almost every day. There were life jackets and pool toys of various kinds and sizes, plenty of beach towels and a tent for the beach.
It's in a quiet family neighborhood, which was perfect for us. We enjoyed shopping at local stores and never felt unsafe. You might read mixed reviews of the area because there's poverty, but that didn't concern us, only made us conscious of how colonization and environmental carelessness have affected Hawaii. The ultra-manicured grounds at Ko Olina (home of Disney's Aulani) felt artificial, although the lagoons are a great place to take kids, and Aulani offers a kid-friendly luau.
Drawbacks: it's a well-kept house, but it's not brand-new. Appliances were fine, but the bathrooms, while they had obviously been cleaned, weren't white and shiny anymore. Also, the a/c either was broken or is seriously undersized, because it worked overtime the whole week just to keep the house at their recommended temp of 77 (however, it was unseasonably hot and humid that week, with no trade winds, so most of the time you'd probably be fine!). The house manager was extremely responsive, but they weren't able to get anyone out to look at the a/c until the day we left.
However, those were small issues. We would absolutely come back to stay again. I love the silent exchange between past and future VRBO guests: besides pool toys, the pantry had some sundries (spices, Keurig pods, oil), and a few bathrooms left hair products to try. We left a few in turn.
Recommend: Mike's Bake Shop (Waianae) for donuts and pastries, Coquito's Puerto Rican restaurant (they do takeout!), Sushi Bay (Kapolei), Green World Coffee and Kohana Rum tour (near Dole Plantation).

Amazing vacation home
This home has everything you could possible need. We planned a family reunion and were all able to stay together and enjoy the home and make lots of memories. The views are beautiful!
The only things that I would make comment on was the initial cleanliness. The floors were dirty and needed to be swept and mopped upon our arrival. Since we had a toddler with us that was necessary. The play pins (Pack-n-play) units were very dirty and needed to be cleaned. There was one bathroom upstairs that the tub/shower hadn’t been cleaned in a while. And lastly, there is no A/C on the downstairs floor and some of the ceiling fans we couldn’t get the light to turn off while the fans were running. They did provide floor fans but 2 did not work; so we opted to purchase a few.
Overall though it was a fun experience and we had a wonderful time there.

MANSION ABOVE THE TREE TOPS
That’s the way our youngest grandson correctly described your beautiful home. Our family (7 adults and 5 grandchildren) had the most luxurious time together. The laughter and good times will be forever memories. From booking to check in (thank you Frankie) to check out - totally seamless. The home is wonderful, the pool is fantastic and the grounds are impeccably groomed. If our travels bring us back, we will definitely look for your home. We’ve already shared our experience and your information with friends. Thank you for making your paradise available to visitors!

We loved this house!
We loved the mountains behind the house, the pool, the space! We were not tripping over each other as everyone had their own room. The wrap around lanai was beautiful as we watched the sunrise and some sunsets each day. The trade winds helped keep the house cool each day. I would love to stay here again!

Great place to stay
Absolutely enjoyed our stay, great location, peaceful and relaxing environment. Some minor things could be improved, but nothing much to worry about, thank you.

We had great time
We shared this property with 4 families, 6 adults and 4 kids. It was great to have a pool as kids loved it and pretty much that was all they needed. For adults, it was great to have huge balcony with 180 degree stunning view. Since we arrived on the 4th of July, we could see 5 different fireworks all at once from our balcony. Also everyone loved the own bathroom attached to each room.
The house is in the quiet neighborhood but until we get to the house, we had to go through some rough neighborhood, which was not that pleasant scenery.
The other disappointment was that we had mice in the kitchen. We think they were coming from the pipe in the kitchen cabinets. We had two incidents during our 7 nights stay (the arriving day and the 5th day). When we called, property manager arranged to bring a mouse trap right away and we could catch one mouse on the same night. However, we still had to clean the kitchen and living room (because the mouse was running through the floor) and had to stay with a fear of mice for the whole time, so I took one star off because of that experience.
Otherwise, we had great time at the property. Due to the length of drive required from the house to go anywhere in the island, it was a bit of hassle for us to do much of sightseeing in Oahu (because one family had never came to Oahu before, we tried to visit many sightseeing places); however, if we are going there just to relax and enjoy pool and local beaches, this is a great property.

Quiet, beautiful property
The property is quietly nestled in a valley about 1/2 mile from the ocean. Gorgeous mountain and ocean views from wrap around lanai. Clean refreshing pool and beautifully landscaped grounds. About 45 min drive from airport. Other than some minor cosmetic issues, a fine relaxing property.

Disappointed
Not fully cleaned when we arrived! We went out to buy cleaning materials and airfreshner. AC, wifi, tv, lights did not work (only two days and not every room light). Great size for a big family and spacious. Awesome house view bathrooms for every room, but too expensive for the inconvenience we went through.

SUMMARY OF STAY
Hi Cynthia,
We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful house! We were very comfortable and we had most of the things needed to function as if we were in our own home.
My suggestion is for you to discuss with your property manager a better cleaner for your property. I think that your house can use a good cleaner especially with the bathrooms.
Thanks
