About this house rental
Viva La Kiva is a beautiful beachfront home with true coastal feel, 6 King bedrooms, each with a private bath, an elevator, and a private 10'x28' private pool that can be heated from October to May for $60 per day. It has amazing views with broad porches that span the width of each of the three levels of the house.
Plus you'll have FREE Golf and Activities every day of your stay to make it even better (value of up to $700/day). Sorry, Kiva Dunes is not one of the courses that participates in the free activities program but is available to play at normal rates. Free rounds are available at Gulf Shores Golf Club, Lost Key, and Soldier's Creek.

Beautiful condo, great location. There were four families staying for one week & everyone enjoyed their stay. Didn’t feel cramped as the condo is very spacious. Loved the pool & the elevator came in very handy as we had two family members with mobility restrictions.had a couple of minor problems during our stay which were corrected quickly. One thing I’d bring to the owner’s attention is garbage pick up. The bins were not taken out on designated garbage day & bins were over full before the next pickup day. Minor problem but wanted to let you know. Overall a very pleasant week & would definitely recommend facility to everyone.Thanks

Do you ever look at a big 6 brm rental property only to see not enough space on the couches? Not enough chairs at the dining table? Only a handful of loungers around the pool? Deck not big enough? Not here! This big beautiful house was perfect for our stay with 3 generations and extended family. Lots of room to gather with plenty of seats for everyone both inside and out. Plus plenty of spaces to spread out when you need some quiet time. The pool and deck area was a great place to get some sun or read in the shade. The elevator was a bonus. The house was very clean with comfortable beds. And you pretty much have the beach to yourself. Quiet secluded area to relax and unwind. It’s a little drive to town for groceries, etc, but well worth it to be away from it all. Stop at the Beignet Cafe, they are made to order and are piping hot and delicious. Definitely recommend this rental. We will be back.

What a wonderful time my family had!! Nobody wanted to leave! There were 12 of us in the house, ages 11-75. We had tons of room to spread out. The house was clean and tidy top to bottom. We had ONE issue at the house, on our first night, and they were out within an HOUR to correct it! My family LIVED in the beautiful pool for most of the trip. My family wants to come back and stay again SOON, and so do I!! Side note-we were provided a variety of free or reduced price activities to go to around the area. My nephews did the free golf and they had a great time. Just be aware: If you come around Spring Break, the area is loaded with families. The small stores could not handle all the demand for groceries. It was the same for many of the restaurants. Be prepared to either have some groceries with you when you arrive, or to take the 10 minute ride into town to shop there. A small grocery store near us would not have eggs in again for 2 days! We drove into town and the store was LOADED with eggs!! Thank You for a fabulous time!

Amazing house and property with everything that is needed. The kids loved being able to go from the pool to the beach and then back and forth again and again. For a house of this size it was amazing how clean and spotless it was. Hats off to the cleaning crew that takes care of this property. We all had a great time. The location is great, away from the hustle and bustle, but only a few minutes drive to all the great restaurants. I cannot say enough positive things about Viva La Kiva. We had never been to the beach during the winter and were looking for a great place to hang out, play games, and be together. The house is located on the Fort Morgan peninsula, and it was so peaceful. The property is about 15 miles from the main highway in Gulf Shores, but that's exactly what we wanted for our family. There is a Dollar General about four miles away, and there are a couple of restaurants there as well. The walk to the beach is very simple, and there are protected dunes on either side of the walkway. So its beautiful, and gives the feeling of even being more remote than you actually are. The service was fantastic! I was given a number to call or text during my stay. They were always responsive and knew everything about the house. On day three, we lost our pool heat. I contacted them, and men came to discover our heater was out of gas. They came on NEW YEAR's EVE!! I was blown away. They were so friendly, and told us when the pool would be ready and they were exactly right!It had plenty of room for 11 of us. The extra large living and dining areas were what I appreciated most. All 11 of us could be the same room with chairs to spare. It was so nice! I would recommend Viva La Kiva to anyone who has a large family and wants to be together. The space is amazing, up to date, and decorated beautifully. There are six bedrooms and an equal number of bathrooms. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon!

