Our family had a wonderful stay at the Deer Path Guest House. The perfect spot for our family of 5 and pup! Lynn and James were the loveliest hosts and the local area can’t be beat.

Even though I ended up with a very rainy weekend, I enjoyed the beautiful property- a short but lovely walk over a stream, under old trees, by wildflowers to get to the water. The cottage was perfectly cozy to stay in and read by the sound of the rain.
Everything I needed was provided (except I couldn’t connect my laptop to the old tv lol), even some firewood for a fire.
I would come back and hope for better summer weather!

The cottage was such a beautiful escape! There's so much green space for our little kids and our dog to run free. Lynn and Jim were wonderful hosts who provided us with everything we needed, including plenty of outdoor activities including frisbees and a kayak to keep us entertained, and well stocked cookware in the kitchen. Our family would love to stay here again and make more memories!

Busy summer, had a weekend away to cycle for 2 days. Hosts were lovely, they even had a bin labled with dog towels and blanket. We had everything we needed. Would book again.

Had a lovely stay at the Deer Path Guest House and really enjoyed the time that we spent there. The place was really clean and very organized. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Even though the cottage/cabin is part of a larger property, we had all the privacy we needed during our stay. Highly recommend for anyone would like to spend some quiet time to unwind.

The house is very beautiful, it has everything necessary to spend a few quiet days, the location offers the peace to disconnect. We liked everything in general, we could rest, walk, go to the Blue Mountains so we could have a few days of enjoyment and relaxation at the same time.

The hosts make the experience even better as they are helpful, kind and welcoming.

Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing, and our little dog loved it, lots of interesting areas to investigate.
I wouldn't recommend this guest house for seniors, there is no bathroom on the second floor, and going up and down the stairs during the night was awkward.
This property is best suited for young to middle aged family's,
The Hosts on the other hand were very welcoming, and went beyond the usual to surprise us with a special greeting and a little gift.
The only other setback was; we arrived in wet weather and the gutter above the side door dripped constantly right overhead of the doorway.

Deer Path is a lovely well manicured lush property. There are fun trails in their small forest. There are 3 great stone beach areas to enjoy. The accommodations are clean, well organized and have everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Lynn and Jim are both wonderful hosts ( as well as their daughter) who greeted us when we arrived. We would love to return for another visit when we get the chance!

My wife & I + our adult daughter spent a relaxing five days enjoying this wonderful retreat. Since we were able to bring our dogs (Nova Scotia Duck Toller Retrievers), we all had a chance to thoroughly enjoy the lake. The property attached to the cottage is extensive and the views over the water are amazing All in all, a very enjoyable vacation with very accommodating hosts, Lynn, Jim and Sorche. Many thanks to them

Our family, 5 adults, one child, enjoyed our one-week stay very much. The accomodations were very accurately described. We enjoyed sitting by the water and a bit of wading near shore - just don't expect a fine sand beach. We enjoyed a couple evenings sitting around the firepit. The setting was very peaceful and amenities such as groceries and restaurant/takeout were close by.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. It was the perfect size for our family of 5 (plus my mum). We had everything we needed, the space is bigger than it looks. The beach is great if youre looking to perfect your rock skipping / climbing skills, *little kids love this* and swimming was so nice! Lynn and Jim made us feel like home. Bring a soccer ball or badminton net to fullly enjoy the very very large yard : )
NB: Bring aqua socks / neoprene water shoes... especially for the kids. You need them walking in the water. Forgot them? The 'apple' department store in town sells them.

The house is perfect for 4 people but can accommodate more. It had everything we needed to to cook and grill. If something was missing, our hosts, Lynn and Jim, told us to comer by the house and ask them for it. Location is perfect in its proximity to the water, access to the beach, patio furniture, etc. Highly recommend renting this property to anyone looking to get away for a holiday. It is also close enough to some awesome places that you can visit and come back to home base. Overall a really great experience only made better but the kindness of Lynn and Jim.

We stayed here for a couple days in September 2022. We really enjoyed our time there. The cottage is spacious, very well equipped and very clean. It is quite accurately depicted in the photos online. The property sits right on Georgian Bay and had a lovely little beach. Best of all, it was so quiet and peaceful. Such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hosts were great and responded quickly to whatever we needed. I would highly recommend this place.

My family and I absolutely adored our one week stay and Deer Path Guest house. Lynn and Jim, and their daughter, are not just amazing hosts but also exceptional people. They made us feel very welcome and they were so very kind and attentive. The Guest house is immaculate and was also extremely well-equipped with everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The property itself is amazing with beautifully manicured lawns and gardens and the yard for the Guest house is huge and allowed our boys to play football, Frisbee and other activities. The private beach on Jim and Lynn's property was amazing. I just wish that I had spent more time there looking out at the water as it was so calming and relaxing. This was definitely one of our family's favourite vacations and we cannot wait to visit again next summer (if Lynn and Jim are willing to have us back)!!! Thank you again to the exceptional hosts and for allowing us to make wonderful family memories at Deer Path guest house.

Gracious hosts. Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Great location. Beautiful sunrise. The only thing that could have been done to make our stay better, would be if someone turned up the water temperature in Georgian Bay while we were there:)
This was my second visit and will definitely be back for a third!

Wow! I went there , seeking for calm and peace (yes, with my young kids, as it would be possible...🤣) And it was perfect! Literally on the shores of the lake. The photographer in me was thrilled! Lynn and her daughter were super welcoming and friendly! I highly recommend deer path!

This little gem was way better than we expected! All the little details were there! We spend Christmas at Deer Paths to be closer from our youngest son and just a few minutes from the ski hill. We did Blue Mountain and Horseshoe Valley. We will definitely come back if we are in the neighborhood! You won’t be disappointed!

The property is beautiful. Enjoyed that the tv played only dvds and vrc. My 12 yr old learned how to play a vrc and how to rewind it lol. There is lots of board games and books. The home is beautiful. We spent the 2 days in Blue Montain, next visit I will definitely be enjoying more what the property has to offer. 100% recommend!
