ATTENTION, ATTENTION RATES DETAIL; the instant quote feature on the set up of VRBO's website can be misleading at first glance. A maximum of 8 people are allowed on the property at any given time. Minimum stay is 2 nights in off season (Mid September-May). Off-season rates are: $230/night for 2 people, plus $60 per each additional person whether they are day guests only or over night. Please be accurate with your group numbers in requesting a reservation as owner will edit quote to reflect the total head count prior to confirming. Prime 2024 season (May 26-September 22) requires a minimum stay of one week (7 nights). Weeks are Sunday to Sunday. The prime season weekly rate is: $3290, for up to 8 people. Rates do not include 6% MI occupancy tax or a refundable security deposit (see VRBO at check out). Additional fee for dogs (maximum of 2) is $28 per day or $175 per week, per dog; inquire with owner on pet details and rules. NOTE that a general liability waiver is required to be signed, prior to arrival. See waiver under "my attachments". I will also email one to you. Welcome to the Lake House for every season! Nestled between poplar covered sand dunes, this contemporary 3 bedroom (sleeps up to 8) ranch style home offers a partial view of Lake Michigan and a striking panoramic view of North Grand Mere Lake. The home includes private sandy beach access on Lake Michigan and a (seasonal) wading stream. Due to recent high water levels, we have experienced significant shoreline erosion over the past couple of years. The beach is smaller than the pictures depict. Any questions, inquire with owner. Among many amenities, the home includes a private in ground swimming pool (closes September 12 for the winter/opens early May), 4-5-person hot tub (open year round) and large wrap-around deck. Come to enjoy serene views, beautiful snow falls, wildlife, endless sunsets, relaxing walks and a private sandy beach. If you like action, you're only 10 to 20 minutes away from the popular destination towns of St. Joseph and New Buffalo. We're located at exit 22, off of I-94. Stay at the Lake House for a week in the prime season or a minimum two-night getaway during the off-season and enjoy it all! House and neighborhood were great! Quiet as can be, the pool and hot tub were in excellent condition. Host communicates very well with check in and instructions. We never had to reach out to the host, as we had no issues. Easy walk to the private beach!

Shelly & Marc are outstanding Hosts! The Lake House was perfect for me & my wife getting away for the week. The pool & hot tub were super clean and well maintained. The house is excellent, especially the updated kitchen with plenty of utensils and standard amenities - we bought all our food & supplies at the local Meijer (5 min drive). Poolside gas grill, tiki torches and fire pit made for very nice evening cookouts. The private Lake Michigan beach area is just a short walk away and we enjoyed perfect sunsets every night. Neighbors were all very respectful and helped maintain a quiet, private and peaceful environment. One of the best VRBO locations we've experienced - already looking forward to next year!

We had such a great family vacation here. The house and property are everything you would expect. With just a short Walk to the private beach, pool and hot tub in the back yard, what else do you need? Extremely relaxing getaway. Can't wait to visit again.

House backs up to swampy inland lake. Quite far from actual Lake Michigan Beach. House doesn't gain any breeze from Lake Michigan and sky lights create a hot greenhouse affect inside. The pool was very nice but cold. It was great because we were with family.

Location is perfect. Right off the highway and away from all the commotion. We had our own private beach but it was a bit chilly the first few days .. Didn't matter as our kids just enjoyed the pool and making rounds back and forth to the hot tub. Was a wonderful property that was quiet and peaceful.

Excellent host and home. Pool was absolutely an essential feature during week long excessive heat wave. Hosts serviced pool all week as needed. Home located in private wooded area but conveniently located close to Stevensville (5 to 10 minutes) and St Joseph (15 minute drive) activities. Location offers private beach access to Lake Michigan. Relaxing and enjoyable week.

The Lake House was perfect for our family of four. We loved the location. The house had easy access to Lake Michigan and close to town, but also felt secluded and quiet. Excellent communication with the property owners. The pool was perfect with kids! If we're back in the area again we will definitely stay back at the Lake House.

Everything was good. The description of the property was a little misleading. I was under the assumption that the house was on Lake Michigan. It is about a block away. It was fine for us on this trip. I wish WiFi was available. In this day and age WiFi is essential.

The house was just perfect. Clean, cute, cozy. Hot tub was so nice. Great views. Great private beach access a short walk away. Didn't get to use the pool due to the season (we went in March) but it looked very nice. Ping pong was a huge hit. The owner was so very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we really want to go back again.

Nicely decorated and clean. Shelly was very responsive to any and all questions. It was obviously too cold to enjoy the pool, but I'm sure it would be great to enjoy in the warmer months. However we did enjoy the hot tub, but would have been a little more private located on the other side of the deck closer to the pool - still a a great view overlooking the lake.

We had a great stay at The Lake House. The location feels remote and private but is a quick drive to commerce and cute downtown St. Joe. We had everything we needed in terms of kitchenware and linens. The hot tub was very clean and perfect for our group - it would be on the cozy side with six adults. The listing is very accurate, but worth noting that the downstairs bedroom does not have a door. It is around the corner from the basement living space. Feels closed off based on room layout, but you'd have noise from the main,room. Would recommend and would stay again.

We had such a nice couples' weekend at the Lakehouse on Sunset Path. Shelly and Marc are such wonderful hosts! There was a ton of snow that weekend, and our hosts had us plowed on arrival and through the weekend. The view from the house is beautiful. Having the gas fireplace to enjoy was cozy. And the hot tub was a highlight. We had a delicious dinner at the Grande Mere Inn nearby and a fun stop at the Round Barn Winery in Baroda; enjoyed the trails there too. We plan to return for another winter getaway! Looks like it would be amazing in the summer too.

We came up for our honeymoon to relax after a year of wedding planning and festivities. We enjoyed our visit with two exceptions..,not sure how I missed these on the overview of the property. No wifi and very basic and limited cable.

We LOVED this house and this stay. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. The private beach was a highlight for sure. The pool and hot tub combination was a must and we were out in the backyard all week. Such a relaxing vacation! A few things to keep in mind: there is only 1 toilet (2nd bathroom is only a shower), the basement sleeping area was warm as there is no central A/C, and there is no wifi available in the house. The upstairs bedrooms have window AC units for sleeping.

my wife and dog stayed a week, it was clean upon arrival and nice setup. we had great weather so that was the win-win. pool hotuib firepit grill and outside chairs were super clean. the host was responsive and we hope to return next year. the beach is down the road and down a hill, we did not use the beach, but younger folks would likely enjoy that.

The home is well cared for. The sunsets on Lake Michigan were nothing short of amazing! We were able to utilize all the property had to offer. With the view of North Grand Mere from the deck, pool, hot tub, and firepit...... As a sun-lover, sunset chaser and nature extraordinaire.... Shelly's home was a paradise!! Our group had such a great time at the lake house. We didn’t have the best weather, but it didn’t matter because the views were wonderful and the house is perfectly cozy. I’d recommend coming here if you’re looking for an unplugged getaway. Keep in mind there is no wifi, but my hotspot worked great while we were there!
