Spacious and elegant apartment, 160 square feet, located at the 2nd floor with elevator of an ancient building in Piazza Indipendenza, few minutes away from monuments such as PIAZZA DUOMO, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti, Piazza della Signoria and S. Croce Church. This elegant and bright apartment has been recently restored, furnished and decorated.
It’s 160 mq and consists of an elegant and spacious living room with a big sofa and a fireplace, Bang & Olufsen surround Home Theatre system with 42'' flat screen TV set, DVD player, VCR player, CD player unit with radio, satellite decoder, a dining room with a dining table, the dining room is equipped with a round crystal table with 6 chairs a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge and freezer, stove with 4 burns, electric oven standard size, cutlery, crockery), one master bedroom with king sized bed and bathroom, one bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom with shower, one loft bedroom with two single sofa bed (1,20 mt large each), a utility room with washing and drying machine. My family and I enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. Matilda met us at check in and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. She was very responsive to questions during our stay. We felt right at home.

This apartment was very comfortable and tastefully designed. In a perfect location just out of the hussle of the centre of Florence. Our host Matilda was very welcoming and took us through all we needed to know for our stay. The apartment was equipped with everything you need.
We enjoyed our stay, experiences in the Chianti region and meeting the friendly locals. Would highly recommend this property if you want to be close to all the sites.

Our family of 4 adults stayed here for three nights and was very pleased. Matilda is a prompted communicator and accommodating host. The apartment was clean, secure, comfortable, spacious, and had many amenities that made our stay enjoyable. While there were a few quirks that would've made our stay perfect, such as installing a window covering in the upstairs bathroom for added privacy while showering, and having the ability to control the air conditioning as the apartment, at times, became quite cold during the day and somewhat warm at night, we enjoyed returning to the space after long days of tours and shopping. It felt like returning home.

Beautiful property! We were here for 3 days with another couple. Having a nice large living room where we could all sit comfortably was perfect. So was the dining area. The kitchen has a full complement of dishes and pans. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are included.
The property is a short walk from the train station. (Note the streets and sidewalks make it more difficult to lug large suitcases - not a property issue) and easy walking distance to Uffizi and Academia.
Bathrooms are supplied with shampoo, conditioner and soap.
Be aware, stairs are included and some are steep. The owner uses essential oils which are quite fragrant, which for us, was really the only negative.

The apartment is very large and decorated immaculately. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms, a nice kitchen, and 2 large bedrooms as well as a loft with alarge sofa bed. Matilda, the owner, is a pleasure to work with and graciously answered all of our questions. The apartment is easily walkable to everything in the city center. It is also very close to the train station. I honestly can't think of anything negative about the experience.

This was a very spacious spot easily able to accommodate 6 people comfortably. Nice modern furnishings and only a 10 minute or so walk to the train station. Everything you need is furnished and Matilda was a great host. Only drawback is the bedrooms are on the top level requiring 2 flights of stairs and 4 more steps to get to the bathroom from the bedroom & the master bedrooms bathroom has no shower or bath.

This rental has plenty of space to spread out and relax. It’s well supplied with all kinds of amenities such as towels, extra TP, kitchen soaps, espresso pods, sugar, tea…really anything you need to feel at home. It was very clean and well maintained. We felt very secure in the building with the multi layers of security doors. Just be aware that there are stairs, two flights to the bedrooms. Overall, we loved this property and would recommend it to anyone. Matilda was very responsive to all communications. She even picked up our laundry and had it done for us when the washer was broken! Thank you Matilda!

The apartment was in a good location. It was clean and very spacious. Matilda answered all questions promptly. ..fyi there are stairs throughout the apartment. A Lovely place.

The house is very clean and Matilda was very prompt with any requests and very accommodating with allowing us to bring our luggage by before the actual check in time. Location is great -- restaurants close by and train station within 10-15 minute walk.

We spent a wonderful week at Matildas splendid apartment.
The Apartment is located next to Piazza della Indipendencia, just a few minutes walk away from Central Market and within walking distance to the duomo and the main attractions you want to see in Florence.
After strolling around in vibrant Florence for several hours we always loved to return to this peaceful and tastefully equipped place, enjoying the aircondition and spaciousness as well as having some coffee and sweets or some pasta and wine (bought fresh pasta at Central Market!).
Matilda, our host was always helpful in every respect as well as very quickly responding to all of our questions.
She arranged, that our son and his fiancée who joined us and our daughter for a few days and arrived earlier, could already get into the appartment before we arrived and answered our questions throughout the whole stay very quickly.
The Apartment is very clean and very well equipped in every respect. Beds are very comfortable (a really big one in the masterbedroom), showers work very well even high up under the roof.
Stairs in the apartment were no problem for us but would be for handicapped people and might be for families with small children.
We highly recommend this outstanding place to anyone who wants to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay in a tastefull surrounding in wonderful Florence.

