Guests loved the property with river access, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of activities to enjoy. The host was responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended!

We go to the Russian River a lot and this would be one of the best places that we have stayed at. The location could not be better and the space provided fit our family perfectly. The highlight I would have say was the rope swing that was across the river on the other side.

We (two families with older children) had a wonderful time at Grandma's. The place is laid out very nicely to accommodate two families, the kitchen is big and well-equipped, and the grounds are beautiful. The location right on the river is superb. The kids loved the rope swing on the opposite shore and everyone enjoyed the various watercraft.
The only issue we had was that the beds could be made more comfortable with an upgrade of at least new mattress protectors (they are lumpy) and a variety of pillows (we needed thinner ones).
We are hoping to come back and can definitely recommend this place for a summer getaway.

Our extended family of 9 had plenty of room to spread out inside and out. 4 convenient en suite bed/bath rooms. Extra large eat in kitchen with all the equipment needed to feed a crowd River out the back door with boating and floating equipment. Eclectic decor with plenty of surprises to investigate. Above 90 temps weren't even a problem, as the house stayed cool and comfortable.

Great location, comfortable stay. The kids loved the pool table, the arcade machine and the musical instruments. Shannon, the caretaker, was great.

Our family just loves it here. This was our second stay. Hope to make it our annual. Everything you need water, home, and that tree rope outstanding

We enjoyed our time at this location very much. Beach access and privacy were highlights for sure. I also appreciated how many bathrooms there are- no waiting! The kitchen is very well stocked.
A few things that need work: when we arrived at checkin time, the house was still being cleaned. It wasn’t that big of a deal; we just walked down to the river but I think our presence rushed the cleaning staff. The bed my husband and I used did have a sandy feel. I know it is probably tough to get rid of it all, but that was a bit uncomfortable.
The ice maker was visibly dirty. The kayaks and canoes were very fun but were not in 100% working order with missing seats/straps for seating.
I would suggest getting rid of the small table in the kitchen and replacing it with pantry storage. We didn’t have a lot of room to put our purchased food that didn’t go in the refrigerator. There were a few ants here and there as well.
Overall, this is an excellent property, beautiful grounds, and a spacious vacation spot I would recommend.

Spent a great Christmas holiday in Grandma’s House with our family. Plenty of space for 4 couples, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Easy stroll to the Boho Manor for cocktails around their fire pit. We had a great time!

Great location. The house is fully equiped with everything you need for indoor and outdoor activities. Beautiful deck that looks out at the river below. Access to the river is not easy for people with infants or anyone with any physical limitations. That being said we had a great time on the river. The house needs some loving care. The owner, Stephen, is very responsive and personable. All in all everyone in our group enjoyed their stay.

This is our third stay at grandmas house. We love the property, easy access to the water, and amenities of the home. Truly all the comforts of home in a rental fit for family gatherings! Plenty of space for a group, but the rooms provide privacy as well. Host was highly responsive, helpful, and made our stay an enjoyable one. We will be back!

We all had more than enough room. Everything was so nice. Lots of kitchenware, spices and condiments. Kids enjoyed the canoes and blow ups. The rope swing across the river was enjoyed by my grandkids and parents. Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning was so beautiful and quiet. We’ll be back

Third time at Grandma’s House, first time renting and not as someone’s guest. Will definitely be back, we love it here.
The property has river access, a great deck and 4 rooms, all with private bathrooms. A central living room and kitchen area tie everything together and make great gathering spaces. Plenty of things to do at the property: pool table, piano, grilling, lounging or walking the gardens.
River access is a little steep (for the elderly) but easy enough for most. The house is stocked with water crafts and floats but we brought our own. Directly across is a fun rope swing to swing into the river.
We paddled all day, grilled and drank at night. Not a bad way to spend a day.
If that’s not enough, cute Guerneville is nearby with enough restaurants shops and bars to keep one busy. It’s also near wineries and wine country.
We loved the rustic charm and the entire process was easy. Our only minor snafu was the grill bring out of propane, which was rectified in a matter of minutes with the host dropping off a new one along with a bottle of wine. Thank you!
Bartlett’s is walkable for emergency supplies. Neighbors and neighborhood seemed friendly. It was a great time.

Great, fun property. Great location and fantastic river access. Having the sandy shore as well as a floating dock was awesome. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, inter tubes and life jackets of all sizes were provided. House is great. Yes, old fashioned but by design. Very roomy, beds comfy, kitchen worked well. Would definitely stay again and very likely will be back next year. Stephen was super helpful. Clear instructions with lots of info and suggestions. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay

This place is so welcoming and fun. We loved the river access with a rope swing right across the river. The home is spacious and fun, and the outdoor areas are wonderful. Stephen was so helpful with everything. The house is full of local history and quirky in a good way! It's a wonderful place for a peaceful retreat or a fun silly weekend. We did both in the same week, with friends and family rotating through for visits on the lawn and dinners on the porch.

We usually go to the Russian River in the summer to play in the river. But this time, in the middle of the California crazy-rains, we took a week away with the family to recharge. We were cozy, and cheered by the fire and the Xmas lights. The house is perfect to spread out in. We had a giant puzzle spread out in one corner, an indoor exercise bike in another, and I was cooking up a storm in the kitchen. It is the perfect mix of togetherness with room to do what you need to. We love this house. We'll be back again!

