This is a wonderful property! The pool is great for relaxing and you feel like you’re surrounded by nature. The garden that surrounds the outdoor spaces adds to a peaceful experience. At nights you can see many stars as you sit around the fire pit. The house has so much to offer too and you have everything you need in the kitchen. We had a great time sitting at the large table for dinner. The host is great and communication was excellent! Thanks!
4.7
Looks like a lot of things were updated this year. A lot of new furniture, stuff in the basement, and kitchen equipment. Great location for family reunion and we have been booking here for years.
4.7
We were very impressed with the outdoor amenities of the property: pool, hot tub, fire circle, landscaping and all the pool accessories and outdoor furniture were great for family fun. The kitchen was very well stocked with every utensil and small appliance one could need. The interior of the house was a bit aged but adequate. Fennville is a very nice small town walking distance to grocery, restaurants and the library - which our kids enjoyed.
4.7
We had a great stay. Fourteen of our family stayed for the week. We had teenagers that loved the pool, cool pool noodles, ping pong table, and pac man games. (Note that we paid extra to have the pool heated which was a good idea.) Adults liked that the kitchen was very well equipped. We cooked a lot. Generous towel supply was much appreciated. Backyard fire pit was the best we've experienced in our 20 years of renting vacation spaces. Also loved the big backyard umbrellas. We also had an issue with a tripped circuit. Communication with the owner was prompt and considerate and the problem was fixed in a few hours. We would come back again.
4.7
My family and i stayed here for our 2024 family vacation. We had the most wonderful time!! The house was perfect for all 19 of us! And exactly as advertised.
We cooked every day, the kitchen accommodations were wonderful and plentiful for cooking for large groups. We had 9 children (ages 11months to 12yo) and 10 adults. My parents, who are in their 80s, enjoyed the porch swing daily.
The many chairs around the fire pit fit us perfectly! We all throughly enjoyed the pool and all the pool toys provided!
This experience was 10 out of 10! Would definitely rent this property again!!
4.7
Our family absolutely loved this place! More than enough room for everyone and the pool is amazing! Very convenient location for exploring the area, easy to get to with none of the crazy traffic you find in Saugatuck or South Haven. We definitely would/will stay here again on another trip to the area.
4.7
We had a 4-day mini family reunion stay at Allegan Fields. The home was great! Rick, the host, was wonderful to work with. He was so quick to respond to any questions. There was plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked. They have a table that accommodated our entire group! The most popular parts of the house were the heated pool, the hot tub and the basement recreation room. The house is very comfortable. We were able to relax and just enjoy each other. We would definitely stay here again!
4.7
We had a great stay at Allegan Fields. I can’t speak enough to how amazing this property is. There is so much to do for everyone! The outdoor area alone makes this worth the booking. Inside, the house is great for groups with many big areas for everyone to gather while there are plenty of areas for smaller gatherings or getting some alone time. The host was easy to work with, EXTREMELY helpful, and the house was clean. There were very few things we needed for our stay. We also appreciated being close to downtown Fennville including being able to get groceries at Wagoners and fresh tortillas for taco night at Las Brazas. Only a few minutes from nice beaches too. Highly recommend this place for any trip you need!
4.7
The house was exactly as it was described and more. Y friends and I really enjoyed the town and it was close to lots of fun adventures. Would definitely like to book the home again during the summer and enjoy all that the home and the area have to offer.
4.7
We had a group of women do a girls trip- BYOBook retreat in this space. it was perfect. Everyone could fit at the long dining room table, the space was beautiful and we would absolutely stay again. Everything we needed and more.
4.7
Great communication before and during the stay. The house is older but they leaned into it with adorable design. We had 19 total (including 3 families with children ages 1-14yo, a senior couple and a special needs adult) and we were able to fit nicely. Would have loved a way to gate off the stairs going up but it's a bit wide at the bottom. We had such a lovely time! Thank you!
4.7
The house was large and everyone had their own room. Made a fire both nights. The kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed in January and there was a big snow so we never left the house and just hung out and visited. Was a great weekend. Would stay at this house again.
4.7
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at ALLEGAN FIELDS. We bring a group of friends and a couple of kids for a few nights leading up to the New Year. We always find the house to have what we need (except for the slowest drip coffee maker on the planet ;) ) A hot tub, lots of space, a fireplace, 2 fridges and plenty of towels and creature comforts to make the vibes just right. The town offers grocery + dining options and Douglas/Saugatuck is close by when people wanted to do a little shopping.
One of the best features of the area is a hike close to the Oxbow House for some time outside, walking in the woods and a beautiful view of the lake.
4.7
All is good.
The only thing we might suggest would be locks on all the bathrooms.
4.7
Grandchildren and great-grand-children came to attend the funeral/burial of their 101 year old grandmother. She was ready to go to heaven so it was a celebration. Cousins coming from different states were able to renew their friendship while sharing how she has impacted their lives. It was a very special time.
4.7
The property is spacious and clean. We had a group of 16 people - half parents and young adults (mid 20s). The space accommodated us perfectly. The basement with the ping pong table and sleep area for six was perfect for the young adults to have their space. The dining room table was just awesome - was great to be able to all sit down to a meal.
What sold me on the property were the bedrooms and six bathrooms - four had showers! The bathrooms are stocked with towels, toilet paper, and bath products: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soaps. The only thing I found missing was Kleenex.
The kitchen was clean and very well equipped - most needed appliances we there. It was great to have access to real dishes, glassware, and silverware - there was an abundance of each.
Due to the weather, we were limited in using the outdoor space, which looked very nice. A few of us used the hot tub and enjoyed a nice evening soak. Pool towels were available for our use.
The garage was spacious - accommodated two SUVs. And plenty of angle parking in the driveway for four additional cars.
The only thing we struggled with was the TV as the owners accounts were logged off previously.
Overall, an excellent stay with family and friends! Definitely in my repeat list.
4.7
We picked this location based on the location being near our Skate Ministry Leadership Conference. The house is very spacious, plenary of bedrooms, bathrooms, and definitely a really big dining room that seated our entire group during the weekend. Backyard has a pool and hot tub. You can tell that the owners work hard in making this place special and have thought through many things for their guests.
The deck is being sanded and refinished which will only add to the awesome backyard area.
Just bring your groceries and enjoy each other’s company. Will definitely stay again.

