The mountains of Montana offer beauty and tranquility that need to be experienced to be believed. Majestic surroundings - including the waters of Lake Whitefish and incredible slopes for skiing - deserve an equally majestic home, and that's exactly what you and your group will get with this spacious, upscale lodge! From nearby slope access to luxurious amenities like a private hot tub, your mountain getaway is looking better than ever!
Nestled just below Whitefish Resort's 'Big Mountain,' this lodge for 12 has road access to the resort itself. The dining and shopping of downtown Whitefish are just seven miles away, but with a hot tub on the deck providing a view of Whitefish Lake, staying at home can be tempting, too!
You'll be absolutely floored by this home's rustic, down-home atmosphere, complete with log-cabin-inspired walls, dark brown colors on the upscale furnishings, and touches like an antler chandelier in the dining room. Despite this folksy aesthetic, the rich leather in the furnishings, along with the spacious design and replete amenities, give the home a sense of high-end comfort you're sure to appreciate after a long day on the slopes.
Step inside from the deck and relax in the great room, with overstuffed leather sofas and chairs and a crackling stonework fireplace to warm you up. This home provides a good chance to unplug and spend time with the people that matter most, but that hardly means you'll be going without entertainment - another living room offers more comfortable seating along with a flatscreen cable TV, and there is WiFi available.
Cooking for a dozen people is no mean feat, but the fully equipped kitchen makes it easier than ever! Stainless steel appliances, plenty of cookware, and ample space on the granite countertops provide a great space for cooking, with a grill on the deck giving even more options. Take a seat at the nearby table for ten and chow down.
Twelve guests will have no trouble getting nice and comfortable, with five bedrooms, one loft, and three-and-a-half bathrooms spread throughout the house. Two of the bedrooms boast luxurious king-size beds, with one even boasting a nearby bath with a shower and heart-shaped tub. Two more bedrooms have generous queen beds, with the final room offering an elegant wood-framed twin bunk bed for kids. The loft's sleeper sofa rounds out your options. Freshen up in one of the bathrooms, pick up clean clothes from your private washer and dryer, and get ready for adventure!
In addition to nearby skiing, your home is just 33 miles away from family-friendly hiking and camping at Glacier National Park! Even closer is the quaint town of Whitefish, where you can treat everyone to a night out of shopping and dining. Summertime visitors, in particular, won't want to miss the town's proximity to the nearby lake, where they can enjoy swimming in its waters and relax on its sandy shores.

House was perfect for our family vacation. The view is spectacular of Whitefish Lake. Kitchen is well equipped to cook any meal. Plenty of room for our family to relax after a day of exploring Glacier and Whitefish.

Wow, what a great view and an awesome place! We used all of the place and were plenty busy in the area, so really didn't miss not having TV's in all the rooms. We did use the hot tub and enjoyed it most nights! Got good reports about all beds! Thanks!

The home was spacious and clean. We loved the hot tub and upper and lower patio decks. Easy access to the city (Whitefish). Highly recommend! 🙂

Great house, location and view. Plenty of room. Very close to the mountain .

I did a surprise 40th for my husband and one of our very close friends. We had some friends join for a fun weekend getaway! Was such a great trip and an amazing house. Super cozy, beds were great. Fit all 10 of us great. It says it sleeps 12 but i dont get how. Id definitely book it again. Only thing was that the dishwasher wasn't working so that would have been nice to know ahead of time.

