The location was beautiful. Perfect area, little street noise, quiet, private beach, and amazing view. A few things about the house itself. None of the bathrooms are handicapped compliant. A wheelchair does not fit through the door, and does not fit into the separate toilet area. The listing says that there are minimal kitchen supplies, but there are plenty of large pots and pans, utensils, plates, and a Keurig. We brought our own not knowing these things were already there. Also, there are plenty of chairs on the decks. We brought several fold-up chairs also not knowing there were already several chairs available. We had several things either broken or not working at all. Both of the master suites on the lower level have lights above the bed that are not working at all. They both have jetted tubs. One of the jetted tubs does not plug up, so you can't fill it with water, and the jets themselves do not work. The other jetted tub does work, but we had to use a flat-head screwdriver to lift back up the plug to drain the tub. Several of the blinds either did not properly go up and down, and some were falling off of the top of the window pane. One of the bedrooms upstairs with one queen bed does not have a closet, and has a minimal dresser. We will definitely stay there again, these things were not deal breakers. But it would be helpful to update your listing to include these things mentioned so people can plan accordingly.

It was a grand home with a huge amount of bedrooms. A perfect layout. Location was wonderful…away from the tourism but close enough to get into it if we wanted to. The house has a fabulous kitchen. Great for large get togethers. We’ll be back!!

Beautiful home on the beach! Great location! Big home perfect for our big family, spacious and clean! Will stay again for sure!

The house was perfect for our extended family of 10. 6 adults and 4 cousins age 6-10. Each individual family had plenty of private space and there were 2 separate inside gathering areas to keep everyone comfortable and happy. The beach was an absolute highlight. The outdoor deck and patio areas were perfect. We purchased and/or brought our own beach toys, towels, and beach tent. Some of the furnishings getting a bit worn and though the oven was large, the main oven door didn’t close completely affecting cooking times//temps. Overall, the house and all its amenities met our needs well, helping us create a wonderful family memory of Galveston.

We have stayed here before. Had a few minor issues-entrance half bath handle stuck a few times. roll down shades rolled down but not up. We have so much fun together all works out and beach walking is awesome!!

There was plenty of room for us, floor plan was what we needed, and the view was spectacular!

We had a large group and the house was perfect. It’s right on the beach and just outside of all the crazy traffic of downtown.

This property must have been photographed years ago! It is listed as a "Premier Property" and it just did not meet up to those expectations.... couch in main
living room is actually coming apart.
.kids were afraid to sleep in bunk beds because of missing slats...toilets continually stopping up (wondered why there were plungers in every bath room!?)
Bottom of dishwasher was in pieces! Tub in one of masters is NOT for bathing...it is a hot tub for two people with faucets against back wall so you have to climb in just to turn on water...definitely not suitable for older adults.
I actually hate giving this house a bad review, because it has good bones and great location, but just isn't maintained well .....

This was the 6th time we have stayed at this house. It works well for our extended family get together. The beach is always in good shape and this year there has been some furniture updates that was nice. My only suggestion would be to replace/repair the dishwasher and ice maker.

Comfortable, well located, adequate. Property needs some TLC, e.g., loose fixtures, uneven window shades, warped deck boards, inadequate flatware for large group, broken glass tiles on dining room floor.

We are a blended family and had a large group to accommodate. The house was extremely comfortable, the kitchen perfect for cooking for a big group, the bedrooms pretty and private. The house looks exactly like the photos.
The view of the ocean is beautiful and the water is just steps from the back deck. We had a service deliver chairs and a canopy to our beach every morning and it was just perfect.
The location is great as it’s not too far from downtown Galveston and there are also a few really good restaurants nearby. Waterman’s and Coopers were both very good with excellent fresh seafood. The house is also a very short walk down the beach from a fun beachside bar; the Tipsy Turtle, where several of our young adult children would go for a drink and a few hours of fun. All in all it was a much better location than staying further down the island. We will definitely be back and won’t hesitate to stay here again!

Best beach location I’ve ever had. However, property is sorely in need of some TLC and some disclaimers on the description. Ice maker not working; Viking stove ovens don’t work, grill and griddle don’t work. Draperies in main floor bedrooms are sad!! Two plastic chairs on deck are broken and should be trashed before someone gets hurt. Worst of all is the dishwasher, the bottom rack is in several pieces making it difficult to say the least to load. If the location hadn’t been perfect I would have asked for a discount.

We had a wonderful experience and the house was perfect- right on the beach. The leasing company was very attentive- though we had a frustrating problem that the maintenance man didn’t fix- the smoke alarm would go off. ALL 3 days we were there we had an alarm going off briefly at a horrible hour! On our last day, it went off at 4:30 and 5:00am! But besides that frustration, it was fabulous!

