A group of 6 adults stayed for eight days at Soderini Palace this past July. The apartment was located in a great location. Several cafes, restaurants, and local shops in close proximity. The Ponte Vecchio was about 10 minute walk and all other major landmarks (Duomo) was about a 20 minute walk. We were next to the Piazza Santo Spirto where we found some great local restaurants. We were 2 blocks from a wine window (Babae). The apartment was spacious and very well stocked with everything we needed especially air conditioning as it was very hot. There is a small lift since the apartment is on the 3rd floor but most of the group took the stairs. Check in was very easy and the hosts responded quickly to my questions ahead of my arrival. We would definitely stay at this apartment again if we return to Florence.

The apartment was in a great part of town for finding restaurants and stores and getting around the city. It was comfortable and had everything we needed.

When the description of this place says that you are in the heart of Florence it is truly in the center of everything. The accommodations were wonderful and we needed nothing. Truly a jewel.

We enjoyed are stay very much. The apartment was perfect for us and the location was excellent.
It was well air conditioned which was vital with 100+ temperature during our visit.
Would definitely stay there again!
The hosts and Chiara left a helpful booklet with information regarding taxi service etc.
The only surprise was that I had to pay a special tax when I arrived that I wasn’t aware of as I thought the rental was paid in full. Cash only.
I think I should have been aware of that addition so could have been better prepared for the fee.

wonderful apartment, spacious, clean and the location was great. the only issue was that the air conditioning in the bedrooms was not working great. But we would stay again. Family of 6 with plenty of room and 2 bathrooms.

The place fit seven of us very comfortably. A/C units in each room and throughout the apartment kept us very cool during high 90’s temperatures. Very cute place with all of the amenities to cook large meals. Good location with restaurants nearby and a supermarket around the corner. Good communication with the owners. Allowed us to enjoy our stay in Florence in comfort!

This is a wonderful apartment within a 15 minute walk of all the sites in Florence, in fact, it is one of the best VRBO rentals in which we've ever stayed. The building is safe and the apartment is stocked with everything you need. The owners were patient and answered all of our questions to make our stay enjoyable. The lift was greatly appreciated after a long day and there are plenty of places to grab something to eat within a few steps. Try the gelato on the corner by the bridge. Highly recommend. Thanks to Gianni, Chiara and Nelani for everything!

Our stay here was wonderful...perfect location to walk to everything, yet in a nice neighborhood with a local feel. Very spacious for five adults, with areas to gather together or be private if we wanted. Would recommend highly!

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was spacious and well appointed. I also liked the location - close to one of the bridges and walkable to so much. Nelani, the assistant, was so helpful! I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Florence!

My husband and I and our three adult children shared the place for a week. There was plenty of room. The location was really great. Walkable to everything but yeah out of the fray of being in the middle of the city. Maybe I misread but I thought there was a washer and dryer, it turns out there was only a washer but other than that all was as expected. The communication with the owner and her assistant was above average. Thank you, grazie.

General cleanliness needs attention such as vacuuming under all beds. Crockery and cutlery was dirty.

We would like to give many thanks to Vittorio for getting us settled in to the apartment.
We were six friends and the apartment was more than spacious to accommodate all of us.
Apartment was close to all main activities and a short walk from the train station.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the historic Soderi Palace apartment in the authentic and convenient Oltrano neighborhood just across the Arno River from all the major sites in Florence. The air conditioning, elevator, and washing machine were much appreciated amenities.

Fantastic location in Florence. Just across the Arno and walkable to all of the major sites. Great communication with the hostess. We liked the cafe on the back side of the building right on the river for breakfast and ate at restaurants on this same block twice. Really enjoyed this property.

Beautiful decorated historic property that is very central to all you want to walk to in Florence. The Host is the most responsive and helpful person I have come across in all our VRBO rentals over the years. Very clean, easy to find and nice amenities in the home including good air conditioning in the rooms!

Centrally located but not in the most touristy part of town. Walkable go all the sites. Very clean and spacious, perfect for our group of 5 including grandparents and toddler. Great bakeries and restaurant in the neighborhood. Host was responsive and timely. Thanks for a great stay! Would recommend for family vacation.

Soderini Palace is in a great location
The cleanliness of the apartment was not to my standard. Lots of dust on the headboards, the light switches were very dirty, the shower could have been scrubbed better including kitchen
The location of the parking garage is not ideal nor easy to find
Very minimal items in kitchen!
Beds comfortable, excellent AC, and beautiful decor
Thank you

We loved our stay at Soderini Palace! It was so clean, so comfortable, and fit our family of 6 beautifully! The location was great, the host was very kind—we had a mix-up about the city tax (our fault) and the owner was very gracious and patient with us. The kitchen was very well equipped and we ate breakfast at the apartment each morning. It was wonderful to have access to a washing machine for laundry, and again, the apartment was so clean! The location was very convenient and we walked everywhere. We would absolutely recommend this location. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Best apartment we stayed in during our two week tour of Italy. Easy walk from the train station. The lift was nice for luggage and if we were too tired at the end of long day of walking. Highly recommend.

