About this house rental
Step onto the balcony at Wave Runner and you're looking right at the ocean! Located across the street from Flagler Beach, our 2-story house has a sweeping view of coquina sands and blue waves. Spacious and luxe, it's the ideal venue for your vacation!
If you haven't discovered Flagler Beach yet, you're going to love this retro-style beach town between Palm Coast and Daytona Beach. Located 5 blocks from the house is the kid's parks, and 36 miles north is the beautiful city of St. Augustine, with its rich history. Blissfully undeveloped and low-key, it has uncrowded sands, great surf fishing, rolling waves, and just the right number of friendly cafes and stores for convenience. You'll feel like a local from the moment you stroll into Friends Cafe for breakfast and see fishermen and surfers stop in on their way home from a morning on the water.
And Wave Runner is the perfect house for your Flagler Beach vacation. Easily sleeping 10 in 4 bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa, it has 4 full bathrooms, a covered oceanfront balcony stretching the length of the house, a gourmet kitchen (blender and electric mixer among the kitchen appliances) and much more. From the free WiFi to BlueRay/DVD player in the living room, HDTVs in every bedroom, you're going to love it here!
The main living and dining area is on the second floor, where the views are breathtaking. Gleaming white tiled floors with soft area rugs lead to multiple sliding glass doors to the balcony. Throw them open and space becomes indoor/outdoor, a great place for entertaining in the salty sea breezes and balmy Florida air. Comfy couches and chairs seat the whole group around the large HDTV with DVD player, but there's also plenty of open space for the kids to spread out their toys.
On the other side of this huge, open space are the kitchen and dining room. And whether you're a gourmet chef or just like to watch them on TV, you'll love the kitchen at Wave Runner. We've stocked the custom cabinets with cookware, dishes, utensils, and gadgets -- everything you need to create the perfect sauce, or simply get the mac and cheese on the table for the kids! The appliances here are new, and the countertop makes a great breakfast bar for hungry little ones. Have them pull up the sturdy padded chairs and chat with you as you brew a pot of coffee, watch the tide roll in, and contemplate another perfect day on Flagler Beach!
You may find yourself taking most of your meals out to the balcony (or bundling them up and walking down to the beach for a truly al fresco meal!), but should you decide to dine indoors, the long table is a great place to gather the group. It comfortably seats a crowd, with windows on two sides. And after the meal has been cleared, break out the Cranium, put on your favorite music, and enjoy an evening of old-fashioned family fun.
The primary suite is also located on the second floor, and once you see it, you'll find yourself looking forward to the end of each day almost as much as the beginning! The bedroom has a king-sized bed, HDTV, and en-suite bath with his-and-her vanities and a walk-in shower. Privacy, plenty of space, and every luxury are provided here. Plan to sleep late every morning!
Another bedroom is also located on the second floor. Boasting 2 twin beds and its own TV, this is a great room for small children who prefer to sleep close to their parents, or for other friends or relatives. It has plenty of storage space and is convenient to the second full bathroom on this floor.
Travel downstairs and you find 2 more bedrooms and 2 more baths! Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed, private TV, and sliding-glass door access to the shaded patio (with beach views!). Both bathrooms have walk-in showers, and one is particularly large, with dual vanities and a tub option as well as a shower. This is ideal for returning beachgoers, who can wash off the last traces of sand and change clothes before heading upstairs. (The laundry room is on this floor too).
A1A will be under construction until the end of 2019. Google maps or Maps (Apple Devices) may not provide accurate directions.

Lover the house, place was fantastic and hist was amazing! Highly recommend!

The pictures of the house do not show how beautiful & nice it truly is! The place was spotless when we arrived & with every bedroom having it’s own bathroom, no one had to wait for a shower! The outside shower was helpful to wash off sand before coming inside. We loved the proximity to restaurants. The beds were very comfortable & the furniture was very nice.