We were a group of friends on a golf trip and this was an ideal setup. As advertised and great for our group.
4.7
My group does a yearly trip to a destination and we chose fennville for this year's. The property has everything you need (pool, jacuzzi, bon fire pits, full amentity kitchen, etc) and just a stones throw from downtown fennville.
The property itself was amazing and spacious. The owner, Rick, and the property, manager, Yolanda, were both helpful with any questions or accommodations.
I would highly recommend again. We usually go out and about to different nearby cities, but we never left the house as everything we needed was there.
11/10.
4.7
This house was a good size to accommodate our large family. It was well stocked with dishes, towels, bedding, pool toys, and lots of space to play.
The extra fee for the pool was a surprise, but we chose this place mostly for the pool and we spent many hours enjoying it.
4.7
Six adults with four children between 4 and 1. The house exeeded expectations on roominess and pool/beach items. The house shows wear and tear but clean and funtional with ample cooking untensils. The beds were vey comfortable. The hot tub was a big hit. Only less then possitive items were the cleanliness of pool. Surface water was clean but pool bottom had hair and other debris. And the jacuzzi jets in master bath did not work, but this was known prior to visit.
4.7
We spent the weekend with our adult children and the space was perfect for our group. The backyard is secluded and very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. The house easily accommodated 6 couples. We will definitely return.
4.7
We could have overlooked the myriad of little things that were wrong with this property, like: broken windows, no screens on some windows, no blinds in one of the bedrooms, broken microwave taking up space in the kitchen, shaggy landscaping, no rope in the pool to delineate the deep from the shallow end, dog crap in the yard that we had to pick up and more…but the most dangerous thing was a heavy rain one one night mid-week that caused one of the basement windows to leak very badly all over beds/bedding and the floor of that “bedroom”. And THAT wouldn’t have been SO bad, but there were power strips on that wet floor. And some of our children were bunking down there. Had they stepped out of their beds in bare feet and any of those power strips had been under water, this property owner would have had a lot more to worry about in this review besides things that were broken or less than wonderful during our stay. Furthermore, WE had to clean up the rainwater coming in (cleanup crew didn’t arrive until the next day). What’s worse, the property owner seemed unfazed by our concern about this potential electrocution scenario and even though WE paid top dollar for this joint and WE were inconvenienced on a family vacation that people have worked hard to fit into their busy lives, we didn’t receive any compensation for our trouble. Too bad. Had the owner been a little more honest with us and in his property listing, we might have considered returning in the future. Not now, not ever.
4.7
We enjoyed our stay
4.7
For the price it was OK. It is a little dated. The house was tidy but not what I would classify as truly clean. Missing some basic kitchen stuff like baking pans and a toaster. Rained hard one evening and water showed up in the basement. Just enough to get stuff wet on the floor in that room (6th bedroom). TV in the basement was broken (reported to property manager).
Location was convenient to beach and towns (10-15 mins). Located in town so limited activities within walking distance. Pool and hot tub were very nice. The kids loved it!
4.7
We enjoyed the house, the pool, hot tub and the fire pit area. A long dining table was great for our large group. The deck was being refinished and we wished it was done before we arrived.
4.7
We had a great family week. The home definitely accommodated all 24 of us. House needs some updates and the few problems we had were addressed as quickly as they could be being a holiday week. Also definitely need to update the pictures of the inside and out. But all in all it was all about Family and I’d rate it at 4.5
4.7
Enjoyed the pool on our hot vacation.
4.7
It was perfrct for our family super fun spacious area.

