What a wonderful home for our multi generational family. The kitchen was fully stocked for our cooking needs. The beds were so comfortable. It was so nice to have such great beach towels for the 12 of us. Just a great place!!!!

Spent 10 days in this amazing house with a group of 10 family members. Had a great time, perfect location in the Mauna Lani area. Kitchen well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. Great outdoor space, we used the grill on the lanai several times. Would definitely stay here again.

This home exceeded the listing in almost every way. Plenty of room, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautifully appointed and of course the views. Quiet and well maintained development that was convenient to everything we wanted to do. Great swimming and exploring options on site, and some excellent beach parks a short drive away. Lastly, communication was excellent. We had two small items we contacted the owners about and they were addressed immediately. Would definitely come back.

We booked Bonnie’s home for a multi-generational family vacation, with my parents, siblings, and our respective children (from both Japan and the US) and couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. From the start, Bonnie was kind and communicative, and let us know when the home was available for an earlier check-in time. The house is spacious, beautifully appointed, immaculate in terms of cleanliness, and in a perfect location. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai in the morning and evening, cooking big family dinners (the kitchen has everything you need), and we all slept well in the comfortable beds and bedrooms after days packed with play. We were a large group (12 in all), and the home has enough space such that we could enjoy our communal “together time” and also have privacy in the individual bedrooms as needed. Mauna Lani’s Beach Club was perfect for the little ones in our group, while the rest of us explored the many great beaches within short driving distances from the house. (The garage is well stocked with boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, and umbrellas). Other highlights of our trip included a drive up to Mauna Kea for stargazing and watching an amazing sunset and moonrise, and snorkeling to see Manta Rays. All in all, this home proved to be an absolutely perfect home base. We plan to book again for future trips to the Big Island.

Beautiful home, very clean, and room for our multi- generation family (grandparents, 5 adult children and a 3 1/2 yr old) to spread out yet be together comfortably.
Home was generously stocked with extra sheets and towels- including a wedge to turn the room with 2 Extra long twin beds into a King.)
Very explicit directions for access to the property were provided.
Great open floor plan, air conditioned, very comfortable beds with lanai area off each room.
The sunset view from the lanai near the living/dining area was gorgeous.
Beautiful community pool in this gated community,
The Beach Club access card that was provided gave us access to a wonderful beach cove. The day we spent at The Beach Club, snorkeling off the life-guarded beach was THE BEST! We all really appreciated all the garage items that allowed us to enjoy the beach - umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and beach towels.
We brought our own snorkel, mask and water/scuba booties and saw lots of beautiful tropical fish.
Thanks for a great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer, and hope to be back again!

We encountered multiple inconveniences and deficiencies (leaking pipe flooding under sink, dirty kitchen appliances, coffee and grounds still in pot from prior tenant, broken couch on lanai, jammed unusable screen door to lanai, dirty grill with malfunctioning starters, window screens not fitted to windows which repeatedly pop off, broken table lamp). On one occasion a bird flew in after a screen popped off and after helping it out, we cleaned several poops off floor and on furniture. We did enjoy our week long family gathering and were good natured and accommodating with the host. Agreed to minimize use of leaking sink and repeatedly empty basin collecting the water. I sent a kind message upon departure to our host and suggested she remedy the various problems prior to next occupancy. We were totally dismayed at her charging the maximum “property damage deposit” stating “unclean” and “indoor furniture left outside” (we did leave one ottoman on the covered lanai used the morning of departure for seating since the sofa on the lanai was broken). She complained of sand left on the floor and sent a photo showing minimal sand on the floor of the entry (a beach house!) and sent a photo of a bird poop on a windowsill blaming us for it! We still await resolution and have not yet received our deposit back. VRBO folks reviewing this case are helpful and reassuring that we will get our deposit back but it is an arduous process and certainly soured our otherwise fun family vacation.

Breathtaking home right when you walk through the front door! The pictures do not do it justice. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Perfect for a large family to enjoy a Hawaiian holiday. We cannot wait to visit again!

We came to Hawaii with three generations of family. It's our third time in Kamilo. This home sets up well for us. Kamilo has good amenities and the pool/exercise facilities got good use. We'll be returning here again for a family vacation, when we return to Hawaii.

We loved our stay at this home. We had 8 adults and 2 kids and fit very comfortably. There is a lot of equipment in the kitchen to prepare a variety of group meals. The community pool and beach areas were fantastic for swimming and snorkeling. Lots of equipment for playing at the beach at the house, too. We would happily come back. Thanks for the welcoming stay Bonnie!

My spouse and I, our daughters, sons, sons-in-law, and grandchildren spent the week here in early January. It was fabulous! The house is beautiful and comfortable, as are the grounds, and facilities. Would definitely stay here again!

