The place is exactly as you see in the pictures and more. A very comfortable, and peaceful place. You definitely do not need any television the views are mesmerizing. We are so happy we had the opportunity to visit Alaska and stay here.

This is a very special property, form fitted for two people. With efficient kitchen and spectacular view of Kachemak Bay and mountains and glaciers beyond, this is as good as it gets. This comfortable property is in a great quiet rural setting and perfect for two people who just want to get away from it all.

This property has the most beautiful view of the state park across the bay. A nice large covered porch allows sitting out and enjoying the view in all weather. There is also a nice fire pit and complete privacy. Inside, it is clean and the kitchen has all the appliances needed. The living space is so comfortable with huge windows facing the bay and mountain. Loved my stay!!

We had a great experience from start to finish. Check in was easy. The pictures do not do the home justice. Incredible views with a really groovy kitchen. We cooked in it both nights and there were tons of spices and utensils. We really enjoyed hanging out at the house and looking out at the bay with the binoculars and listening to the rain as we slept in the comfortable bed. The shower was modern and the towels were exceptionally thick. It was a great house with tons of character and every amenity we could want.

This was a great house for a quick stop on our honeymoon. The view was spectacular and we loved the little deck and chairs to take in that view. Definitely recommend if someone needs a smaller place to stay while taking in the beauty of Homer!!

Absolutely one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Homer is worth a visit but we spent most of our time at this house. Amazing artistic interior and exterior design, complete amenities of the highest quality that even most personal homes don’t have, and vista that can’t be described. We sat in the Adirondack chairs for hours looking at the mountains and glaciers but bemoaning the fact that we hadn’t seen moose on our trip then as we drove back, next door yard mother e and twins letting us get all the pics we wanted. Unbelievable. This house is reason enough to drive all the way to homer.

I can not say enough good things about this place. 1st, the pictures DO NOT do the view justice. The view out of all windows and the deck were AMAZING! The house was set up perfect for us. It was a great place to unplug (or not, internet was perfect). It had everything we needed for cooking, and hanging out. We did a few activities and dining in town, but we’re thankful we were a little bit off the beaten path. Close enough to town but far enough for it not to be busy. The bathroom was perfect. The mattress was a bit soft for our personal preference but the bedroom had plenty of drawer space, etc. The deck was SPECTACULAR! We had a moose come say hello and saw tons of eagles. Thank you Diana for sharing this amazing house with us!

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend that my daughter was getting married. The house was very clean and furnished with some great old antiques including an old gas stove. They view was amazing and we even had a mama moose and her baby visit us on the deck the last night we were there. We would definitely rent this property again.

This may be one of the best properties on vrbo! The views are incredible, the home is comfortable and eclectic (aka perfectly decorated in Homer style), the location is fantastic, and did I already mention the views (I did but it needs to be mentioned twice). If I won the lotto.... this property makes a very short list of the homes that I would attempt to purchase. Thank you Diana for sharing your home with us!

We had an amazing time in Homer, not least as a result of this awesome property. The view is impossible to beat. We caught Halibut and the kitchen set up, particularly the gas stove, made the fresh catch even more special.

This property proved to be everything promised and more. A wonderful retreat this property provided privacy, breathtaking views, and a very attentive property management. My husband feel in love with the antique gas range and so did I. Environmental friendly supplies demonstrating their commitment to our planet were an added plus.. It did not take me long to discover the joys of sleeping on a Wink mattress. I now want one for my home.. Lush towels. I could go on but I hope you have gotten the picture. We stayed for twenty nights. It was hard to come home.

Was perfect for a short getaway with the pups. View was amazing and house had pretty much everything - kitchen is well stocked if choosing to cook, bed was comfy. Dog friendly things like a nice big dog bed, bowls and towels to wipe feet were provided. Area is very quiet with nearby walking suggestions provided.

This was a wonderful retreat for our small family (couple plus 10 yr old). Nice, small house perfect for a couple, but our son slept on the futon comfortably too. Awesome view and area, about 30 min from Homer. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes, plus kitchen staples. Diana came by to clear snow as needed, and we just really enjoyed a relaxing stay. Also one of the most dog friendly rentals we’ve had!

Diana‘s place was amazing. The space was light, airy and open, and the views breathtaking! She communicated very well, had a dog bed for us to borrow, the kitchen was outstanding and brought us both back to the days that we worked in kitchens in college, and we really enjoyed our stay. Hoping to stay there again if Diana feels the same way about us!

Loved our little escape in the middle of winter to Fritz Creek in Homer. The layout and setup of this location was perfect for my husband and myself and our mellow yellow lab. Interior decorating was Homer style, and everything and anything needed for preparing meals was available in this well stocked kitchen - they even provided the local favorite KBay Coffee! Thank you Diana, you made our stay safe with your exceptionally clean accommodations and allowed us to enjoy some Covid safe activities on the local beaches and ski trails with our family during the winter. We are very grateful!

Our experience at this property was perfect for us (a couple of introverts with a couple of dogs). The location was awesome as were the suggested places to walk posted on the refrigerator. The views were spectacular, the inside of the house was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. We even had front row seats to a great fireworks show from the living room on New Years.

This home is an absolute stunner! We needed an outlet from our house after months of living and working from home and this was the perfect escape. The home is well enough away from town to be quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to grab your groceries or to-go for dinner. Ski trails are a minute north and the best general store is just five minutes south. The kitchen is just as well equipped as the other reviews have mentioned, and I was extremely grateful for the coffee beans and Bialetti. The view never ceased to impress and we were treated to a lovely sunrise over the mountains. All the extra amenities for our dog were such a treat. I truly can’t recommend this home enough and will absolutely return the next time I’m in the Homer area.

Inviting home with wondrous view!

What a place to socially isolate -- pandemic or not! Contemporary yet warm and cozy, private, and about 10 miles east of town on a lovely hillside, this lovely home was our oasis for our first Alaska trip, a week in Homer. We spent every evening taking advantage of the midnight sun out on the deck chairs for two, with drinks and binoculars. Three big glaciers and Kachemak Bay fill the picture windows from the upstairs 'great room'. We loved cooking nightly in the well-equipped kitchen with many thoughtful touches -- and dining with a view you truly can't beat. To further enjoy the illusion of being residents, we walked the various trails on our hillside and stopped at the farm stand daily after excursions (including hiking the Grewingk Glacier trail and Grace Ridge Trail!). A few tips to guests: delicious chocolate chip walnut/pecan cookies at Red Bird Bakery on route home, authentic gelato at Carmen's on the Spit, farmer's market Wed/Sat, Thai-spiced rockfish fried whole at Little Mermaid (oh my!), lovely local art galleries in town... We feel lucky to have had this experience, especially during these C-19 days. Thank you!

I loved being able to watch the sunrise and sunset over the glaciers every morning and evening. The location is a bit of a drive away from town, but if you plan well it’s not a bad thing at all. (Pro tip: order your food ahead and pick it up on your way back home if you don’t feel like cooking!) Overall very peaceful and restful place. I can’t wait for our next visit.
