Upon arrival, we were greeted with extensive construction vehicles on the beach. Apparently they were reinforcing the beach & dunes. It would have been great if we were notified of this in advance. One of the major reasons we booked here is for the view/atmosphere of watching the beach/ocean. They finished in our area on our last day! We would have changed our booking if we had known. Also, a large roach in the kitchen & an unknown insect in the 2nd bedroom. At least one lamp didn’t work & the remote for the ceiling fan needed a new battery. These last 2 issues were taken care of quickly & we were given a can of Raid for the bugs! I know it’s Florida, but ew! This unit was not nearly as well cleaned or taken care of as unit 10. Our biggest disappointment was the beach, having to walk everywhere just to access the beach, when it’s right outside our window. And the equipment went on for most of the night & the whole week we were there.

This is my second stay at this condo but it won’t be my last. I love the location, it’s just a short drive to everything and it’s second floor so you have a beautiful view of the ocean. We definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet that seems to be the standard in this complex.

Our rental was exactly how it was described online. Everything from the check in/out process to the location was great. The place was very clean, had everything we needed. It was our home for our vacation and the owners made it so inviting. Hand and dish soap was provided, as well as toilet paper and paper towels to get started before we were able to get to the store. We had beautiful views of the sunrise and ocean from our large deck. It is the perfect location-steps to the beach and in walking distance of many restaurants and shops on the beach road. And only a short drive into town, shopping. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends as well.

The property is beautiful. The view is fantastic. The check in is confusing. They make you go to an offsite office to get a code to enter the condo. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and have never had to do this. They just email or text the code a few days before arrival. The second negative is there is no live TV. It is difficult to log in to any apps on the TV. For the price and location there should be live TV.

Our password didn't work. They did dealer with it, but took awhile. For three days the apartment above us was remodeling with power tools and hammers. We couldn't enjoy the condo during the day.

This condo was in a great location, just steps from the beach. We loved sitting on the patio in the morning watching the sun rise and listening to the ocean. The condo is in a great location in conjunction with historic St. Augustine as well. There are also good restaurants just down the street and family entertainment also. The advertisement stated it didn’t have beach towels or chairs, but to our relief, there was. SO BONUS. Nothing worse than renting stuff like that. It was a very nicely appointed place and we really enjoyed our stay. The place where you get your parking passes is also easy to get to...It’s maybe 10 minutes from the condo. We would definitely stay there again.

My family started coming to Island South over 30 years ago and now my husband and I have started bringing our three sons. We love the location and beach access. This was by far my favorite unit we have stayed in. The view is fantastic, and the second floor location allows for ocean breeze. The condo was clean and well maintained. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of bath towels and linens for 6 people. We will definitely be back!

Condo was beautiful and clean. Check in process was a little unclear with multiple codes provided for the front door and beach access which was slightly confusing. Also, please keep in mind that during hurricane season they don’t seem very flexible with changing reservations due to a storm. However, we were unaffected and the location was great with nice, clean living quarters for all so we were happy.

We arrived and were surprised to see that the condo has been completely remodeled and is better than the listing shows. The front bedroom does get hot and really could use a ceiling fan like the master has. The condo was clean and cozy. It’s also a fantastic location where you can walk to nearby restaurants. If we are ever in the area we will certainly try to stay there again.

Lots of missing light bulbs, housekeeping showed up too early and walked in without knocking. Never got a response on an email sent with a question during visit. Relatively minor concerns. Condo was clean on arrival, beautiful beach front views.

If you want to be close to the water with a great view thats what you get. It was clean enough but had to wash some kitchenware before using it. Kitchen supplies were soso & disorganized, some drawers about to fall out. Also had damp sheets & towels when we arrived. I’m a bit fussy, other than that we enjoyed our stay

The view from the condo is gorgeous. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the location and proximity to restaurants and downtown. Our first impression was that the unit was not as clean as we expected for the amount of money spent on this rental. Upon arrival, there was sand on the kitchen and laundry room floors. The master shower did not appear clean and there was an unused bar of soap in the shower stall. Overall, it just feels like the condo needs a deep clean. A few things in the condo are also in need of repair. The blinds in the master bedroom are falling apart and we had to hang a sheet up to keep out the sunrise in the mornings. Both patio doors are extremely hard to open from the outside, only my husband was strong enough to open the doors from outside. The master toilet runs continuously and you have to jiggle the handle to get it to stop. The ceiling fan on the patio does not work. To us the carpet did not appear to be the cleanest and we all kept our shoes on while indoors and didn't want to walk barefoot on it. We also found 6 cockroach type bugs. One of which was found in the coffee maker, so needless to say we went out for coffee every morning. The others were found on the kitchen and the bathroom floors. We bought some bug spray because we did not want to risk bringing these guys home with us. They also did not stock the unit well....we only had 3 trashbags and there were no extra rolls of toilet paper, nor was there any soap to wash your hands. We always stay at rentals on vacation and we have never had to buy trash bags or TP. There is a guest book in the condo which echoed some of the same concerns I have mentioned. I emailed Vacation Rental Pros and they responded to my second email that they would have a property manager check into our concerns and they also offered us 10% off our next stay with them. I would stay at Island South again, but I would not stay in the same unit. I have always rented from individual owners, not sure if I will rent from a company again.

Sliding doors need repaired or replaced. EXTREMELY HARD TO OPEN AND CLOSE! Plumbing problems--when you flush the toilet in the guest bathroom, it bubbles up into master bathroom toilet--not a pleasant experience in the middle of the night. Master toilet has very weak flush, have to hold the handle down to clear the bowl. Master bedroom wall had 12"x12" patch that was never painted. The non-stick coating on the pots and pans has worn away and rusted. They need to be replaced. Range hood had a light burned out. Why was our reservations transferred from VRBO to Vacation Rental Pros and charged an additional $95.00? In the future we will only book with owners.
