The Lost Pelican is a wonderful place to stay for a beach holiday. The star of the show is the large screened in porch, coming in second is the cathedral ceiling living room. The stairs to the second floor are wide and safe for children. A very short walk to the beach, especially nice for watching the sunset after dinner. I highly recommend The Lost Pelican!

The Lost Pelican is very comfortable and Cape May Point is charming and quiet. The front porch is decorated with your comfort in mind…two ceiling fans, ample cushioned wicker chairs, wicker side tables, wicker cushioned couch and two wicker cushioned rockers along with a picnic table to have meals at. When we were not at the beach or tasting wine at a local winery, we were on the front porch. We will stay here again!

Thank you for making it possible for our family to have a space large enough to accommodate my husband and son’s family. Even though it was too cold to take advantage of the wonderful screened end porch, we still had room for everyone to gather in the spacious living room. And the kitchen is also a great feature of the house. We love coming to Cape May Point in all seasons.

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Lost Pelican— it was an absolutely perfect getaway for all of us! The house is beautifully decorated, so warm and welcoming, along with the location being in such a quiet neighborhood. One of the big highlights is the screened in porch. In the evening, if the wind is right, you will be able to sit out there and listen to the ocean waves. We enjoyed sitting out there each morning, having our coffee & breakfast, watching the birds visit the bird feeders — it’s also a great place for playing games. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need for preparing meals. The master bedroom is beautiful with an upper window that shows the moon & stars & we were lucky to be there when there was a full moon. The ocean is just a few blocks away where we enjoyed walking, fishing & watching the beautiful sunsets. Jan & Scott were great about communicating with us & readily available with any questions we had - the perfect hosts! We absolutely loved our stay and would love to visit again next year!

The “Lost Pelican” is a delightful, well equipped, spacious four bedroom cottage with plenty of charm. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of room for 2 cooks in the kitchen! I think the best feature of the house is the full length screened in porch that was the gathering point for meals, games and just hanging out! We had a great Cape May Point vacation and Jan and Scott were perfect hosts!

This house was perfect for our needs. It has four nice bedrooms, two on each floor, with a full bath on each floor. There are a lot of windows in this house, allowing lots of light—very cheerful. The kitchen is very well-stocked, with everything we could possibly need. This house has an incredible screened-in porch in the front with really nice seating. If we had visited in a warmer season, we would have spent a lot of time on the porch. The owners are very kind and easy to communicate with. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend!

The home is located in beautiful Cape May Point. Really lovely cottage! Close to many birding hotspots. Nice space for 3 or 4 Girlfriends or two small families. Kitchen is lovely. Front porch is lovely. Fans in every bedroom. We did not have to go to the store for everyday staples like hand soap or dishwasher detergent. Bed spreads and comforters on all beds. The hosts were amazing! We want to return!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay - lovely area and house, and great communication with Jan & Scott. The house is well equipped with an idyllic front yard and had ample room for a group. We loved the screened in porch with the high ceiling! The closest beach is our favorite in Cape May point. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Lost Pelican was fantastic. My wife and I, our two young sons and my parents all stayed here for a week and there was plenty of space for all of us. The large kitchen island and open concept living room area made meals / hanging out easy and relaxing. The huge screened-in porch was great for relaxing in the afternoons and evenings. The location is excellent - just a few minutes walk to the beach. Cape May Point is an incredible location - quaint and quiet but still very close to Cape May and all it has to offer (shops, restaurants, etc.). Scott and Jan were great hosts.

Our stay at the "Lost Pelican" was just so lovely. The location cannot be beat. Blocks from the beach and Nature sanctuary.
We were always about a 6-8 minute drive to delicious restaurants. Jan was always available by message for any questions. It was just perfect for our needs!!

The 'Lonely Pelican' provided a wonderful home for an early spring week in the charming Cape May Point. Being the end of March, the days were too cold to spend all day at the beach. Instead we took brisk walks by the beach and returned home to welcoming 501 Cedar.
We were also glad that we brought the kids bikes so that they could explore the neighborhood, which was quiet in the off season.
The kitchen was fabulous for cooking and with the lovely beach plum farm a few minutes away, we made some great meals. Mornings, I was able to find a ray of sunshine on the porch to sit and drink coffee or take a 1 minute bike ride to Alexander or Pearl Beach (where we saw an amazing pod of Dolphins one morning).
We had great lunch one day on the screened in porch, when the sun was out.
Beds were comfortable, bathrooms nice, living room was great for hanging out.
The walk to the beach was six minutes. If there were one thing I could change, it would be to be right next to the beach; it was not a deal breaker by any means, that would be the only factor that would make me think about stayingsomewhere else, and it would have to be really nice to make us even consider it.
All in all it was a fabulous stay and we were sad when we had to leave, plotting when we would be able to return again.

The Lost Pelican was just what we needed: a gracious welcoming home, lots of light and space, super porch, space around back for gathering and grilling and a firepit on the front lawn for s'mores, singing and stories. Jan and Scott have really made their home a place for fun and cozy gatherings. The house fit our needs with 2 bedrooms and bath downstairs and the same upstairs for our daughter, son-in-law and our 3-year-old grandson. It was an easy walk through the Cape May Point neighborhood to the lighthouse and the marsh walk which we did frequently. We sighted a bald eagle our second day and regularly saw a family of five mute swans with cygnets nearly grown. A shorter walk with our grandson up Alexander Ave. brought us to Sunset Beach where Nicolas dug many holes, built sand castles and searched for ghost crabs. And we took in the sights of dolphins and strings of black ducks weaving over the water. We were treated to a rainbow on one misty morning arcing in the Western sky.We so enjoyed our stay and the welcome that Jan and Scott gave to us and our grandson through emails and special touches which made this a special CMP time..

We stayed for 4 days in October at the Lost Pelican in Cape May Point, and our family had a great time. Very close to the beach, house was comfortable and well appointed, and the street is very quiet. We definitely recommend staying at the Lost Pelican.