We had 8 grown adults and our 10 month old grandson on our annual beach trip. The house is very roomy and met our basic needs. We walked to several restaurants for dinner and breakfast. We also ate in for several days and made due with all of the kitchen supplies. My only regret was the small beds didn't accommodate adults very well. They were extremely squeaky and noisy. Overall, we had a great memorable trip and that was my goal for this trip!

Overall the inside of the property was very clean. It does need some updates and minor repairs ( outlet on balcony is broken and other outlets are loose) washer and dryer could be updated. We had to fix the garbage disposal, bathroom sink and leaky toilet.
The property outside needs some TLC.
It is just a short walk to the beach and I’m walking distance of a few restaurants.
Would also be nice if it was stocked with some basics like toilet paper, trash bags, etc…

We had the best time at Wave Runner - The location is perfect - within walking distance to 3 different restaurants.
The house was well stocked with plenty of kitchen items and utensils - we left aluminum foil and plastic wrap for the next guests. 4 bed and 4 bathrooms was a DREAM - no one had to wait!!! We will definitely put the Wave Runner on our LIST of return visits!!!!

1920 was a great place for our beach trip this summer! Everything was easy with the rental process. House was clean and had everything we needed for the week! Great food within walking distance.

Very comfortable, enough pots/pans to cook with. Enough towels for showering but not for the beach. The beach umbrellas needed updating, they were not functional, not a deal breaker though. Location was great, between Daytona and St Augustine. Even though it was right on A1A you could not hear the cars inside, very solid house.
The best part was a stunning sunrise every morning!

This property was so great to be at for Easter! the house is right on the water and there were so many sunrise church services! Walking distance to lots of restaurants too!

Location was peaceful even though we were there as LEE the Hurracaine was moving through out at sea. The nearness of several great restaurants was appreciated . We especially liked Craves, Oceanside and the Cuban Coffee Cafe

The house it’s self was nice but it smelled like smoke when we arrived. They had a pack and play for my baby but after getting home all of his blankets smelled like smoke. Also the house wasn’t stocked with anything, no sponge, cleaning supplies, or extra toilet paper or paper towels. Probably wouldn’t stay again but it did the job.

Nice location to beach and restaurants. Comfortable place to relax and share time with family or friends. And remember to bring your own wine opener ;-)

Overall, a group of 9 friends enjoyed their time together at this location. Very spacious common area for us to be all together. We especially enjoyed the view from the 2nd floor porch. Everyone spent some time out there enjoying the waves.
Here are the things we loved:
The front porch and the view from there.
Large common area to be together.
Kitchen and how well it is stocked.
Large Island.
Large dining table
Location: we ate from Rocky's Pizza, Funky Pelican and The Net by George. We left a menu. It was very good!
Here are the things that would have made us love it even more:
New living room furniture and carpet. Seating was not all that comfortable
A larger TV in the living room.
New mattresses on all the beds. The sofa bed is not really a sleeping option.
Master Bedroom shower that does not leak.
In twin bed room - TV with more than 1 channel option
In downstairs hall bathroom - a new shower curtain. Current one has mold.

Great location - needs updating
The location is awesome! Great quiet beach. The home itself needs a lot of updates. There was broken tile downstairs that was raised and covered by a rug, laundry room lights didn’t work, dryer took about 3x to get anything dry, the doorknob was hanging off the main entrance, sleeper sofa was broken. It is a nice house but does need some work.

We got together with family for Christmas and really enjoyed our stay.
The property was close enough to all the attractions we wanted to see, it provided enough beds and bathrooms for everyone, the surf and sunrise was awesome and we had a great time. The seating in the livingroom needs to be updated.

Great stay!
We had a great stay! House was clean, well appointed with all that we needed, wonderful views and walking distance to shops, cafes, etc. Loved the quaint beach town if Flagler. The Net by George is right next door and is a great seafood restaurant. Could not have had a better stay!