Perfect home for a perfect time!
This home was perfect, so close to the beach. Wonderful size, the kitchen was dreamy, so close to town, quiet, great location, just perfect. Unforgettable memories and a beautiful time with family, is what this home is about.

Beautiful Beach
We had an enjoyable visit to Galveston! Wonderful location close to the action but far enough away to enjoy the beach peacefully.

We had 5 couples and 4 children 8-12 years old stay a week. Everyone had a bed, it didn't feel crowded.
It was wonderful having the 2 decks right on the beach. The old folks could sit on the deck and watch everyone playing. I initially felt it was over priced but after our wonderful stay I'd do it again.

Friends Birthday and beach weekend
We take a trip in Feb (to Galveston) every year to celebrate birthdays. It is 4 couples and kids (8 adults, 8 kids, 7 -17). If you want to stay on the beach, the location is perfect. A little away from the seawall so quieter, right on the beach, direct access. The deck overlooking the beach is amazing and I would think, GREAT, in the summer.
The house was clean and obtaining the key and access was efficient and a smooth process. We also liked all the bedrooms and bathrooms, so each family had their own. Those are all the good. The improvements needed....
For the price, the house is run down and worn. The bunk room and trundle bedroom are sterile and dingy. These are the things that did not work in the kitchen - the ice maker, the trash compactor (not that we would use it, but why keep another broken appliance in the house?), one of the two oven compartments, half the burners on the stove. The temp in the house is hard to control with the double living room (tall ceiling) and no blinds. The heater was blowing so hard on the main floor bedrooms to regulate the double living room, it made sleeping on the main floor almost unbearable. The living room is a wall of windows facing the ocean. While beautiful, it is blinding in the morning (they should install motorized shades on at least the top windows). The upstairs was just as bad, the kids bunk room was very hot. They should put fans in the bunk room and trundle room. The couch in the living room is worn down and felt dirty to sit on, like years of wear and tear.
The house needs a refresh and get the kitchen in full working order before we would consider this property again. Even with the pristine location, the broken appliances, wear and tear of furniture and the heating issue, we would not stay again, nor recommend this property. Also, ask for the rules before renting. There is a long list of them and the constant reminders of them, through email, was off putting. The property manager was efficient to work with and nice. But for the price, there were too many cons to make this a repeat location for us.

Great getaway
Even though the weather was not ideal, the house was a great place for my family and I to have some time away! Would recommend to others!

Wonderful house for family reunion
For the first time since covid started our whole family was able to gather for a long awaited family reunion. This property was the perfect place. There is ample space and the house was spotless on arrival. It is literally on the beach and the sound of the waves crashing 24/7 was incredible. Thank you for helping us to create very special memories.

Wonderful Stay!!
Our family throughly enjoyed this beautiful beach home for the thanksgiving holiday. There were 18 of us and we never crowded at all. The house was sparkling clean and the location is amazing. You are literally on the beach the moment you step off of the stairs. We truly appreciate the owners sharing their beautiful home with us and can’t wait to return!

Great property right on the beach.
Great for large family gatherings. Superior construction. Kitchen appliances were professional quality. Nice bedrooms and baths. The only negative for a property of this caliber were the broken plastic deck chairs and not enough cushions for the hard wood and iron deck seating.

The property was great; however, there was a serious gas line leak that interrupted our stay and the communication with host was minimal. The Plummer came out and insisted that it was not safe to stay home in the home. Mr Rooter showed me the leak and the foul gas smell was everywhere. We had to evacuate the property… and we still had family on the way. There was no gas to cook or wash ourselves. Our vacation was a shambles! Our feelings led from disappointment to anger. We had to find other options for our family members and financial support for other places to stay; and, It was a consuming nightmare! I finally received a call from the host’s emergency people telling us to evacuate the house without any consideration for what we were going to do for all of our family members. It was a disappointing time. We waited around with the help of the Texas gas service!for the rest of our family to arrive. He, The Texas Gas employee kept apologizing for the dangerous leak and stated it would be safe while he worked on it — and blaming it on the Plummer… ughhh!
The person who spoke with me stated that they would give us a full refund on Monday. We lost our bride and groom’s experience for over 30 hours of our stay— the majority of our stay.
It would be an expectation that the owners of a home that is rented out to vacationers would be fully inspected at a minimum — twice a year. THAT IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK!!!!!

Paradise at Last Always Great
I rent this home twice a year. One with family and one with a bunch of old ladies. It is ideal, especially having 2 master bedrooms with baths on lower floor to cut down on stair climbing.

girl getaway
Had a reunion of 12 women getting together after 30 years. We did need some of the beds made. Which is not much of a complaint!! Great beach, very secluded specially Mon, Tues., Wed.

Friend Reunion
The property was fantastic and laid out very well. Steps off the front deck right down to the private beach. The Tipsy Turtle is a short beach walk away. We would absolutely stay here again!
