8 nights in a Shanklin caravan

Kitchen has everything, DVD player, parking nearby. Quiet location. Supermarkets on the doorstep. In the evening the kids went off to play football and in the arcade using the onsite facilities. Two bathrooms was great for a family of 5.

The WiFi is poor. The smoke alarm was very sensitive, every fried breakfast set it off even with all Windows open in preparation!

Absolutely Perfect🥰

The pitch was great your put the way but can still interact with the others staying on the caravan park. Stella who is the owner the caravan is amazing always checking if everything was okay and if we needed anything she would be more than happy to help. will definitely staying here again. The caravan park its self it in the center of everything only about 7 minute walk to the town and 15 min walk to the beach.

Loved the site,Lower Hyde staff excellent,just not this unit

Peeling wallpaper in bathroom Black mould kitchen sink Poor lighting all through and none in second bedroom as bulb had gone ! Owner said she knew but didn't think it would matter !! When notified she said she didn't know we would want both bedrooms as there was only 2 of us despite e mailing us that both bedrooms would be made up. After several messages back and forth she started sending sarcastic emoji's and said no one would listen to to me as she has such good ratings on Trip Advisor. The caravan is roomy and well stocked with plates cutlery etc, everything you need but the sheets were old and bobberly making them rough.

The caravan was lovely, had everything we needed plus more and in a great location .The owner communicated well with us to help assist us in our stay, and was very friendly!! Definitely recommend for families!!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I recommend this caravan to anyone.

Stella, the owner has worked very hard to make such a homely environment. Leaving a pack of biscuits for us was a lovely touch. The en suite facilities in the bedrooms were another plus.

Awesome holiday

The caravan was lovely and homely, full of niknaks that made it cosy and had absolutely everything we needed and more. Great location on a lovely park, food was tasty, plenty to do there, we can't wait to come back.

We didnt like that we had to leave to come home.

Stella’s caravan was perfect, cute, cosy clean & tidy with everything I needed. Stella provided great communication and was easily reached with any questions I had. Loved the location, so many places to visit.

A lovely stay

This caravan is very homely and has two bathrooms which is so handy. The caravan is positioned peacefully away from the entertainment and site road, plus there is space around the caravan for children to play safely. Also it is not too far to walk to the playground and other amenities. Handy for Supermarkets and seaside.

We really enjoyed this caravan.

Lovely Relaxing Caravan

Very clean and comfy caravan in great location for exploring the Island. We especially loved the decking area outside, which was perfect for a little relaxing time in the morning or evening. We would definitely stay here again.

We didn't realise that towels weren't provided, so just make sure and pack your own.

Lovely caravan, we really enjoyed our one night stay, and really appreciated all the little extras Stella added with regards to the decorations, board games, dvd etc, the whole family especially my two little nieces really enjoyed playing with them and it felt really homely.

Great caravan, hosts and location

So glad I found this van. It was very clean, comfortable and is in a great location. It’s about 5-10 min walk into Shanklin town and a 2 min walk to Lidl. Right next to the train station too which is great if you fancy a trip into the nearby towns. Stella was so helpful and if you do need to ask her anything she replies extremely promptly. Will 100% recommend and will definitely be back. Thanks Stella

Nice but a few annoying problems

-Was cleaned really throughly -a lot of kitchen utensils provided -decorated beautifully -in a really nice private spot

-Toilet next to twin bedroom seemed to be leaking? the carpet around it was soaked but was unsure if that was just where it had been cleaned? -Oven would not light or heat up so we had to eat out or use the microwave -shower was leaking, had to screw it back in ourselves -We left earlier because the issues we had kind of ruined the trip

Very pleasantly surprised it was beautiful

We loved our holiday at Lower Hyde we enjoyed the pool. Everywhere was Covid safe and the staff were very friendly. Our caravan was deluxe and we saw red squirrels on site and rabbits with plenty of bird life. We will return hopefully next year 😀

We were happy but did think the bar prices were top whack and. It very user friendly for families. We didn't bother to visit and choose to drink out or in the van! More reasonable prices and we would have called in every day 😀