The home is definitely a bit dated from the photos online. However, the space is great for large groups. We did see a mouse in the home and the owners did not seem to be surprised by this discovery. The owner also never cleaned the pool throughout our stay even though it was in the paperwork that they would clean it on Wednesday. The pollen this week was out of control so it was very hard to keep clean each day. The convince of the pool was amazing though and our family loved using it all week.
I would recommend bringing pool towels and bath towels because there were not enough for us. You may also want to bring baking sheets because the kitchen only has one. If you go to a beach the drive to South Haven is definitely worth it. We had some mixed reviews about the home but overall we had a great trip.

We went for a ladies family vacation. There was plenty of room for all 20 women!!! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, etc. the coffee pots do need updating and the chairs in the dining room were a little aggravating, but overall it was an awesome stay!

This home was absolutely gorgeous! The entire check in process was very simple and Yolanda was very responsive and helpful. The home is HUGE! So many bedrooms and bathrooms it worked absolutely wonderfully with a large group of women. Downtown Fennville was very close by so any store runs were very quick. The hot tub was low when we went to get in it but was still nice and toasty warm and a wonderful addition for a late Winter/early Spring stay. I would imagine this house in the summer time would be absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the huge dining room table was so fun to sit and enjoy each others company at. Over all this vacation rental was a 10/10. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space!

We stayed here with a group of 18 women for a moms getaway. We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and we had ample sleeping room. The linens were white, the living room and dining room areas are spacious. We were able to use the hot tub and the property manager and owner were communicative.
The floors need some updating as they are a bit squeaky and the dishwasher didn’t do a thorough job, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would come again!

Very clean, plenty of towels and toilet paper provided, easy instructions in binder to follow. Would love to come back in the summer, but also a great spot in winter. We went to Timber Ridge Ski Resort one day about 35 min drive. Wagoner’s down the street had all our grocery needs and El Jaripeo was great Mexican food for dinner.

It was an amazing cabin! Very spacious. We had everything we needed. It was nice to have utensils and other utilities ready to use. The living room was amazing for gathering everyone together to spend time. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

So much room including a table where all 19 of us could sit together for a meal! The kids enjoyed the hot tub.

9 of us gathered to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. This was the first time we’d been together in over a decade, and the house could not have suited our needs better! We had a fabulous time. The check in and check out process with Yolanda could not have been easier, and the guest information was very clear. All of my expectations based on the VRBO page were met. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and there was plenty of seating for us all to sit in the living room (and watch U of M football beat OSU). It really was a great house to come together, play some games, share some memories and reconnect.

This house is beautiful! It is so spacious, private, and great for large groups. We had a great time and would love to check it out in the summer when the pool is open.

We enjoyed our stay at the property well enough as we were hardly there. It was clean enough but many things were broken and needed to be fixed like carpet to the basement needed to be fixed better than just a thumb tack as it was a tripping hazard. It was strange that there were no towels in the bathrooms with showers or small garbages in the bedrooms or shelves in the door of the refrigerator. The garage overall was quite dirty. The hot tub was not very warm upon arriving and lots of leaves in it thought it was covered. Make sure to leave enough time to check out on your last morning as dishes must be washed and put away not just ran through the dishwasher. All paperwork received is almost offensive in the amount of caps lettering used and appears to be yelling at guests like a child. Perhaps previous renters have been disrespectful but we were not. We picked up furniture that had been knocked over outside before we arrived, took leaves out of hot tub that were on there when we arrived, reconnected a downspout that was laying across front walkway when we arrived, etc. If I had seen the yelling in the listing paperwork prior to renting I would not have rented. I also felt it poor taste to let renters know we were being reviewed as well as it was written in almost a threatening tone. Yolanda was responsive and kind but the owner seemed a little short as he responded to one of my very kind messages with just a thumbs up emoji. I would not steer people away from renting this property as it suited our needs of a place to sleep but would encourage the property owner to make repairs, clean up better before guests arrive, provide towels IN bathrooms, and perhaps be a little bit less threatening in the paperwork so guests who were spending thousands for a weekend felt more comfortable.
