About this house rental
Offering a prime waterfront location just 25 miles from Auburn University. Situated on a private, wooded lot, it has a huge living area with a lovely fire place, an enormous 70 inch flat screen TV and a gorgeous view of Lake Martin. It’s a warm and comfortable environment with a mountain feel even though you're on the lake. Beautiful, large and fully stocked kitchen for home cooking with a dining area that will easily seat 12 guests. If you're not in the cooking mood there are several great restaurants within minutes of your perfect vacation spot. Everything from pizza and fish to great southern cooking!
Relax lakeside on the covered deck or on our private dock watching the family enjoy the lake. With the house only 50 feet from the water, the covered deck is like an extension of the house and yard. There is ample outside area for gathering and visiting. The property is situated directly on the water. We are on the quiet side of the 49th Street Bridge. Our home is perfect for folks with fishing boats or smaller boats, or rent our pontoon boat! There is 5 feet of clearance under the 49th Street Bridge. So the bigger boats don't come down our slew. This is a safe and relaxing spot for floating, swimming and fishing. Very kid friendly. Great swimming area in a safe - non boat traffic area. Secure your boat and PWC at your own private dock! This house has everything you need for the ultimate lakeside retreat! Great for families, fishing and hunting excursions, a peaceful retreat or attending Auburn’s sporting events.
Sleeping arrangements include a luxurious queen-sized bed in the master bedroom with 42 inch flat screen. Queen-sized bed in one guest bedroom with a 42 inch flat screen. The third bedroom sleeps five with a twin over full bunkbed and a twin over twin bunkbed and flat screen TV. All new plush mattresses and linens will ensure a restful night’s sleep during your stay. Both the master bathroom and guest bathroom have been beautifully renovated.

We had a great time. Renting the pontoon was definitely worth it. Easy communication with owner. The house is clean, and the dock and boat are in good shape. I have a foot injury and a bum knee and was still able to handle the steps and driveway slope.

Upon entering and seeing a large painting of a pier, extending out over lake, I knew the owners had put a good deal of thought into their decorating. The house is well-maintained and the availability of a pontoon boat was a great convenience. Owners are very responsive to questions.

Adorable cabin with amazing outdoor spaces! Screened porch overlooking the lake was peaceful and comfortable. Our daughter and friends loved stopping by for hot dogs and smores by the fire pit. Restaurants, grocery stores, directions, and all necessary information was provided. Wonderful communication! Will be passing this rental link on to other Auburn parents. Wish it was available for graduation weekend!!

The house was the perfect lake cabin—- rustic on a wooded lot with a nice porch with swings to hang out off the back of the house and a dock where you can hang out by the water. The inside is light and bright and comfortable. The bedrooms are nice and the bathrooms are clean— plenty of hot water even with 6 of us stating there. Also we cooked most of our meals and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils etc
We came specifically to go to the auburn game but made a long weekend of it. It was a very short ride to go to the game. In short we had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Great place!

Property was very nice and just a short 30 min drive into Auburn. Didn’t have much time at the house or to visit/eat anywhere near Lake Martin as we we super busy with parent’s weekend and a home night game. Do wish the beds in main rooms were bigger.

Very quiet area on the Lake. We rarely saw other people or boats. Great price for the house. We also enjoyed the pontoon boat, rode to a quiet cove nearby and stayed in the water floating. Loved the recliners on the sofas too.

We had such a great time! The covered porch with swings, overlooking the lake was such a great place to have our morning coffee! We loved taking the pontoon boat out each day to soak up some sun and enjoy the beautiful lake! Perfect and spacious home for the whole family and/or friends!

Everything was as shown online. The host was very fast with responding and communicating. The house is in a cove so very private and quiet. We did rent their boat as well which was so nice.

Such a peaceful place! This was our first trip to Lake Martin and we loved the location. There is easy access to the water, a nice, big fire pit, beautiful view from the deck and plenty of comfortable space indoors as well. Fridge is nice and big with plenty of space for food and drinks to feed a family. The owners are very responsive, responding to questions quickly and providing immediate assistance during our stay. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, evening games at the big dining room table, and swimming and paddle boarding without worry of speedy boats coming through!

Clean is a understatement! This is the cleanest vacation property we have ever stayed at! Great communication with owners! They have thought of practically everything you need and provided it! If you plan to be on a boat highly recommended downloading the Lake Martin Voice app, we navigated to all the popular land marks and restaurants by using this app! Love the quietness of the cove! Very safe for children to swim! Also being in the cove the water was so calm! We can not wait to return to this property! Thank you for an amazing week at your lake home!

The property was lovely. The only problem I had was that I am handicapped and walking is difficult. The property sits atop a big hill with a very steep driveway. This made egress/exit very difficult for me. This may have been mentioned in the listing-I really don’t remember. But the property was lake-front, quiet and beautiful!

The property itself was as shown on the website. The neighborhood was quite. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to family or friends. My only complaint was I didn't catch any fish [smile], but overall a good stay.

We loved the house and location. It was very private. Everything was clean and everything we needed was there. Gas grill was a great feature. Did not have to worry about charcoal for grilling. Fire pit and dock were nice. Thank you for letting us enjoy our weekend and sharing your lake house. We would recommend this house and saved this lake house on my favorite list.

What a great property! Off the beaten path and wonderful for a relaxing family vacation. We stayed for a week for our family vacation and we rented the pontoon. The fishing was great, the firepit was lovely, the kids used the paddle boat and absolutely had a blast! Great stay and Marian was absolutely lovely to deal with and couldn't have been a better host! Thank you so much we hope to return in the future!

We had the best time at Lake Martin! The weather was beautiful and over our 3 days of fishing, we caught over 100 fish. The cabin is beautiful and plenty big for a family and the area is so peaceful and serene...we never saw another person our entire trip! Definitely recommend this cabin!

We loved our stay! The house is so cozy and very clean. My girls loved the bunk room and we loved the view form our master bedroom. The weather was absolutely wonderful to wake up too and have coffee on the porch or on the pier. We weren't at the house much as we were busy with the football game but would love to come back and be able to stay longer! The driveway did scare me but I conquered it !!!! Beautiful hidden gem for a quiet retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this property. We spent a week there so we could visit family and attend two Auburn University football games. The owners were terrific. The property was clean and comfortable. We had 8 people staying there and never ran out of hot water for showers, how awesome is that. The driveway is extremely steep. Be careful if arriving after dark. The property does have good lighting along the driveway and parking areas.
We will definitely contact these owners for future trips.

Property was good for our needs. It is an older home that has been remodeled inside but was in need of maintenance around outside particularly the steps down to the dock. The deck was not clean, we had to clean all the spider webs out to sit down (big spiders). That said, we enjoyed our stay and Lake Martin is a must do vacation with lots of good places to eat and things to go do.

This was a beautiful home. It is a great place to relax, unwind & enjoy the peace & quite of the lake. I would suggest the owner to add grab bars in the tub. I would be very helpful for those of us that have mobility issues.
