About this house rental

Cozy little house on several acres of flat ground just minutes from town. Easy access to this nicely maintained property located on a paved road. The property is well kept with beautiful views off the bluff at the back of the property. It is an attractive and relaxing setting with convenient access to the many attractions of the Durango area.

Distances to popular places:
5 minute drive to the edge of Durango.
16 minute drive to the Durango & Silverton Railroad.
18 minute drive to Durango regional airport.
39 minute drive to Purgatory Ski Resort.

The house is about 1300 sq. ft. and has two bedrooms with and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is connected to the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a nice hide-a-bed in the living room that will allow space for up to 6 people.

There is a full kitchen and dining room and living room that is fully equipped with stove, microwave, dishwasher. There are dishes and pots and pans and spices, etc.

Also a back deck and front porch that are great for just enjoying the great outdoors that Colorado has to offer!

Also, there is the possibility to play pickle ball on the property. It’s not set up all the time, but if you just let us know you are interested we can set it up for you!

The owners live on the property part-time in a separate apartment that is detached from the main house. They often stay off the property while guests are there but will be available if you should need anything.

Here are a couple things you should be aware of in advance:
We do not have any TV's in the house. Also, if you put in a request or message me on a Sunday it will be Monday morning before I can get back with you.

Beautiful outdoor property! No TV (noted in vrbo listing) but there is wifi. Furniture is outdated but comfortable. Very convenient location.

Beautiful property very peaceful and great location. We loved the surroundings and enjoyed our stay. Morning coffee at the deck enjoying the mountains were the best moments.Lots of board games for kids and pickle ball court too.

Cozy Pines Home was in a great location. Outside of city but close enough to explore in town. Very clean and Gary provided a warm welcome. The outside seating area had a great view of the river/stream. Kitchen was very well-equipped! Appliances were way beyond expectations! I think our next washer/dryer will be a GE! The Meadow Market is an added plus and close. All in all a very enjoyable stay! Would recommend!

The property was vreat with an amazing deck with a beautiful view. Everything you need for a long or short stay is provided. Our only complaint would be the water...it had an odor, hard to regulate the temp in the showers, and we did not drink it. The owner does provide bottled water so that is nice. Overall great stay, just be aware of the water.

This was the perfect base camp for our adventure in the San Juan Mountains. We loved the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway. And Mesa Verde National Park, Pagosa Springs and Chimney Rock are all worth a visit. I highly recommend the San Juan Skyway!!

This was the best spot I've ever stayed in. Well appointed, flexible owners, great views, located in the woods, but close to everything. I would definitely stay here and this was an 11/10.... can't say enough good things about it!!!!

If you enjoy space and comfort. This is the place for you and family. Sit on the balcony and listen to the river.... Delicious bakeries down the street and Historic Downtown Durango just 10mins away.

This was our 2nd time staying here and we love it here! The cabin is so awesome with a Full kitchen and great space. It’s quiet and secluded and plenty of space for the kids to play.

The cabin was clean and cozy. There is no tv, which helped us be more in the moment. A bunch of card games and board games are provided. And the check-in and -out process was simple and smooth.

A well kept home about 10-15 from downtown in an area with beautiful views. The house was clean. The stay was perfect. The owner, Gary, was easy to talk with. He was kind and knowledgeable about the area. I will definitely be back.

Very cozy and clean. Host was helpful and quick to respond. This was a great location for us. One way was Bayfield where we worked and also close to Durango downtown where plenty of shopping and places of great restaurants are located.

We had such a wonderful time! The house had everything you could need. And the outside was absolutely beautiful. A deck overlooking a little canyon. A front porch swing. It was peaceful and homey and we loved it.

We LOVE this place and didn't want to leave! It felt like being at Grandma's house—such a gorgeous setting with lots of space inside and out. The deck on the back of the property overlooking the Florida River was one of our favorite spots. The house is close to everything and far enough outside the city that felt rural. The cleaners were leaving when we got there (a little early), and they did a great job! The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The kitchen was well stocked with many cooking appliances, bowls, silverware, cups, etc! The game closet was a treasure trove of fun! The smell of the pine trees was incredible! The front porch swing was the cherry on top! I also REALLY appreciated the Bath and Body Works hand soap and lotion! I have never had that in a VRBO. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they had wifi available for us. Check-in and communication were great and easy! Both Garys were very nice and helpful. We can't wait to go back!

Our stay was wonderful. the perfect size for a family. The kids favorite was the swing. The adults favorite was the swing on the porch and the deck by the creek. 10-15 min to anything needed. Mesa verde was easy 1 hour drive. Host was very responsive.

The “Cozy Cabin” was a great cabin for our family vacation. (4 adults, 2kids) We were very comfortable for a 5 night stay. Gary and Anna were great hosts. The property is perfect distance from town, has great views of mountains and Florida River. We had a lot of fun with the Pickleball court they have on the grounds.

Absolutely loved the house, it had everything we needed. The outside deck and scenery was beautiful, it was very clean. The location was perfect, close enough to get to town and get there in a short time, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The Durango/Sliverton train station was about 15 minutes away. I would recommend this home to anyone.

The Cozy Cabin was the perfect location for our stay in Durango. The house is so clean, well-supplied, and spacious. The surrounding property was a beautiful, idyllic mountain escape that is close enough to town that it isn't a hassle to make a store run. My children, who are teen and pre-teen, spent all their time outside exploring and playing on the swing. That was an unexpected and welcome change! We will definitely plan to stay here again. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for helping to make our stay a home away from home!

This location is an easy drive to Durango and in a quiet country setting. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the tools needed. If you want a place that doesn't have immediate neighbors, this is it.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cozy Cabin in the Pines! The cabin is warm and inviting - and it's clear that much love and care has been taken into making it so. The beds were super comfortable (as were the rocking recliner chairs) and every need was catered for. The setting was just perfect - we loved watching and listening to the birds in the pines, and the view from the deck over the Florida River was spectacular. It was an easy drive down into town but far out enough that we were away from the hustle and bustle. If we're ever in Durango again (which we hope to be, it's a gorgeous town!), we'd stay at Cozy Cabin again in a heartbeat.

Lovely property with everything anyone could need. Evenings spent on back deck listening to the Florida River running below and watching all the birds and wildlife. Responsive, friendly hosts. This was our ( my self and 4 kids) first time renting a house when we traveled and let me tell you it was the best! They had everything we needed and more. Very clean and well kept. The wood stove that they have was one of our favorites. We hope to stay again in the future.

Owner was easy to communicate with regarding and questions we had. Check in included a fire going in the wood burning stove 🔥. Cozy, comfy feel! The mountain views all around were amazing. Great location for hanging in downtown Durango or skiiing at Purgatory. And…this kitchen is fully stocked for pots, pans, silverware, ect…no shortness of what you need to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

The cabin was perfect for my family! It was stocked with items you would expect (extra pillows, toilet paper, etc) but also had extra bathroom soaps, plenty of towels, kitchen items, blankets, etc. The owner had the wood burning stove going for us for when we arrived- which was so nice!! We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Cozy, comfortable and peaceful. Everything is as advertised and more. Great beds, handy location, gorgeous setting, fully stocked supplies - we actually stayed twice during our trip and this is our number one choice for the next Durango adventure. Our 7 year old especially loved the swing and spending time with Louella! Thanks Gary & Anna, honestly the best holiday rental we have experienced.