Very nice place. Enjoyed our stay and plan on staying again. The only real downfalls were that the pool wasn't heated when we arrived and took a couple of days to get warm...and not to the 88degrees advertised. The elevator was also hit or miss...needs to be looked at. All in all we love Gulf Shores and the house. Next year we will pick a warmer time of year to enjoy the ocean.

We loved our stay and rebooked for next year. Especially loved the round dining table that seated 13 perfectly! However we trust that the water filter/dispenser on refrigerator in kitchen will be fixed. (We had to bring in many gallons of water for coffee and drinking as we were told in grocery to not drink the tap water) AND we hope all doors and accesses are properly secure. We had several sliding glass doors that would not lock properly.
We look forward to next yr. With an extra day added.

Beautiful home, the pictures don't do it justice. Worked perfectly for our family, giving each of my 4 kids family's their privacy as well as more than enough common space for meals, games, and fun both inside and out. We had 3 occasions to contact the owner during our stay with questions and they got back to us immediately and solved our concern. Best hosts! Location is 25 minute drive from town, but worth it if you value privacy and want to treat yourself like the rich and famous for a week ~ If you have the opportunity to spend a week in paradise, I highly recommend Viva La Kiva.

We had a wonderful time. The house had recently been updated and painted. The towel racks and toilet paper holders were not up yet which was a pain but the inside remodel was great. We enjoyed the private beach and the new kitchen was nice. It could use some additional kitchen gadgets but overall it was well equipped. Some of the doors did not lock but they are all new doors and windows. I just think it wasn’t completely ready for guests yet after the remodel but we enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again someday.

I have rented many houses on the beach around the Gulf Shores area over the years, this one was absolutely the best. Condition of the property, amenities, location, communication, and service were all excellent. We had 10 adults and 3 small children in our group and all were very comfortable. The only concern I had was after having to book the property 1 year in advance and paying the full price by the 6 month mark, there was no relief for canceling after 6 months or in the case of hurricane, no refund of any kind. A house this big, 6 bedrooms, is for several families who have to make plans a year in advance. Life happens in that period of time and if all the parties can’t make the trip, you have over spent for the size of the property.

This house meets the needs of our big family. It has 6 nice king size beds that pleases everyone. The pool is wonderful to have available with younger children in our group. The house is clean and well maintained. If any issue come up maintenance takes care of it quickly, anything from the coffee pot dying to the internet going out because of a lightning strike. But I think one of the best things about this house beach. There are so few people on this area of the beach, you have a very large area to yourself.

This was my family's fifth time to rent Viva La Kiva [including 2021 when we could not occupy it due to incomplete repairs from a prior hurricane]. We love this place and especially its location on a much less busy section of beautiful beach. The house is special, but it still needs a fair amount of maintenance [several door latches do not work, mold in a couple of the bathrooms, torn screen in the downstairs screen door, and damage to the recently replaced flooring on the top floor] but is still a special house. We would love to be able to continue renting this unit for years to come, but we are taking next year off to explore Yellowstone and thereby are knocked off from being able to automatically reserve in 2024 going forward.

Perfect Family Beach Week
The location was perfect for our family. The house was absolutely beautiful and designed to allow for large gatherings and privacy as desired. We all loved the pool (especially the younger grandchildren ages 2 - 7) and easy walk down to the beach. We were far enough from everyone else to appease my reclusive husband, yet the teenage grandkids could easily drive into Gulf Shores/Orange Beach and do their thing. Our grown children and their families were even able to catch at concert in Orange Beach during our stay. There are many choices for dining within a reasonable driving distance. The Dunes Grill is very close and has great food! The kitchen is well equipped so cooking family meals together is also a great option. We are booked again for next year.