Back in Time
Very quiet vacation. Basically had the beach to ourselves. The place was very clean and updated. Exceeded our expectations The beachtown of Flagler Beach is just extremely nostalgic and very good restaurants all around. If you bring stuff you need you won’t need to cross the bridge. We had runners, beach bums, shade loving folks who read, it fits all needs. No exaggeration a real hidden gem of a place.

Fantastic View
The sunrises at this property was amazing. The property was very clean and updated inside. Having a garage was a welcome sight, a great place for our Beach Chairs and Sand accessories. The outside was need of repairs, the outside of the house needed washed, none of the outside door handles worked and most didn't lock.

Great location needs a lot of work and updates
We had a wonderful time but this house needs some work. Broken refrigerator doors, broken fences, broken outside shower, over grown landscaping, and terrible curb appeal. The home itself is fine, cleanish, but comically outdated. Location is great but this home wasn’t what we expected and there was an unexplained charge for $700 when we reviewed and questioned, I have yet to be answered.
Come with friends or family who are easy to please because this wasn’t a terrible experience but certainly not worth the money.

Great place!
Overall this was an exceptional stay for our group of 10. Plenty of room and bathrooms. We had a few maintenance issues upon arrival and for the most part they were handled quickly. Bring extra EVERYTHING, there is one use of laundry and dishwasher soap, and about three garbage bags. Excellent location, we saw dolphins every morning and evening, and taking one minute walk to the beach was perfect!! We will be back.

PERFECT!
Everything was PERFECT! Very clean, amazing views of the ocean, it’s right across the street. With easy beach access, lots of delicious restaurants to chose from, a lot of cute shops all very close to the house! We rented a gulf cart and used that for most of our traveling. Would 100% recommend staying here!

Decent stay but could have been a lot better
The location was great and the house was large and clean. Check-in process was fine but once getting into the house and settling in, there were a few things that could have been better. The towels left on the beds were clean and folded but were still wet. I had to put them all in the dryer for another 20 minutes. There was also only hand soap in one of the four bathrooms and only one small bar of soap for the four showers in the whole house. No shampoo or conditioner anywhere. There was a washer and dryer but no detergent or dryer sheets. Only the one trash bag that was in the can when we arrived. No napkins. Only a half-used paper towel roll in the kitchen, etc etc...(If there was extra soap / shampoo / detergent / paper towels / etc. they are very well hidden). The management company states that you get starter items but these should be standard and I found to be very lacking. There’s a few maintenance items that should be considered too such as broken fences, a broken gate laying on the ground, the VTrips rental sign rusted and laying in the weeds (seemed fitting IMO!) and a broken external light fixture on the first floor hanging by the wires. The biggest selling point of the whole property is the location and view of the ocean but of the six sliding glass doors, I’d say four of them are fogged and it impacts the visibility of the water. The doors that weren’t fogged did have a great view and we spent some good times on the 2nd floor porch (beyond those doors) watching the waves. The doors were definitely fogged - it was not condensation as I wiped the inside and outside of the doors when we first arrived hoping it was just condensation.
Overall the stay was pretty good but I ended up having to go out to the store and buy soap, shampoo, detergent, a corkscrew, trash bags, paper towels, etc. that you’d really expect a short term rental to provide. I sent an email to the management company about these things on our first morning there and they never responded or offered to bring over any soap, shampoo or anything else. I still haven’t heard from them four days after checking out.
If you’re looking for a cheaper option near the water then this place might suit you but be sure to bring everything you’d need as it’s unlikely you’ll be provided with what should be considered “starter” items. I don’t think I’d say there again and would look for somewhere better.

Great location, but the stay could be more comfortable.
We rented this property for a family getaway. The location is great, you just walk across the road to get to the beach. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The property itself was clean but the furniture, couches and rug felt dirty. We laid out sheets in order to sit on the couches. The stay would have been more comfortable if the couches didn’t look so bad. We will probably not stay here again. But it’s a good location for the price.