Our multi-generational family had a wonderful time in this lovely home. The location is great for excursions around the island, but also has a nearby beach perfect for snorkeling for adults and children. And the pool with its super-shallow end for a toddler just learning to love water was a great addition. Nice restaurants and a convenient market made it a relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

We invited our 2 children and their families PLUS our siblings, 3 brothers and 1 sister and their spouses to join us in this celebration. They were not there all at the same time but came in small groups so we would have room for all. Never more than 12 and usually 5 to 10. The house worked out just perfect. We switched bedrooms a few times to accommodate who was there and that was also fine. We had a 1 year old so much appreciated the pack'n play and the gate for the stairs. There were plenty of pots/pans for the kitchen, good size refrigerator. We loved the open space upstairs and the outside lanai where we spent our evenings enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Having a 5 year old and a 1 year old with us we moved some of the items on top of tables and stored them in the closets to avoid accidents. We all enjoyed the pools and access to the beach. GREAT beach for kids and adults snorkling. Loved having the supermarket nearby too. A few of the restaurants in "our" shopping area were closed while we were there but there were enough at the Waikoloa Beach Resort a few miles down the road. The place was quiet and peaceful and I slept in all the rooms at least 1 night and slept well in all of them. I can highly recommend this place for families with or without children. Bonnie the host, was also very acommodating and replied to all our questions before we arrived and after getting there. Thank you, Bonnie. We enjoyed our stay and considering returning for our 55th.

This place was unbelievable. Phenomenal location, stunning views, and all the amenities one could need. Contact with the host was simple and straightforward. My friends and I had an incredible time staying here and would recommend to anyone coming to the big island!

The property was clean and very comfortable for a family of 6, including 2 grandparents. Access to the Beach Club was a great amenity to have, as the beaches were clean and had great snorkeling and swimming close to shore. Would definitely recommend to other families.

Bonnie was super responsive to any questions I had. Home was meticulously kept and well decorated. Access to the beach club was a huge perk and there were plenty of beach chairs and snorkel gear to take with. The pool area was also very nice and just a short walk from the house. Wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.

This home was perfect for our family! Lots of room for all of us. Way better way to go than a hotel! Full kitchen allows for meals to be cooked rather than trying to eat out every meal. Has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay! The property manager was wonderful to work and communicate with. We’re so appreciative. Great time!

This neighborhood and house are fantastic. Our communication with Bonnie was top notch and she responded to everything very quickly! We had a group of 11 and it worked out perfectly. A couple pieces of advice, if you have a large group, I would plan on buying some bags of ice for drinks and such, but I’d do the same at home for a group of 11, so just plan accordingly. The dryer does have some issues, not sure if it was user error or if it was malfunctioning, Bonnie did say she’s look into it.

This house was amazing for our family vacation! Super clean. Well stocked kitchen, tons of fresh bath and beach towels. Plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, snorkel gear and toys in the garage. Beds are comfortable. View out the back was amazing.
Foodland, in the Mauna Lani shopping center, is only 3 minutes away and has amazing fresh poke every day (but you have to go in the morning or they sell out). Night snorkeling with the manta rays is a must.
Definitely the best place to stay on the big island!

We brought our kids and grandkids to the big island for a Christmas present. The house was perfect we loved everything about it and especially all the extras like beach gear, beach towels and baby stuff. We had 8 adults and 4 kids ages 10, 8, 2 and 9 months. Our favorite part was opening the window wall to the deck every morning and seeing the beautiful view and hearing the birds. Thank you very much!

The property is located in a very nice gated neighborhood, with food mart and restaurants located nearby in walking distance. House itself is super clean and very spacious, will definitely refer to my friends to stay for their travel.

We have stayed in the MauniLani area two times and just love it. The house was just beautiful and the best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in. The view from the Lani is beautiful. We would book this property again. This location is perfect to all the beautiful beaches and some excellent restaurants. Our host Bonnie was excellent to deal with as well. Missing it already.

Our Family had an amazing time at this beautiful house! We had 12 family members and this house worked out extremely well! The location and grounds were beautiful! I would highly recommend staying here for your vacation.

Our family had a wonderful stay. Traveling with teenagers, it’s nice for everyone to have their own space to sleep or veg out. Each bedroom downstairs has access to a private patio to hide away and read. The house is well stocked with basic amenities. The upstairs patio with open access to the family room was a favorite group hangout area.
2 minute drive to good grocery store. 8 min drive to great state beach with excellent waves for boogie boarding. 5 min drive to nice beach club for easy parking and a beach with no waves - good for snorkeling, paddle boarding, or little kids.
My only wish was we had an ocean view…but can’t get everything! :)
Bonnie was great and super responsive to texts. She even put up a Christmas tree and left my kids presents! Would definitely recommend.

Well-kept and luxurious retreat
This property is absolutely beautiful and in extremely good condition. After a long day of exploring the island, this home provides a wonderfully comfortable and calming place to retreat. We had a group of 10 and all guests had their own private and secluded space to get away while offering a cozy open gathering space on the main floor. The lanai offers a beautiful extension of the main living space while allowing you to enjoy the sounds of the outdoors. The private beach offers great snorkeling with calm waters for little ones. This home is a gem. You will not be disappointed if you book!