This is a beautiful home. It has plenty of room for our whole family. Most of the lights in the house are dimmable, and there are a bunch of different sets of lights, so it took us a minute to figure out where all the switches are and how to turn them on, but it was kind of cool to be able to dim the lights everywhere. The dishwasher didn't work because we couldn't close the door all the way, then we noticed that there was a note on the door from maintenance that said "Must shut hard" so we tried slamming the door a bunch of times. The whole dishwasher moved, but the door still didn't close. We decided to just give up and let Vacasa know. They said that they would note the dishwasher issue and we just hand washed the dishes the rest of our stay. I changed the maintenance not to say, "Must fix door," but something tells me it won't matter. Also, the jets in the master bathtub didn't work. My husband got himself all excited to use the jetted tub and then the jets wouldn't work. He was sitting in there trying to stay positive, but looking pretty pitiful at the same time. 🤣 All in all, it was a beautiful home. It was as clean as you can expect a log cabin to get. Oh, also, the mattresses were all this stuff memory foam. We had about 6 people in our party complaining about it, but my dad and my brother said it was the best sleep they ever got, so make what you wish out of it. It was a good stay though. A great place to get a large family together. Lastly, an alarm went off saying that there was an intruder on the lower level one night. We checked it out and didn't see anything. 20 minutes later a sheriff showed up to check it out. So I'd say there's definitely security. But then the next day a guy walked around back to service the hot tub and no alarms went off, so we're still trying to figure out what exactly sets the alarm off.

Easy check-in and checkout. Well appointed home good for large families. Excellent and well stocked chef's kitchen and large dining table for family meals. Huge decks with cute of the lake and distant mountains. Beautiful sunrises. Home is about 15 mins from the town of Whitefish. Not easy to find home in the dark first time (Google maps is a bit short of the driveway and house number is up in a tree). It is a bit of a drive up the mountain on paved roads (if that's worries you). We had a lovely stay and would definitely rent again if we came to ski.

Very nice place with great views. Easy check in/check out. Spacious enough for 6 people, and kitchen has everything you need to cook in as well. 10-15min drive to downtown whitefish. Beautiful house!

This property is exactly as described, but better than the pictures show. It is a huge and set up so you can have some separation of space too. All of us could fit around the kitchen table, which was a huge plus because a lot of other properties don't offer that. Was set up for little kids too (high chair, crib, playroom, etc). The views were amazing! Very close to get to first run...but easy drive to get to main part of ski resort. We will definitely stay here again next year!

Views were great, house was equipped with everything we needed (except kitchen towels for cleaning,) and lots of room for everyone. The check out was super early and we had a cleaning team waiting outside in the driveway as we were still loading stuff into our truck 15 mins before check out. They were coming in to clean as we were still gathering a few final things. Other than that, great stay.

Although the location of this property was prime we were very disappointed in her three things primarily. Number one, the cleaning was subpar. It appeared to be surface clean but when you got looking closer there were lots of spiderwebs and dust in the corners or areas that were difficult to reach. The oven had a note on it stating it was not in working condition. The gas grill ran out of propane and there was an extra tank in the garage, however it was empty as well! The fireplace did not work. The maintenance man did come out and he confirmed that it was not in working order. This VRBO is listed as a gourmet kitchen but it was definitely not that with non-functioning items. The fireplace was also a huge disappointment especially since it adds to the ambience of being in Montana. The hot tub was a nice amenity and aid maintenance man came out and checked on it twice while we were there which was nice. I was in communication with the Vacasa about all of these items mentioned above and no offer to make adjustments in price was given.

Beautiful Luxury Cabin!!!
My friends and I had a fantastic stay in this home. The views were undeniably incredible. The home was very clean. The check in process was so easy -- no delays in having to pick up keys or anything like that. The proximity to the mountain was so close! The home itself was tucked away nicely so it never felt like we could hear or see the neighbors. Overall 5/5 and would definitely stay again.

Forever views
The en-suite with views gave my elderly parents the most restful, beautiful vacation! My mother enjoyed the kitchen while my kids and I hit the slopes. Dreamy.

Montana Rocks
The layout of the house was a bit odd. We enjoyed our stay however it would’ve been nice to know that the owners leave their car in the garage and the garage was affectively not usable for the entire trip. The house also needed to be cleaned properly and the dishes done when we arrived which is also a little inconvenient because the last thing you want to do is do dishes when you arrive on your vacation. The house was pleasant the hot tub was great and we enjoyed the trip nonetheless. Montana rocks

Awesome location
We had a great trip. The property is beautiful and a lovely kitchen. The location is just gorgeous. The internet is intermittent and perhaps needs to be improved.