Clean and Comfortable!
Don't let the exterior fool you. This property is immaculate and all the comforts inside were well maintained. The location would have been amazing outside of a pandemic (lots of local bars and restaurants) but we enjoyed waking up to the ocean and was the perfect location north of Daytona where we were scheduled to race the weekend of our stay. The perfect combination between lively and relaxing. Would absolutely stay at this location again!!

This was just a wonderful house! The property was well maintained and pretty clean ( there were a few dirt marks on some of the walls but everything else was great!) We had a small issue with the garbage disposal but it was fixed quickly. There was more than enough room for 5 adults and 1 small child who stayed at the home. We couldn't believe the amazing ocean view and really enjoyed sitting on the balcony during the early morning and evening. You could walk to the beach in under a minute as access was basically right across the street. I would highly recommend this property and hope to come back again!!

Extended Family COVID vacation
The location was what we hoped for. Access to a quiet beach was perfect and we had the bedrooms and bathrooms we needed. The house was not ready when we arrived at 4:15. We still ended up sweeping food from the patio and found sand/food in the pantry and a cabinet. I had been told a loaner grill would be made available. That did not happen. I emailed about the housekeeping issues and a broken patio chair and wine glass and never received a response. The space was just right for our group, but furnishings are dated. Blinds are broken and there is no way to close windows to avoid waking up with the sunrise. Beds and couches are not comfortable. I found hairs (not mine) on the mattress pad when I stripped our sheets upon leaving. It is advertised as having only starter supplies. I am surprised that there was not at least small liquid soaps for hand washing. We were asked (as is typical) to run the dishwasher as we left, but there was only one dishwasher soap provided. The beach and the space have great potential, updates and upkeep are needed. Cleanliness was not what we hoped for, especially given these times. I was glad I arrived prepared with Clorox wipes and hand washing supplies.

Last minute beach trip
The Wave Runner was perfect for our family. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out and the ocean was beautiful. The beach was a little disappointing and we didn’t have direct access. We had had to walk to a public boardwalk to access the beach.

Perfect for a family
We enjoyed our stay at Waverunner. It was just not ideal for several members of our family. The house is great! Neat, clean, good location in town and ocean is right across the street. Although beach access is about 8/10 of mile from the house. Also the beach is not very easily accessed for anyone with a mild disability. The slope is very steep on the beach and getting in and out of the ocean is a very steep climb at the beach access close to the house. We understand this is due to the recent hurricane washing the sand away. Due to this issue members of our group could not enjoy the beach or the ocean which was very disappointing! When you go to the beach you would like to enjoy the beach. The management of this property could not have been more helpful. We had several issues while there and all were taken care of to the best of their ability. Even with the issues and the beach access for mobility issues we still enjoyed our week at Waverunner. If you are looking for a family friendly place to stay this house is perfect with plenty of room!

Great vacation area
Good location, walking distance to restaurants. Easy access to beach. House is good if nothing especially fancy.
Could use a better post beach shower/footwash solution, current one does not work very well

Excellent home for a family vacation
We have enjoyed this home very much as it was immaculate and very spacious. The location is about a mile from the small downtown and it was great to have the sidewalk to walk or run on. As others said, the beach is small and it is not crowded at all which was what we wanted. The only reason I gave the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the insurance we purchased was not recognized by VTrips when we thought we had to cancel the trip even thou I purchased the insurance when I made the reservation.

Great house!
The house is great. The beach area is small. Views of sunrise were fantastic. Could use a new coffee maker or at least the proper filters with coffee being an essential part of the day lol

Great location
Our house had everything you would need. Ten miles south to Daytona and twenty five miles north to St Augustine if you want a little more action. We did both. But we mostly enjoyed the unobstructed view of the ocean from our deck. The sunrises in the mornings and the moon lit water at night made the trip. We will be back. Thanks for everything.