This apartment has good sized bedrooms and baths and a nice kitchen. The living area is large. We were not there much during the day, but slept comfortably and appreciated the laundry. The location was great; walkable to all the sites, loved the Santo Spirito neighborhood with convenient coffee shops and restaurants. It is a very cool building that has a long history but is fully remodeled.

This apartment was perfect for a family of 5. Great in town location, beds were comfy, spacious family room and air conditioners worked well.
Both showers were small but that seems to be normal in Italy.

We had a great week at the apartment in Soderini Palace. The apartment is large and spacious. The owners were very helpful in advance of our arrival and answered all of our questions. All of the major sites of Florence are within walking distance, and there is a grocery store and many restaurants within 2-3 blocks of the apartment. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. The beds in the bedrooms are firm but comfortable. One note about the front bedroom. It can be noisy at night because of the bar/restaurant next door. The noise dies down around 11 pm and the apartment overall is very quiet.

Gianni was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Our check in and out could not have been easier. The apartment is beautiful, elegant and very spacious. Clean and well stocked. Modern kitchen and bathrooms with traditional Italian charm. Don’t miss the gelato on the corner (steps away) and the pizza downstairs at Dante’s is great for late night snack, or any other time. Location is central but also quiet. 1 minute walk from Arno.

Our stay was as expected. The lobby is enormous and somewhat off putting at first when you first enter, the elevator quite small. With luggage, we each traveled up to the apartment solo. And down again when leaving. We appreciated the number of keys available so we had our independence when leaving the apartment. The bedrooms and baths, all the rooms, allowed lots of space and privacy to enjoy the apartment. We were 4 adults traveling together, one married couple and two solo ladies who enjoyed their own rooms. We did not cook simply from lack of need with so many restaurants around to enjoy. There is a club nearby that did create some night noise for two of the bedrooms. All in all, it suited our needs for our 3 night stay and provided a comfortable place to settle when not out exploring Florence.

The property was very clean and comfortable. The pictures are very accurate. The response time from the owner was exceptional. This was a very pleasant experience! The location was great - very easy access to everything. I would definitely recommend this property and this owner!
Thank you for a wonderful spot in Florence!

The apartment was as expected for a European apartment in an old building. Clean, high ceilings, generous spaces, a long walk up the stairs, tiny elevator, European washing machine and a hanger for drying clothes, thin walls that allow you to hear the neighbors, and chilly in late March and early February. The shutters blocked out the light well in the morning. Beds were comfortable, and our four boys each had their own bed. There were extra comforters to make the beds warm.
The neighborhood was hip and within easy walking distance of the sites.
Unfortunately, the problem started at night when other occupants of the apartment building or a restaurant partied until 3am. The noise echoed through the courtyard and kept my wife awake (while I mostly slept next to her). The noise did not make it to the boys’ bedrooms, and they slept fine.

My family and I had a long-term stay at Soderini Palace while on sabbatical this fall. To say we found the perfect location in Florence to stay for a few months is an understatement! The apartment is exactly as shown and described in the pictures and description, but here are a few more details to help with deciding on this apartment for your stay:
1) It's a perfect location because it's NOT in the city center, but a short walk to everything there should you want it. It's on the cusp of both the busy touristy area and the more quiet, local Oltrarno neighborhood. We met many wonderful people during our stay and the restaurants - oh my, too many wonderful ones in the neighborhood to count!
2) The layout of the apartment is wonderful and spread out in such a way that you can find privacy in the bedrooms or even the living room or kitchen if you need it. Each room has a door and provides for some respite. And two full bathrooms make it easy to manage with adults and children in residence.
3) Gianni and Chiara, the hosts, have been doing this for quite a while and are the perfect proprietors. They always answered any questions we had quickly, and we had a great walk-through when we arrived to fully understand all of the workings of the apartment. Since we were there for a while we got to know them, they are really a wonderful team and take pride in running their rental in a professional manner. There was no question that anything we needed would be addressed if necessary.
I could go on and on, but in short - for any length of stay, should you want a clean, comfortable, beautiful apartment and location, this is it. The history of Florence is felt all around you and it's a perfect location for any daily adventures that you may have. We hope to return some day!
