There were 5 of us girls going away for an over due long weekend. We were so excited for rest and relaxation, but this just wasn't the place for us. The lake is gorgeous and the views are fantastic, but the accommodations were definitely not what we were expecting. It definitely felt more like glamorous camping than a house. We did not feel that the description on the listing or the photos of the accommodation accurately reflected the actual place. All of the spaces are very disjointed. There is a separate outdoor entrance to the kitchen, as well as each of the bedrooms. There is no living room, indoor dining room or space for guests to hang out other than the covered deck. The deck is also very nice, but is the only place to gather. The kitchen was very bare bones and also had large ants on the counters, many worms all over the floor and there was a large vent above the microwave that was leaking a significant amount of water onto the floor and into the microwave. There were a lot of bugs EVERWHERE. Obviously being in nature, near a lake we expected some, but it was really cumbersome and made the weekend less than ideal. We all saw bugs in the beds, bedrooms, bathroom, etc. When I went to shower there was a massive centipede in the bottom of the shower. I grabbed a shoe, smashed it and flushed it. I went back and turned on the water to the shower and a worm shot out of the shower head. I turned off the shower and decided I was better off without a shower. Again, the views are great and the lake felt amazing, but I wouldn't want to stay in this particular place again. It just wasn't for us and felt very over priced for what you get. Overall very bummed as 3 of us are moms of young children and were so excited about getting away with the girls for a weekend.

The house was clean and very well kept. The host was friendly and readily available should we have needed her. The porch, dock and fire pit area was perfect for outdoor fun. Filled propane tanks and fire wood available prior to check in was a very thoughtful touch. The only problems we encountered were: 1) access to the dock was dangerous. You had to balance down a board that was slick the day it rained. 2) there were 2 metal poles in the ground for securing the dock that were hard to see an night and a potential danger if fell on. 3) on the one day it rained you had to walk through the rain to access a bathroom or bedroom because those walkways were not covered. Overall a lovely home with great outdoor space. Enjoyed our stay here and plan on staying again. Thank you to the host.

Friendly host. The outdoor area was perfect to enjoy and have fun outside. Loved that there were no tvs in the home. Clean and well equipped. A few minor inconveniences, but manageable and didn’t cause problems. Overall wonderful, fun time with family. Plan to stay again.

Wonderful place
Wonderful place
This is the neatest set up ever. We loved the place. The beds were super comfortable and it had everything we needed for the weekend. The owner was very responsive and answered any questions we had. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans and utensils. The Blackstone grill on the deck was great also. There were a ton of chairs on the deck and down in the yard at the fire pit. The walk to the dock was better than most other places we have rented on lakes. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Family Experience
Great Family Experience
My family enjoyed everything about this home. We all loved the outdoor living area, we all actually “ hung out” together. During the day everyone played in the water. The kids would swim most of the day, and fish in the evening. The black stone grill was used daily, it was great. The location of the cabin is perfect, secluded and peaceful. The view from the deck was amazing. Overall it was a perfect getaway. We will definitely book again.

Rustic House-great time
Rustic House-great time
The property to the lake was perfect. A little steep, but nothing terrible. The outdoor shower, was AWESOME! The large patio was great to hang out under and eat with everyone. The separate unit was great as well to have a little privacy. No TV, which was nice to unplug for the weekend. When we first got there, we were surprised to find no living room, but it was fine. Didn't really need it anyway with being out on the lake the whole time we were there. 4 bedrooms and the separate unit had their own bedroom/bathroom. I was a little confused because when we called before, we asked if we needed our own bedding for the separate unit and they told us yes, but it had a bed and everything in it. IF you are looking for a quiet and rustic getaway, this is the first house for you. The water was amazing! Thank you for the stay!