The house was so comfortable and perfect size for my family. They view from every window are beautiful and the deer made us all smile.
There are a few things that could use attention. Many lightbulbs were out all over the house. I went in the garage, found bulbs and replaced what I could ( there were not enough bulbs to replace all) the house felt like the cleaning was mediocre...we did a light cleaning as well. Overall the house was beautiful enough that I give it a 5. I hope to return to your home and will request the few issues I have be addressed before we come.

This property is perfect for large groups. There were 8 in our family and this house has plenty of room. The two large decks on the rear of the house have breathtaking views of Whitefish Lake and the surrounding mountains. I would definitely stay here again.

Sorry, but NO
Too many problems to list. We rent over $1000/night often. This house was unkept and broken... (dead animal smell in garage, kitchen sink leaked and flowed thru drywall/celing into "baby room" closet, I had to shovel walkway into front door, BBQ, and hot tub upon arrival, downstairs bedrooms never warmed up, because owner had car in garage, we had to park 1/4 vehicles in cup-de-sac, which was ticketed... OMG, I could keep going but getting bored. Oh, hot tub water stunk like nasty.... Sorry, but a pretty bad house compared to all other $1000+ I've rented. I DO NOT recommend. Sorry :)

Nice views but not child friendly, had mold issue, fireplace inopp., dirty dishes.
The bad:
One of the closets was filled with black mold and mildew. This gave the guest headaches in the downstairs bedrooms. This must’ve been an ongoing issue because when we brought it to the attention of the management they sent a plumber out to fix the upstairs sink.
Most of the dishes were put away dirty. I believe they must’ve been washed with bacon grease pans or something.
The fireplace which was the centerpiece of the house was inoperable. There was a note stating a repair person was coming out but unfortunately they did not make the repairs during our stay. Hopefully that will be done soon.
The home appeared child friendly from the pictures but unfortunately it is not. The stairs are very dangerous and the baby gate was broken. We had to put furniture in front of the stairs and constantly keep an eye on the children.
The snow does pile up on back porch so that’s not usable space in winter.
There not a tv in the living room but there are two others, odd design.
The Good:
The views of the lake are incredible. The hot tub is a major plus. You are only a short drive to the base or village. Vacasa staff was pleasant and stated this was unusual and they were going to address some of the issues. The home could be made child friendly with 3 baby gates.
Conclusion:
If the repairs are made and you don’t mind driving to the slopes not a terrible choice but there may be better options in this price range.

Beautiful home with amazing views
We had a birthday trip for 3 couples at this lovely home. It was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do, Hiking and fishing in Glacier as well as hiking right out the front door on the Big Mountain at Whitefish. The house was very clean with comfortable beds. The kitchen was nice and big for us to cook meals in for most of the trip. The views out over the lake were beautiful.

Amazing view and location!
This is a large home located close to the ski hill and has a fabulous view of the lake and the valley. It is quiet, private and is surrounded by beautiful forest. The location couldn't be better. The common areas and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and it was great for our annual family ski weekend with kids and grandkids. Lots of bathrooms too.
Only negatives were that it wasn't very clean and the kitchen garbage had not been emptied (and smelled pretty bad). The dishwasher was not emptied and was packed so tight that we took a third of the dishes out and ran it through the cycle again to get the dishes clean. There were peanuts under the sofa, other things under the stove, miscellaneous playing cards under the kitchen table and the kitchen sink was very greasy (as were most of the pots and pans). The oven smoked from the grease build-up. Two of the toilets plugged during our 3 night stay -- both were cleared with the plunger but it seems maybe this is a common occurrence? The pull-out sofa on the lower level was extremely uncomfortable and we ended up juggling things around so everyone could have a good bed. We ended up with 2 teenagers sharing one bed. Luckily one of our group couldn't come and dropped out at the last minute -- otherwise we would not have had enough beds for all. (There are no condiments, spices, foil or plastic wrap so make sure you bring your own.) It's a bit worn in places but was obviously quite grand when it was built. Other than these small things, it was a great place to stay and we had a wonderful time.

Amazing views
This cabin has amazing views! We loved the layout and had plenty of room Had trouble getting in the first time then needed maintenance to come to open garage door. Property managers and maintenance gave superb service. The cabin was a little dated. There was old food left in the fridge and used diapers in the trash compactor.