We enjoyed the canoe and the pool table. There were lots of dishes and cooking equipment for making Thanksgiving dinner.

Our stay at Grandma's House was exactly as described. There is a lot of history in the house and it is a bit like stepping back in time to a riverside resort stay with original furnishings from earlier Bed and Breakfast days. The house is quite large and our family of 7 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs had plenty of time to spread out. It's a little quirky but we actually enjoyed that about the house. The owner Stephen was very responsive to all of my questions and is very familiar with the Russian River area and offered great suggestions. We all had a great time.

Our new favorite river house!
Outside and grounds are impeccable, absolutely love it. Inside it's dark, kinda 'old' feeling, funky with old pics and taxidermy... you have to be OK with it being a little 'different'. It was right up our alley!

Gorgeous and relaxing
This is an amazing property- beautiful landscaping, right down to the river. We had such a great relaxing time. The kitchen was huge. We played pool and lit a fire on a chilly evening.

Beautiful property. Older, funky, vibe inside house which is how it is depicted on line so it was as I expected. Good communication with property manager. Overall, a very nice experience.

Lovely Setting On The River
We stayed with friends in May of 2022. The river setting and the grounds are really nice. The house is old and funky, which is fun, but there is a lot of deferred maintenance— burned out light bulbs, damaged countertops, dishwasher not installed correctly, etc. The kitchen is very well-stocked and functional. Overall, it worked out fine.

Our Stay at Grandmas
We had a lovely time. The house was a good fit for us--bedrooms with bath and separated from each other. Common space was spacious with pool table and nice fireplace. View of river was lovely. Christmas decor was fun.

What Happens at Grandma's House Stays at Grandma's House
Thank you Steve for sharing your very special unique house with us again!! We had another awesome family vacation. This property is amazing and perfect for a family of 10-12. The lawn is great and perfect for pets. We so enjoyed the water toys and appreciate all the amenities offered. The rooms are spacious, clean and each have their own restrooms. The living room and pool table make you feel like you are at an old hunting lodge/cabin while the Kitchen and bedrooms have been updated for comfort, each room has it's own outside access to the lawn/Deck, so you don't have to disturb other guests. We will definitely be going back soon....Highly Recommended!!!

Great Family Spot on the River
This property has so much to offer. My family enjoyed cooking together in the country kitchen, playing in the backyard, late nights with the pool table, and games together in the spacious living room. We slept well in the large beds and each had our own bathroom. Then there is the river!! Kayaking and swimming with our own sandy beach. The owner was so helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests. We hope to be back again next year.

A perfect getaway!
We had our first family get together now that we are all vaccinated and it was really lovely. A couple of us had to work from home a couple of days and the internet worked like a charm. We loved kayaking and canoeing and the hot tub. There is plenty of space to eat outside or inside. The kitchen has everything you need. We made some great memories and I look forward to returning next year.

Perfect for Families!
Our family had a wonderful time at Grandma’s House! We were seven adults and three 8 year-olds, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The house is very well stocked with games and activities for all ages as well as outdoor and river “toys” ... canoe, kayaks, bicycles, life jackets, sand toys, and more. We took advantage of the nearby golf course, as well as the close proximity of the ocean beaches and a redwoods hike, although there is plenty to do right out the back door on the lovely riverfront property. The hot tub was great, taking the kids out in the canoe, and the pool table and the video arcade got a workout every night. The hosts are great, and very responsive, and everyone in the family, from 8 to 70, had a fantastic time!

Fantastic River House
This property is amazing! So much funky character and history. The pictures do not do it justice. The parlor is awesome, the dock was so much fun for the kids, and it has four full huge bedroom suites. The host was really good about communication and all the little details were wonderful - even the light switches were labeled.
This stay was so incredible we are already planning our next one.

RRiver Trip
Property has everything we needed plus! Owner communication was exceptional. Having the use of the river “toys” (kayak / canoe / fishing) was a huge win. Hope to make it back someday. Trip cut short due to fires by fire Marshall; Stephens concern for our well being and communication concerning evacuation was appreciated / needed as we are not from CA. Thank You! Just what my family needed before my son left for Qatar.

Lovely Spot to Bond and Connect with Friends
The house and property both have a lot of character. The property is scenic, with breathtaking views of the river. The house has a cozy home vibe, which welcomes guests to connect with each other and relax. I love this house- from its decorative rooms, amazing kitchen, to its historic vibe. We'll definitely being staying here again <3

We've stayed in many places along the RR, and this is our absolute favorite! The attention to detail is fantastic: memorabilia everywhere, comfortable furniture, luxurious beds, every kitchen item you might ever need, and fun for all with the pool table & video game machine. The decks are welcoming with a lovely view of the expansive yard & river, and the beach is the best we've experienced, complete with a variety of boats & floaties. Steve was a wonderful host, providing lots of information ahead of time but also available for multiple phone calls when we had specific questions. We wished we could have stayed forever, and look forward to our next visit!

What A Vacation House Should Be!
This house and property are wonderful. The yard and river access is idyllic and there is so much room in the house and so much to do (games, pool, guitar, piano, etc) . You don't need to every leave the property, with all there is to do in and outside the house. We especially loved kayaking on the river. It exceeded our expectations.