Absolutely amazing home. Matilda checked us in and provided all the information we needed. The home is spacious and easily accommodated 6 of us. Very comfortable, air conditioned and everything we needed during our stay. Location is quiet but very accessible to all areas. Do not hesitate to stay here, it is worth it.

The apartment is stunning! Huge spaces, perfect room temperature, lovely details…we didn’t want to leave! And Matilda (our host) is wonderful. Would book it again any day!!!

Matilda is very communicative and easy to work with. She met us promptly for check in and showed us everything we needed to know. The apartment is clean and in a secure building, near the train station. Great coffee shop across the street for easy breakfast before you start your day. We were 5 adults - with plenty of room. Washer and dryer is great to have too!

True luxury within walking distance to all the major sites in Florence. Matilda was very helpful and lovely - our arrival was delayed by heavy traffic and she waited by the apartment to let us in for more than one hour. The apartment was exactly as listed and suited our family of 5 very well. Thank you Matilda

Beautiful high end apartment. Plenty of space for our family of 5. The stairs up to the upper level bedrooms don’t have handrails which was fine with us but might be challenging for some. We were very happy with our stay.

We loved this apartment in a safe and easy area of Florence. The decor is just superb and the bedrooms are spacious and well appointed!
There are a lot of stairs from living room to the 2 main bedrooms so beware if you have any difficulty climbing stairs without a handrail. We managed just fine and loved the beautiful interior!

Great place to stay. We walked to all the sites we wanted to see except to the Vatican. Location is very good and always good to have close access to groceris, transportation etc. The elevator was a big plus along with full size washer and dryer.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Matilda's beautiful apartment. The location was excellent. A 10 minute walk to many main attractions. Matilda was very responsive and accommodating. The apartment is very spacious with high quality appliances and furnishings. The washing and drying machines were a plus. We were impressed with the security system, which provided a safe entrance and exit. The apartment looks onto a private courtyard and was very quiet. Looking forward to a return trip in the future! Fantastic loft apartment in Florence perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teens). Great walkability to everything in Florence. Kitchen was well supplied for anything you might need. We loved the big windows with views of Florence! Would happily stay here again. A great value as well.

Thank you for a lovely stay in your cozy apartment. The location was perfect. A 10 minute walk from the train station and the historic center, tons of delicious restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, etc. in the neighborhood. The apartment was in the middle of Florence, but you could not hear any noise as it looks out on a courtyard and the beautiful hills of Florence. The beds were very comfy and the apartment had everything we needed.
Matilda was so nice, greeting us and attending to all of our needs. We can only recommend this stunning place.

Matilda was a lovely host and very attentive. We met her at the apartment and she took us on a tour of her beautiful and unique space. It really gives you a taste of being a local. I enjoyed my morning coffee in the dining area without disturbing the others sleep, and we all had our own space to rest between adventures in the city.
We also found the separate laundry units very convenient.
We are all very pleased with our time here and highly recommend.

The apartment was lovely and spacious for our group of 6. Matilda provided all the necessities and then some to make our stay wonderful. The apt is in close walking distance to all the major attractions and felt extremely safe. Matilda herself was there to great us at check in and extremely responsive. I highly recommend this rental.

Clean, well appointed and stocked. The only limitation was the inability of the washer and dryer to run simultaneously and the slippery stairs.
It would have been a real time saver to have a house manual to provide guests with clear, step-by-step instructions and tell them where they can find important things, such where to place the garbage, adjust the air conditioner, access channels on the television, and checklist for closing the unit. Also it would have been helpful to provide electrical outlet converters for North American travellers.
Overall, it was really a nice place, great location and happy that the air conditioner worked well.

Wonderful apartment for an adult family group
Excellent communication with host Matilda. We were met at the apartment at our arranged time and showed around. The rooms are gorgeous and well equipped and in excellent condition. Easy check out. We loved our stay! Two very private bedrooms with bathrooms for two couples and one semi private space for another party with shared bathroom. Absolutely recommend.

The apartment is fabulous. It is great to have a washer and dryer. The beds are great. There is only one bathroom with a shower but the location and the beautiful apartment makes up for it. Safe area and a great value for the price.

BEAUTIFUL apartment
Great experience. Only hiccup was that the exact address wasn’t specified on the listing and that I didn’t get the Information before arrival. Other than that, beautiful apartment, everything needed and beyond provided, and check out was easy. Ten minute walk to station, ten minutes to Duomo, five minutes to Centrale Mercato. Great location and modern, beautiful apartment!
